Minimizing tissue damage due to filler injection with systemic hyperbaric oxygen therapy

  • Recently, there is a growing interest of hyperbaric oxygen therapy in many fields of medicine. We had a 43-year-old female patient presented with severe necrosis of the nose, philtrum, and upper lip due to retrograde arterial occlusion after nasolabial fold hyaluronic acid filler injection. Our patient went through 43 sessions of systemic hyperbaric oxygen therapy from December 2, 2017 to January 18, 2018. We administered 2.8 atmosphere absolute (ATA) for 135 minutes in the first session and the remaining sessions consisted of 2.0 ATA for 110 minutes. In reporting this case, we wish to provide a warning regarding the latent risk of filler injections and share our experience about minimizing soft tissue damage in the early stages with systemic hyperbaric oxygen therapy.

  • In general, companies operate systematically in response to financial risks such as exchange rates and liquidity, while they are vulnerable to risks in the manufacturing and sales processes. In particular, logistics refers to the activities for planning, managing and implementing efficient flows from the starting point of goods and products to the point of consumption, The purpose of this study was to develop key risks and key risk management indicators (KRIs) for risks that undermine logistics efficiency so that logistics risks can be effectively prevented and managed. As a result, 40 risk management indicators (KRIs) were developed in a total of six categories in the logistics sector, and the definition, calculation method and early warning grade of each KRI were presented so that companies could prevent risks in advance in logistics activities and contribute to enhancing efficiency of their work.

  • Based on the problems of untimely Expressway fire rescue and backward traditional fire rescue methods, an emergency fire fighting and inspection robot riding on expressway guardrail is designed. The overall mechanical structure design of emergency fire fighting and inspection robot riding on expressway guardrail is completed by using three-dimensional design software. The target fire detection is realized by using the target detection algorithm of Yolov5; By selecting a variety of sensors and using the control method of multi algorithm fusion, the basic function of robot on duty early warning is realized, and it has the ability of intelligent fire extinguishing. The BMS battery charging and discharging system is used to detect the real-time power of the robot. The design of the expressway emergency fire fighting and inspection robot provides a new technical means for the development of emergency fire fighting equipment, and improves the reliability and efficiency of expressway emergency fire fighting.

Evaluation Method of College English Education Effect Based on Improved Decision Tree Algorithm

  • With the rapid development of educational informatization, teaching methods become diversified characteristics, but a large number of information data restrict the evaluation on teaching subject and object in terms of the effect of English education. Therefore, this study adopts the concept of incremental learning and eigenvalue interval algorithm to improve the weighted decision tree, and builds an English education effect evaluation model based on association rules. According to the results, the average accuracy of information classification of the improved decision tree algorithm is 96.18%, the classification error rate can be as low as 0.02%, and the anti-fitting performance is good. The classification error rate between the improved decision tree algorithm and the original decision tree does not exceed 1%. The proposed educational evaluation method can effectively provide early warning of academic situation analysis, and improve the teachers' professional skills in an accelerated manner and perfect the education system.

EARLY WARNING FORECASTS FOR COVID-19 IN KOREA USING BAYESIAN ESTIMATION OF THE TRANSMISSION RATE

  • Tendency prediction of daily confirmed cases is an important issue for public health authorities. To protect the tendency, we estimate the transmission rate of stochastic SEIR model for COVID-19 in Korea using particle Markov chain Monte Carlo method. The results show that the increasing and decreasing tendency of estimated transmission rate appear one or two days in advance compared to daily incidence cases, and as time evolves the standard deviation of the estimates of transmission rate reduces. Since ten months have passed since the first incident case of COVID-19 in Korea, we expect to forecast the tendency of daily confirmed cases for the next one or two days more accurately using our method.

  • 본 논문은 국가 정보통신 인프라체계를 대상으로 한 사이버 위협에 대해서 전사적 조기경보체계 구축 방안을 제시하였다. 전사적 조기경보체계는 조기경보시스템을 활용하여 사이버 공격의 징후정보를 초기에 수집, 분석하고 이를 통해 예측할 수 있는 사이버 공격 경로를 사전에 파악하여 공격이 더 이상 진행되지 않고 심각한 피해가 발생하지 않도록 네트워크로 연결된 모든 정보통신체계나 보안 관리자들에게 관련 정보를 신속하게 전파하여 위협을 제거할 수 있도록 하는 체계이다. 국가 정보통신 인프라체계에서 사이버전의 확산과 피해를 줄이기 위해서는 조기경보체계를 국가 기간망 체계와 사이버전의 특성을 고려하여 구축하여야 한다. 본 논문에서는 국가 대상 사이버전이 발생할 경우를 대비하여 조기경보체계 구축 방안을 정책적 및 기술적 측면에서 제시하였다.

An improved sparsity-aware normalized least-mean-square scheme for underwater communication

  • Underwater communication (UWC) is widely used in coastal surveillance and early warning systems. Precise channel estimation is vital for efficient and reliable UWC. The sparse direct-adaptive filtering algorithms have become popular in UWC. Herein, we present an improved adaptive convex-combination method for the identification of sparse structures using a reweighted normalized leastmean-square (RNLMS) algorithm. Moreover, to make RNLMS algorithm independent of the reweighted l1-norm parameter, a modified sparsity-aware adaptive zero-attracting RNLMS (AZA-RNLMS) algorithm is introduced to ensure accurate modeling. In addition, we present a quantitative analysis of this algorithm to evaluate the convergence speed and accuracy. Furthermore, we derive an excess mean-square-error expression that proves that the AZA-RNLMS algorithm performs better for the harsh underwater channel. The measured data from the experimental channel of SPACE08 is used for simulation, and results are presented to verify the performance of the proposed algorithm. The simulation results confirm that the proposed algorithm for underwater channel estimation performs better than the earlier schemes.

  • 행정안전부는 뉴딜사업 일환으로 인명피해 우려가 높은 산악지역 및 마을 상류부에 위치한 재해위험지구, 급경사지 및 노후저수지 등에 대해 위기상황에 신속·정확하게 작동하는 조기경보시스템 구축 사업을 진행 중이다. 특히 재난발생 시, 인명피해에 가장 민감한 조기경보발령에 대해서는 지역적 수리·수문특성을 고려한 단계별 위험요소(강우량, 수위, 조위 등)를 정량화하여 위험지역 내 주민들이 적절한 대응을 할 수 있도록 조기경보 기준을 정립하는 것이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 충청남도 보령시를 관통하는 대천천 유역에서 집중호우가 발생할 경우 침수피해 발생 가능성이 높은 대천천 하상주차장 구간을 중심으로 상류의 청천저수지에서 방류하는 홍수량과 하류의 서해 조위가 대천천 본류의 하상주차장에 미치는 영향을 수리학적 모형을 이용하여 분석하고자 하였다.
