좌회전 감응신호제어방법 개발에 관한 연구 (Study on Development of the Left-Turn Actuated Signal Control Method)

  • 실시간신호제어시스템(COSMOS)에서 좌회전 감응신호제어 시 U-Turn 차량을 고려하지 않아 좌회전 차로가 U-turn 공용차로로 운영될 경우, U-Turn차량의 혼입으로 인해 일반적인 좌회전 차량의 통행특성과 달라지므로 최소녹색시간 및 진행연장시간의 증가에 따른 좌회전 조기종결의 문제가 종종 발생하고 있다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위하여, 본 연구에서는 좌회전 감응신호제어용 검지기(좌회전 정지선 후방 12m위치)를 U-Turn 허용차선 시작부분으로 이격(Set-Back)하고, 상기의 문제를 해결하는 좌회전 감응 신호제어방법을 개발하였다. 또한, 상기 개발방법의 적용성 평가를 위하여 TRANSYT-7F, VISSIM을 이용한 모의실험을 수행하였으며, 교통상황(포화, 근포화, 비포화), 신호제어 방법(고정식 신호제어, COSMOS 좌회전 감응신호제어, 개발 방법의 좌회전 감응신호제어), U-Turn 비율(10, 20, 30%)에 따라 다양하게 수행하였다. 상기의 모의 실험결과에 의하면, 포화(V/C = 1.0), 근포화(V/C = 0.8)교통상황에서 개선효과가 있는 것으로 분석되었다.

A Fast TU Size Decision Method for HEVC RQT Coding

  • The emerging high efficiency video coding (HEVC) standard adopts the quadtree-structured transform unit (TU) in the residual quadtree (RQT) coding. Each TU allows to be split into four equal sub-TUs recursively. The RQT coding is performed for all the possible transform depth levels to achieve the highest coding efficiency, but it requires a very high computational complexity for HEVC encoders. In order to reduce the computational complexity requested by the RQT coding, in this paper, we propose a fast TU size decision method incorporating an adaptive maximum transform depth determination (AMTD) algorithm and a full check skipping - early termination (FCS-ET) algorithm. Because the optimal transform depth level is highly content-dependent, it is not necessary to perform the RQT coding at all transform depth levels. By the AMTD algorithm, the maximum transform depth level is determined for current treeblock to skip those transform depth levels rarely used by its spatially adjacent treeblocks. Additionally, the FCS-ET algorithm is introduced to exploit the correlations of transform depth level between four sub-CUs generated by one coding unit (CU) quadtree partitioning. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed overall algorithm significantly reduces on average 21% computational complexity while maintaining almost the same rate distortion (RD) performance as the HEVC test model reference software, HM 13.0.

부모의 게슈탈트적 언어 중재가 유창성장애인의 유창성 개선에 미치는 영향 (Parent's Gestalt Speech Intervention for Fluency Development of Fluency Disorder he Subject of Essay)

  • 본 연구는 부모의 게슈탈트적 언어중재를 통한 유창성장애인의 유창성 개선에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위해 실시하였다. 부모의 게슈탈트적 언어중재 과정은 유창성장애인의 말더듬 행동에 대한 이해, 자각, 변화, 적응 그리고 유지단계로 실시하였다. 연구 대상은 신경학적 손상이나 다른 언어 및 발달 장애가 없는 유창성장애인 6명(여성 2명, 남성 4명)으로 하였다. 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 부모의 게슈탈트적 언어중재 후 유창성장애인의 말더듬 빈도는 감소하였다. 대상자 모두 비정상적인 유창성 중 단어부분 반복이 치료 전에는 가장 많이 빈도를 나타내었으나 치료 후에는 가장 적은 빈도를 나타내어 개선을 보였다. 그러므로 부모의 게슈탈트적 언어중재는 유창성장애인의 말더듬 빈도를 감소시키며 행동을 긍정적 방향으로 개선시키데 효과가 있었다.

2차원 리샘플링에 기반한 광선추적법의 속도 향상 기법 (Speed Enhancement Technique for Ray Casting using 2D Resampling)

  • 볼륨 데이타에 대한 팔진트리와 같은 계층 자료구조를 사용하는 광선 추적법은 모든 광선이 계층구조를 순회하는 것으로 인한 중복된 계산을 포함하고 있으며, 좋은 화질의 영상을 얻기 위한 3차원 보간으로 인하여 많은 계산 비용을 요구한다. 본 논문은 볼륨 데이타의 계층구조에 대한 중복된 방문을 피하고, 오직 한 번만 계층구조를 방문하면서 효과적으로 광선의 리샘플링 지점을 결정하여 색상과 투병도를 구하는 볼륨 렌더링 알고리듬을 제안한다. 이 방법은 물체 순서로 광선 추적법을 수행하면서, 각 복셀 주위에서의 리샘플링 지점을 점진적으로 찾아가면서 각 슬라이스 상에서의 2차원 보간에 기반을 둔 리샘플링을 수행한다. 또한 물체 순서 렌더링에서는 조기 광선 종결과 같은 최적화 기법을 구현하기 힘든데, 영상공간에서의 동적 자료구조를 이용하여 이를 효과적으로 해결하였다 본 논문이 제안한 방법은 구현하기 쉽고 속도 향상을 위하여 추가적으로 요구되는 메모리가 매우 적기 때문에 광선 추적법과 쉬어 와핑 방법 사이의 성능 차이를 메워주는 효과적인 방법으로 사용될 수 있을 것이다.

Growth, Physiological Responses and Ozone Uptake of Five Betula Species Exposed to Ozone

  • The objectives of this study were to examine the physiological responses to ozone and to measure ozone uptake rates of Betula species exposed to relatively high concentration of pollutants. At the end of the growing season, photosynthesis, pigments contents, antioxidants (SOD and GR) and ozone uptake rates were measured or estimated at the leaves of five Betula species (Betula costata, B. davurica, B. platyphylla var. japonica, B. schmidtii and B. ermanii) exposed to 100ppb ozone concentration. On the termination of the experiment, growth effects were determined by measuring leaf area and dry weights of leaf, stem and root. Ozone treatment showed the significant reduction the leaf area and dry weight of four Betula species, except for B. ermanii. Shoot / root (SR) ratio of five species represented two different types. SR ratio of B. costata and B. davurica were lower than control, in contrast, SR ratio of B. platyphylla var. japonica, B. schimidtii and B. emani, were higher than that of control. The photosynthetic responses of five species were different in responses to ozone exposure. Four species, except for B. emanii, maintained or increased the stomatal conductance, but B. emanii decreased both stomatal conductance and photosynthesis. SOD activities of five species decreased by the ozone exposure, especially B. ermanii showed the largest reduction, GR activities of B. platyphylla var. japonica and B. schmidtii increased, B. costata and B. emanii decreased. Instantaneous ozone uptake rate was the highest at the leaves of B. ermanii and B. costata, ozone uptake per seedling was the highest at the leaf of B. schmidtii and B. emanii. It was concluded that B. costata, B. davurica and B. platyphylla var. japonica, appeared the growth reduction and visible ozone injury, were sensitive species to ozone, and B. schmidtii with the increased antioxidant activity and B. ermanii without the growth reduction were relatively resistant species to high ozone concentration at the early growing stage.

Measuring the Effects of the Uniform Settlement Rate Requirement in the International Telephone Industry

  • As a case study of an ex-post evaluation of regulations, in this paper I evaluate the 'uniform settlement rate requirement', a regulation that was introduced in 1986 and that was applied to the international telephone market in the U.S. for more than 20 years. In a bilateral market between the U.S. and a foreign country, each U.S. firm and its foreign partner jointly provide international telephone service in both directions, compensating each other for terminating incoming calls to their respective countries. The per-minute compensation amount for providing the termination service, referred to as the settlement rate, is determined by a bargaining process involving the two firms. In principle, each U.S. firm could have a different settlement rate for the same foreign country. In 1986, however, the Federal Communications Commission introduced the Uniform Settlement Rate Requirement (USRR), which required all U.S. firms to pay the same settlement rate to a given foreign country. The USRR significantly affected the relative bargaining positions of the U.S. and foreign firms, thereby changing negotiated settlement rates. This paper identifies two main routes through which the settlement rates are changed by the implementation of the USRR: the Competition-Induced-Incentive Effect and the Most-Favored-Nation Effect. I then empirically evaluate the USRR by estimating a bargaining model and conducting counterfactual experiments aimed at measuring the size of the two effects of the USRR. The experiments show remarkably large impacts due to the USRR. Requiring a uniform settlement rate, for instance, results in an average 32.2 percent increase in the negotiated settlement rates and an overall 13.7 percent ($3.43 billion) decrease in the total surplus in the U.S. These results provide very strong evidence against the implementation of the USRR in the 1990s and early 2000s.

숫검은밤나방(Agrotis tokionis Butler)유충의 하면에 미치는 온도와 광주기의 영향 (Effects of Photoperiod and Temperature on the Summer Diapause of the Dark Grey Cutworm, Agrotis tokionis Butler)

  • 숫검 은밤나방(Agrotis tokionis Butler) 유충 하면의 개시와 종료에 온도와 광주기가 어떠한 역할을 하는지 조사하였다. 자연조건에서 하면기간은 유충이 하면을 시작하는 시기가 늦을수록 짧아져서 조사짐단내 용화시기는 일치하는 경향을 보였다. 실험한 모든 광주기 및 온도 조건에서 유충의 발육속도에는 변화가 있었으나 하면개시에는 아무런 영향을 미치지 못하 였기 때문에 이 곤충의 하면은 내인성으로 추측되었다. 그러나 하면의 종료는 이상의 두가 지 환경조건의 변화에 영향을 받았다. 온도조건에 대한 반응에 따라 하면기간은 2시기로 나눌 수 있었는데 전기에는 평균온도가 높을수록 하면시간이 단축되었으나 후기에는 저온 일수록 짧아졌다. 또한 실험한 광주기에서는 단일조건 (LD 8 : 16)에서 하면기간이 가장 짧았다.

모유수유 실천 및 수유기간에 영향을 미치는 요인 (Factors Affecting Breastfeeding Rate and Duration)

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study is to examine the factors affecting the rate and duration of breastfeeding. Methods: We analyzed the data from the year 2000 Korea National Fertility Survey that was collected through direct interviews. In particular, the mothers who delivered their last child and the child was under 1 year of age from January 1998 to June 2000 (N=1,066) were analyzed via a logistic model to assess the factors affecting the breastfeeding rate. Among the study subjects, those who had initiated breastfeeding (N=740) were analyzed through Cox's proportional hazard model to evaluate the factors affecting the duration of breastfeeding. Results: The multivariate logistic model showed that the delivery type and the baby's birth-weight have a statistically significant influence on the breastfeeding rate. Women who delivered their babies through Cesarean section were less likely than others to breastfeed. In contrast, the women whose babies weighed 2.5Kg or more were more likely than others to breastfeed. The results obtained from the survival analysis are as follows: the higher the mother's education level, the shorter is the breastfeeding duration. The mother's work status played a significant role in the early termination of breastfeeding. Women aged 35 or older showed a longer breastfeeding duration than the younger age groups, whereas the maternal age was not a significant factor in affecting whether or not a mother would breastfeed. Conclusions: Reducing the cases of operative delivery (Cesarean section) and low weight births, enlightening young and highly educated women on breastfeeding and improving the environment for breastfeeding on the job are important strategies to encourage women to breastfeed.

PC 기반의 3차원 의료영상 재구성 시스템의 고속화 설계 (Speed Optimization Design of 3D Medical Image Reconstruction System Based on PC)

  • 3차원 의료영상 재구성 기법은 2차원 의료영상으로부터 인체의 복잡한 3차원 구조를 이해하는데 많은 도움을 준다. 본 논문에서 구현한 3차원 의료영상 재구성 시스템은 저가의 PC 기반에서 시스템의 환경에 상관없이 사용될 수 있도록 Visual C++4.2를 이용하여 작성하였으며 향후 확장성을 고려하여 각 기능을 모듈화 시켰다. 모듈 설계된 3차원 의료영상 재구성 시스템은 데이터 준비, 그래디언트 근시화, 분할, 음영처리, 좌표시스템 변환, 그리고 광선투사와 합성 모듈로 구성되었다. 본 논문에서는 3차원 의료영상 재구성 방법의 속도문제를 개선하여 저가의 PC 환경에서 구현하였다. PC 환경에서 3차원 의료영상 재구성 시스템을 구현하기 위하여 광선투사를 재구성되는 영상에 영향을 주지 않는 범위에서 조기 중단시키는 알고리듬과 영상 재구성에 참여하는 체적소를 줄이는 방법, 그리고 영상을 재구성하기 위한 광선투사 과정에서 투시되는 광선의 수를 줄이는 방법 등ㄹ을 적용하여 PC환경에서 3차원 의료영상 재구성 시스템의 고속화를 이루었으며 실험에 의해서 PC환경에서도 의료영상 재구성 알고리듬이 효과적으로 사용되었다.

요추수술 후 환자의 의과 및 한의과 의료기관 이용 행태 분석: 건강보험심사평가원 표본데이터를 이용하여 (Analysis of Medical and Korean Medical Services Utilization after Lumbar Surgery Patients: Using Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service's Patients Sample Data)

  • Objectives We are going to analyze patient's medical and Korean medicine use trends after lumbar surgery, and examine the percentage of use of Korean medicine after surgery and its relevance to the medical care outcome after lumbar surgery. Methods Using 3% patients' sample data of the Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service, two groups were compared the treatment progress of the Korean Medicine treatment group and the untreated group after lumbar surgery by hierarchical logistic regression analysis. After hierarchical logistic regression analysis(including propensity scores), two groups were compared after lumbar surgery, the Korean Medicine treatment group within 50days and untreated group within 50days. Results Lumbar surgery was performed in 2750 patients in 2015. It was 3.72 that the risk(odds ratio) of finished treatment of patients treated without Korean Medicine, compared to patients with Korean Medicine. It was 0.12 that the risk of continuing treatment(odds ratio) of patients treated with Korean Medicine within 50 days, compared to patients treatment more than 50 days. Conclusions The ratio of Korean Medicine treatment after lumbar surgery was 14.8%. The group that did not have Korean Medicine showed a higher possibility of treatment termination than the group who did not. Among the groups treated with Korean Medicine, the early treatment group was more likely to end treatment than the late treatment group. Considering various situations in the medical environment, further studies such as prospective studies and long-term data analysis are considered to be necessary.
