사용재 물성 평가를 위한 미소 시험편 크기에 따른 인장 특성 평가 (Measurement of Tensile Properties Dependent on the Small-Scaled Specimen Dimension for Evaluation of In-Service Materials Properties)

  • To evaluate the mechanical properties of in-service materials, tensile properties measurement using small-scaled specimen has been carried out. Tensile testing specimens with various dimensions, including standard and sub-size specimen specified in ASTM and ISO and small-scaled specimen, were prepared. Tensile strain in small-scaled specimen was measured using micro-ESPI system set up in this study. This system was used in the specimen with the parallel length of 2 mm and in subsequently measuring the strain under tensile loading. From each type of tensile specimen, stress-strain curves were determined. The dimension effect of the tensile properties was investigated comparing the tensile results obtained from standard specimens and small-scaled specimens. It was shown that the tensile strength for the small-scaled specimen is lower by 15% than those for the standard specimen.

  • Recently, laser interferometer is widely used as a measuring system in many fields because of its high resolution and its ability to measure a board area in real-time ail at once. In conventional laser interferometer, for examples Out of plane ESPI, In plane ESPI, Shearography and Holography, it uses PZT or other components as a phase shift instrumentation to extract 3-D deformation data, vibration mode and others. However, in most cases PZT has some disadvantages, which include noli-linear errors and limited time of use. In present study, a new type of laser interferometer using a laser diode(LD) is proposed. Using Laser Diode Sinusoidal Phase Modulating(LD-SPM) interferometer, the phase modulation can be directly modulated by controlling the LD injection current thereby eliminating the need for PZT components.

영점검출을 이용한 광섬유형 전자 스페클 패턴 간섭계의 위상이동 (Phase-Shifting System Using Zero-Crossing Detection for use in Fiber-Optic ESPI)

  • 본 논문에서는 광섬유형 전자 스페클 패턴 간섭계에 적용할 효과적인 위상이동 방법을 제안한다. 광섬유 마이켈슨 간섭계에 4$\pi$ 위상변조를 주기적으로 가하면서 각각 $\pi$의 위상차이를 갖는 4개의 영점위치를 검출하여 CCD 카메라의 이미지 취득신호를 생성한다. 이 신호에 따라 얻어지는 스페클 패턴은 위상추출 과정에 필요한 $\pi$/2 위상차이를 갖게 되며 후처리를 통하여 측정 대상체의 3차원적인 표면 위상정보를 얻게 된다. 환경적인 외란에 비하여 충분히 빠른 위상변조를 가할 경우 귀환제어 없이 빠르고 정확하게 $\pi$/2 위상 이동에 따른 CCD 동작신호를 생성할 수 있었으며, 위상변조기의 비선형적인 동작특성에 영향 받지 않는 실험결과를 얻을 수 있었다. 실험을 통하여 100 Hz의 영상 취득 속도를 얻었고, 25 Hz의 위상변조를 가할 때 출력 위상계단 신호의 오차는 0.6 mrad이었다.

  • It is very important to measure and visualize the changes in the physical properties of fluid flow because this is the foundation of measurement techniques used in aerodynamics, heat transfer, plasma diagnostics, and stress analysis of transparent models. The optical methods are advantageous over probe-based techniques in the optical methods are of high speed, non-contact and are capable of providing full-field results with high spatial resolution. Therefore we propose the electronic speckle pattern interferometry(ESPI) that gives us a solution to overcome those limitations. In this paper the experimental results show qualitative and quantitative visualization of changes in the physical properties of the candle and alcohol lamp with 3D plotting. And we obtained the refractive index, mass density and temperature distribution of fluids. The results clearly show the process of flow phenomena and give the feasibility of quantitative interpretation of gasdynamics.

단일과대하중이 피로균열성장에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Effect of a Single Overload on Fatigue Crack Retardation)

  • Ships and ocean structures are generally under random loading. Various type of variable-amplitude loading affects fatigue crack growth and fatigue life. However interaction effects due to irregularity of loading including random loading have not explained exactly and it is difficult to examined fatigue crack growth behaviour and fatigue life for this reason. Therefore in this paper crack growth tests with constant-amplitude loading including a single overload were conducted to measure plastic zone size near crack tip of DENT specimen. And the observed plastic zone sized were discussed in terms of crack growth rate. As a result of this the effect the plastic rue size due to the overload is examined on the effect on crack growth rate and, consequently, fatigue life.

  • A growing fatigue crack is known to be retarded on application of an overload cycle. The retardation may be characterized by the total number of cycles involved during retardation and the retarded crack length. The overload ratio plays an important role to influence the retardation behavior. The objective of the present investigation is to study the effect of different overload ratio on the retardation behavior. For DENT(double edge notched tension) specimens and ESET(eccentrically-loaded single edge crack tension) specimens, fatigue crack growth tests are conducted under cyclic constant-amplitude loading including a single tensile overloading with different overload ratios. The proposed crack retardation model predicts crack growth retardation due to a single tensile overloading. The predictions are put into comparison with the experimental results to confirm the reliability of this model.

  • In this paper, an in-plane deformation measuring system using a dual-beam shear interferometer was constructed to measure the in-plane deformation of the measuring object. The in-plane deformation of the object was quantitatively measured according to the load and surface treatment conditions of the object. We also verified the reliability of the proposed technique by simultaneously performing the technique with an electronic speckle pattern interferometry system (ESPI), which is another laser application measurement technology. Digital shearography directly measures the deformation gradient or strain components and has the advantages of being full-field, noncontact, highly sensitive, and robust. It offers a much higher measurement sensitivity compared with noncoherent measurement methods and is more robust and applicable to in-field tests.

  • In this paper, the effect of the crack growth length on the plastic zone size at the crack tip and the crack growth lives of the DENT specimen under constant amplitude cyclic loading were studied. The plastic zone size was calculated by nonlinear static method in commercial finite element analysis program, MSC/NASTRAN and the crack growth lives were also calculated by using compliance function considering geometric shape in MSC/FATIGUE. The calculated plastic zone size increased proportional to the crack length. And comparison of calculated plastic zone size and crack growth lives with the experimental results shows a good agreement.

  • This paper presents the performance and problems in analysis method and testing system of Electronic Speckle Pattern Interferometry (ESPI) method, in measuring two - dimensional in-plane displacement. The anyalysis result of measurement by ESPE is quite comparable to that tof measurement by strain gauge method. This implies that the method of ESPE is a very effective tool in non-contact two-dimensional in-plane strain analysis. But there is a controversal point, measurment error. This error is discussed to be affected not by ESPE method itself, but by its analysis scheme of the interference fringe, where the first-order interpolation has been applied to the points of strain measured. In this case, it is turned out that the more errors would be occurred in the large interval of fringe. And so this paper describes a computer method for drawing when the height is available only for some arbitrary collection of points. The method is based on a distance-weighted, last- squares approximation technique with the weight varying with the distance of the data points.

에너지 안보 및 기후변화 대책을 고려한 발전구성비의 도출 : 정책 목표간의 상호보완성을 중심으로 (Fuel Mix of Electricity Generating System Considering Energy Security and Climate Change Mitigations : Focusing on Complementarity between Policy Objectives)

  • 본 연구는 발전부문에서 에너지 정책의 목표인 에너지 안보와 기후변화 대책 간의 상호보완성을 고려하면서 최저 비용을 기준으로 도출된 발전 구성비를 나타내었다. 에너지 안보의 수준을 측정하기 위해 에너지 안보 가격지수를 도입하여 화석연료의 공급 집중도에서 비롯된 안보 위협을 평가하였다. CSC 방법론의 적용을 통해 원자력과 육상풍력이 석탄가스화 복합발전 및 미분탄 화력발전을 대체하는 경우가 비용효율적인 대체안으로 나타났으며, 잠재적인 탄소 감축 가능량 및 안보 개선폭을 확인하였다. 또한 이러한 대체안이 탄소 감축뿐만 아니라 에너지 안보의 개선을 달성하는 상호보완성을 확인하였다. 추가적인 에너지 안보의 개선을 위해서는 화석연료의 해외자원개발을 통한 에너지 자급률을 제고하는 것이 최선의 대안으로 나타났으며, 이를 기반으로 2020년의 특정 목표치를 달성하기 위해 최저 비용을 나타내는 발전구성비를 도출하였다.
