The purpose of this study is to investigate how the vendor suitability factor affects ERP introduction factors of domestic small and middle businesses and internal performance. When domestic firms introduce an ERP package, they mostly use the package already developed by ERP firms. Therefore, this study tried to analyze that the suitability factor of an ERP package supplier serves as a moderating role for ERP internal performance. The study result showed that the vendor suitability factor played a moderating role for ERP introduction factors and internal performance. In other words, the vendor suitability factor served a moderating role for four factors -CEO support, education/training, users' IT capability, and business standardization /formulation- and internal performance. But, it was analyzed that the vendor suitability factor didn't serve as a moderating role for IT infrastructure and internal performance.

As business needs are accelerating exponentially due to globalization and other market forces, companies regardless of its size need data which can operate flexibly and rapidly across disappearing physical and organizational borders. To meet the growing Enterprise Resource Planning [ERP] needs for small and medium sized firms, large ERP vendors have introduced new and inexpensive products to these markets. They can customize to businesses of all sizes as long as they have the need for the services and the budget to support the system. Based on the observations in this research, most ERP vendors, regardless of their size, are now focusing more on improving the implementation curve and reporting capabilities through compartmentalizing business applications along industry verticals. Also ERP systems are becoming more open thereby consultants and subject matter experts now have the opportunity to create modules based upon verticals to form a best-of-breed ERP implementation. of enterprises.

In these days ERP is essential fundamental system of most companies which want to take part in e-business. But few companies are running ERP systems successfully because ERP can not manage knowledge of running that system but only data. In this paper, we propose a model of three layed knowledge ontology and a system to manage our knowledge ontology. We interface the our system with a commercial ERP system and then install and run these systems on a manufacturing company. We show the possibilities of effective running of ERP system using a knowledge ontology and it's management system.

It is an active confrontation as to the environments for information. Unlike the large scale enterprises in those days, hower, many small & medium enterprises especially the enterprises which are engaged in the manufacturing industry-aren't participate in information's rank due to the lack of funds, manpower, insufficient management environments, and manager or staff's lack of cognition as to information. So, this paper make a base of establishment for ISP through the establishment of ERP that is used to management activity for small & medium manufacturing enterprises. A way for small & medium enterprises' ERP construction is SMERP S/W for the small & medium enterprises' ERP package which is offered by the Korea chamber of commerce & industry. And, that is applied to the real management environment.

This work investigates how domestic or foreign ERP affects the relationship between risks associated ERP implementation and intention to adopt risk-mitigating options. We propose three risks such as ERP vendor risk, economic risk, and security risk should affect positively the intention to adopt the risk-mitigating options. To validate the impact of risks and to examine the difference between domestic and foreign ERP, we collected data from IT managers in small and medium sized logistics companies in South Korea using survey questionnaires. We validate the difference between domestic ERP and foreign ERP using multiple regression analyses. We find that IT managers using domestic ERP are willing to adopt risk-mitigating options for economic and security risk. In contrast, we find that IT managers using foreign ERP are willing to adopt risk-mitigating options for ERP-vendor risk. This work may provide IT managers in logistics industry a practical guideline of choosing either domestic or foreign ERP based on their risk preferences.

This study analyzes the relative importance of the introducing factors for the critical success factors in the implementation stage of the lifecycle of ERP system using Delphi technique and Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP). In the 1st layer of the hierarchy, technical factor is evaluated as the most important factor among organizational, technical, and supplier factors. In the 2nd layer, choosing a proper ERP package is evaluated as the most important factor within 15 factors followed by process-oriented approach, technical suitability, minimized customization, integration and association of system with trading parter, association with legacy systems, and support and involvement of top management. As a result of this analysis enterprise should choose an ERP package that is suitable to its business environment, and make the best use of(take full advantage of) best practice that ERP package provides to optimize the existing business procedure or process(to approach the existing business procedure or process). This study also shows the range of customization of the features provided by the ERP package should be minimized.

최근 국내 기업들의 ERP시스템 도입 사례는 대기업에서 중소기업으로, 제조업중심에서 금융, 서비스, 유통 등의 다양한 산업분야로 그 영역을 확장하고 있다. 또한 SCM(Supply Chain management), CRM(Customer Relationship Management)과 같은 확장ERP 시스템의 도입도 활발히 진행되고 있다. 여러 가지 측면의 ERP시스템의 확장 방향 중에서 산업별 특성에 따른 ERP시스템의 개발은 해당 산업분야의 규모와 중요성의 순서에 따라 그 깊이와 범위가 다르게 이루어 졌으며, 소수 특이한 산업에 대한 솔루션은 미개발 상태인 경우가 많이 있다. ERP 소프트웨어 공급업체들은 주요 산업별로 특징적인 업무 프로세스를 지원하기위해 추가적인 프로그램을 공급하거나 개발 중에 있다. 본 연구는 국내 기업 중 다소 특수한 업무 프로세스를 가지고 있는 OEM(Original Equipment Manufacturing) 형태의 생산방식을 가진 의류 제조, 판매 업체의 ERP도입 사례를 통하여 ERP시스템 유연성의 한계에 대해 검토하여 보고 OEM산업과 의류산업이라는 산업특성에서의 ERP시스템 도입이 어떠한 문제점을 지니고 있는지 조사해 보고자 한다. 본 연구는 이를 위해 OEM산업에 대한 고찰과 의류업종의 업무적 특징을 정리하여 보고 실제 ERP 도입 사례를 통해 발견된 도입 특성 또는 도입시의 문제점과 해결 방안을 제시함으로서 향후 유사 업종의 ERP 시스템 도입 시 유용한 지침(Guideline)을 제공하고자 한다. ERP 도입사례는 SAP R/3를 채택하여 약 9개월간의 도입기간에 나타난 현상들을 기반으로 한다.

Auto-industry is very difficult to standardize item code generation rule, because it has more than 20,000 parts in this industry. As finished good companies have already used the ERP system such as SAP, they have a good Master Data Management(MDM) system. However, since many supplier companies have poor MDM system, they have a lot of barriers on system implementation like ERP, MES. PDM systems. This study surveys various benchmarking sites and investigates the standardization of item code of the auto-parts manufacturing companies. Finally, this study proposes the implementation guide (IMG) of auto-industry MDM standardization.

The purpose of this paper is to give information on e-CPC implementation in the manufacturing industry by studying and analyzing a small and medium sized manufacturing company. After analyzing Various factors on J's e-CPC implementation such as environmental factors, process management factor, and result factors, success factors on J's e-CPC implementation are analyzed. The results of this paper can be summarized as follows. First, the most leading role on J's ERP implementation is the will and support of CEO and team leaders. They led the implementation to be stability successfully by settling the different opinions among teams, showing their ability on process decision and communication with consultants. Second, J tried to prompt system stability by mapping out and conducting the long term change management strategy. Third, J organized ERP project team to implement ERP quickly, and it turned out to be successful Finally, J tried to get outside information from consultants and collaborative companies that have experience in implementing ERP. Especially J made full use of overseas consultants. In respect that this paper giver lots of information on e-CPC implementation in manufacturing industry by a case study of a small and medium sized manufacturing company which has not been carried out so far, it would be useful enough.
