  • 리튬전지의 vent cap ass'y용의 AI foil에 LDPE(low density polyethylene)만을 coating하였으나 LDPE는 vent cover인 sus와의 열접착성이 우수하지 못하기 때문에 vent 조립시 상당한 주의가 필요했다. 그러나, LDPE보다 열접착성이 우수한 EVA(ethylene vinylacetate)와 EAA(ethylene acrylic acid)의 2중 coating된 AI foil을 이용함으로 열접착성을 향상시킬 수 있었다. 이에 따라, 전해액 누액 등의 전지 불량 원인을 제거함과 동시에 vent cap ass'y의 조립시 공정 불량까지 감소시킬 수 있었다.

ANALYSIS OF THE SECURITY OF GENERIC HOMOMORPHIC AUTHENTICATED ENCRYPTION

  • Recently, a new type of encryption called Homomorphic Authenticated Encryption (HAE) has been proposed. This combines the functionality of homomorphic encryption with authentication. Several concrete HAE schemes have been developed and security results for homomorphic authenticated encryption, designed by combining a homomorphic message authentication scheme with a homomorphic secret-key encryption, have been partially reported. In this paper, we analyze the security of a design method that combines homomorphic message authentication and homomorphic encryption, with a focus on the encryption after authentication (EAA) type. The results of our analysis show that while non-forgeability and indistinguishability are maintained, strong non-forgeability is not.

  • 소변에서 2-에톡시 아세트산(EAA)의 존재는 2-에톡시 에탄올이나 2-에톡시에틸 아세테이트의 노출이 있었다는 특정 지표가 된다. 2-에톡시 아세트산은 2-에톡시 에탄올 또는 2-에톡시에틸 아세테이트에 노출되지 않은 사람의 생물학적 시료에서는 존재하지 않는다. 생물학적 노출지표(Biologial Exposure Index, BEI)는 주중 마지막 교대가 끝날 때 채취한 소변의 2-에톡시 아세트산 측정으로 권고하고 있다. 측정치는 주중 누적 노출의 지표이다. 작업환경 노출의 주요 흡수 경로인 피부 흡수는 2-에톡시 아세트산의 소변 농도를 크게 증가시킨다.

Early Growth Response of Broilers to Dietary Lysine at Fixed Ratio to Crude Protein and Essential Amino Acids

  • The effects of dietary lysine (Lys) at a fixed ratio to crude protein (CP) and essential amino acids (EAA) on early growth response of broilers were studied. Four diets were formulated to contain similar metabolizable energy (ME, 2,950 kcal/kg) but contained graded levels of incremental Lys (1.1, 1.2, 1.3 and 1.4%) while also increasing the dietary CP and EAA (methionine, methionine+ cystine, threonine and tryptophan) to maintain a constant ratio with Lys. Each diet was fed at random to 10 replicates of 6 chicks each throughout the experimental period (1-21 d). At the lowest concentration of Lys of 1.1% (19.04% CP), body weight gain (BWG) was lowest and feed conversion ratio (FCR) was poorest. The BWG increased and FCR decreased linearly as dietary Lys increased upto 1.3% (22.5% CP). Lowest feed consumption was observed in the dietary group that contained 1.1% Lys (19.04% CP) in the diet. Increasing the concentration of Lys to 1.2% (20.77% CP), significantly increased the feed consumption. The concentrations of protein, calcium, phosphorus and cholesterol in serum were not influenced by the variation in Lys contents in the diet. The humoral immune response as measured by antibody titre in response to SRBC inoculation was significantly lower in the diets containing 1.1% Lys compared to 1.4%. It is concluded that the Lys requirement of broilers is 1.3% (22.5% CP) during 0 to 21 days of age for eliciting optimum performance when a fixed ratio of Lys to CP (1:17.31) and essential AA is maintained (1:0.47 Met; 1:0.56 Thr; 1:0.17 Try).

Determination of Optimal Dietary Sulfur Amino Acids Ratio Relative to Lysine for Growing Barrows and Gilts

  • This experiment was conducted to investigate the effects of dietary SAA (sulfur-containing amino acids) on growth performance, nutrient digestibility and blood urea nitrogen (BUN) content, and to determine the optimal SAA:lysine ratio for growing barrows and gilts. A total of 150 pigs (75 barrows and 75 gilts, Landrace${\times}$Yorkshire${\times}$Duroc) were assigned to 6 treatments with 5 replicates of 5 pigs per pen. All pigs were fed diets containing either 1.12 (for barrows) or 1.33% (for gilts) dietary lysine with increasing SAA levels (50, 55 and 60% of dietary lysine) in a $2{\times}3$ factorial design. Throughout the whole experimental period (15 to 54 kg body weight), there was no interaction between sexes and SAA:lysine ratios on ADG, ADFI and FCR. However, increasing the SAA:lysine ratio from 50 to 60% in a diet showed a trend to increase ADG and ADFI of barrows. None of differences in nutrient digestibilities except for calcium and phosphorus were observed and gilts showed higher digestibility of calcium and phosphorus (p<0.05). Among dietary SAA:lysine ratios, there were no differences in apparent nutrient digestibility. Mean values of the essential amino acids (EAA), non-essential amino acids (NEAA) and total amino acids (TAA) digestibilities were higher in gilts than barrows (p<0.01). However, no differences in mean value of EAA, NEAA and TAA digestibilities were observed among dietary SAA:lysine ratios. Between sexes and among SAA:lysine ratios, no significant difference in BUN concentration was observed. This study demonstrated that the optimal inclusion ratio of SAA:lysine was 55% and below 50% in barrows and gilts, respectively.

Studies on Lipids and Proteins of Rabbit Meat -II. Emphasis on quality of rabbit meat protein- (토끼고기의 지방질과 단백질에 관한 연구 -II. 단백질을 중심으로-)

  • The present study was carried out to evaluate the nutritional quality of rabbit meat protein. The composition of amino acids contained in rabbit meat was compared with those of other animal meats such as beef, pork and chicken. Also included in this study was the question whether the cooking and storage conditions affect the amino acid composition and the pepsindigestibility of rabbit meat protein. The results are summarized as follows: 1. The large variation observed from sample to sample of EAA (essential amino acid) composition in rabbit meat was found to be an interesting but peculiar property of rabbit meat protein. The most limiting amino acid of rabbit meat protein was phenylalanine, whereas methionine was the first limiting amino acid of both beef and pork proteins. Chemical scores of various meat proteins were 68, 65, 66, and 74 for rabbit meat, beef, pork, and chicken respectively. 2. In pan roasting, the EAA damaged most by heat was methionine (15%). When cooked after two months of frozen storage, lysine decreased most. 3. Higher pepsin digestibility was obtained by cooking rabbit meat after seasoned in alcohol, ginger juice, and other spices compared with various other cooking conditions without seasoning. The pepsin digestibility value was even higher for the seasoned meat than for the raw meat. 4. Among various meats tested the rabbit meat showed the lowest pepsin digestibility. 5. A simple measurement of released methionine could be used to determine relative digestibility instead of measuring $NH_2-N$ content after pepsin digestion. From all the results obtained in this study it can be concluded that rabbit meat is a good Protein food item when used fresh and stored properly to prevent rancidity problems. It is suggested to study further the peroxidation effect of unsaturated fatty acids on protein quality. This study was supported by the Ministry of Science and Technology in Korea.

  • In our continuing effort to investigate compounds having anti-inflammatory activity from natural products, Ailanthus altissima was examined. Among six compounds isolated from Ailanthus altissima, Luteolin-7-O-glucoside (L7G) along with ethanol extract of Ailnathus altissima (EAa) were chosen to determine their inhibitory activity on secretory recombinant phospholipase $A_2s$ enzyme activity in vitro. As a results, EAa inhibited human recombinant $sPLA_2-V$ ($IC_{50}$ of about 100 ${\mu}g/ml$) and $cPLA_2$, ($IC_{50}$ of about 59 ${\mu}g/ml$), while L7G showed strong inhibitory effect on $sPLA_2-A$, V and $cPLA_2$ with an $IC_{50}$ value of approximately 40 ${\mu}M$, respectively.

Characterization of Edible Pork By-products by Means of Yield and Nutritional Composition

  • Basic information regarding the yield and nutritional composition of edible pork by-products, namely heart, liver, lung, stomach, spleen, uterus, pancreas, and small and large intestines, was studied. Our results revealed that the yields varied widely among the pork by-products examined; in particular, liver had the highest yield (1.35%); whereas, spleen had the lowest yield (0.16%). The approximate composition range (minimum to maximum) of these by-products was found to be: moisture 71.59-82.48%; fat 0.28-19.54%; ash 0.155-1.34%, and protein 8.45-22.05%. The highest protein, vitamin A, B2, B6, and total essential amino acid (EAA) contents were found in liver. Large intestine had the highest fat content and lowest EAA content. Heart had the highest vitamin B1 content, whereas pancreas had the highest niacin and vitamin B3 contents. The concentrations of Fe and Zn were highest in liver and pancreas. Total saturated fatty acids (SFA) levels and polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA) levels between the by-products ranged from 43.15-50.48%, and 14.92-30.16%, respectively. Furthermore, with the exception of large intestine, all the by-products showed favorable PUFA/SFA ratios. The study indicated that almost all of the pork by-products examined were good sources of important nutrients, and that these data will be of great importance in the promotion of the consumption of edible pork by-products, as well as their utilization in meat processing.

Physical Properties and Preparation of HDPE Filled with Microencapsulated Glass Beads (마이크로 캡슐화된 Glass bead 충전 HDPE 복합재의 제조와 물리적 성질)

  • To improve the adhesion of interface and dispersion of glass beads in the composite, HDPE filled with glass brads, we encapsulated the g1ass beads with polymer by phase separation method using complex coacervation in organic solvent. EMAA and EAA were used as the polymeric wall materials. The microencapsulation efficiency and morphology were observed by thermogravimetric analysis and SEM, respectively. And also we investigated the physical and dynamic mechanical properties of the composite as the function of the beads contents and microencapsulation efficiency. Compared with the composite containing non-treated glass beads, the decrease in tensile strengthe of the composites containing the encapsulated glass beads become markedly small, and about 30~40% Increase in tensile modulus was observed. From the results of the dynamic mechanical analysis, it was found that the adhesion of interface and dispersion could be improved upon encapsulation.
