Switched Reluctance Motors for Electric Drive of Overland Belt Conveyor

  • The parameters and operating characteristics of the switched reluctance motor (SRM) for the electric drive of the overland belt conveyor CLM-4500 have been presented. The motor power capacity has been equal to 1250 kW, the motor speed - 1000 min-1. SRM power supply has been provided by a three-phase voltage inverter and a 12-pulse rectifier circuit. The group electric drive has been installed on sections number 2 and 3, 3770 m and 3375 m length, respectively, on the areas of "Berezovsky Strip" JSC, a member of the Siberian Coal Energy Company.

High speed performance of Pb(Zr,Ti)O$_3$ capacitors through lattice engineering (격자 조정을 통한 PZT커패시터의 고속동작 성능)

  • High speed performance of ferroelectric Pb(Zr,Ti)$O_3$ (PZT) based capacitors is reported. La substitution up to 10% was performed to systematically lower the coercive and saturation voltages of epitaxial ferroelectric capacitors grown on Si using a ($Ti_{0.9}$ /$Al_{0.1}$ )N/Pt conducting barrier composite. Ferroelectric capacitors substituted with 10% La show significantly lower coercive voltage compared to capacitors with 0% and 3% La. This is attributed to a systematic decrease in the tetragonality (i.e., c/a ratio) of the ferroelectric phase. Furthermore, the samples doped with 10% La showed dramatically better retention and pulse width dependent polarization compared to the capacitors with 0% and 3% La. These capacitors show promise as storage elements in low power high density memory architectures.

  • In this paper, the equations calculating GDOP are induced in Hyperboic, and Spherical Navigation System, respectively, The GDOP diagram shows that the DGOP in the inner region of Beacons is similar each other, but the GDOP of Hyperboic Navigation System is much larger than that of Spherical Navigation System due to GDOP in the outer region of Beacons. The authors propose the algorithm estimating the pulse starting time using the Hyperboic Navigation System, and prove that if Navigation use the Spherical Navigation System by adopting the proposed Algorithm -in this case, "Pseudo Sperical Navigation System" - in the outer region where GDOP is becoming large, the position errors can be reduced.e reduced.

Human Sensitivity Responses to Vibrotactile Stimulation on the Hand : Measurement of Differential Thresholds (진동식 촉각 자극에 대한 손의 상대적 민감도 반응)

  • This study investigated human operator's perceptual and psychophysical responses to vibrotactile stimulation on various parts of the hand. Using a small vibrotactile display, the effects of three mechanical parameters consisting vibrotactile stimulations, i.e., vibration frequency, pulse-width modulation duty cycle, and number of contactors, on differential thresholds were examined at five different loci of the hand. It was observed that differential threshold varies with vibration frequency and number of active contactors. Differential sensitivity was the greatest at the vibration frequency of 120 Hz. The differential sensitivity was not found to be affected by loci on the hand. The area of stimulation on the hand was also found to be significant in that the sensitivity increased with the number of active contactors. It should be noted that the conclusions from this study generally correspond to those from the previous study on the absolute sensitivity. which means that tactile sensitivity to vibrotactile stimulations can be controlled with a systematic and consistent passion for emulating normal everyday contact on human hands in teleoperation and virtual reality applications.

Ultrasonic Velocity and Absorption Measurements in Egg White

  • Ultrasonic measurements are made in egg white to study the properties of the solution of the natural protein. The high-Q ultrasonic resonator method is used to get the ultrasonic absorption spectra over the range 0.2-10 ㎒ at 20℃. It is proportional to the 1.25th power of the frequency. The gelation process caused by heat is studied from the change in the velocity and the absorption. at 3 ㎒ using the pulse echo overlap technique over the range of 10-80℃. The absorption decreases with increasing temperature up to 60℃ where it turns up sharply and rapidly increases thereafter. The strong absorption in the gel region is described by the interaction between the solution and the network structure made of protein. Very slow variation in time elapse is observed after the temperature is quickly raised. It would be a real-time observation of the network building process and the characteristic time for the process is shown to be 400 min. A hysteresis phenomenon with respect to the temperature is observed. This phenomenon is associated with the memorizing effect of the network structure of protein of the gel.

  • After making the light modulator using the BLN-PZT 9.0/65/35 specimen which has the slim-loop hysteresis characteristics and quadratic electro-optic characteristics, switching and spectral response characteristics were investigated. As the results of switching characteristics of the light modulator, it was found that the transmitted light intensity was modulated by both AC and pulse voltage. From the possibility of the selective transmission of the RGB(Red, Green, Blue) spectrum with electric field, the application for the light modulator, light shutter and color filter was expected.

  • Nd:YAG laser of 355nm wavelength, which amounts to 3.5eV, produced by a harmonic generator was used to create Ag metallic particles as seeds for nucleation in photosensitive glass containing Ag+ and Ce3+. The pulse widths and frequency of the laser were 8ns and 10Hz, respectively. For crystalline growth, heat-treatment following laser irradiation was carried out at $570^{\circ}C$ fur 1h. Then, the LiAlSi3O8. crystal phase appeared in the laser irradiated lithium aluminum silicate glass. We present the effect of laser-induced nucleation compared with spontaneous nucleation by heat treatment for crystallization in the glass.

  • Widely tunable diodes integrated with periodically sampled and chirped DBR(distributed Bragg reflector) and an EA(electroabsorption) modulator are analyzed dynamically using the improved largesinal time-domain model. The tuning characteristics of sampled- and chirped-grating DBR laser diodes are demonstrated theoretically. The results of the simulation agree well with those of the experiment. And the intensity-modulation properties of the laser diodes integrated with an EA modulator are calculated. It is shown that the external modulation has the lower frequency chirp by 1/20 for the same extinction ratio than the direct modulation, and also the short pulse train can be generated using the optical gating of an EA modulator.

  • PEMOCVD에 의해서 SrBi$_{2}$Ta$_{2}$O$_{9}$밥막이 낮은 온도에서 성공적으로 Pt/Ti/SiO$_{2}$Si위에 증착되었다. 5$50^{\circ}C$에서 증착된 200nm박막은 치밀하고 작은 결정립을 보였으며 3V의 인가전압하에서 이력곡선은 포화되기 시작하였다. 3V에서 박막은 잔류분극 (P$_{r}$)과 항전계(E$_{c}$)는 각각 15$\mu$/$\textrm{cm}^2$과 50kV/cm이었다. 6V bipolar square pulse의 피로측정에서 박막은 1.0x$10^{11}$cycles까지 피로 현상을 보이지 않았다. PEMOCVD에 의해서 5$50^{\circ}C$에서 증착된 SBT박막은 비휘발성 기억소자에 충분히 활용할 수 있다.다.

It is developed for various-type gait $data^{[1]}$ and for control modes (i.e open/closed loop and pulse/velocity/torque control) that Integrated Control Enviroment with GUI( Graphic User Interface) consist of time-buffered control part using MMC (Multi-Motion Controller) and 3D simulation part using DirectX graphic library.
