Discourse analysis is useful for examining discourse characteristics of dementia patients and differentiating them from normal adults. However, inconsistent tasks, transcription methods and measures have been utilized, thus analyses were inevitably unsystematic. The purpose of this study was to investigate tasks, transcription methods and measures of discourse studies in dementia. Studies on dementia discourses written in English were collected via Scopus database containing abstracts and citations from 2005 to 2014, and were analyzed in detail. From the results, the most frequently used task was 'storytelling-topic'. It was observed that use of consistent transcription conventions rendered more reliable transcription data. Measures could be categorized into coherence, cohesion, productivity, propositional syntactic lexical analysis, and fluency, and each category belonged to discourse processing levels (i.e., processing of conceptual networks, propositions, and natural language units). In conclusion, future research warrants not only utilization of discourse tasks depending on dementia types and features, but also application of consistent transcription conventions. Additionally, measures based on the discourse processing theory would enable us to systematically interpret discourse studies.
Sodium retention is a hallmark of nephrotic syndrome. We investigated whether sodium retention is associated with changes of natriuretic peptide system at different stages (i.e., a sodium retaining stage and a compensatory stage) of nephrotic syndrome. At day 7 after PAN(puromycin aminonucleoside) injection, the urinary excretion of sodium was decreased, along with the development of ascites and positive sodium balance. The plasma and urinary ANP(atrial natriuretic peptide) immunoreactivities were increased. ANP mRNA expression was increased in the heart and kidney, whereas that of NPR(natriuretic peptide receptor)-A and NPR-C mRNA was decreased in the kidney. The expression of NEP was decreased in the kidney. At day 14, urinary excretion of sodium did not differ from the control. The plasma ANP level and heart ANP mRNA expression returned to their control values. The expression of ANP mRNA in the kidney was increased in association with increased urinary ANP immunoreactivities. The expression of NPR-A in the kidney became normal, whereas that of NPR-C kept decreased. The expression of NEP(neutral endopeptidase) remained decreased. These findings suggest that the increased renal ANP synthesis in association with decreased metabolism via NEP and NPR-C may play a compensatory role against the development of sodium retention in nephrotic syndrome. The decreased of NPR-A expression in the kidney may contribute to the ANP resistance at day 7. The subsequent recovery of NPR-A expression may play a role in promoting sodium excretion in later stage(at day 14).

Fe-base amorphous films exhibit large saturation magnetostriction and soft magnetic Properties, which make them suitable for strain sensor applications. Most important material properties for the performance of these elements are the superior soft magnetic properties, such as high permeability and small coercive force, as well as magnetoelastic properties. It is well known that the strain generated in film deposition and/or post-heat treatment processes is one of important material properties, which effects on the soft magnetic properties of the film via magnetoelastic coupling. In this study, the effect of an isotropic strain in plane of magnetic films have been performed experimently. Amorphous films with the composition of (F $e_{90}$$Co_{10}$)$_{78}$S $i_{l2}$$B_{10}$ were employed in this study. The film with 5${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ thick was deposed onto the polyimide substrate with 50${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ thick by virtue of RF sputtering. The film was subject to post annealing with a static magnetic field with 500Oe magnetic field intensity at 35$0^{\circ}C$ for 1 hour. The polyimide substrate with the film was bonded with an adhesive on PZT piezoelectric substrate with 600${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ thick in applying voltage of 500V. The change in MH loops of films due to the isotropic strain was measured by using VSM. The coercive force was evaluated from MH loops. It has shown in the results that M-H loops of films are subject to change considerably with a dc voltage, resulting of the magnetization rotation from normal to plane direction as the applied voltage is changed from 500V to 250V.50V.V.

Reduced pressure chemical vapor deposition technology has been used to study SiGe heterostructure epitaxy and device issues, including SiGe relaxed buffers, proper control of Ge component and crystalline defects, two dimensional delta doping, and their influence on electrical properties of devices. From experiments, 2D profiles of B and P presented FWHM of 5 nm and 20 nm, respectively, and doses in 5×10/sup 11/ ∼ 3×10/sup 14/ ㎝/sup -2/ range. The results could be employed to fabricate SiGe/Si heterostructure field effect transistors with both Schottky contact and MOS structure for gate electrodes. I-V characteristics of 2D P-doped HFETs revealed normal behavior except the detrimental effect of crystalline defects created at SiGe/Si interfaces due to stress relaxation. On the contrary, sharp B-doping technology resulted in significant improvement in DC performance by 20-30 % in transconductance and short channel effect of SiGe HMOS. High peak concentration and mobility in 2D-doped SiGe heterostructures accompanied by remarkable improvements of electrical property illustrate feasible use for nano-sale FETs and integrated circuits for radio frequency wireless communication in particular.

A new serum-free defined medium was developed that supports the growth of normal rat mammary epithelial cells. Mammary organoids from the glands of female F344 rats were cultured in a serum-free medium. Monolayer culture colonies developed within a week and remained viable for months in culture. Upon subculture of one-week-old primary colonies, almost the same morphology of colonies was developed. The scrape loading/dye transfer technique showed that most of colonies that developed in a serum-free medium containing EGF, human transferrin, insulin, and hydrocortisone (basal serum-free medium, BSFM) failed to show cell-cell communication. However, colonies cultured in BSFM supplemented with prolactin, $E_2$, and progesterone (complete hormone serum-free medium, CHSFM) showed cell-cell communication at 14 days of primary culture or of subculture. By flow cytometry with FITCPNA and PE-anti-Thy-1.1 monoclonal antibody, we distinguished four RMEC subpopulations in cultures in both media: Thy-1.1+ cells, PNA+ cells, cells negative to both reagents and cells positive to both reagents. It is likely that combined prolactin, cortisol, and insulin in CHSFM stimulate terminal differentiation of clonogenic cells.
Since it is of great importance to know how a ligand binds to a receptor, there have been a lot of efforts to improve the quality of prediction of docking poses. Earlier efforts were focused on improving search algorithm and scoring function in a docking program resulting in a partial improvement with a lot of variations. Although these are basically very important and essential, more tangible improvements came from the reduction of search space. In a normal docking study, the approximate active site is assumed to be known. After defining active site, scoring functions and search algorithms are used to locate the expected binding pose within this search space. A good search algorithm will sample wisely toward the correct binding pose. By careful study of receptor structure, it was possible to prioritize sub-space in the active site using "receptor-based pharmacophores" or "hot spots". In a sense, these techniques reduce the search space from the beginning. Further improvements were made when the bound ligand structure is available, i.e., the searching could be directed by molecular similarity using ligand information. This could be very helpful to increase the accuracy of binding pose. In addition, if the biological activity data is available, docking program could be improved to the level of being useful in affinity prediction for a series of congeneric ligands. Since the number of co-crystal structures is increasing in protein databank, "Ligand-Guided Docking" to reduce the search space would be more important to improve the accuracy of docking pose prediction and the efficiency of virtual screening. Further improvements in this area would be useful to produce more reliable docking programs.
The insulating oil used for X-ray tube housing were degraded by X-ray irrdiation, high temperature and high anode voltage for normal operation. This study was measured the conduction current-X-ray dose, heating degradation, time, temperature and electric field characteristics and the dependense of electrode materials and gap length in the X-ray irradiatied insulating oil under of D.C voltage. The obtained results can be summarized as following. 1. The conduction current of X-ray irradiated insulating oil is more about $2.5{\sim}3$ times as large as than that of non x-ray irradiated, and is become saturation phenomena after some degree. 2. The conduction current of many times heating x-ray irradiated insulating oil is more than that of a few times heating. 3. The higher temperature x-ray irradiated insulating oil is increased, the more conduction current, and that is increased about ten times as large as when it's temperatures is increased to $80^{\circ}C\;at\;30^{\circ}C$, twenty five times at $100^{\circ}C$. 4. The dependence of electrode materials is appeared at the low electric field, and the small gap length with Fe > Cu > Al. 5. The low electric field than 3000 v/cm is appeared Ohm's law region, and the high is become saturation region at the I-E characteristics. 6. The larger gap length is become, the more conduction current is increased at the same electric field.
The present study was undertaken to evaluate rosette formation and NK activity of splenic lymphocytes in 3-methylcholanthrene (MCA) treated mice. Mice were sensitized iv with 0.1ml of 1% sheep red blood cell (SRBC) suspension were treated with a single ip injection of olive oil alone or with different doses of MCA in oil at various time before or after sensitization, and were challenged at 4 days after SRBC. Rosette formation and NK activity of splenic lymphocytes were measured at 24 hours after challenge. Erythrocyte(E) rosette formation of splenic lymphocytes was significantly depressed in mouse treated with large dose of MCA (5~50mg) regardless of injecting time. But, there was no difference in the response between the treated with small dose of MCA (0.5mg). Whereas erythrocyte-antibody(EA) rosette or erythrocyte-antibody-complement(EAC) rosette forming cells were significantly depressed by MCA. Under small dose of MCA (0.5mg), any difference of NK activity was not observed in all course of injecting time. But, under large dose of MCA, the activity was markedly inhibited to about half the values seen in control and this suppression was transient, resulting that the normal level was reached again 19 days after MCA. These results, which conform with the predictions of immunosuppression hypothesis, suggest that MCA inhibits immunological responses including NK activity and thereby allows the outgrowth of antigenic neoplastic cells.
This study estimated the size of ornamental fish market as the basis survey for the development of the ornamental fish industry in Korea. It presents improvement projects agendas for the development of the Korean ornamental fish industry by investigating the challenges of the ornamental fish industry and consumer awareness. First, looking at the size of the ornamental fish market, calculated on the basis of survey results, the size of ornamental fish market is analysed as 231.8 billion won. The actual ornamental fish market is presumed to be much larger than this considering unclear gross sales from e-commerce and group sales, goods excluded from the ornamental fish export, expensive ornamental fish transaction from smuggling are missing. Ornamental fish industry and consumer awareness survey results can be described as follows: First, revenue structure of the ornamental fish market depends on a handful of expensive purchasing group rather than on low-cost consumption group. Second, many members of the ornamental fish producers, wholesalers, road shops are small-scale. Third, the sale of aquarium fish and aquarium fish related supplies in road shop have different market structures. Fourth, ornamental fish consumption is in the ongoing recession. Fifth, ornamental fish industry hopes for expansion of distribution and Research & Development. Sixth, satisfaction of ornamental fish consumers is generally low. As described above, ornamental fish industry in Korea are vulnerable in the market structure and industry is small and the consumer's satisfaction degree is staying in the 'normal' level. If current state will continue, future consumption can be reduced. It is necessary to increase the competitiveness by using various method including reorganization of the structure of the ornamental fish industry even though it is hard to reach conclusion only with the results of the survey.
