Cytokines play a crucial role in the immune and inflammatory responses. But because of the high evolutionary rate of these proteins, the similarity between different members of their family is very low, which makes the identification of novel members of cytokines very difficult. According to this point, a new bioinformatic strategy to identify novel cytokine of the short-chain and long-chain 4${\alpha}$ helix cytokine using hidden markov model (HMM) is proposed in the paper. As a result, two motifs were created on the two train data sets, which were used to search three different databases. In order to improve the result, a strict criterion is established to filter the novel cytokines in the subject proteins. Finally, according to their E-value, scores and the criterion, four subject proteins are predicted to be possible novel cytokines for each family respectively.

Ethanol extracts of the whole herb of Agastachis Herba (A) and of Pueraria Radix (P) alone and of their mixture (A+P) downregulated the cell growth, cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) expression, prostaglandin $E_2\;(PGE_2)$, and cGMP production. A, P, and A + P inhibited the cell growth of HT-29 colon cancer cells in a concentration- and time-dependent manner but not the growth of normal colon cell, CCD-112CoN. In addition, they markedly inhibited the productions of $PGE_2$ and cGMP as well as the mRNA expression of COX-2. These data suggest that non-toxic concentration of A, P, and A + P have a significant effect on the in vitro growth of HT-29 cells, specifically through the inhibition of the $PGE_2$ production via COX-2.

In an effort to screen new selective antitumor agents from the broth of soil microorganism, cytotoxicity oriented screening was performed against tumor cells and 3 compounds (Compound 1, 2 and 3) were isolated from Sreptomyces parvullus ISP 5048 and their chemical structures were determined. Among these compounds, Compound 2 showed the highest cytotoxicity against P388Dl and L1210. While the $IC_{50}$/ values of compound 2 against P388Dl and L1210 were 0.073$\mu$g/ml and 0.07$\mu$g/ml, respectively, and the $IC_{50}$/ value of Compound 3 was 0.17$\mu$g/ml against human lung cancer cells, A549, the cytotoxicity of Compound 2 and 3 against normal cell line, Vero E6 cell was about 4- and 8-fold lower than that of adriamycin. Based on the chemical analysis data, Compound 3 was octacosamicine A, a known antibiotic, which was reported by Dobasih et al. (1988). Taken together the results demonstrated that Compound 2 and Compound 3 has the possibility to be developed as antitumor agent because of its potent cytotoxicity as well as high selectivity against various cancer cell lines.

This paper suggests gait analysis and gait simulation method using Gait Motion Capture equipment and plantar pressure measurement system. The gait of normal person and how it will be effected by added weight with wearing military equipments are studied by suggested method. It is measured that a change of gait pattern when wears military equipments with Korean male adult(height 180 cm, weight 70 kg) and simulated its results.

A subgroup or workers from a secondary lead smelter was defined to include those with blood lead levels not exceeding $80{\mu}g/100\;ml$ and with no pest history of elevated blood lead. Central nervous system symptoms (tiredness, sleeplessness, irritability, headache) were reported by 55% of the group and muscle and joint pain by 39%. Zinc proteporphyrin (ZPP) levels were elevated in 71% or cases. Low hemoglobin levels (less than 14 gm/l00 ml) were round in more than a third of the workers. While BUN and creatinine were mostly in the normal range, there - nevertheless n correlation between ZPP and both BUN and creatinine. Reduced nerve-conduction velocities were present in 25% or the group; this was not significantly different from findings in Ii control group. The data indicate that n blood level of $80{\mu}g/100\;ml$ is an inappropriate biological guide in the prevention or lead disease.

Androgen-independent prostate cancer accounts for mortality in the world. In this study, various extracts of a medical fungus dubbed Ganoderma formosanum were screened for inhibition of DU145 cells, an androgen-independent prostate cancer cell line. Results demonstrated that both hexane (GF-EH) and butanol (GF-EB) fraction of G. formosanum ethanol extract inhibited DU145 cell viability in a dose-dependent manner. GF-EH induced cell-cycle arrest in G1 phase of DU145 cells via downregulation of cyclin E2 protein expression. In addition, GF-EB triggered extrinsic apoptosis of DU145 cells by activating caspase 3 gene expression resulting in programed cell death. Above all, both GF-EH and GF-EB show lower toxicity to normal human fibroblast cell line compared to DU145 cell, implying that they possess specific drug action on cancer cells. This study provides a molecular basis of G. formosanum extract as a potential ingredient for treatment of androgen-independent prostate cancer.

The case of a patient with abnormal position of the atrial septum resulting in a left atrium with two atrioventricular valves and a disconnected right atrium is presented with review of related articles. Anatomic details showed atrial situs solitus and a left sided cardiac apex. The right atrium received both venae cavae and a coronary sinus. No AV valve was found in the right atrium, and the floor of this chamber was placed above the posterior wall of right ventricular chamber. The atrial septum with secundum ASD was displaced to right anteriorly at its lower portion and inserted to right of tricuspid annulus. The tricuspid and mitral valve configuration was that of so-called partial ECD, i.e. mitral cleft with large anterior mitral leaflets. The ventricular septum was intact and both ventricular chambers were equally well developed with normal relationships. Surgical repair of this anomaly was performed by resecting the abnormally positioned lower part of the atrial septum, repairing the cleft of the anterior mitral leaflet, and septating the atrium for diverting the systemic and pulmonary venous blood to RV and LV, respectively.

This paper addresses a numerical simulation of the flow and heat transfer in a simplified model of helically coiled tube steam generator using a general purpose computational fluid dynamic analysis computer code. The steam generator model is comprised of a cylindrical shell and helically coiled tubes. A cold feed water entered the tubes is heated up, evaporates. and finally become a superheated steam with a large amount of heat transferred continuously from the hot compressed water at higher pressure flowing counter-currently through the shell side. For the calculation of tube side two-phase flow field formed by boiling, inhomogeneous two-fluid model is used. Both the internal and external turbulent flows are simulated using the standard k-e model. The conjugate heat transfer analysis method is employed to calculate the conduction in the tube wall with finite thickness and the convections in the internal and external fluids simultaneously so as to match the fluid-wall-fluid interface conditions properly. The numerical calculations are peformed for helically coiled tubes of steam generator at an integral type pressurized water reactor under normal operation. The effects of tube-side inlet flow velocity are discussed in details. The results of present numerical simulation are considered to be physically plausible based on the data and knowledge from previous experimental and numerical studies where available.

This study was performed to elucidate the mechanism of dietary protein level on renal function through lipid and eicosanoids metabolism. Male rats of 337.8$\pm$5.7g body weight were undergone unilateral nephrectomy or sham-operation. The rats were divided into high protein(40% casein), normal protein(15% casein) and low protein(8% casein) diet groups and fed experimental diets ad libitum for 24 weeks. The results are summarized as follows. Serum total lipid, cholesterol and HDL-cholesterol of rats in 15% and 40% casein groups were higher than those of 8% casein group. But serum triglyceride was affected neither by uninephrectomy nor by dietary protein level. Serum thromboxane(TX) B2 and 6-keto prostaglandin F1$\alpha$ increased with increasing dietary protein level. Serum prostaglandin(PG) E2 was not affected by uninephrectomy nor by dietary protein level. Urinary PGE2 and TXB2 excretion tended to be lower in uninephrectomized groups. Renal tissue concentration of TXB2 was lower in uninephrectomized groups and in high protein group. These results suggest the possibility that the effects of dietary protein level on renal function could be due to changes in lipid and eicosanoids metabolism.

With the rapid development of IT technologies, many people talk to each other in real time on-line using messenger or use the messenger to share files for work. However, using this convenience, phishing crimes occur: e.g. demanding money, and if a criminal uses a bypassing technique like proxy in order to hide the IP address the criminal has used to log on, it is in fact, difficult to find the criminal's real IP address. This paper will propose a plan to measure against messenger phishing that may occur in advance by collecting the IP address with which a user has used in a dual channel mode and the real IP address obtained by ARIT Agent using ARIT technique, going through a separate identification process and deciding whether the user has accessed in a normal method.
