Robust tracking of infrared (IR) pedestrian targets with various backgrounds, e.g. appearance changes, illumination variations, and background disturbances, is a great challenge in the infrared image processing field. In the paper, we address a new tracking method for IR pedestrian targets via multi-feature local sparse representation (SR), which consists of three important modules. In the first module, a multi-feature local SR model is constructed. Considering the characterization of infrared pedestrian targets, the gray and edge features are first extracted from all target templates, and then fused into the model learning process. In the second module, an effective tracker is proposed via the learned model. To improve the computational efficiency, a sliding window mechanism with multiple scales is first used to scan the current frame to sample the target candidates. Then, the candidates are recognized via sparse reconstruction residual analysis. In the third module, an adaptive dictionary update approach is designed to further improve the tracking performance. The results demonstrate that our method outperforms several classical methods for infrared pedestrian tracking.

Let R be a commutative ring with identity 1, n ≥ 3, and let 𝒯_n(R) be the linear Lie algebra of all upper triangular n × n matrices over R. A linear map 𝜑 on 𝒯_n(R) is called to be strong commutativity preserving if [𝜑(x), 𝜑(y)] = [x, y] for any x, y ∈ 𝒯_n(R). We show that an invertible linear map 𝜑 preserves strong commutativity on 𝒯_n(R) if and only if it is a composition of an idempotent scalar multiplication, an extremal inner automorphism and a linear map induced by a linear function on 𝒯_n(R).

The present paper is concerned with the investigation of disturbances in orthotropic thermoelastic medium by using fractional order heat conduction equation with three phase lags due to thermomechanical sources. Laplace and Fourier transform techniques are used to solve the problem. The expressions for displacement components, stress components and temperature change are derived in transformed domain and further in physical domain using numerical inversion techniques. The effect of fractional parameter based on its conductivity i.e., ($0<{\alpha}<1$ for weak, ${\alpha}=1$ for normal, $1<{\alpha}{\leq}2$ for strong conductivity) is depicted graphically on various components.

The multi-layered thin film with an ITO/Ag/ITO structure was produced on PET by using magnetron reactive sputtering method. First, 30 nm of ITO thin film was coated on PET by using normal temperature process. Then 20-52 nm of the Ag thin film was coated. Lastly, 30 nm of ITO thin film was coated on Ag layer. The sample of the 20 nm Ag thin film showed more than 70% transmission and a $2.7{\Omega}/{\Box}$ sheet resistance. When compared to the existing single-layered transparent conducting thin film, multi-layered film was found to be superior with about $5{\Omega}/{\Box}$ less sheet resistance. However, since the Ag layer became thinner, the band gap energy needs to be increased to more than 3.5 eV.

High-dose extracts from artichoke leaves are traditionally used for treatment of stress related disorder, that is, hepatic disease, dyspeptic disorder, hyperlipidemic disorder and diuretic disorder. The aim of this study was to investigate anti-stress effects of Artichoke extract(Archoke juice produced from Choa company). The experiments were performed with the use of young(6-8 weeks of age) male mice of ICR stain weighing between 20 and 25 g at the time of first treatment with Archoke juice. The were grouped normal, control, Ginseng, diazepam and Arcoke juice group. (omitted)

We applied serological analysis of cDNA expression library technique to identify cancer-associated genes. We screened cDNA expression libraries of human testis and gastric cancer cell lines with sera of patients with gastric cancers. We identified a gene whose expression is testis-specific among normal tissues. We cloned and characterized this novel gene. It contains D-E-A-D box domain and encodes a putative protein of 630 amino acids with possible helicase activity. It showed wide expression in various cancer tissues and cancer cell lines. (omitted)

The research on waste power batteries in China in the past ten years reveals that the power battery recycling industry is enormous but marred with several challenges. A study of China's current power battery closed-loop supply chain revealed some issues in the power battery recycling industry, such as imperfect supply chain, small recycling scale, asymmetric information, and imperfect profit distribution mechanism. This paper uses the theory of corporate social responsibility and consumer choice to propose a closed-loop network of power batteries based on block chain technology and analyzes the existing closed-loop supply chain of power batteries. Consequently, this study provides a new idea for developing the power battery closed-loop supply chain by proposing the closed-loop network of power batteries based on blockchain technology.

Intensity of solar radiation on a horizontal surface at 12 areas in South Korea was indicated in the last report, Vol. 5, No.3 Journal of the S. A. R. E. K. In this report, area of South Korea was devided into 4 zones in latitude, and calculated intensity of total mean solar radiation on horizontal surface, normal surface to sun rays, and vertical surface of south, north, west and east. In order to explain the operating characteristics of LTMFP in a wide range of driving frequency, an analytical equation that takes into account the detailed behavior of the normal spot is necessary. In this paper, based on the phenomenon of magnetic diffusion of the superconductor we modified the theoretical equations for pumping action in LTMFP. The modified equations explained well the pumping actions under the different load magnets. These results are important to explain the pumping tendency of the LTMFP according to driving frequency.

In this paper, we consider the rational approximation of multiple input delay systems. The method of computing Hankel singular values and vectors is firstly introduced, where explicitly shows the structure of the corresponding Hankel singular vectors. Secondly, rational approximants are obtained from output nor- mal relizations, which are constructed by Hankel singular values and vectors. As a result, it is shown that rational approximants by output normal realization preserve intrinsic properties of time delay systems than Pad'e approximants.
