Modern day people can easily use an e-mail client for general communication, because of using Internet and cellular phone. The mail client for the purpose of private and business affair, advertisement, news searching, and business letter is widely used and has side effects. People could send an important document via an electronic mail client. It is important to support an e-mail client intelligent. We think that many kinds of techniques of natural language processing must be provided in the client with human's emotion. We consider to design a new mail client with six kinds of senders' emotional information; delight, angry, sad feeling and message to express, manner of talking, a discomfort index etc. Before sending an e-mail, we suggest a user to correct a bad word because we do not want to feel bad to a receiver. We present a proper process of sending/receiving for users with a new designed e-mail clients.

Due to the need for multilingual e-mail address, EAI Working Group of the IETF has created a wide range of standards associated with e-mail address internationalization(EAI) since 2006. One of the authors and colleagues designed and implemented the mail server, SMTPUTF8, that supports EAI RFC protocols. SMTPUTF8 mail server is composed of new SMTP and POP3 servers supporting EAI RFC protocols. However, SMTPUTF8 did not include a new IMAP server supporting EAI RFC protocol. Recently many people are using smart phones to read and send e-mail messages in a mobile environment. IMAP server is more useful than POP3 server in a mobile environment. Therefore, in this paper, the authors have designed and implemented IMAP server and client app that complies with the IMAP standard (RFC) published by EAI WG of IETF to support multilingual e-mail address. This IMAP server is added to the SMTPUTF8 mail server so that users can access e-mail messages via IMAP client app in a mobile environment.

In existing internet, e-mail protocols including POP3 and IMAP4, provide e-mail services fir exchanging messages with texts, hypertext and images as well. For the e-mail services in wireless mobile network, mobile e-mail service providers have to install a mobile exclusive e-mail server or have to convert e-mail to mobile exclusive e-mail with wireless application format in case of POP3 protocol. In the e-mail service of IMAP4 case known as web-mail, it is difficult to view e-mail directly from server without IMAP4 mobile client because e-mail is stored in mail server side with remote file server. In either case, it also has the problems of viewing the e-mail of hypertext and image information at mobile. This paper provides e-mail extraction engine with image and hypertext conversion facilities that can be applied in wireless mobile internet and it is optimized in mobile communication environments such as a small display, small size of memory with web-mail protocol based on IMAP4 as well as POP3 mail protocol.

There are POP3(Post Office Progocol 3) and IMAP4(Internet Message Access Protocol 4) for E-Mail service of wire Internet For mobile e-mail service that use wireless Internet, must use exclusive use mobile e-mail server in the case of POP3 e-mail or flow e-mail conversion and because e-mail is kept in sever side with remote file server in case of IMAP4 mail that is used by Web-Mail, utilization of mobile e-mail service is difficult by mobile client who there is no IMAP4 rules. This thesis embodying e-mail extraction engine for mobile that do to design markup language converter of XML base, and use Web-Mail of recently been generalizing IMAP4 base in mobile, presented mobile e-mail service method to do so that can use Web-Mail that is based on IMAP4 as well as POP3 mail service in mobile environment.

XML의 등장 이후 인터넷을 이용한 다량의 데이터의 분산 처리 방식이 보다 가속화되고 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 이러한 분산 처리의 개념을 다수의 수신자에게 같은 내용의 이메일을 보내는 경우에 적용을 하고자 한다. 사용자는 한 사람의 수신자에게 메일을 보내는 것과 같이 메일 에이전트를 통해 메일을 보낼 수 있으나 메일 에이전트는 수신자의 수와 내용의 크기를 토대로 분산되어 있는 메일 시스템인 APEX-MAIL(Application Program Embedded XML-MAIL) 시스템의 각 서버로 메일의 내용과 수신자들의 목록을 XML문서로 만들어 보내며 XML문서를 전송 받은 메일서버들은 각각의 수신자에게 메일을 보내는 것이다. 따라서 본 논문에서 제안하는 APEX-MAIL 시스템은 대용량의 메일을 보냄에 있어 드는 비용을 효과를 줄여주는 효과를 보인다.

In this paper, we implemented an e-mail and chat program (client) for communication between mobile devices and PCs based on WIPI a South Korea's open wireless platform form developing device and content independent software to break from the way of developing contents that is dependent on different wireless platforms to each mobile communications company. While traditional e-mail and chat programs are written for PC-to-PC communication, we develop them for mobile-to-PC and mobile-to-mobile communications, and we expect to see various mobile contents in the future.

These days, mobile technology is developing very fast. It has increased the usage of the Internet by mobile phones. Nowadays the avatar and game contents services are most popular in mobile phones using the Internet. In this paper, we propose a Client/Server system to combine the animation avatar and e-mail services on SK-VM which are different from simple avatar services. The server which consists of DB (database) module and mail management module is designed in order to manage the information about avatar and the user. The client is designed so as to show the email contents and avatar animation on the mobile phone. This model is intended to reduce the performance overhead on the client as much as possible. We expect that this module would be useful in the mobile phones with limited resources, although the technology is being developed very rapidly.

Web-mail system is worthy of note as a next generation e-mail system for its mobility and easiness. But many web-mail system does not have any kind of security mechanism. Even if web-mail system provides security services, its degree of strength is too low. Using these web-mail systems, the e-mail is tabbed, modified or forged by attacker easily. To solve these problems, we design and implement secure web-mail system based on the international e-mail security standard S/MIME in this thesis. This secure web-mail system is composed of server system and client system The server system performs basic mail functions - sending/receiving the mails, storing the mails, and management of user information, etc. And the client system performs cryptographic functions - encryption/decryption of the mails, digital signing and validation, etc. Because client system performs cryptographic functions this secure web-mail system gives its reliability and safety, and provides end-to-end security between mail users. Also, this secure web-mail system increase system efficiency by minimize server load.

E-mail was very particular way of communication in the past, but it becomes one of daily communication methods now. Due to E-mail has a property which is not complete for security, sometimes it is used for purpose of commercial or badthings, therefore it becomes the latest problem to keep off a Spam-mail and commercial advertising E-mail, many ways to keep off were perposed for it. In this paper, I explained how to sort and keep off these Spam-mail and commercial advertising E-mail with three way, prevention by server level, prevention by construction of network level, prevention by client level. we designed a prevention system for Spam-mail and implemented it by Visual Basic.
