The purpose of this study was to analyze recent research trends of mathematics textbooks to provide implications for textbook research and development. For this purpose, 90 out of 1121 research papers published between 2006 and 2011 in seven prestigious domestic journals were selected. The papers dealing with only Korean mathematics textbooks were analyzed by school levels (i.e., elementary or secondary), mathematics content areas, analytic methods, and implications. The papers comparing our mathematics textbooks with foreign counterparts were analyzed by reasons for the comparison, school levels, subjects for analysis, and implications. The results of this study urge us to pay more attention to secondary mathematics textbooks, least studied content areas, and various but inconsistent analytic methods. This paper also suggests close connections between textbook analysis and textbook development.

This paper suggests efficient policies of the long term preservation and digital archiving of Korean electronic journals based on the OAIS Reference Model. For this purpose, a questionnaire survey and interviews have been conducted to the institutions which are providing access to Korean electronic journals. Information packages and functional workflows which suggested in the OAIS Reference Model are applied to improve the long term preservation.

In this study, we investigated the problems of existing e-journal subscriptions caused by open access of e-journals faced by university libraries. To solve these problems, we proposed an operational model for open access based subscription. The proposed operational model, which adapts the four concepts of subscription model, system, policy, and operation interpreted according to reality, applies open access on the premise of rational subscription of electronic journals. The proposed operational model was constructed based on national support, comprehensive operation, open access based model, and cooperation system. In particular, it emphasized the need for stable and continuous access to scholarly information through national support policy. The proposed operational model can be used as a basic data for the realization and research of open access in the domestic environment.

This study attempts to derive an economic analysis model for journal evaluation and conducts a case analysis based on the model. Total costs are calculated and include administrative fees (such as binding, ordering, claiming, etc.) and subscription costs. The model quantifies qualitative benefits to users, a utility that combines usage data that has also been evaluated in the existing economic analysis models. The model is designed by the usage statistics of the web-based electronic journals, which have become important resources for research. Rankings are assigned based on how items are utilized to the goal of the mother institution. In the case study based on the KDI School Library, the highest ranking off was assigned to journals that patrons used for citation in their outputs. For journals that were used background information, i.e., full text downloading or browsing , each was assigned ranking of 2 and 1, respectively. According to the analysis, the top 20 journals provided 75% of the entire library utility, showing different user behaviors among different cohorts. We expect that the model makes it possible for librarians to measure the value of journals. It can provide a basic tool for journal selection, particularly in special libraries with custom needs.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to explore the development and characteristics of e-commerce in China and analyze the current status of e-commerce platforms in China. Research design, data and methodology: To explore the development of e- commerce in China, this study collects and analyzes Chinese journals and secondary sources. It also conducts a case analysis of the success strategies of leading Chinese e-commerce companies. Results: The analysis showed that China's e-commerce is active in various forms of e-commerce, including B2B, B2C, and C2C, and that the development of e-commerce in China has been divided into three main stages. The Chinese government has been actively implementing various policies to promote the development of e-commerce. Conclusions: In this context, this paper specifically examines the development process of e- commerce in China, the current status of the Chinese e-commerce market, and the characteristics of the Chinese e-commerce market. In addition, the paper analyzes representative B2B, B2C, and C2C companies in China's e-commerce market. The results of the analysis show that Huichongwang, a B2B company, Jingdong, a B2C company, and Taobao, a C2C company, have achieved rapid growth through their core strategies and capabilities. The study also analyzed in detail the problems faced by the Chinese government and companies.

In order to design a web-based English Article Submission & Management System for science and technology research papers, Elsevier Editorial System and KISTI-ACOMS, international and domestic models--respectively--are studied and analysed. Through this analysis, a web-based paper submission and review system which can be applied to Ocean Science Journal, a research journal in the field of Oceanography, is developed. The web-based system is not only able to solve problems such as complex manuscript management, delays in the reviewing process, and loss of manuscripts that occur often in off-line paper review processes, but also is able to construct the basis for e-journal electronic publication. As a result, an effective and rapid scholarly communication environment can be made. The development and utilization of this system can improve the reputation and the globalization of science and technology research journals.

Objective: To research the trends of study related to rhinitis and acupuncture in PubMed, and to establish the hereafter direction of treating rhinitis with acupuncture Methods: We searched PubMed and chinese medical journals related to rhinitis and acupuncture. Results: 1. The pattern of the study was as follows: Review article(3), Randomized controlled trials(2), Clinical trial(11), Case report(12). 2. The effect of acupuncture on rhinitis is reported as follows: Acupucture treatment improves the scale of symptoms, nasal airways resistance and velocity of the mucociliary transport, decreasing absolute numbers of blood eosinophils, serum IgE and percentage of nasal eosinophils. Immunologically acupuncture treatment could reduce plasma IL-10 level, control IL-2, and balance between cell-specific pro-inflammatory and anti-inflammatory cytokines, TNF-${\alpha}$ and IL-10. After acupuncture treatment, there is statistically significant changes in IgA, IgE, E-rosette formative rate. 3. Many of these article have affirmative view for therapeutic effect of rhinitis with acupuncture. Statistical test was done only in 6 papers. There showed statically significant results in 4 articles, and in 2 article there showed some clinical improvement but no statically significant changes. 4. In Western countries, alternative treatments are frequent among adults with rhinitis or other allergic disease, and affirmative tendency for acupuncture treatment is increased.

The study proposed an electronic journal retrieval model to be used to improve the retrieval efficiency of e-journals. To do this, firstly, we reviewed the literature on users' information behavior and on ERM (Electronic Resource Management) systems. Secondly, we conducted an e-mail survey of 96 participants (professors and graduate students) to find out about their information behavior on how to access, use and evaluate electronic resources as well as scientific information. Thirdly, we administered case studies on two ERMSs, Ex Libris' Verde and Innovative's Millennium. The proposed model will be operated within ERM systems and it enables to the supply of both system- and user-based services by combining taxonomy-based ERM systems with tag folksonomy. The model is unique in that it includes not only the automatic tagging functions that can be performed using log files but also the tag management functions including grouping similar or related tags.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the types of mathematics journals of elementary school students and to understand how they change in mathematics journals as the grade goes up, and to obtain implications in mathematics education. To this end, 170 of the 222 parish mathematics data submitted to the "Math Journal Contest" were analyzed with the consent of both minors and their parents. As for the framework for analyzing math journal types, 12 types were derived through independent analysis between three researchers. The research results showed that first, the type of math journal written by elementary school students is a variety of journals, such as observation, problem making, concept organization, and review. In addition, as a learning area, it was found that math journal showed a noticeable increase in experimental observation, problem making, and concept journal as the grades progressed, while a small number of idea journal and explanatory journals appeared. However, game (winning) strategy building and types declined. It can be seen that this is evolving from a type that requires activity-oriented or simple descriptions to a type that actively applies mathematical concepts. As such, there are 12-type of math journals, but it is necessary to actively use the teaching materials in writing that can be freely expressed in the school setting.

Electronic products such as appliances, computers, and cellular phones have printed circuit boards (PCBs) in common and the PCBs in the waste electronic products contain valuable metals and organic resins. In Korea, recovery and recycling of the organic resins as well as the valuable metallics from the wastes are required indeed as the most of resources are being imported from abroad. In this article, the patents and papers for the recycling of organic residues from the waste PCBs were collected and analyzed. The open patents of USA (US), European Union (EP), Japan (JP), and Korea (KR) and SCI journals from 1979 to 2012 were investigated. The patents and journals were collected using key-words and filtered by the definition of the technology. The patents and journals were analyzed by the years, countries, companies, and technologies and the technical trends were discussed in this paper. It is showed sluggish relatively activity of published papers and patent applications for polymer manufacturing technology in local and abroad.
