  • Electrospun polymeric nanofibers have been extensively studied for biomedical materials because of their unique structures and relatively easy fabrication with biocompatible polymers. The amount of surface exposed amine groups increases as the blend ratio of block copolymer increases. Cell attachments on the nanofibers change according to the ratio of the block copolymer ((Poly(e-caprolactone, PCL), Poly(e-caprolactone)-Poly (ethylen glycol-$NH_2$)) in the blend. We assume that the PEG and amine moiety plays a significant role in biocompatibility of nanofiber surfaces. Collagen was used as a grafting material on the composite nanofibers to enhance the cell adhesion because the collagen is a major constituent of connective tissue.

  • We deal with the design of the effective block logistics operating system in shipyard. The block logistics operation is one of the critical managerial problems in shipbuilding. The block logistics operation in shipyard consists of storage operation for temporary storage in the limited storage area and transfer equipment operation of blocks from the given storage area to next process according to the block production schedule. We propose a design method of block logistics operating system based on the axiomatic design and IDEF0 method. As a result of axiomatic design, system functions are determined regarding implementation sequence. We validated the proposed design by implementation of a block logistics operating system for a large scale shipyard.

  • In this thesis, A methodology of system implement for PID controller, PWM logic, HSC logic, Host Communication and external DAC interface are implemented into single FPGA chip is proposed. The implemented system is used to control the speed of DC servo motor. A DATA block transfers set point value(SV) and P, I, D gain parameters to the corresponding Blocks respectively by the Host Communication to Computer. A HSC block generates process value(PV) by a pulse and $90^{\circ}$ shifted pulse from the encoder A PID block makes error(E) signal from the set value and process value and output manufacture value(MV) through the PID controller. In PWM block using the MV from the PID block, drives H-bridge controlling the Motor. Also DAC interface controls the DAC to graph the digital signal such as SV, PV, E, MV in FPGA onto the Oscilloscope.

  • 256-bit block cipher XSB(eXtended Spn Block cipher) was proposed in 2012 and has a symmetric strucrure in encryption and decryption process. In this paper, we propose a differential fault analysis on XSB. Based on a random byte fault model, our attack can recover the secret key of XSB by using only two random byte fault injection. This result is the first known cryptanalytic result on the target algorithm.

  • In this paper we propose a block-type parallel preconditioner for solving large sparse nonsymmetric linear systems, which we expect to be scalable. It is Multi-Color Block SOR preconditioner, combined with direct sparse matrix solver. For the Laplacian matrix the SOR method is known to have a nondeteriorating rate of convergence when used with Multi-Color ordering. Since most of the time is spent on the diagonal inversion, which is done on each processor, we expect it to be a good scalable preconditioner. We compared it with four other preconditioners, which are ILU(0)-wavefront ordering, ILU(0)-Multi-Color ordering, SPAI(SParse Approximate Inverse), and SSOR preconditiner. Experiments were conducted for the Finite Difference discretizations of two problems with various meshsizes varying up to $1025{\times}1024$. CRAY-T3E with 128 nodes was used. MPI library was used for interprocess communications, The results show that Multi-Color Block SOR is scalabl and gives the best performances.

  • In this paper, We propose performance of improvement method for eHDR-WPAN system using Interleaver. Burst error pattern caused by fading in indoor wireless channel. for the reason, using of Interleave method (make burst error to random error) can be enhance to error-rate in system. This paper is used Convolutional, Block, Random Interleaver. We make use of 9 and 27 for symbol spacing. Block-Interleaver is show that performance about 0.6dB of E$_b$/N$_o$ at $10^{-4}$. In result, the suitable Interleaver for eHDR-WPAN system is Block Interleaver of 9 symbol spacing.

  • Recently, flash memory has been in a great demand from embedded system sectors for storage devices. However, program/erase (P/E) cycles per block are limited on flash memory. For the limited number of P/E cycles, many wear leveling techniques are studied. They prolonged the life time of flash memory using information tables. As one of the techniques, block erase table (BET) method using a bit array table was studied for embedded devices. However, it has a disadvantage in that performance of wear leveling is sharply low, when the consumption of memory is reduced. To solve this problem, we propose a novel wear leveling technique using Sampling-based Block Erase Table (SBET). SBET relates one bit of the bit array table to each block by using exclusive OR operation with round robin function. Accordingly, SBET enhances accuracy of cold block information and can prevent to decrease the performance of wear leveling. In our experiment, SBET prolongs life time of flash memory by up to 88%, compared with previous techniques which use a bit array table.

  • Array redistribution is usually required to enhance algorithm performance in many parallel programs on distributed memory multicomputers. GEN_BLOCK redistribution, which is redistribution between different GEN_BLOCKs, is essential for load balancing. However, prior research on redistribution has been focused on regular redistribution, such as redistribution between different CYCLIC(N)s. GEN_BLOCK redistribution is very different from regular redistribution. Message passing in regular redistribution involves repetitions of basic message passing patterns, while message passing for GEN_BLOCK redistribution shows locality. This paper proves that two optimal condition, reducing the number of communication steps and minimizing redistribution size, are essential in GEN_BLOCK redistribution. Additionally, by adding a relocation phase to list scheduling, we make an optimal scheduling algorithm for GEN_BLOCK redistribution. To evaluate the performance of the algorithm, we have performed experiments on a CRAY T3E. According to the experiments, it was proven that the scheduling algorithm shows better performance and that the conditions are critical in enhancing the communication speed of GEN_BLOCK redistribution.

  • We investigated and estimated at the characteristics of decomposition and mineralization of benomyl using a design of experiment(DOE) based on the general factorial design in an E-beam process, and also the main factors(variables) with benomyl concentration(X$_1$) and E-beam irradiation(X$_2$) which consisted of 5 levels in each factor was set up to estimate the prediction model and the optimization conditions. At frist, the benomyl in all treatment combinations except 17 and 18 trials was almost degraded and the difference in the decomposition of benomyl in the 3 blocks was not significant(p > 0.05, one-way ANOVA). However, the % of benomyl mineralization was 46%(block 1), 36.7%(block 2) and 22%(block 3) and showed the significant difference of the % that between each block(p < 0.05). The linear regression equations of benomyl mineralization in each block were also estimated as followed; block 1(Y$_1$ = 0.024X$_1$ + 34.1(R$^2$ = 0.929)), block 2(Y$_2$ = 0.026X$_2$ + 23.1(R$^2$ = 0.976)) and block 3(Y$_3$ = 0.034X$_3$ + 6.2(R$^2$ = 0.98)). The normality of benomyl mineralization obtained from Anderson-Darling test in all treatment conditions was satisfied(p > 0.05). The results of prediction model and optimization point using the canonical analysis in order to obtain the optimal operation conditions were Y = 39.96 - 9.36X$_1$ + 0.03X$_2$ - 10.67X$_1{^2}$ - 0.001X$_2{^2}$ + 0.011X$_1$X$_2$(R$^2$ = 96.3%, Adjusted R$^2$ = 94.8%) and 57.3% at 0.55 mg/L and 950 Gy, respectively. A Microtox test using V. fischeri showed that the toxicity, expressed as the inhibition(%), was reduced almost completely after an E-beam irradiation, whereas the inhibition(%) for 0.5 mg/L, 1 mg/L and 1.5 mg/L was 10.25%, 20.14% and 26.2% in the initial reactions in the absence of an E-beam illumination.
