This article examines the utilization of e-resources Modibbo Adama University of Technology, (MAUTech) Yola under the auspices of the central library, the Ibrahim Babangida Library. Academics and students are primary users of information resources of any library, hence, their responses towards the utilization of e-resources in the institution have been critically considered in this study. A Mixed method research Design was adopted for the study. A case study approach was employed. The Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and Diffusion of Innovation (DoI) theories were used to develop the conceptual framework of this paper. Questionnaires were used as data gathering tools. Academics and students acted as participants. Major findings are lack of sufficient Internet access for academics and students and lack of training and awareness campaigns. Conclusion has shown that e-resources did not impact research and teaching of academics in MAUTech, Yola.

This study was conducted to investigate the awareness and utilization of the Internet resources and services for academic activities by the academic staff of tertiary institutions in Adamawa State. The researchers adopted a quantitative research method using cross-sectional survey design to collect data from the respondents. Multi-stage sampling techniques were used. Three hundred and thirty-three (333) copies of the questionnaire were administered to the respondents in the eight (8) sampled institutions and two hundred and ninety-two (292) respondents representing (87.6%) were returned and found useful. The data collected were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics by the use of SPSS version 20.0. The findings revealed that respondents were aware of all the Internet resources, (e-books, e-journals, and online databases), but regarding the Internet services, they were mostly aware of only the e-mail. The study further found that online database and e-mail as the most Internet resources and services utilized by the respondents. There are inverse and weak relationship between awareness and utilization of the Internet resources and services by the academic staff of tertiary institutions in Adamawa State. The study recommends increase awareness and use to other Internet resources such as the e-books and e-journal and Internet services, especially Usenet, Discussion group and Telnet by the management of the institutions through training, workshops/conferences for better academic activities.

This paper proposes a light-weight, seamless integrated access control for global e-Science resource sharing. E-Science, based on Grid Computing, was designed to help scientists to remotely control and process the Grid resources such as high-end equipments and remote machines. As many researchers engage in the e-Science Grids, the researchers in a grid often have to wait for or give up use of the Grid resources, even when there are idle resources in other Grids. In this case, provided that proper compensation is given, Grid resource sharing is helpful both for the researchers and the Grids which provide their resources. But, sharing Grid resources globally is not simple, as each e-Science Grid is especially designed for resource sharing in its Virtual Organization(VO) and already has its unique access control policy for its resources. This paper proposes a new integrated access control for e-Science Grid resource sharing. The access control is light-weight without any priori service level agreement(SLA)s among the Grids which share their resources and seamless because the users can use the resources shared as the ones belonging to their Grids without their additional registration to the other Grids.

Waste electrical and electronic equipment(WEEE or E-waste) is one of the fastest growing waste stream in Korea. The proper management of such equipment has become of major concern for solid waste professionals because of the large growth of the waste stream and the presence of a myriad of toxic materials with in it. In this paper in order to review the recycling system and recycling industries of the E-waste in Korea, the main frame concerning recycling of "Act on the Resources Recycling of Waste Electrical Electronic Equipment(WEEE) and End-of-life vehicles", recycling system, current recycling status, estimation of the E-waste generation, material flow of the E-waste, economics of PCB and recycling industries of the E-waste were surveyed.

As the rapidly changing e-business environment and development of IT, it is difficult to predict appropriate demand and supply of human resources in e-business industry. Such problem causes the imbalance of needs in demand and supply and the difficulty of proving useful information about fostering necessary e-business human resource and so forth. This study present a manpower training plan in e-business industry by investigating e-business human resource in the market and by analyzing curriculums in selected universities. To achieve this objective, we conducted a survey study of e-business companies, educational organizations and workers. From the results of this study, we present the current status of e-business human resource market and the problems of past manpower training system, and provide recommendations. This study would help policy makers, the private companies and academic institutions in developing effective strategies for the e-Biz human resource sector.

In order to review the recycling status of urban mine resources in China, recycling of ELV(End of Life Vehicles), E-waste(WEEE) and nonferrous metals were surveyed. Number of the sales volume of the new vehicles were over more than ten million and number of discharge vehicles are increasing now. However, recycling system has not been managed smoothly in China. Though usage of home appliances in urban is similar with advanced countries, there are significant differences in rural community. In the other hand, China is the country with the largest E-waste import in the world. Production and consumption of the nonferrous metals are increasing year by year in China, but recycling of metals is not enough.

The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), an apex body of controlling technical education in India, has made mandatory subscription of e-Resources to all its Engineering College Libraries. This policy has directly helped the teaching community, research scholars, and student's paternity, which has benefits for their teaching, research activities, and curriculum, respectively. This study emphasizes the usefulness of e-Resources among the teachers and scholars of engineering colleges in the Bangalore region under Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belgaum, Karnataka. Survey methodology has been used as the basic research tool for data collection with the help of questionnaires. 866 teaching faculties in VTU were selected randomly on the basis of willingness of users who access the e-Resources for their academic and research activities in the survey. The survey results were tabulated and analyzed with descriptive statistics methods using the SPSS 20 software package. The findings reveal that e-resources are useful for engineering college teachers and scholars for their academic and research activities.

In order to review the recycling status of urban mine resources in Korea, metal consumption, metal stock reserves and metal scraps and wastes such as iron scrap, end of life vehicles(ELV), E-waste were surveyed. In making up the list of the metal consumption, the statistical data from the Korea Non-Ferrous Association, the Korea Iron and Steel Association, the HS code of Korea Custom Service, the symposium and the related companies were collected. Finally, "Principle uses and recycling potential of metals in the periodic table" by T.E.Graedel was introduced. This paper suggested the key point for development of urban mine resources.

Many species of the genus Entolama were collected at Mt. Jiri National Park, Mt. Baikyang National Park, Mt. Sunun Provincial Park and Mt. Balwang from June, 1991 to september, 1991.These sepecies were identified. According to the results, Entolama convexum, E. roanense, E.clavipes,E.tephreum, E.ochraceumand E.weberi were newly recorded in Korea.These species were described and their Korean names were designed.

The persons who realize e-Business should have capabilities of understanding in both information technology and business processes. It is expected that current education policies and systems could not meet needs of e-Business human resources in Korea. In this paper, we define and categorize human resources for e-Business as to application areas and expertise levels. An intensive field survey has been conducted. Based on the survey results, several strategic and practical alternatives are suggested for development of e-Business human resources in Korea.
