  • 수중에서 발사체가 고속으로 주행할 때 발사체의 머리 즉, 캐비테이터 만이 물과 접촉한 상태에서 커다란 공동이 발생하여 몸체 전체를 뒤덮는 초공동현상이 발생한다. 초공동 상태에서는 발사체는 저항이 감소되어 매우 빠른 속도를 낼 수 있게 된다. 더욱이 캐비테이터가 적합한 형상을 가지게 되면 매우 낮은 압력저항을 유지하고 전체적인 저항도 획기적으로 줄일 수 있기 때문에 본 연구에서는 주어진 작용환경 하에서 저항을 최소화 하기위한 최적의 캐비테이터 형상최적설계 문제를 고려하였다. 그리고 효율적인 캐비테이터 형상최적화를 위해 공동과 캐비테이터 형상을 하나의 죄적화로 변환한 동시최적화기법을 수행하였다.

  • Behavior of the side force generated at high angles of attack by two ogive-cylinder bodies of revolution with nose fineness ratio of 2.3 (B1) and 3.5 (B2) and the effect of a strip placed close the nose tip of each body (B1S and B2S) are analyzed through the wind tunnel test at ReD=200,000 and a=42~60 deg. The side force generated by B1 is increased by placing a strip. The side force generated by B2 is in the starboard direction and its magnitude is higher than that of the B1S. The effect of the strips with various dimensions placed on B2 is investigated. It is found that the 4-layer strip placed on the starboard reversed the direction of the side force into port direction. It is confirmed by numerical simulations that the strip promotes the flow separation and increases the average pressure on the side where it is placed and consequently produces the side force in the corresponding direction.

  • When a projectile travels at high speed underwater, supercavitating flow arises, in which a huge cavity is generated behind the projectile so that only the nose, i.e., the cavitator, of the projectile is wetted, while the rest of it should be surrounded by the cavity. In that case, the projectile can achieve very high speed due to the reduced drag. Furthermore if the nose of the body is shaped properly, the attendant pressure drag can be maintained at a very low value, so that the overall drag is also reduced dramatically. In this study, shape optimization technique is employed to determine the optimum cavitator shape for minimum drag, given certain operating conditions. Shape optimization technique is also used to solve the potential flow problem for any given cavitator, which is a free boundary value problem having the cavity shape as unknown a priori. Analytical sensitivities are derived for various shape parameters in order to implement a gradient-based optimization algorithm. Simultaneous optimization technique is proposed for efficient cavitator shape optimization, in which the cavity and cavitator shape are determined in a single optimization routine.

Quality characterization of gamma-irradiated fresh oyster mushrooms (Pleurotus ostreatus) during low temperature storage

  • Fresh oyster mushrooms (Pleurotus ostreatus) were gamma-irradiated at 0, 1, 2, and 3 kGy. The effects on various quality attributes were determined during storage at $5{\pm}1^{\circ}C$. Color changes were more prominent in the cap region than the stem part. At the start of storage increase of Hunter's L-value (lightness) was observed in the caps of 2 and 3 kGy-irradiated samples. The L-value was higher in the all irradiated samples during storage. The trend was different in the case of stem region, where L-value decreased upon irradiation, but remained high throughout storage. The ${\alpha}$-value declined, whereas the b-value increased following irradiation. Irradiation showed a dose-dependent effect on the firmness, which was clearer during storage, but the samples irradiated at 1 kGy maintained an overall better texture than other irradiated samples. The weight loss was also higher in the all irradiated samples during storage. The samples irradiated at 1 kGy showed good physical appearance without any fungal attack at the end of storage; however color change in cap region was quite apparent. The ultra-structural drastic effect of irradiation was understandable using scanning electron microscopy. E-nose analysis demonstrated a clear change in the volatile profiles of all irradiated samples. Although the effect of irradiation on quality characteristics was quite clear but the all irradiated samples were free from fungal attack that was observed in the case of control sample.

누룩치의 휘발성 향미성분 분석 (Analysis of Volatile Flavor Components of Pleurospermum kamtschaticum)

  • 자생 누룩치의 휘발성 향미성분을 연속수증기증류 장치로 추출한 후 GC, GC/MS로 분석하여 31개의 휘발성 향미성분이 확인되었는데, 탄화수소류가 15종으로 전체 peak area의 64.98%를 차지하였고 알데히드류 4종 9.54%, 케톤류 1종 0.16%, 알코올류 5종 7.65%, 에스테르류 2종 2.06%, 산류 3종 2.0% 및 옥사이드류 1종 2.75%로 이루어져 있었다. 탄화수소류 중 mono-terpenes은 peak area 0.54% 및 sesquiterpenes은 52.11% 를 차치하였다. 누룩치의 주요 휘발성 향미성분은 sesquiterpenes인 (Z)-$\beta$-farnesene, (Z, E)-$\alpha$-farnesene 및 farnesene으로 사료된다. Headspace법에 의하여 신선한 누룩치의 휘발성 향미성분을 포집하여 전자코로 분석한 결과, 알코올류와 같은 극성화합물이 가장 많이 감지되었고 알데히드류, 탄화수소류 순서로 감지되었다. 또한 건조된 누룩치는 신선한 시료와 유사한 향미성분 패턴을 보였으나, 각 sensor의 저항치가 현저히 낮아 건조된 시료의 휘발성 향미성분이 비교적 적음을 확인하였다.

Physicochemical Properties of Restructured Black Goat Jerky with Various Types of Ultra-Ground Seaweed Powders

  • This study investigated the effects of ultra-ground seaweed powders (USP) on the physicochemical properties (proximate composition, mineral contents, pH, color, shear force, sensory evaluation, electronic nose, and electronic tongue) of restructured black goat jerky. Restructured black goat jerky was prepared using three different treatments, i.e., 3% (w/w) each of ultra-ground sea tangle (ST; Undaria pinnatifida), sea mustard (SM; Saccharina japonica), and sea string (SS; Gracilaria verrucosa) powders. Moisture and ash contents were significantly higher in the USP-treated group than in the control (p<0.05). Potassium, calcium, and zinc contents were significantly higher in the SM than in the other USP-treated groups (p<0.05). In contrast, pH values were significantly higher in the ST and SM than in the control and SS (p<0.05). CIE L*, CIE a*, CIE b*, and shear force were significantly lower in the USP-treated groups than in the control (p<0.05). Sensory evaluation revealed no significant difference in taste, texture, seaweed-like odor, and goaty flavor (p<0.05). Principal component analysis (PCA) and peak graph analysis of the electronic nose showed that the SS differed the most from the control compared with the other USP-treated groups, owing to the seaweed odor of ultra-ground SS powder. The PCA and ranking analysis of the electronic tongue showed that the umami taste of the SM was higher than that of the control and other USP-treated groups. Therefore, the potassium, calcium, zinc contents, and umami taste of reconstituted black goat jerky were significantly higher in the SM than in the control and other USP-treated groups.

얼굴의 특이점 검출 및 실시간 추적을 이용한 e-Book 제어 (Unconstrained e-Book Control Program by Detecting Facial Characteristic Point and Tracking in Real-time)

  • This study is about e-Book program based on human-computer interaction(HCI) system for physically handicapped person. By acquiring background knowledge of HCI, we know that if we use vision-based interface we can replace current computer input devices by extracting any characteristic point and tracing it. We decided betweeneyes as a characteristic point by analyzing facial input image using webcam. But because of three-dimensional structure of glasses, the person who is wearing glasses wasn't suitable for tracing between-eyes. So we changed characteristic point to the bridge of the nose after detecting between-eyes. By using this technique, we could trace rotation of head in real-time regardless of glasses. To test this program's usefulness, we conducted an experiment to analyze the test result on actual application. Consequently, we got 96.5% rate of success for controlling e-Book under proper condition by analyzing the test result of 20 subjects.

디카페인 커피 원두의 향기성분 변화 (Changes in aroma compounds of decaffeinated coffee beans)

  • 본 연구는 브라질산 커피생두를 디카페인 처리방법에 따라 구분하여 디카페인 무처리(RC), SWP 디카페인(SWDC), 초임계 CO2 디카페인(SCDC)에 대한 로스팅 이후 원두의 향기성분변화를 전자코와 HS-SPME-GC-MS를 이용해 분석하였다. 로스팅 후 Agtron(#)은 SWDC와 SCDC가 RC보다 더 낮은 유의적인 차이를 보였다(p<0.05). 전자코를 이용해 분석한 세 가지 시료의 주요 향기성분은 propanol-2-one, 3-methylbutanoic acid, 1-methyl-4-isopropenyl-1-cyclohexene으로 확인되었으며, 특히 propanol-2-one은 fruity, glue의 향에 관련한 것으로 디카페인 공정 유무와 상관없이 가장 높은 강도로 분석되었다. 한편, SCDC의 향기성분 중 propanol-2-one, methyl formate의 함량이 RC와 비하여 유의적으로 높게 나타났다(p<0.05). 전자코를 이용한 향기성분 패턴의 PCA 분석결과 디카페인 무처리구인 RC와 처리구인 SWDC 및 SCDC의 향기성분의 차이를 확인하였고, 이와 같은 영향은 SCDC에서 더 크게 분석되었다. RC, SWDC와 SCDC의 주요 향기성분들이 propan-2-one과 hexan-2-one은 ketone, hexanal과 (E)-2-pentenal은 aldehyde, 3-methyl-1-butanol, 4-methylhexan-1-ol, 2-octanol은 alcohol에 해당하였으며, 로스팅 후 원두에서 주로 나타나는 향기성분의 구성은 유사하였으나 상대적 강도에서 차별성이 확인되었다. HS-SPME-GC-MS를 사용한 RC, SWDC와 SCDC의 휘발성 향기성분은 모두 28종으로 확인되었으며, 세 가지 시료에서 공통으로 높은 함량을 보이는 상위 향기성분은 furfural, 2,5-dimethylpyrazine, 2-furanmethanol, 2-formyl-5-methylfuran, furfuryl acetate, 2-ethyl-3-methylpyrazine 등 총 10종으로 분석되었다. RC에서 분석된 휘발성 향기성분 20여 종은 SWDC와 SCDC에서는 낮은 함량을 보이며 디카페인 처리에 따른 영향으로 차별화되었다. 본 연구를 통해 디카페인 처리에 따른 로스팅 후 커피 원두의 향기성분 분석에 전자코와 HS-SPME-GC-MS를 이용함에 따라 향기성분의 조성 및 상대적 강도, 함량에 대한 패턴분석이 가능하였으며, 이와 같은 결과로 디카페인 커피에 대한 향미 특성 연구에 도움이 될 것이라 기대된다.

AN ACCURATE AND EFFICIENT CALCULATION OF HIGH ENTHALPY FLOWS USING A HIGH ORDER NEW LIMITING PROCESS

  • Calculation of accurate wall heat flux for high enthalpy flows requires a dense grid system, which leads to significantly large computational time. A high-order scheme can improve the efficiency of calculation because wall heat flux can be obtained accurately even with a relatively coarse grid system. However, conventional high order schemes have some drawbacks such as oscillations near a discontinuity and instability in multi-dimensional problem. To resolve these problems, enhanced Multi-dimensional Limiting Process(e-MLP) was applied as a high-order scheme. It could provide robust and accurate solutions with high order accuracy in calculation of high enthalpy flows within a short time. We could confirm the efficiency of the high order e-MLP scheme through grid convergence tests with different grid densities in a hypersonic blunt nose problem.

알레르기 비염 환자에서 적색 및 근적외선 LED 광선 치료 효과 (Effect of Red and Infrared LED Light Therapy on Allergic Rhinitis)

  • As a non-invasive method for alleviating allergic rhinitis, there has been a recent ongoing research in the treatment of light from light emitting diodes (LEDs) and lasers. A total of 15 subjects diagnosed with allergic rhinitis were selected for this study. Red and near infrared light emitted from LEDs with wavelengths of 660nm and 940nm were illuminated three times daily (three minutes per cycle) for a total of two weeks. The degree of nasal congestion, runny nose, sneezing and nasal itching was evaluated by questionnaires before and after the test. Also, the serum IgE (Immunoglobulin E) was measured and compared before and after the test. As a result, the total score of symptoms of allergic rhinitis was decreased by 67% after the test (P<0.01). The level of IgE was decreased by 17% after the test (P<0.05). In conclusion, the non-invasive LED phototherapy method using red and near-infrared LED light was effective in alleviating symptoms of allergic rhinitis. There were no adverse effects or complications reported during and after the test.
