Effect of the volumetric dimensions of a complete arch on the accuracy of scanners

  • PURPOSE. The present study aimed to evaluate the accuracy of a desktop scanner and intraoral scanners based on the volumetric dimensions of a complete arch. MATERIALS AND METHODS. Seven reference models were fabricated based on the volumetric dimensions of complete arch (70%, 80%, 90%, 100%, 110%, 120%, and 130%). The reference models were digitized using an industrial scanner (Solutionix C500; MEDIT) for the fabrication of a computer-aided design (CAD) reference model (CRM). The reference models were digitized using three intraoral scanners (CS3600, Trios3, and i500) and one desktop scanner (E1) to fabricate a CAD test model (CTM). CRM and CTM were then superimposed using inspection software, and 3D analysis was conducted. For statistical analysis, one-way analysis of variance was used to verify the difference in accuracy based on the volumetric dimensions of the complete arch and the accuracy based on the scanners, and the differences among the groups were analyzed using the Tukey HSD test as a post-hoc test (α=.05). RESULTS. The three different scanners showed a significant difference in accuracy based on the volumetric dimensions of the complete arch (P<.05), but the desktop scanner did not show a significant difference in accuracy based on the volumetric dimensions of the complete arch (P=.808). CONCLUSION. The accuracy of the intraoral scanners was dependent on the volumetric dimensions of the complete arch, but the volumetric dimensions of the complete arch had no effect on the accuracy of the desktop scanner. Additionally, depending on the type of intraoral scanners, the accuracy differed according to the volumetric dimensions of the complete arch.

  • In this paper, we propose an automatic method for setting data constraints of a data cleansing service, which is for managing the quality of data exchanged between composite services based on SOA(Service-Oriented Architecture) and enables to minimize human intervention during the process. Because it is impossible to deal with all kinds of real-world data, we focus on business data (i.e. costumer order, order processing) which are frequently used in services such as CRM(Customer Relationship Management) and ERP(Enterprise Resource Planning). We first generate an extended-element vector by extending semantics of data exchanged between composite services and then build a rule-based system for setting data constraints automatically using the decision tree learning algorithm. We applied this rule-based system into the data cleansing service and showed the automation rate over 41% by learning data from multiple registered services in the field of business.

  • It has been said that Warehouse Management System(WMS) in e-Trade has considerably contributed to improvement of distribution industry. However, in the aspect of management we have many technical problems such as transportation due to tremendous demands of online data. Therefore, for Korea to be a hub of distribution and information, this is the best time to prepare the foundation of Supply Chain Management(SCM) under Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) the and make a good use of WMS. The purposes of this study are presented as follows: First, it is to examine the general flow process of WMS in each field of our e-Trade Second, it is to present problems and plans of improvements involved in WMS in e-Trade. In short, this study aims at presenting interpretative foundation of WMS in a practical viewpoint, not presenting technical directions of WMS.

  • Electric commerce of surpassing the traditional one appeared before the public and has currently led the change in the management of enterprises. To establish and maintain good relations with customers, electric commerce has various channels for customers that understand what they want to and suggest it to them. The bulletin board and e-mail among em are inbound information that enterprises can directly listen to customers' opinions and are different from other channels in characters. Enterprises can effectively manage the bulletin board and e-mail by understanding customers' ideas as many as possible and provide them with optimum answers. It is one of the important factors to improve the reliability of the notice board and e-mail as well as the whole electric commerce. Therefore this thesis researches into methods to classify various kinds of documents automatically in electric commerce; they are possible to solve existing problems of the bulletin board and e-mail, to operate effectively and to manage systematically.   • Today in Korea, various types of B2B or B2C businesses are carried out on the Internet and the catalog information is the molt important factor to make customers purchase the product. However, no case can be found where information is shared between the business partners, more specifically, each catalog supplier possesses data that are incompatible with others. Though the e-business market has rapidly expanded, it is still difficult for businesses to attract buyers unless an integrated system is provided for more fast and convenient B2B businesses. Such a systematic and integrated catalog system is highly demanded along with current database management system Therefore, this study suggests the E-Catalog system consists of a fixed and standardized catalog system offering product information and a network-based architecture offering products to customers through a search system. The proposed system also supports CRM (Customer Relation Management).

  • 최근들어 각 기업들의 e-CRM(electronic-Customer Relationship Management)의 활발한 연구로 인해 개인 고객에 대한 매우 많은 정보와 다양한 컨텐츠가 고객화되어 개인 사용자들에게 제공되고 있다. 하지만, 현재 국내외 진자상거래를 주목적으로 하는 포탈 사이트의 시스템들은 고객에 관한 정보를 단순한 개인 프로파일로 활용하고 있을 뿐 고객 정보를 이용하여 더 많은 개인화된 새로운 정보를 창출하지 못하고 있다. 본 논문은 고객에 대한 정보를 세분화하고 분석하여 제3의 개인화 정보를 생성하여 자동으로 각 개별 고객에게 개인화된 정보를 제공해 줄 수 있는 시스템을 설계 및 구현하고자 한다. 고객의 이메일 오픈율과 마우스 이벤트 정보를 분석 및 계산하여 개별 고객에게 고객의 관심정보 및 관심 컴포넌트를 생성한 후 관심정보와 관심 컴포넌트를 이용하여 개별 고객의 관심 정보를 고객이 선호하는 이메일 규격 및 양식에 맞게 에이전트를 통해 자동으로 재구성하여 푸쉬해 주는 개인화 메일 자동 생성 에이전트 시스템을 개발하고자 함이 본 논문의 목적이다.

Web Enabled Expert Systems using Hyperlink-based Inference

  • With the proliferation of WWW, providing more intelligence to Web sites has become a major concern in e-business industry. In recent days, this trend is more accelerated by prosperity of CRM (Customer Relationship Management) in terms of various aspects such as product recommendation, self after service, etc. To accomplish this goal, many e-companies are eager to embed web enabled rule-based system, that is, expert systems into their Web sites and several well-known commercial tools are already available in the market. Most of those tools are developed based on CGI so far but CGI based systems inherently suffer over-burden problem when there are too many service demands at the same time due to the nature of CGI. To overcome this limitation of the existing CGI based expert systems, we propose a new form of Web-enabled expert system using hyperlink-based inference mechanism. In terms of burden to Web server, our approach is proven to outperform CGI based approach theoretically and also empirically. For practical purpose, our this approach is implemented in a software system, WeBIS and a graphic rule editing methodology, Expert Diagram is incorporated into the system to facilitates rule generation and maintenance. WeBIS is now successfully operated for financial consulting in the web site of a leading financial consulting company in Korea.

  • 인터넷을 통한 상품 구매는 이젠 언제 어디서나 쉽게 달 수 있는 현상이다. 또한 각종 쇼핑몰과 경매 사이트의 출현으로 소비자는 보다 쉽고 광범위하게 상품을 구매할 수 있게 되었다. 이러한 인터넷 환경속에서 다양한 형태의 정보 자원의 존재는 상품구매의 다양성 측면에서 바라볼 때는 큰 장점이 될 수 있지만 각 사이트마다의 개별적인 카탈로그 정보의 소유로 사용자가 원하는 형태의 상품구매를 위해선 같은 상품이라 할 지라도 끊임없는 시간적 투자와 노력을 들어야만 하는 불편함이 있었다. 이제 더 이상 각 업체만의 고유 카탈로그 정보를 보유할 필요가 없다. 이에 본 연구에서는 표준화되고 정형화된 카탈로그 시스템을 통해 상품 정보를 가져오고 제공된 네트워크 구조의 검색 시스템을 통해 판매자에게 원하는 물품을 제공하는 E-Catalog 시스템 모델을 설계하여 CRM(Customer Relation Management)을 지원하는 효율적인 Marketplace를 이루는데 방향을 두고자 한다.

  • 인천국제공항의 수많은 사업을 수행하면서 축적된 지식정보자원들을 web기반의 자료구조의 규격 언어인 XML을 이용한 전자적 공유체계인 전자메뉴얼시스템을 구축한 사례를 소개함으로써 XML에 대한 이해와 지식정보화 사업추진에 대한 이해에 도움이 되고자 한다. 또한, 앞으로 XML이 자리를 잡아감에 따라 XML은 점차 더많은 기업에 의해 도입될 것이고, 아울러 B2B, CRM 외에 e-비즈니스 전분야로 조만간 시장이 확대해 나갈 수 있을 것이다. 또한 지식정보 공유체계기반이 기업경쟁력의 극적인 제고와 개인의 지식창출에 기여함으로써 지식사회가 창조사회로 발전하는 기폭제가 되길 기대한다.

  • 본 논문에서는 인터넷 컨텐츠 사이트에서 개인별로 컨텐츠를 효과적으로 추천하기 위한 개인화 시스템모델을 제안하였다. 제안한 모델은 묵시적인 평가정보를 이용한 사례기반추론 기법으로서 협동적필터링 기법과 달리 유사집단의 평가정보를 이용하지 않고 개인별 속성에 대한 가중치와 속성 값을 이용하여 추천하는 기법이다. 이 기법은 각 사용자의 상품 추매 속성을 추천에 반영할 수 있는 장점이 있으며 사용자 프로파일을 이용하여 개인화된 추천이 가능하다. 제안한 기법이 Recall, Precision, F-measure의 평가 방법을 통해 실험한 결과 협동적필터링 기법 보다 모든 부분에서 더 좋은 결과가 나왔음을 볼 수 있다. 그러므로 제안 시스템이 유사 사용자의 평가정보를 이용한 협동적필터링 기법보다 효율적인 개인화 전략이 가능하다고 말 수 있다. 본 제안 모델을 이용하여 일대일 마케팅을 위한 eCRM 시스템 개발이 가능하리라 예상된다.
