확장 해밀턴 이론에 근거한 선형탄성시스템의 변분동적수치해석법 (A Variational Numerical Method of Linear Elasticity through the Extended Framework of Hamilton's Principle)

  • 동역학의 새로운 변분이론인 확장 해밀턴 이론은 수학물리학을 비롯한 공학에 있어 초기치-경계치 문제해석에 광범위하게 적용될수 있는 기반을 제공하는 것으로 본 논문에서는 이 이론을 기반으로 선형탄성 단자유도계에 적용한 새로운 수치해석법을 제안하였다. 곧, 변분이론의 특성을 감안해, 전체 time-step에 대한 수치해를 한번에 산정하는 해석법을 제안하였고, 주요 예제를 통해 이 해석법의 특성을 살펴보았다. 에너지 보존 시스템의 경우(비감쇠 시스템에 외력이 작용치 않는 경우), time-step에 관계없이 에너지와 모멘텀이 보존되는 symplecticity property를 가지고 있음을 확인할 수 있었고, 감쇠 시스템인 경우, time-step이 점점 작아질수록 정확한 해에 빠르게 수렴하는 것을 확인하였다.

복합체계 개념에 기반한 국방체계 모델링 시뮬레이션 방법론 (Modeling and Simulation Methodology for Defense Systems Based on Concept of System of Systems)

  • A complex system such as defense systems is in a form of System of Systems (SoS) in which each component is a system being independent of other component systems. Dynamical behavior of SoS is represented by a composition of behaviors of component systems. Thus, a M&S tool/environment would not be efficient for development of heterogeneous models nor for simulation in a centralized environment. Moreover, such an environment restricts reusability and composability. This paper presents an interoperation method for M&S of defense systems as SoS. The approach first develops component system models using tools, each specialized to M&S of each component system. It then interoperates such simulations together to simulate a whole system as SoS. HLA/RTI is employed for such interoperation, which is a DoD/IEEE standard to support interoperation. We will introduce a case study for interoperable simulation of defense systems, which consists of a wargame simulator and a communication simulator.

전압안정도 향상을 위한 FACTS의 적용과 Bifurcation이론 해석 (FACTS Application for the Voltage Stability with the Analysis of Bifurcation Theory)

  • 본 논문온 전압안정도에 Brfurcation 이론을 적용하여 해석하고, FACTS기가인 SVC와 UPFC를 전력계통에 연계하였을 때 전압안정도가 향상되는 효과를 보여주고 있다. 전압안정도는 일반적으로 시스템 파라미터(유효전력 또는 무효전력}를 포행하는 고도의 비선형 동적시스템의 식들에 의해 표현된다. 때때로 전력계통에서의 파라미터 변이는 시스템 불안정을 일으키는 복잡한 동작을 일으킬 수도 있다. 전력계통에서의 FACTS의 연계는 이러한 전압안정도의 범위를 증가시킨다. FACTS를 이용하여 불안정한 HopF Bifurcation과 Saddle Node Bihlfcation을 지연시킴에 의해서 전압안정도기 향상됨을 사례연구를 통하여 입증하였다.

  • Eigenstructure (eigenvalues/eigenvectors) assignment has been shown to be a useful tool for flight control system design. In the sense of the eigenstructure assignment, the effectiveness and disturbance suppressibility of a controller depend mainly on the left eigenstructure (eigenvalues/left eigenvectors) of a system. On the other hand, the disturbance decouplability is governed by the right eigenstructure (eigenvalues/right eigenvectors) of the system. In this paper, in order to obtain a disturbance decouplable as well as effective and disturbance suppressible controller, a concurrent assignment methodology of the left and right eigenstructures is proposed. The biorthogonality condition between the left and right modal matrices of a system as well as the relations between the achievable right modal matrix and state selection matrices are used to develop the methodology. The proposed concurrent eigenstructure assignment methodology guarantees that the desired eigenvalues are achieved exactly and the desired left and right eigenvectors are assigned to the best possible(achievable) sets of eigenvectors in the least square sense, respectively. The proposed design methodology is applied to designing a lateral flight control system for an L-1011 aircraft with disturbances.

불확실한 비선형 계통에 대한 SPR 조건이 필요 없는 적응 퍼지 관측기 (Adaptive Fuzzy Observer without SPR Condition for Uncertain Nonlinear Systems)

  • 본 논문은 불확실한 비선형 계통에 대해서 강인한 적응 퍼지 관측기를 설계하는 방법을 제시한다. 새로 제시하는 관측기는 관측기 설계시 관측오차의 동특성식이 SPR (strictly positive real)이어야 한다는 조건이 불필요하다. 또한 불확실한 항에 대한 유계상수도 추정하는 알고리듬을 사용하여 강인항의 이득값을 설계자가 미리 결정할 필요가 없게 된다. 설계된 관측기를 포함한 전체 폐루프 계통에 대해서 리아프노브 안정도를 증명하였으며 관측오차를 포함한 계통의 모든 신호들의 반전역적 유계(semi-global uniform ultimate boundedness)임을 증명하였다. 이론적으로 도출된 결과를 mass-spring-damper 계통에 대한 모의실험을 수행하여 제안된 관측기의 효율성과 성능을 보였다.

비압축성 유동장내 2차원 익형의 혼돈거동 (Chaotic Behavior of 2-Dimensional Airfoil in Incompressible Flow)

  • The self-excited vibrations of airfoil is related to the classical flutter problems, and it has been studied as a system with linear stiffness and small damping. However, since the actual aircraft wing and the many mechanical elements of airfoil type have various design variables and parameters, some of these could have strong nonlinearities, and the nonlinearities could be unexpectedly strong as the parameters vary. This abrupt chaotic behavior undergoes ordered routes, and the behaviors after these routes are uncontrollable and unexpectable since it is extremely sensitive to initial conditions. In order to study the chaotic behavior of the system, three parameters are considered, i.e., free-stream velocity, elastic distance and zero-lift angle. If the chaotic parameter region can be identified from the mathematically modeled nonlinear differential equation system, the designs which avoid chaotic regions could be suggested. In this study, by using recently developed dynamically system methods, and chaotic regions on the parameter plane will be found and the safe design variables will be suggested.

  • The fusion of the GPS (Global Positioning System) and DR (Dead Reckoning) is widely used for position and latitude estimation of vehicles such as a mobile robot, aerial vehicle and marine vehicle. Among the many types of aerial vehicles, grater focus is given on the quad-rotor and accuracy of the position information is becoming more important. In order to exactly estimate the position information, we propose the fusion method of GPS and Gyroscope sensor using the DEKF (Dual Extended Kalman Filter). The DEKF has an advantage of simultaneously estimating state value and a parameter of dynamical system. It can also be used even if state value is not available. In order to analyze the performance of DEKF, the computer simulation for estimating the position, the velocity and the angle in a circle trajectory of quad-rotor was done. As it can be seen from the simulation results using own proposed DEKF instead of EKF on own fusion method in the navigation of a quad-rotor gave better performance values.

Random dynamic analysis for simplified vehicle model based on explicit time-domain method

  • On the basis of the explicit time-domain method, an investigation is performed on the influence of the rotational stiffness and rotational damping of the vehicle body and front-rear bogies on the dynamic responses of the vehicle-bridge coupled systems. The equation of motion for the vehicle subsystem is derived employing rigid dynamical theories without considering the rotational stiffness and rotational damping of the vehicle body, as well as the front-rear bogies. The explicit expressions for the dynamic responses of the vehicle and bridge subsystems to contact forces are generated utilizing the explicit time-domain method. Due to the compact wheel-rail model, which reflects the compatibility requirement of the two subsystems, the explicit expression of the evolutionary statistical moment for the contact forces may be performed with relative ease. Then, the evolutionary statistical moments for the respective responses of the two subsystems can be determined. The numerical results indicate that the simplification of vehicle model has little effect on the responses of the bridge subsystem and the vehicle body, except for the responses of the rotational degrees of freedom for the vehicle subsystem, regardless of whether deterministic or random analyses are performed.

Neural Networks Based Identification and Control of a Large Flexible Antenna

  • This paper presents identification and control of a 10-m antenna via accelerometers and angle encoder data. Artificial Neural Networks can be used effectively for the identification and control of nonlinear dynamical system such as a large flexible antenna. Some identification results are shown and compared with the results of conventional prediction error method. And we use a neural network inverse model for control the large flexible antenna. In the neural network inverse model, a neural network is trained, using supervised learning, to develop an inverse model of the antenna. The network input is the process output, and the network output is the corresponding process input. The control results show the validation of the ANN approach for identification and control of the 10-m flexible antenna.

초공간을 고려한 SA 508강의 재질열화 시계열 신호의 카오스성 평가 (Chaotic evaluation of material degradation time series signals of SA 508 Steel considering the hyperspace)

  • This study proposes the analysis method of time series ultrasonic signal using the chaotic feature extraction for degradation extent evaluation. Features extracted from time series data using the chaotic time series signal analyze quantitatively degradation extent. For this purpose, analysis objective in this study is fractal dimension, lyapunov exponent, strange attractor on hyperspace. The lyapunov exponent is a measure of the rate at which nearby trajectories in phase space diverge. Chaotic trajectories have at least one positive lyapunov exponent. The fractal dimension appears as a metric space such as the phase space trajectory of a dynamical system. In experiment, fractal correlation) dimensions, lyapunov exponents, energy variation showed values of 2.217∼2.411, 0.097∼ 0.146, 1.601∼1.476 voltage according to degardation extent. The proposed chaotic feature extraction in this study can enhances precision ate of degradation extent evaluation from degradation extent results of the degraded materials (SA508 CL.3)
