The purpose of this study is to analyze the organization of trading area and fashion trend in Gumi based on the observation of fashion brand stores which had been undertaken on a regular basis from July 2001 through July 2004. Gumi has over 1,000 stores located in main trading streets, about $25\%$ of which was fashion retail stores. In July 2004, $64.6\%$ of them was selling branded products, and the number of unisex casual wear stores was the greatest, followed by women's casual wear stores, sportswear stores, and children's wear stores. On the main streets of Gumi, casual attires as well as casual wear stores can be easily observed because the population of eumi is young compared to that of other regions. Among casual wear brands, especially sensory, or trendy casual wear brands such like BNX, A6, Coax, Koolhaas, EXR, and Smex came into Gumi area in large numbers since fall of 2002. From the observation data, dynamic and systemic effects of economic state, population, seasonal elements, product characteristics, etc. on the organizations of trading area were identified.
The objective of this study is to evaluate the impact of the high resolution topographies and landuses data on simulated meteorological variables (wind speed at 10 m, temperature at 2 m and relative humidity at 2 m) in WRF. We compare the results with WRF simulation using each resolution of the topographies and landuses, and with 37 AWS observation data on the Seoul metropolitan regions. According to results of using high-resolution topography, WRF model gives better topographical expression over domain. And we can separate more detail (Low intensity residential, high intensity residential, industrial or commercial) using high resolution landuses data. The result shows that simulated temperature and wind speed are generally higher than AWS observation data. However, simulation trend with temperature, wind speed, and relative humidity are similar to observation data. The reason for that is that the high precipitation event occurred in CASE 1 and 2. Temperature have correlation of 0.43~0.47 and standard deviation of $2.12{\sim}2.28^{\circ}C$ in CASE 1, while correlation of more than 0.8 and standard deviation of $3.05{\sim}3.18m\;s^{-1}$ in CASE 2. In case of wind speed, correlation have lower than 0.5 and Standard Deviation of $1.88{\sim}2.34m\;s^{-1}$ in CASE 1 and 2. In statistical analysis shows that using highest resolution (U01) results are more close to the AWS observation data. It can be concluded that the topographies and landuses are important factor that affect model simulation. However, the tendency to always use high resolution topographies and landuses data appears to be unjustified, and optimal solution depends on the combination of scale effect and mechanisms of dynamic models.

PURPOSE: This study examined the effects of action observational training with acoustic stimulation (AOTA) on the balance and gait ability in stroke patients. METHODS: Forty-five chronic stroke patients were divided into three groups. The AOTA group (n = 15) received training via a video that showed a normal gait with the sound of footsteps. The action observation training (AOT) group (n = 15) received AOT without acoustic stimulation. The control group (n = 15) received physical training. Each intervention was applied once per day, three times per week for six weeks. The participants in the AOTA and AOT groups had five minutes of AOT. The participants in the all group had 20 minutes of physical training. All participants were measured using the Berg Balance Scale, the Timed Up and Go Test, the Functional Reaching Test, 10 Meter Walk Test, six Minute Walk Test, and Dynamic Gait Index. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS version 20.0 for Windows. The between- and within-group comparisons were analyzed using the one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) test and a paired t-test, respectively. For all statistical analyses, the significance level was set to .05. RESULTS: The one-way ANOVA test identified significant differences among the measurement results of the three groups (p < .05). Post hoc analyses indicated the AOTA group to undergo more significant balance and gait changes than the control group (p < .05). CONCLUSION: The gait and balance abilities could be improved effectively for patients with stroke when action observation training and acoustic stimulation were applied simultaneously.
This study evaluates three distinct observation methods, CRDS, OA-ICOS, and OF-CEAS, in greenhouse gas monitoring equipment for atmospheric CO2 and CH4 concentrations. The assessment encompasses fundamental performance, high-concentration measurement accuracy, calibration methods, and the impact of atmospheric humidity on measurement accuracy. Results indicate that within a range of approximately 500 ppm, all three devices demonstrate high accuracy and linearity. However, beyond 1000 ppm, CO2 accuracy sharply declines (84%), emphasizing the need for caution when interpreting high-concentration CO2 data. An analysis of calibration methods reveals that both CO2 and CH4 measurements achieve high accuracy and linearity through 1-point calibration, suggesting that multi-point calibration is not imperative for precision. In dynamic atmospheric conditions with significant CO2 and CH4 concentration variations, a 1-point calibration suffices for reliable data (99% accuracy). The evaluation of humidity impact demonstrates that humidity removal devices significantly reduce air moisture levels, yet this has a negligible effect on dry CO2 concentrations (less than 0.5% relative error). All three observation method instruments, which have integrated humidity correction to calculate dry CO2 concentrations, exhibit minor sensitivity to humidity removal devices, implying that additional removal devices may not be essential. Consequently, this study offers valuable insights for comparing data from different measurement devices and provides crucial information to consider in the operation of monitoring sites.

Bridge structures are designed to support ordinary loadings such as vehicles, wind, temperature and current as well as unexpected loadings like earthquakes and storm. Especially, the displacement of Flexible bridges like an suspension bridge under ordinary loading conditions is necessary to be monitored. In case of long span bridges, there are some difficulties in monitoring the displacement of center of the main span using traditional laser displacement sensors. In this study, the static and dynamic displacement responses due to vehicle loadings were measured by DGPS(differential global positioning system) technique. The displacement response data were compared with data obtained from traditional laser displacement sensors so that the static and dynamic behavior of the bridge under vehicle loadings was examined and the applicability of the displacement response measurement using DGPS technique was verified. The static and dynamic loading test for an self-anchored suspension bridge, So-rok Bridge, was performed using vehicles. The displacement response from DGPS technique and that from laser displacement sensors of the bridge monitoring system were compared. The amplitude of white noise from DGPS based measurement was about 7 mm and that of laser displacement sensor based measurement was about 3 mm. On the other hand, dynamic behavior of the center of main span from DGPS based measurement showed better agreement with influence line of the bridge than that from laser displacement sensors. In addition, there were some irregular and discontinuous variation of data due to the instability of GPS receivers or frequent appearance of GPS satellites. Post-processing via the reference station close to an observation post provided by NGII(National Geographic Information Institute) will be a counter-plan for these defects.
This study deals with thegeometrical nonlinear dynamic behavior of laminated plates made of advanced composite materials (ACMs), which contain central cutouts. Based on the first-order shear deformation plate theory (FSDT), the Newmark method and Newton-Raphson iteration wereused for the nonlinear dynamic solution. The effects of the cutout sizes and lay-up sequences on the nonlinear dynamic response for various parameters werestudied using a nonlinear dynamic finite element program that was developed for this study. The several numerical results agreed well with those reported by other investigators for square composite plates with or without central cutouts, and the new results reported in this paper showed significant interactions between the cutout and the layup sequence in the laminate. Key observation points are discussed and a brief design guide for laminates with central cutouts is given.

In this paper, we propose the miniaturization size of wearable Range of Motion(ROM) and a system that can be connected with smart devices in real-time to measure the joint movement range dynamically. Currently, the ROM of the joint is directly measured by a person using a goniometer. Conventional methods are different depending on the measurement method and location of the measurement person, which makes it difficult to measure consistently and may cause errors. Also, it is impossible to measure the ROM of joints in real-life situations. Therefore, the wearable sensor is attached to the joint to be measured to develop a miniaturize size ROM device that can measure the range of motion of the joint in real-time. The sensor measured the resistance value changed according to the movement of the joint using a load cell. Also, the sensed analog values were converted to digital values using an Analog to Digital Converter(ADC). The converted amount can be transmitted wireless to the smart device through the wearable sensor node. As a result, the developed device can be measured more consistently than the measurement using the goniometer, communication with IoT-based smart devices, and wearable enables dynamic observation. The developed wearable sensor node will be able to monitor the dynamic state of rehabilitation patients in real-time and improve the rapid change of treatment method and customized treatment.
In this study, a forging steel alloyed with both Nb and V was used as experimental material and the hot deformation behavior has been studied for this steel by conducting the compressive deformation test at temperature of $900-1150^{\circ}C$ and strain rate of $0.01-0.01s^{-1}$ in a MMS-300 thermo-mechanical simulator. The microstructure evolution, particularly the dynamically recrystallized microstructure, of the experimental steel at elevated temperatures, strain rates and strain levels, was characterized by optical microstructural observation and the constitutive equation in association with the activation energy and Zener-Hollomon parameter. The curves of strain hardening rate versus stress were used to determine the critical strain and peak strain, and their relation was connected with Zener-Hollomon parameter. Under the conditions of processing temperature $900^{\circ}C$ and strain rate $0.01s^{-1}$, the dynamic recrystallization took place and the austenite grain size was refined from $164.5{\mu}m$ to $28.9{\mu}m$.
A new site classification system and site coefficients based on local site conditions in Korea were developed and implemented as a part of minimum design load requirements for general seismic design. The new site classification system adopted bedrock depth and average shear wave velocity of soil above the bedrock as parameters for site classification. These code provisions were passed through a public hearing process before it was enacted. The public hearing process recommended to modify the naming of site classes and adjust the amplification factors so that the level of short-period amplification is suitable for economical seismic design. In this paper, the new code provisions were assessed using dynamic centrifuge tests and by comparing the design response spectra (DRS) with records from 2016 Gyeongju earthquake, the largest earthquake in history of instrumental seismic observation in Korea. The dynamic centrifuge tests were performed to simulate the representative Korean site conditions, such as shallow depth to bedrock and short-period amplification characteristics, and the results corroborated with the new DRS. The Gyeongju earthquake records also showed good agreement with the DRS. In summary, the new code provisions are reliable for representing the site amplification characteristic of shallow bedrock condition in Korea.

The vibration qualification test of satellite antenna is required to verify that there will be no structural damage due to the severe vibration caused by the launch of satellite. For the qualification test, reasonable test load condition needs to be introduced by dynamic analysis. The present work has been performed to provide an understanding how the qualification test load can be evaluated by the results of both normal mode and sine vibration analyses with notching technique for a composite Ka-band antenna structure.
