회분공정의 장치 고장을 고려한 동적생산계획 기법 (Rescheduling algorithms considering unit failure on the batch process management)

  • Dynamic scheduling is very important in constructing CIM and improving productivity of chemical processing systems. Computation at the scheduling level requires mostly a long time to generate an optimal schedule, so it is difficult to immediately respond to actual process events in real-time. To solve these problems, we developed dynamic scheduling algorithms such as DSMM(Dynamic Shift Modification Method), PUOM(Parallel Unit Operation Method) and UVVM(Unit Validity Verification Method). Their main functions are to minimize the effects of unexpected disturbances such as process time variations and unit failure, to predict a makespan of the updated dynamic schedule and to modify schedule desirably in real-time responding to process time variations. As a result, the algorithms generate a new pertinent schedule in real-time which is close to the original schedule but provides an efficient way of responding to the variation of process environment. Examples in a shampoo production batch process illustrate the efficiency of the algorithms.

Effect of Dynamic Flow on the Structure of Inhibition Layer in Hot-dip Galvanizing

  • The effect of dynamic flow or forced convection were investigated and compared on the formation of inhibition layer, galvanizing and galvannealing reactions through the hot-dip galvanizing simulator with the oscillation of specimen in zinc bath, continuous galvanizing pilot plant with zinc pumping system through the snout and continuous galvanizing operation with Dynamic $Galvanizing^{TR}$ system. The interfacial Al pick-up was not consistent between the results of simulator, pilot plant and line operation, but the morphology of inhibition layer became compact and refined by the forced convection. The growth of Fe-Zn intermetallics at the interface was inhibited by the forced convection, whereas the galvannealing rate would be a little promoted.

Dynamic Power Supply Current Testing for Open Defects in CMOS SRAMs

  • The detection of open defects in CMOS SRAM has been a time consuming process. This paper proposes a new dynamic power supply current testing method to detect open defects in CMOS SRAM cells. By monitoring a dynamic current pulse during a transition write operation or a read operation, open defects can be detected. In order to measure the dynamic power supply current pulse, a current monitoring circuit with low hardware overhead is developed. Using the sensor, the new testing method does not require any additional test sequence. The results show that the new test method is very efficient compared with other testing methods. Therefore, the new testing method is very attractive.

최소 절삭력형 정면밀링 커터의 동적거동에 관한 연구 (A Study about Dynamic Behavior of the Face Milling Cutter to Minimize Resultant Cutting Force)

  • On face milling operation a newly optimal tool, which can minimize the resultant cutting forces resulted from the cutting force model, was designed and manufactrued. Cutting experiments using the new and conventional tools were carried out and the cutting forces resulted from those tools were analyzed in time and frequency domains. The performance of the optimized cutter was tested through the dynamic cutting forces resulted form the newly designed tool are much reduced in comparision with those from the conventional tool. By reducing the dynamic cutting force fluctuations, machine tool vibrations can be reduced, and stable cutting operation can be carried out.

  • The stable and safe operation of a boiler system is essential for ensuring stability of the chemical processes. A dynamic simulation of a boiler drum was performed to identify the dynamics of the boiler drum. The obtained results represented that the variation of process variables disturb boiler system. So, disturbance rejection with tracking and constraints handing was necessary for stable operation of boiler drum. Among many controller, GPC has been known to show good performance in set point tracking than disturbance. In order to improve disturbance rejection performance measurable disturbance term was Introduced in basic GPC model. The controller which had tracking and disturbance rejection was designed for Improving the stable operation of a boiler system.

Drill 가공에서의 절삭저항에 관한 연구 (On the Cutting Resistance in Drilling Operation)

  • In relation to the machinability of drilling operation, experiments were made to investigate the effect of cutting condition on static as well as dynamic cutting resistances in cutting plane carbon steel (SM 45 C) with H.S.S. twist drills. The results were as follows. 1) The static cutting resistances on carbon steel can practically be calculated by the following equations which were derived from experimental result. The deviation from the experimental values was less than 8% and 13% for cutting torque and thrust respectively. For cutting torque M: M=0.019 $H_B\;{f^{0.68}d^{1.68}$ For thrust T: T=0.400406 $r^{0.6}d^{0.68}$ + 0.1835 $H_BC^2$(where $H_B$: Brinnel hardness) 2) The static components of cutting resistance are increased exponentially with increasing drill diameter and feed rate. On the effect of drill diameter, the dynamic components of torque are decreased with increasing dirll diameter because of rigidity, the dynamic components of thrust being not effected with the changes. 3) As feed rates increase, the dynamic components of torque rather decrease although its changes on thrust components are unstable. 4) The static components of cutting resistance and dynamic component of torque are slightly decreased in accordance with the increase of spindle speed although its dynamic thrust components are not effected by the spindle speed.

  • This paper reviews the definition and background of dynamic pricing which is the essential element of demand response system. Also, economic efficiency and related issues on dynamic pricing are studied. Several issues on design and operation of demand response system, which can implement the dynamic pricing, are described. Therefore the results will be helpful for developing the demand response system with dynamic pricing.

  • The dynamic behavior of heat recovery steam generators for combined cycle power plant is simulated in cases of startup and shutdown conditions. To ensure performance and design data, dynamic model of the HRSG was developed and dynamic simulation was performed. The dynamic analysis will undoubtedly reduce costs which is associated with plant startup and contribute to a smooth commercial plant operation.

  • 고속철도 교량은 고속주행 열차의 차축 주기하중 효과와 교량 고유의 동적특성에 의한 동적 증폭 효과로 인하여 구조물의 안전성에 영향을 받는다. 그리고 교량의 과도한 변형으로 인하여 차륜과 레일의 접촉력 감소, 궤도틀림 등의 윤중 변동이 일어나 열차의 주행안전성 및 승차감을 저해할 수 있다. 이러한 궤도 안전성을 확보하기 위하여 동적거동에 대한 교량상판수준의 수직가속도 제한, 차륜-레일간의 접촉과 열차주행 안전성 확보를 위한 상판 면틀림 제한, 단부 회전각 변위 제한, 차량하중에 의한 교량의 수직 처짐 제한을 반드시 만족시켜야 하며, 필수적으로 공진에 대한 검토도 이루어져야 한다. 신설되는 호남고속철도에서는 기존의 경부고속철도와 다른 콘크리트 도상을 적용하고, 궤도간격, 설계열차하중 등이 변경되어 적용되므로 새로운 동적안정성 요구조건을 적용하게 된다. 본 연구에서는 콘크리트교량에 비해 진동특성이 취약한 것으로 알려진 강합성 거더 고속철도 교량의 동적거동 분석을 수행하였다.

플래시 저장장치 컨트롤러 시스템을 위한 동적 낸드 오퍼레이션 스케줄링 (Dynamic NAND Operation Scheduling for Flash Storage Controller Systems)

  • 낸드 플래시 메모리 기반 저장장치는 성능을 높이기 위하여 내부에 다수의 플래시 메모리가 공유하는 데이터 버스들을 구성하고, 이 구조를 이용하여 다수의 플래시 메모리 오퍼레이션을 동시에 수행하는 병렬 기법을 사용한다. 저장장치의 성능은 개별 데이터 버스의 성능에 의하여 많은 영향을 받기 때문에, 저장장치 컨트롤러가 오퍼레이션을 효과적으로 스케줄링 함으로써 버스의 성능을 높이는 것이 중요하다. 그러나 오퍼레이션 별로 상이한 동작시간과 버스사용 특성으로 인하여 시시각각 변화하는 버스의 상황은 스케줄링을 어렵게 만든다. 또한 단순히 버스 사용효율을 높이기 위한 스케줄링 기법은 예상하지 못한 오퍼레이션의 지연과 저장장치의 자원 낭비를 초래할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 데이터 버스의 성능과 저장장치의 자원 효율을 고려한 동적인 오퍼레이션 스케줄링 기법들을 제안한다. 제안하는 기법들은 오퍼레이션을 세 단계로 구분한 후 오퍼레이션의 특성과 데이터 버스의 상황에 따라 이들을 스케줄링 한다. 제안된 기법들을 컨트롤러에 적용하여 FPGA 플랫폼에서 검증한 결과, 제안된 기법을 적용한 컨트롤러는 정적인 스케줄링 기법을 사용하는 컨트롤러에 비하여 쓰기 오퍼레이션의 수가 1.9% 줄어들었으며 4-7% 높은 버스 사용효율과 4-19% 높은 처리량을 보였다.
