We developed a computational method on coupled dynamics of tracked vehicle on seafloor and long flexible pipe. The tracked vehicle is modeled as rigid-body vehicle, and the linked flexible pipe is discretized according to a lumped-parameter model. The equations of motion of the rigid-body vehicle on the soft seafloor are combined with the governing equations of flexible pipe dynamics. Four Euler parameters method is used to express the orientations of the vehicle and the flexible pipe. In order to solve the nonlinear coupled dynamics of vehicle and flexible pipe an incremental-iterative formulation is implemented. For the time-domain integration $Newmark-\beta$ method is adopted. The total Jacobean matrix has been derived based on the incremental-iterative formulation. The interactions between the dynamics of flexible pipe and the mobility of the tracked vehicle on soft seafloor are investigated through numerical simulations in time domain.
Purpose: The purpose of this paper is to present a service construction plan using multiple complex sensor information to detect abnormal situations in urban life safety that are difficult to identify on CCTV. Method: This study selected service scenarios based on actual testbed data and analyzed service importance for local government control center operators, which are main users. Result: Service scenarios were selected as detection of day and night dynamic object, Detection of sudden temperature changes, and Detection of time-series temperature changes. As a result of AHP analysis, walking and mobility collision risk situation services and fire foreshadowing detection services leading to immediate major disasters were highly evaluated. Conclusion: This study is significant in proposing a plan to build an anomaly detection service that can be used in local governments based on real data. This study is significant in proposing a plan to build an anomaly detection service that can be used by local governments based on testbed data.
Purpose: Industrial punch accidents involving fingers cause segmental injuries to tendons and neurovascular bundles. Although multiple-level segmental amputations are not replanted to regain function, most patients with an amputated finger want to undergo replantation for cosmetic as much as functional reason. The authors describe four cases of digital amputation by an industrial punch that involved the reinstatement of the amputated finger involving a joint and neurovascular bundle. Amputated segments were replanted to restore amputated surfaces and distal segments. Methods: A single institution retrospective review was performed. Inclusion criteria of punch injuries requiring replantation were applied to patients of all demographic background. Injury extent (size, tissue involvement), operative intervention, pre- and postoperative hand function were recorded. Result: Four cases of amputations were treated at our institute from 2004 to 2008 from industrial punch machine injury. Average patient age was 32.5 years (25~39 years) and there were three males and one female. Sizes of amputated segments ranged from $1.0{\times}1.0{\times}1.2\;cm^3$ to $3{\times}1.5{\times}1.6\;cm^3$. Tenorrhaphy was conducted after fixing fractured bone of the amputated segments with K-wire. Proximal and distal arteries and veins were repaired using the through & through method. The average follow-up period was thirteen months (2~26 months), and all replanted cases survived. Osteomyelitis occurred in one case, skin grafting after debridement was performed in two cases. Because joints were damaged in all four cases, active ranges of motion were much limited. However, a secondary tendon graft enhanced digit function in two cases. The two-point discrimination test showed normal values for both static and dynamic tests for three cases and 9 mm and 15 mm by dynamic and static testing, respectively, in one case. Conclusion: Though amputations from industrial punch machines are technically challenging to replant, our experience has shown it to be a valid therapy. In cases involving punch machine injury, if an amputated segment is available, the authors recommend that replantation be considered for preservation of finger length, joint mobility, and overall functional recovery of the hand.

Location determination of mobile user via RSSI approach has received ample attention from researchers lately. However, it remains a challenging issue due to the complexities of RSSI signal propagation characteristics, which are easily exacerbated by the mobility of user. Hence, a segmentation-based linear spline interpolation method is proposed to cater for the dynamic fluctuation pattern of radio signal in complex environment. This optimization algorithm is proposed in addition to the current radiolocation's (CC2431, Chipcon, Norway) algorithm, which runs on IEEE802.15.4 standard. The enhancement algorithm involves four phases. First phase consists of calibration model in which RSSI values at different static locations are collected and processed to obtain the mean and standard deviation value for the predefined distance. RSSI smoothing algorithm is proposed to minimize the dynamic fluctuation of radio signal received from each reference node when the user is moving. Distances are computed using the segmentation formula obtain in the first phase. In situation where RSSI value falls in more than one segment, the ambiguity of distance is solved by probability approach. The distance probability distribution function(pdf) for each distances are computed and distance with the highest pdf at a particular RSSI is the estimated distance. Finally, with the distances obtained from each reference node, an iterative trilateration algorithm is used for position estimation. Experiment results obtained position the proposed algorithm as a viable alternative for location tracking.
Most ad-hoc routing protocols such as AODV(Ad Hoc On-Demand Distance Vector) and DSR(Dynamic Source Routing) do not try to search for new routes if the network topology does not change. Hence, with low node mobility, traffic may be concentrated on several nodes, which results in long end-to-end delay due to congestion at the nodes. Furthermore, since some specific nodes are continuously used for long duration, their battery power may be rapidly exhausted. Expiration of nodes causes connections traversing the nodes to be disrupted and makes many routing requests be generated at the same time. Therefore, we propose a load balancing approach called Simple Load-balancing Approach (SLA), which resolves the traffic concentration problem by allowing each node to drop RREQ (Route Request Packet) or to give up packet forwarding depending on its own traffic load. Meanwhile, mobile nodes nay deliberately give up forwarding packets to save their own energy. To make nodes volunteer in packet forwarding. we also suggest a payment scheme called Protocol-Independent Fairness Algorithm (PIEA) for packet forwarding. To evaluate the performance of SLA, we compare two cases where AODV employs SLA or not. Simulation results show that SLA can distribute traffic load well and improve performance of entire ad-hoc networks.
The PGLE and PGLE3 nonionic surfactants were synthesized from the reaction between glycidol and lauryl acid and their structures were confirmed by $^1H$ and $^{13}C$ NMR analysis. The CMCs of PGLE and PGLE3 surfactants were found to be $3.59{\times}10^{-2}$ mol/L and $8.80{\times}10^{-2}$ mol/L respectively and the surface tensions at their CMC conditions were 26.09 mN/m and 28.68 mN/m respectively. Dynamic surface tension measurement has shown that the adsorption rate of surfactant molecules at the interface between air and surfactant solution was found to be relatively fast in both surfactant systems, presumably due to high mobility of surfactant molecules. The contact angles of PGLE and PGLE3 nonionic surfactants were $25.5^{\circ}$ and $9.5^{\circ}$ respectively. Dynamic interfacial tension measurement showed that both surfactant systems reached equilibrium in 20 minutes and the interfacial tensions at equilibrium condition in both systems were 0.42 mN/m and 0.53 mN/m respectively. The PGLE surfactant system has indicated higher foam stability than the PGLE3 surfactant system, which is consistent with surface tension measurement. The phase behavior experiments performed at $25{\sim}60^{\circ}C$ in systems containing nonionic surfactant, water, n-hydrocarbon oil and cosurfactant showed a lower phase or oil in water microemulsion in equilibrium with excess oil phase at all conditions investigated during this study.

This paper is a study on the evaluation of loss factor of damping treatment materials to reduce the noise and vibration for panels of railway vehicles and automobiles. In order to determine the modal parameters of damping materials, beam excitation tests were carried out using different type PVC coated aluminum and steel base beam specimens. The specimens were excited from 10 Hz to 1000 Hz frequency range using sinusoidal force, and transfer mobility data were measured by using an accelerometer. The loss factors were determined by using integrated program, based on theories of Half Power Method, Minimum Tangent Error Method, Minimum Angle Error Method and Phase Change Method, which enable to evaluate the parameters using modal circle fit and least squares error method. In the case of lower loss factor and data of linear characteristics, any method could be applied for evaluation of parameters, however the case of higher loss factor or data including non-linear characteristics, the minimum angle error method could reduce the loss factor evaluation. The obtained dynamic properties of the coating material could be used for application of Finite Element Method analyzing the noise control effects of complex structures such as carbody or under-floor boxes of rolling stock. The damping material will be very useful to control the structural noise, because the obtained modal loss factors of each mode show very good effect on over $2^{nd}$ mode frequency range.

Background: People's activities have been restricted due to the COVID-19 pandemic. These changes in activity patterns may lead to a decrease in fine particulate matter (PM2.5) concentrations. Additionally, the level of population exposure to PM2.5 may be changed. Objectives: This study aimed to analyze the impact of population movement and meteorological factors on the distribution of PM2.5 concentrations before and after the outbreak of COVID-19. Methods: The study area was Guro-gu in Seoul. The research period was selected as January to March 2020, a period of significant population movement changes caused by COVID-19. The evaluation of the dynamic population was conducted by calculating the absolute difference in population numbers between consecutive hours and comparing them to determine the daily average. Ambient PM2.5 concentrations were estimated for each grid using ordinary kriging in Python. For the population exposure assessment, the population-weighted average concentration was calculated by determining the indoor to outdoor population for each grid and applying the indoor to outdoor ratio to the ambient PM2.5 concentration. To assess the factors influencing changes in the ambient PM2.5 concentration, a statistical analysis was conducted, incorporating population mobility and meteorological factors. Results: Through statistical analysis, the correlation between ambient PM2.5 concentration and population movement was positive on both weekends and weekdays (r=0.71, r=0.266). The results confirmed that most of the relationships were positive, suggesting that a decrease in human activity can lead to a decrease in PM2.5 concentrations. In addition, when population-weighted concentration averages were calculated and the exposure level of the population group was compared before and after the COVID-19 outbreak, the proportion of people exceeding the air quality standard decreased by approximately 15.5%. Conclusions: Human activities can impact ambient concentrations of PM2.5, potentially altering the levels of PM2.5 exposure in the population.
Pressure ulcers are serious complications of tissue damage that can develop in patients with diminished pain sensation and diminished mobility. Pressure ulcers can result in irreversible tissue damage caused by ischemia resulting from external loading. There are many intrinsic and extrinsic contributors to the problem, including interface tissue pressure, shear, temperature, moisture, hygiene, nutrition, tissue tolerance, sensory and motor dysfunction, disease and infection, posture, and body support systems. The purposes of this study were to investigate the relationship between buttock interface pressure and seating position, wheelchair propulsion speed. Seated-interface pressure was measured using the Force Sensing Array pressure mapping system. Twenty subjects propelled wheelchair handrim on a motor-driven treadmill at different velocities (40, 60, 80 m/min) and seating position used recline ($100^{\circ}$, $110^{\circ}$, $120^{\circ}$) with a wheelchair simulator. Interface pressure consists of average (mean of the pressure sensor values) and maximum pressure (highest individual sensor value). The results of this study were as follows; No significant correlation in maximum/average pressure was found between a static position and a 40 m/min wheelchair propulsion (p>.05). However, a significant increase in maximum/average pressure were identified between conditions of a static position and 60 m/min, and 80 m/min wheelchair propulsion (p<.05). No significant correlation in maximum pressure were found between a $90^{\circ}$ recline (neutral position) and a $100^{\circ}$, $110^{\circ}$, or $120^{\circ}$ recline of the wheelchair back (p>.05). No significant difference in average pressure was found between conditions of a $90^{\circ}$ recline and both a $100^{\circ}$ and $110^{\circ}$ recline of wheelchair back. However, a significant reduction in average pressure was identified between conditions of a $90^{\circ}$ and $120^{\circ}$ recline of wheelchair back (p<.05). This study has shown some interesting results that reclining the seat by $120^{\circ}$ reduced average interface pressure, including the reduction or prevention in edema. And interface pressure was greater during dynamic wheelchair propulsion compared with static seating. Therefore, the optimal seating position and seating system ought to provide postural control and pressure relief. We need an education on optimal seating position and a suitable propulsion speeds for wheelchair users.

The southern region including Guangzhou(黃州), the capital of Guangdong Province, was called "South of the Mountain Range" (嶺南) because it is located south of the Five Mountain Ranges (五嶺) which made mobility difficult prior to unification of China by Qin dynasty (秦) in 221 BCE. The Guangdong region of the South of the Mountain Range (嶺南) was an administratively independent unit and, as such, called the Nanyue kingdom (南越國). This is the origin of the Chinese character "yue", and terms such as yueyu (Cantonese), yuecai (Cantonese cuisine), yueju (Cantonese opera) are still in use today. Guangzhou, called Panyu (番禹) during the Nanyue kingdom period, was settled early in the northern part of the Pearl River (珠江, Zhu Jiang) delta. It became the first port to open its doors to the great powers of the West during the Qing period. Although it has now fallen behind Shanghai which developed later, Guangzhou is still the third largest city after Beijing and Shanghai, and thus, it is an influential open coastal city. Today, not only is Guangzhou the world center of the light textile industry, it also spurs development in various manufacturing industries. Along with nearby Hong Kong, Macao, and Shenzhen, it plays the role of cradle of the Pearl River delta economic zone. Firmly established early on as the greatest central city in southern China, Guangzhou is simultaneously a hub in various aspects such as regional politics, economics, and culture; it was also the center of revolution and resistance which attempted to challenge the northern political powers. Guangzhou is known for the history of the rise and fall of its port, but with developmental efforts, it still maintains its influence. Guangzhou's dynamic development of today brings with it issues such as the environment and moral system which must be dealt with.
