A software platform for the next-generation, smart user-interface of mobile devices is described as in this paper. The proposed platform is developed to adapt new devices that may appear in the future through extending the Android platform. Dynamic loading function of software module is developed in order to download and install new software modules for the new devices. Also, platform technology for utilizing external devices to improve quality of service and dynamic switching of wireless interface to reduce power consumption of platform are developed.
In the present study, interfacial cracks between an isotropic and orthotropic material, subjected to static far field tensile loading are analyzed using the technique of photoelasticity. The fracture parameters are extracted from the full-field isochromatic data and the same are compared with that obtained using boundary collocation method. Dynamic photoelasticity combined with high-speed digital photography is employed for capturing the isochromatics in the case of propagating interfacial cracks. The normalized stress intensity factors for static cracks are greate. when ${\alpha}$: 90$^{\circ}$(fibers perpendicular to the interface) than when ${\alpha}$=0$^{\circ}$(fibers parallel to the interface), and those when ${\alpha}$=90$^{\circ}$are similar to ones of isotropic material. The dynamic stress intensity factors for interfacial propagating cracks are greater when ${\alpha}$=0$^{\circ}$ than ${\alpha}$=90$^{\circ}$. For the velocity ranges (0.1 < C/C$\sub$s1/<0.7) observed in this study, the complex dynamic stress intensity factor │K$\sub$D/│increases with crack speed c, however, the rate of increase of │K$\sub$D/│with crack speed is not as drastic as that reported for homogeneous materials.
Fault management of virtualized network environments using user-driven network provisioning systems (NPSs) is crucial for guaranteeing seamless virtual network services irrespective of physical infrastructure impairment. The network service interface (NSI) of the Open Grid Forum reflects the need for a common standard management API for the reservation and provisioning of user-driven virtual circuits (VCs) across global networks. NSI-based NPSs (that is, network service agents) can be used to compose user-driven VCs for mission-critical applications in a dynamic multi-domain. In this article, we first attempt to outline the design issues and challenges faced when attempting to provide mission-critical applications using dynamic VCs with a protection that is both user-driven and trustworthy in a dynamic multi-domain environment, to motivate work in this area of research. We also survey representative works that address inter-domain VC protection and qualitatively evaluate them and current NSI against the issues and challenges.
In this study, local dynamic characteristics of mountable PZT interfaces are numerically analyzed to verify their feasibility on impedance monitoring of the prestress-loss in tendon anchorage subsystems. Firstly, a prestressed tendon-anchorage system with mountable PZT interfaces is described. Two types of mountable interfaces which are different in geometric and boundary conditions are designed for impedance monitoring in the tendon-anchorage subsystems. Secondly, laboratory experiments are performed to evaluate the impedance monitoring via the two mountable PZT interfaces placed on the tendon-anchorage under the variation of prestress forces. Impedance features such as frequency-shifts and root-mean-square-deviations are quantified for the two PZT interfaces. Finally, local dynamic characteristics of the two PZT interfaces are numerically analyzed to verify their performances on impedance monitoring at the tendon-anchorage system. For the two PZT interfaces, the relationships between structural parameters and local vibration responses are examined by modal sensitivity analyses.
Input devices of wearable computer are difficult to use, so a lot of alternative pointing devices have been considered in recent years. In order to resolve this problem, this paper proposed a dynamic gain control method which is able to improve the performance of wearable pointing device and showed an experimental result comparing this method with conventional method. Also the effects of methods were compared in terms of device (wearable and desktop). The result of calculating throughputs(index of performance) by Fitts' law showed that the pointing performance in dynamic gain condition was improved 1.4 times more than normal gain.
This paper is concerned with the dynamic analysis of simply-supported steel-concrete composite beams under moving loads. Considering the interface slip between steel girder and concrete slab, the governing motion equations are derived from the direct balanced method. By variable separation approach, the analytical solution of natural frequencies and mode shapes are obtained, as well as the orthogonal conditions. Then the dynamic responses of the composite beam under moving loads are analyzed, and compared with the experimental results. The analysis results show that the governing motion equations become more complicated when interface slip is taken into account, and the dynamic behaviors are significantly influenced by the shear connection stiffness. In the dynamic calculation of composite beams, the global stiffness should not be reduced as the same factor to all orders, but as different ones according to the dynamic stiffness reduction factor (DSRF), to which should be paid more attention in calculation, design and experiment, or else great deviation is inevitable.
Nowadays, geosynthetics for reinforcement and protection are widely applied to the waste landfill site. Current research indicates the potential for progressive failure in geosynthetic-soil system depends on the interface shear strength governed by several intrinsic factors such as moisture, normal stress, chemical, etc. In particular, the effect of the acidity and basicity from the leachate is intensively reviewed to assess the chemical reaction mechanism of interface shear strength under the cyclic loading condition. New multi-purpose interface apparatus(M-PIA) has been manufactured and the cyclic direct shear tests using submerged geosynthetics and soils under the different chemical conditions have been performed, consequently, the thickness of interface and shear stress degradation are verified. The basic schematic of the Disturbed State Concept(DSC) is employed to estimate the shear stress degradation in the interface, then, normalized disturbed function is obtained and analyzed to describe the shear stress degradation of geosynthetic-soil interface with chemical influence factors under dynamic condition.
This paper proposes a three-dimensional haptotaxis model to simulate the migration of the population of cancer cells. The invasion of the cancer cells relates with the hapto- and the effect of the energy between cells and (ECM). The diffuse interface model is employed, which incorporates haptotaxis mechanism and interface energies. The semi-implicit Fourier spectral scheme is adopted for efficient complications. The simulation results reveal rich dynamics of cancer cells migration.

The needs for the utilization of space in the urban ara due to the increasing population and traffic volume. A Double-deck tunnel can be an appropriate solution. Geosynthetics are inevitably installed between ground and tunnel lining, therefore, geosynthetic-soil interface is also comprises. Dynamic shear behavior of geosynthetic-soil interface affects the dynamic behavior of tunnel, and experimental study is required since the behavior is very complicated. In this study, chemical factors such as acid and basic element in the groundwater and temperature are considered in the laboratory test. Multi-purpose Interface Apparatus(M-PIA) is utilized and submerging periods are 60 and 960 days. Consequently, dynamic shear degradation of geosynthetic-soil interface considering chemical and thermal factors are verified.
