Keywords and Spatial Based Indexing for Searching the Things on Web

  • The number of interconnected real-world devices such as sensors, actuators, and physical devices has increased with the advancement of technology. Due to this advancement, users face difficulties searching for the location of these devices, and the central issue is the findability of Things. In the WoT environment, keyword-based and geospatial searching approaches are used to locate these devices anywhere and on the web interface. A few static methods of indexing and ranking are discussed in the literature, but they are not suitable for finding devices dynamically. The authors have proposed a mechanism for dynamic and efficient searching of the devices in this paper. Indexing and ranking approaches can improve dynamic searching in different ways. The present paper has focused on indexing for improving dynamic searching and has indexed the Things Description in Solr. This paper presents the Things Description according to the model of W3C JSON-LD along with the open-access APIs. Search efficiency can be analyzed with query response timings, and the accuracy of response timings is critical for search results. Therefore, in this paper, the authors have evaluated their approach by analyzing the search query response timings and the accuracy of their search results. This study utilized different indexing approaches such as key-words-based, spatial, and hybrid. Results indicate that response time and accuracy are better with the hybrid approach than with keyword-based and spatial indexing approaches.

  • 임베디드 응용프로그램 개발의 적시성(time-to-market)을 위해, 기존 임베디드 응용프로그램의 재사용 기법과 각기 다른 플랫폼에 인터페이스 시켜주는 인터페이스용 미들웨어에 대한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 인터페이스용 미들웨어 연구로서 기존의 MT 프로젝트, Xenomai, Legacy2linux 기술들은 미들웨어에서 제공되는 API가 특정 운영체제에 종속되거나 API의 확장성을 제공하지 못한다는 한계점이 있다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 임베디드 시스템 인터페이스용 미들웨어는 운영체제에 대한 종속성을 제거하여 다양한 운영체제를 지원한다. 또한, 미들웨어의 확장 및 동적 재구성이 가능한 컴포넌트 기반 구조로 설계되어, 자원 제한적인 임베디드 시스템에서 응용프로그램을 효율적으로 실행시킬 수 있다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 미들웨어의 추가에 따른 응용프로그램의 실행 지연은 미들웨어 API의 실행 시 최소 $0.3{\mu}sec$에서 최대 $5{\mu}sec$ 정도이며, 이는 응응프로그램의 실행 성능에 큰 영향을 주지 않을 것으로 판단된다.

흙-구조물 경계면의 동역학적해석을 위한 교란상태 모델링 (Disturbed State Modeling for Dynamic Analysis of Soil-Structure Interface)

  • 본 연구에서 흙(사질토)-구조물의 경계면에 대한 거동특성을 분석하기 위하여 교란상태개념(DSC)을 수정 및 보완하였다. 제안한 DSC모델에서는 변형중인 재료는 상대적으로 손상되지 않은 상태(RI)와 완전 파괴된 상태(FA)가 혼합되어있다는 가정에 기초를 두고 있다. RI 상태는 HiSS모델을 이용하였고, FA 상태는 한계상태모델을 이용하였다. 이런 DSC 모델을 Biot이론에 기초한 기존 유한요소 프로그램에 접목하였다. 본 연구에서 수저한 유한요소 프로그램을 이용하여 실제 경계면 실험(두 가지 하중조건: 정하중, 동하중)에 대하여 모의실험을 수행하였다. 또한 그 결과와 실내시험결과를 비교 검토하였다. DSC모델을 이용한 유한요소해석은 실제 실내시험 결과와 유사한 경향을 보였다. 본 연구의 결과를 통하여, DSC모델을 흙-구조물 경계면 해석에 비교적 합리적인 결과를 제공한다고 판단된다.

디지털전관방송시스템을 위한 오디오믹서의 직관적인 사용자 인터페이스 및 제어 소프트웨어 개발 (The development of Intuitive User Interface and Control Software for Audio Mixer in Digital PA System)

  • 본 논문에서는 디지털 전관방송용 제어기를 구동시키기 위한 직관적인 사용자 인터페이스 소프트웨어의 구현 결과와 오디오믹서 제어 부분에 대한 성능을 확인할 수 있다. 개발된 사용자 인터페이스 소프트웨어는 디지털 하이브리드 믹서의 유지관리 및 제어기능을 제공한다. 통합제어서버에 탑재되어 오디오 믹서인 TAD-168M의 음향상태등을 제어하고 전관방송 통합시스템에 대한 단말기의 상태를 모니터링할 수 있다. 또한, 통합관리까지 가능한 프로그램 소프트웨어로써 향후 지속적인 업그레이드가 가능하다. 개발된 소프트웨어는 이더넷으로 TAD-168M과 연결되고 운영 PC와의 통신을 위해 PC의 랜포트와 TAD-168M의 후면에 위치한 4 포트 스위치에 랜케이블로 연결된다. 기존에 없었던 개발 시스템을 통해 방송시스템에 대한 시스템 관리, 음향제어, 상향방송 제어의 통합제어가 가능하게 되었다.

  • Nonvolatile semiconductor memory devices with reoxidized nitrided oxide(RONO) gate dielectrics were fabricated, and nitrogen distribution and bonding species which contribute to memory characteristics were analyzed. Also, memory characteristics of devices depending on the anneal temperatures were investigated. The devices were fabricated by retrograde twin well CMOS processes with $0.35{\mu}m$ Nonvolatile semiconductor memory devices with reoxidized nitrided oxide(RONO) gate dielectric were fabricated, and nitrogen distribution and bonding species which contributing memory characteristics were analyzed. Also, memory characteristics of devices according to anneal temperatures were investigated. The devices were fabricated by $0.35{\mu}m$ retrograde twin well CMOS processes. The processes could be simple by in-situ process of nitridation anneal and reoxidation. The nitrogen distribution and bonding state of gate dielectric were investigated by Dynamic Secondary Ion Mass Spectrometry(D-SIMS), Time-of-Flight Secondary Ion Mass Spectrometry(ToF-SIMS), and X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy(XPS). Nitrogen concentrations are proportional to nitridation anneal temperatures and the more time was required to form the same reoxidized layer thickness. ToF-SIMS results show that SiON species are detected at the initial oxide interface and $Si_{2}NO$ species near the new $Si-SiO_{2}$ interface that formed after reoxidation. As the anneal temperatures increased, the device showed worse retention and degradation properties. These could be said that nitrogen concentration near initial interface is limited to a certain quantity, so excess nitrogen are redistributed near the $Si-SiO_{2}$ interface and contributed to electron trap generation.

항공기 관제 디스플레이의 생태학적 인터페이스 디자인에 관한 연구 (Ecological Interface Design for Air Traffic Control Display)

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate an effect of the new air traffic control display designed by Ecological Interface Design [EID]. The methodology of EID has not been applied to the development of the air traffic control display so far. To design a new air traffic control display by EID, We implemented Work Domain Analysis about the air traffic control domain and made the Work Domain Model that consisted of the five levels of the Abstraction Hierarchy. We extracted the Information Requirement from the completed Work Domain Model and the extracted information requirements from the model were used to design the new air traffic control display. We evaluated an effect of the new air traffic control display designed by EID. Participants for evaluating consisted of 14 active military air traffic controller of the Republic of Korea Air Force. Experiment was designed two factors within subject. Factors manipulated in the experiment included displays type to compare the existing type with the new ecological interface type and included complexity to compare the effect of the high complex situation with the effect of the low complex situation. Response time about questions with relation to air traffic collision situation, accuracy, and subjective work load were measured. The results reveled that EID type's display has a significant effect on response time, accuracy, and subjective work load and verified that EID could be applied to the air traffic control domain that is more complex and dynamic.

  • 이 연구에서는 P-MOS 커패시터에 Co $u^{60}$-${\gamma}$선을 조사한 후 조사선량 및 산화막 두께에 따른 전하의 거동을 고찰하고자 1[MHz]의 고주파 신호에서 정전용량-전압(C-V) 특성 및 유전손실계수-전압(D-V)특성을 측정하였다. C-V 특성에서 플랫밴드 전압과 문턱전압을 구하여 이들 파라메타와 D-V 특성의 피크와의 관련성을 검토하였다. C-V 특성이 P-MOS 커패시터의 정상상태의 전하의 거동 및 계면 상태특성을 해석하기가 편리하고 D-V 특성은 C-V 특성보다 산화막 내부의 공간전하분포와 계면상태의 밑도 등을 더 명확하게 파악할 수 있으며 산화막내 캐리어의 전도철상에 관한 미시적 전하 거동의 고찰에도 편리함이 확인되었다.

Ni Nanoparticle-Graphene Oxide Composites for Speedy and Efficient Removal of Cr(VI) from Wastewater

  • In this study, Ni nanoparticle supported by graphene oxide (GO) (Ni-GO) is successfully synthesized through hydrothermal synthesis and calcination, and Cr(VI) is extracted from aqueous solution. The morphology and structure of Ni-GO composites are characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), trans mission electron microscopy (TEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). High-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM) and XRD confirms the high dispersion of Ni nanoparticle after support by GO. Loading Ni on GO can obviously enhance the stability of Ni-GO composites. It can be calculated from TGA that the mass percentage of Ni is about 60.67 %. The effects of initial pH and reaction time on Cr(VI) removal ability of Ni-GO are investigated. The results indicate that the removal efficiency of Cr(VI) is greater than that of bared GO. Ni-GO shows fast removal capacity for Cr(VI) (<25 min) with high removal efficiency. Dynamic experiments show that the removal process conforms to the quasi-second order model of adsorption, which indicates that the rate control step of the removal process is chemical adsorption. The removal capacity increases with the increase of temperature, indicating that the reaction of Cr(VI) on Ni-GO composites is endothermic and spontaneous. Combined with tests and characterization, the mechanism of Cr(VI) removal by rapidly adsorption on the surface of Ni-GO and reduction by Ni nanoparticle is investigated. The above results show that Ni-GO can be used as a potential remediation agent for Cr(VI)-contaminated groundwater.

휠체어 추진속도 및 등받이 경사각도에 따른 둔부 압력 변화 특성 (Characteristics of the Buttock Interface Pressure According to Wheelchair Propulsion Speed and Various Back Reclined Seating Position)

  • Pressure ulcers are serious complications of tissue damage that can develop in patients with diminished pain sensation and diminished mobility. Pressure ulcers can result in irreversible tissue damage caused by ischemia resulting from external loading. There are many intrinsic and extrinsic contributors to the problem, including interface tissue pressure, shear, temperature, moisture, hygiene, nutrition, tissue tolerance, sensory and motor dysfunction, disease and infection, posture, and body support systems. The purposes of this study were to investigate the relationship between buttock interface pressure and seating position, wheelchair propulsion speed. Seated-interface pressure was measured using the Force Sensing Array pressure mapping system. Twenty subjects propelled wheelchair handrim on a motor-driven treadmill at different velocities (40, 60, 80 m/min) and seating position used recline ($100^{\circ}$, $110^{\circ}$, $120^{\circ}$) with a wheelchair simulator. Interface pressure consists of average (mean of the pressure sensor values) and maximum pressure (highest individual sensor value). The results of this study were as follows; No significant correlation in maximum/average pressure was found between a static position and a 40 m/min wheelchair propulsion (p>.05). However, a significant increase in maximum/average pressure were identified between conditions of a static position and 60 m/min, and 80 m/min wheelchair propulsion (p<.05). No significant correlation in maximum pressure were found between a $90^{\circ}$ recline (neutral position) and a $100^{\circ}$, $110^{\circ}$, or $120^{\circ}$ recline of the wheelchair back (p>.05). No significant difference in average pressure was found between conditions of a $90^{\circ}$ recline and both a $100^{\circ}$ and $110^{\circ}$ recline of wheelchair back. However, a significant reduction in average pressure was identified between conditions of a $90^{\circ}$ and $120^{\circ}$ recline of wheelchair back (p<.05). This study has shown some interesting results that reclining the seat by $120^{\circ}$ reduced average interface pressure, including the reduction or prevention in edema. And interface pressure was greater during dynamic wheelchair propulsion compared with static seating. Therefore, the optimal seating position and seating system ought to provide postural control and pressure relief. We need an education on optimal seating position and a suitable propulsion speeds for wheelchair users.

DWM: 이기종 클러스터 시스템의 동적 자원 관리자 (A Dynamic Work Manager for Heterogeneous Cluster Systems)

  • 고속 네트워크를 통해 연결된 다수의 컴퓨터를 호환성 있는 통신 라이브러리를 활용하여 병렬처리를 수행하는 클러스터 컴퓨팅은 가격대 성능비에서 장점을 가지며 다양한 응용분야에서 실용화되고 있다. 이기종 클러스터 환경에서는 클러스터 시스템을 구성하는 개별 노드의 성능이 직접적인 영향을 주기 때문에 효율적인 자원 관리가 매우 중요하다. 본 논문에서는 DWM(Dynamic Work Manager)라 불리우는 동적 자원 관리자를 제안한다. DWM은 성능이 다른 이기종 클러스터 시스템에서 각 노드의 자원을 충분하게 활용할 수 있도록 설계되었다. DWM을 사용하여 다양한 벤치마크 프로그램을 클러스터 시스템에서 실행시켜 봄으로써 DWM의 성능과 프로그램의 복잡도를 측정한다. 실험 결과로부터 DWM의 사용은 이기종 클러스터 시스템의 성능을 효율적으로 활용하는 동시에 MPI 병렬처리 프로그램의 작성을 용이하게 함을 알 수 있다.
