Satellites provide a lot of information and essay roles in the areas of defense and space observations. The precise distances to the satellites are measured by emitting and retro-reflecting a laser. For such surveys, satellite laser ranging (SLR) systems have been developed in different forms and for different areas. The structural integrity of the tracking mount is essential for it to be able to track a high-speed satellite precisely, overcoming the various external and internal disturbances and operating conditions. In this study, the analysis of a tracking mount was performed for weight, wind loads, and inertia loads in order to verify its soundness. The results of the comparison between aluminum and steel were analyzed in order to select the optimal material for the fork and main housing part. In addition, the natural frequency and mode shape were predicted. Optimal material selection and structural integrity will also be verified using static analysis.

The study was to investigate the effect of the environmental factor on the emotion and satisfaction at the waiting lounge of the international cruise terminal. The results of the study were found as follows: first, the physical environmental factor of the lounge influenced on the positive emotion. Second, the social factor affected the positive emotion. Finally, emotion affected the positive satisfaction. This study suggested that environmental factor was totally affected by emotion and thus environmental management depended on an individual characteristics of the individual place. The port authority will need more efforts to make a better waiting lounge setting for higher tourist satisfaction.

This study aims to analyze economic impacts for changes in the oil cost of the anchovy boat seine fisheries in South Korea. As analytical approach, this study employs the exponential surplus production model to estimate the maximum sustainable yield and also utilizes the bioeconomic model to calculate changes in producer surplus of the anchovy boat seine fisheries under the open access responding to changes in the oil cost. As the result of analysis, increases in the oil cost due to prohibition of duty-free oil supply result in the negative impacts to the producer surplus of the anchovy boat seine fisheries in South Korea. However, increases in the oil cost of the anchovy boat seine fisheries lead voluntary exit to fishermen which can no more run their business. As a result, this study shows that fishing efforts of the anchovy boat seine fisheries reduce under the fishing efforts of the maximum sustainable yield ($F_{MSY}$) and stock of the anchovy increases.

Light-emitting diodes (LEDs) based on III-nitrides compound semiconductors have achieved a high performance device available for display and illumination sector. However, the conventional c-plane oriented LED structures are still showing several problems given by the quantum confined Stark effect (QCSE) due to the effects of strong piezoelectric and spontaneous polarizations. The QCSE results in spatial separation of electron and hole wavefunctions in quantum wells, thereby decreasing the internal quantum efficiency and red-shifting the emission wavelength. Due to demands for improvement of device performance, nonpolar structure has been attracting attentions, since the quantum wells grown on nonpolar templates are free from the QCSE. However, current device performance for nonpolar LEDs is still lower than those for conventional LEDs. In this study, we discuss the potential possibilities of nonpolar LEDs for commercialization. In this study, we characterized current-light output power relation of the a-plane InGaN/GaN LEDs structures with the variation of quantum well structures. On-wafer electroluminescence measurements were performed with short pulse (10 us) and low duty factor (1 %) conditions applied for eliminating thermal effects. The well and barrier widths, and indium compositions in quantum well structures were changed to analyze the efficiency droop phenomenon.

It is only 9 to 10 years since the use of internet became commercial. But electronic commerce is now a familiar form of commercial transaction. Though the ratio of electronic commerce compared to total commercial transaction is still low, it is certain that electronic commerce will be the major form of transactions in the future. In July 1, 1997, United States made a public "A Framework for Global Electronic Commerce" to set up Internet to be a duty free zone and declared to play the trigger role in getting the international discussion of "A Framework for Global Electronic Commerce". In July 8, 1997, EU also adopted "Bonn Declaration"-minimizing government regulations and imposing no new tax on electronic commerce. Focusing the international trend, we need to develop the tax policy that is suitable for our country situation as soon as we can. To be able to do that, we must make an endless effort like selecting professionals, making new administrative part and supporting the research.

The GyeongNam Province is one of the regions that have first introduced chrysanthemum farming in Korea since the 1960s. The chrysanthemum growers of The GyeongNam Province had strong competitiveness in production and marketing, so the their income ratios were relatively higher than any other growers of other provinces. The income ratio of The GyeongNam Province, however, has continuously decreased and stays currently below ratios of other provinces. The purpose of this paper is to find out which factors have contributed to the decrease in income ratio of GyeongNam Province. The analysis indicates that the increase in production cost was the main causes of rapid drop in income ratio. It is also worth mentioning that the income ratio falls dramatically when oil price (duty-free oil) rises above 700 won per liter.

This study reviews the progress of maquiladora industry in Mexico and the development of the IMMEX program. The maquiladora program allows foreign-invested factories in Mexico to import raw materials and components duty free and to export the finished products to the U.S. It contributed to the increase in employment and population of border cities. Low wage level of Mexico induced not only standardized labor-intensive industries but also the high-tech automated industries requiring assembly process. In 2006, the Mexican government merged the maquiladora program and PITEX for Mexican export-oriented firms into a single new program, the IMMEX program, in order to promote exports more efficiently. This study presents the distributions of the IMMEX firms by industrial sector and by region. It is revealed that transport equipment sector leads the export industries in Mexico, and Tijuana and Juárez accommodate largest agglomerations of the IMMEX firms.

The purpose of this study is to obtain a comprehensive understanding of the experiences of shift nurses who are pregnant while on duty. The specific research question is, 'What is the meaning of pregnancy experienced by a shift nurse?' For this study, six nurses with experience working at a general hospital while pregnant participated. Data was collected through individual in-depth interviews and analyzed by van Manen's phenomenological methodology. The result of the study uncovered 8 themes and 4 essential themes. The essential themes were 'Difficulty feeling free to conceive'; 'Becoming more conscious of coworkers'; 'Concern about the health of the fetus'; and 'Requirement for effective measures.' The results of this study are significant in providing a convergent understanding of the pregnancy experiences of shift nurses.

Nowadays, based on the 4th Industrial Revolution, by using the CHATGPT function and 3D virtual reality technology, anyone can easily open a virtual environment WEB-based, smart tourism OPEN source and travel destination without having to directly visit the travel location in the real world. Using the API function, it provides the convenience of virtual tourism. However, this function does not work if the travel transportation system is suddenly changed due to sudden bad weather, travel operation information cannot be checked in real time, and due to a lack of flight cancellation information and passenger ship operation information, it cannot be used until the plane or ferry departs normally. A very inconvenient problem arises where you have to wait a long time in the waiting room. Therefore, in this paper, in order to solve this problem, automatic duty-free product information and automatic product payment functions were added even when passenger ship cancellations and operation information suddenly occur due to bad weather and multiple products are purchased during the trip. In addition, the computer simulation experiment was conducted on a WEB basis so that anyone can conveniently travel smartly.
