포도 흰송이 증상과 관련된 Hanseniaspora(Kloeckera) sp.의 분리 및 동정 (Identification of Hanseniaspora(Kloeckera) sp. Related with White Dusty Symptom of the Grape)

  • 최근 수년간 김천지역 대부분의 포도 과수원에 심하게 발생되었던 일명 '흰송이' 증상을 나타내는 흰가루의 주 미생물은 포도 표면에 존재하면서 포도주 발효시 중요한 문제를 일으키는 효모균 Hanseniaspora (Kloeckera) sp.으로 동정되었으며, 이러한 증상의 발생은 과도하게 사용된 당분과 관련이 있을 것으로 생각된다.

전기집진기형 공기청정기의 미세 먼지 저감 특성에 관한 연구 (Characteristics of the Reduction of Fine Particles in an Indoor Air Cleaner Using Electrostatic Precipitation Technique)

  • An indoor air cleaner consisting of a dielectric barrier discharge system and an electrostatic precipitator (ESP) was experimentally investigated. The function of the dielectric barrier discharge is to precharge particles by producing nonthermal plasma before indoor air enters ESP, leading to an enhancement in dust collection efficiency. The dependence of particle size distribution on the plasma discharge was examined to understand the mechanism of the particle precharging. The plasma discharge was found to increase the electrical force of the particles, rather than agglomerate them. Coarse particles in the range of 0.5 to $5.0{\mu}m$ were observed to be easily collected by this indoor air cleaner, and the present study laid emphasis on the removal of fine particles of $0.3{\mu}m$. The collection efficiency of the fine particles was largely enhanced by the plasma discharge.

작업환경개선을 위한 석재연마공정에 있어서의 다축마석연마장치 개발 (- Development of the multi axis whetstone system in the stone polishing process for the work environment improvement -)

  • A multi axis whetstone polishing system, which uses the flow system of the stone polishing machine head, has been developed. The test results show that the defect by line contact polishing does not occur in both ends of the stone and that it came to trim smoothly. In terms of the surface roughness, the corresponding index was decreased by 3.6 times, improving the polishing effect greatly. It decreased significantly the dust and noise with the wet polishing. The factors of the duty evasion at production site can thus be solved with the work environment improvement against the polishing process of the stone industry and work intensive reduction.

  • Aerodynamic characteristics, such as drag and lift, play an important role in automobile design under certain speed conditions. Such characteristics are essential to design an automobile since they are directly related to automobile's performance such as passenger safety and fuel consumption. There is a huge demand for the automobile to have safe performance at high speed. Reduction in drag is also important and it could lead to the solution of air flow induced noise and dust problems. The objective of this research is to find out the aerodynamic differences between conventional side mirror and a modified one using CFD. Although drag generated around a side mirror is only about 7% of the total drag when a car runs, it is very closely related to driver's field of vision and noise generation. CFD simulation of the flowfield around a car side-view mirror was performed using a commercial code; Gambit and FLUENT.

차세대전동차용 직접구동전동기 개발 (Development of Direct Drive Motor for Next Generation Train)

  • As a drive system for next generation train, we have been making research and development of a direct drive traction motor system without the conventional reduction gear. This traction motor is expected to have many advantages such as low noise, reduced maintenance, and energy saving. Due to the demand for high-output motors in the limited space between the wheels, open-ventilating traction motors with gear box have been widely used for many years. However, a conventional open-ventilating traction motor is necessary periodical disassembly to remove the accumulated dust from open-air ventilation. Reducing this burden, as well as increasing energy efficiency and reducing noise, would benefit the next generation of traction motors. To address these needs, KRRI have been developing a fully enclosed type direct drive motor(DDM) with high-efficiency permanent magnet for the next generation train.

  • This paper is to investigate the mixture proportion, compressive strength and drying. shrinkage of concrete depending on mineral admixtures such as fly ash (FA), blast furnace slag (BS) and cement kiln dust (CKD) under various contents of admixtures. The use of CKD had little effect on strength development at 3 days, while the use of FA and BS lead to similar compressive strength compared with that of control concrete. Concrete with CKD exhibited a reduction of compressive strength at 91 days, meanwhile concrete with FA and BS had a increase compared with that of control concrete. Drying shrinkage of concrete depending on CKD and BS increase compared with that of control concrete about $10\∼20\%$, while the use of FA exhibited reduce compared with that of control concrete about $10\∼15\%$.

  • Due to the rapid deterioration of the domestic atmosphere, people are suffering from inconveniences such as wearing fine dust masks all the time during outdoor activities. In this study, light transmitting concrete, LEFC(Light Emotion Friendly Concrete), using TiO2 photocatalyst was produced. Since the characteristics of LEFC where acrylic rods are inserted require self-consolidating performance, the purpose was to utilize UHPC(Ultra High Performance Concrete) materials to obtain high-flowability. Further, the compressive strength and flexural strength were evaluated to prevent the reduction of epidemiological performance by utilizing UHPC materials. As such, a basic study was carried out to develop LEFC materials using photocatalyst that can purify the air and stimulate human sensibility.

  • In this paper, we studied the analysis of environmental effects on maximum output power change of crystalline silicon photovoltaic module. During the test period, there was a 5% reduction of maximum output power on an average. And the degree of output power uniformity became better compared to initial value. Using climate data like rain, snow and dust, we tried to find the reasons for maximum power fluctuation. The surface of PV module was monitored using microscope and infrared camera to study temperature distribution. The further analysis is described in the following paper.

  • Recent public concern about air pollution caused by swine production facilities has forced to develop the methods to reduce and control the swine odors. Swine odors were affected the life of pig farm neighborhoods, swine productivity, pig health, diseases, and human right, safety, sanity as negatively. The first approaches of control of swine odors are the change or improve of the classical management systems, which are manure treatment method, manure storage facility, phase feeding, sex-divided feeding, feeder type, liquid-slurry feeding, environment control of swine building and dust control of indoor swine facility. The methods to control odor emission from manure have to include the diet modification as nutritional basis. In recent, research emphasis has focused on manipulating the swine diet to increase the nutrient utilization of the diet to reduce excretion products and reduction of odors. There are lots of feed additives and pit additives introduced as practical basis for reducing odor emissions. The ozone treatment method is candidate as the good system for reducing swine odor. But this system is still too expensive to practice in present.
