Polar coded cooperative with Plotkin construction and quasi-uniform puncturing based on MIMO antennas in half duplex wireless relay network

  • Recently, polar code has attracted the attention of many scholars and has been developed as a code technology in coded-cooperative communication. We propose a polar code scheme based on Plotkin structure and quasi-uniform punching (PC-QUP). Then we apply the PC-QUP to coded-cooperative scenario and built to a new coded-cooperative scheme, which is called PCC-QUP scheme. The coded-cooperative scheme based on polar code is studied on the aspects of codeword construction and performance optimization. Further, we apply the proposed schemes to space-time block coding (STBC) to explore the performance of the scheme. Monte Carlo simulation results show that the proposed cooperative PCC-QUP-STBC scheme can obtain a lower bit error ratio (BER) than its corresponding noncooperative scheme.

  • The helical periodicity of the triple-stranded $(dT)_n{\cdot}(dA)_n{\cdot}(dT)_n$ sequence was determined by measuring gel-mobilities of bent DNA fragments containing the sequence. In the bent DNA fragments, a $GA_{22}G$ $CT_{22}C$ sequence was located between two bent DNA loci composed of six $A_{6}{\cdot}T_{6}$ repeats. and the DNA length between the bent DNA loci was varied by 1 base pair over a full helical turn. The gel mobility of each bent DNA fragment reflected the overall extent of DNA bending and varied with the DNA length between the two bent loci. Mobilities of the bent DNA fragments in 5% polyacrylamide gel were measured after preincubating the DNA fragments both in the presence and absence of $CT_{22}C$ oligonucleotide. By comparing the bent DNA fragments containing an intermolecular triplex structure with those of a genuine duplex structure in the gel mobilities, the helical periodicity of the $T_n{\cdot}A_n{\cdot}T_n$ triplex DNA was determined to be $11.5({\pm}0.3)bp/turn$.

A Shared Channel Design for the Power and Signal Transfers of Electric-field Coupled Power Transfer Systems

  • Electric-field coupled power transfer (ECPT) systems have been proposed as an alternative wireless power transfer (WPT) technology in recent years. With the use of capacitive plates as a coupling structure, ECPT systems have many advantages such as design flexibility, reduced volume of the coupling structure and metal penetration ability. In addition, wireless communications are effective solutions to improve the safety and controllability of ECPT systems. This paper proposes a power and signal shared channel for electric-field coupled power transfer systems. The shared channel includes two similar electrical circuits with a band pass filter and a signal detection resistor in each. This is designed based on the traditional current-fed push-pull topology. An analysis of the mutual interference between the power and signal transmission, the channel power and signal attenuations, and the dynamic characteristic of the signal channel are conducted to determine the values for the electrical components of the proposed shared channel. Experimental results show that the designed channel can transfer over 100W of output power and data with a data rate from 300bps to 120 kbps.

  • This paper proposes Echo canceller used in simultaneous two-way ('full-duplex') transmission of data signals over two-wire circuits which can be achieved by using a hybrid coupler. This Echo canceller uses sequential processing instead of parallel processing with conventional adaptive digital filter. This structure reduces the number of multipliers. Thus, this structure is much more suitable for IC implementation. This Echo canceller operates according to the 'Stochastic Iteration Algorithm(SIA).' SIA algorithm has merit of good performance and small hardware requirement.

  • Bacteriophage T4 endonuclease V initiates the repair of ultraviolet (UV)-induced pyrimidine dimer photoproducts in duplex DNA. The mechanism of DNA strand cleavage involves four sequential stens: linear diffusion along dsDNA, pyrimidine dimer-specific binding,l pyrimidine dimer-DNA glycosylase activity, and Af lyase activity. Although crystal structure is known for this enzyme, solution structure has not been yet known. In order to elucidate the solution structure of this enzyme NMR spectroscopy was used. As a basis for the NMR peak assignment of the protein, HSQC spectrum was obtained on the uniformly $\^$15/N-labeled T4 endonuclease V. Each amide peak of the spectrum were classified according to amino acid spin systems by interpreting the spectrum of $\^$15/N amino acid-specific labeled T4 endonuclease V. The assignment was mainly obtained from three-dimensional NMR spectra such as 3D NOESY-HMQC, 3D TOCSY-HMQC. These experiments were carried out will uniformly $\^$15/N-labeled sample. In order to assign tile resonance of backbon atom, triple-resonance theree-dimensional NMR experiments were also performed using double labeled($\^$15/N$\^$13/C) sample. 3D HNCA, HN(CO)CA, HNCO, HN(CA)HA spectra were recorded for this purpose. The results of assignments were used to interpret the interaction of this enzyme with DNA. HSQC spectrum was obtained for T4 endonuclease V with specific $\^$15/N-labeled amino acids that have been known for important residue in catalysis. By comparing the spectrum of enzyme*DNA complex with that of the enzyme, we could confirm the important role of some residues of Thr, Arg, Tyr in activity. The results of assignments were also used to predict the secondary structure by chemical shift index (CSI).

  • In this paper, we will design a 800MHz broadband antenna after a problem of the narrow bandwidth is improved. This multiple band antenna unifies the CDMA(Code Division Multiple Access), GSM(Global System for Mobile telecommunication) and TRS(Trunked Radio System) band in the UHF bandwidth, and then it is possible at the shore base station or repeater as the commercial use. It used the duplex resonance effect It had the L-shaped feeding structure which adds the V-slot. And it improved profit using stack structure. It was measured that the frequency bandwidth of the designed antenna which is planed $792{\sim}1040MHz$ with 248MHz(33%). And the antenna gain is 9.4dBi, 3dB beam width $60^{\circ}$ in radiation pattern.

  • In this paper, we have designed microstrip antenna if 800[MHz] band It will be able to integrate TRS(Trunked Radio System), GSM(Global System for Mobile telecommunication) band including the CDMA(Code Division Multiple Access) band we designed repeater and a base station antenna which is possible at the ship and marine of safety. It is improves a narrow bandwidth problem of microstrip antenna. It had U-shaped feeding structure at a rectangular patch And ground or feeding structure used between dielectric constant(${\varepsilon}_T$ = 2.1), patch or feeding structure used between dielectric constant(${\varepsilon}_T$ =1). So it used a duplex resonance effect Designed frequency bandwith(V5WR 2:1) if the antenna showed good characteristic of $780[MHz]{\sim}1.83[GHz]$ to 2.61[GHz]. Also the E-plan and H-plan all profit 9.4[dBi] above, the 3[dB] beam width showed the characteristic over the E-plan and H-plan $60^{\circ}$ to be improved.

DNA Binding Mode of the Isoquinoline Alkaloid Berberine with the Deoxyoligonucleotide d(GCCGTCGTTTTACA)2

  • The ability of protoberberine alkaloids, berberine and berberrubine, to act as topoisomerase II poisons is linked to the anti-cancer activity. Minor alterations in structure have a significant effect on their relative activity. Berberine, which has methoxy group at the 19-position, is significantly less potent than berberrubine. Several observations support non-specific binding to HP14 by the berberine: (i) nonspecific upfield changes in $^1H$ chemical shift for protons of the berberine; (ii) the broadening of imino protons of HP14 upon binding of the berberine; (iii) very small increases in duplex melting temperature in the presence of the berberine. Our results reveal that substitution of a hydroxyl group to a methoxy group on the 19-position, thereby converting the berberrubine to the berberine is associated with a non-specific DNA binding affinity and a reduced topoisomerase II poisoning. The presence of a bulky 19-methoxy substituent decreases intercalating properties of berberine and makes it inactive as topoisomerase II poison.

Processing and Properties of Engine Valve-shaped TiAl-Mn Intermetallics by Reactive Sintering (반응소결법에 의해 엔진밸브 형상으로 제조한 TiAl-Mn 금속간화합물의 특성)

  • Engine valve-shaped TiAl-Mn intermetallics containing 43.5 to 47.5at%Al (Mn/Al=0.036) are successively fabricated by reactive sintering the elemental powder mixtures near-net shaped by extrusion and die forging. A duplex structure consisted of lamellar grains and equiaxed $\gamma$ grains is developed for all compositions, and the areal fraction of the lamellar grains(or equiaxed $\gamma$ grains) decreases (or increases) with increasing Al content. As Al content increased, the elongation increases with accompanying decrease in yield strength and ultimate tensile strength at both room temperature and 80$0^{\circ}C$. This indicates that the suitable composition is Ti-45at%Al-1.6at%Mn in considering the balance of ambient and elevated tensile properties. The reactive-sintered Ti-45Al-1.6Mn alloy shows superior oxidation resistance not only to the plasma arc melted one but also to the heat resistance steel STR35(representative exhaust valve head material for automotive engine). The reactive-sintered Ti-45Al-1.6Mn alloy coated with an oxidizing scale exhibits a better wear resistance than induction hardened martensitic steel STR11(representative exhaust valve tip material for automotive engine).
