A Study on the Clothing Buying Behaviors of Women -in Seoul, Busan, Daegu- (우리나라 성인여성의 의복구매행동에 관한 실태 조사연구 (1) -서울, 부산, 대구지역을 중심으로-)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the clothing buying behaviorial pattern and the differences of clothing buying behaviors by the demographic variables. For the measurement of clothing buying behavior, the researcher developed a questionnaire. This questionnaire was adjusted by preliminary test. Data were collected from 494 women dwelling in Seoul, Busan, Daegu. For statistical analysis, frequency, percentage, average, standard deviation, paired t-test, $X^2-test$, one way analysis of variance, Duncan's multiple range test were used. The results were as follows: 1. The $57\%$ of the subject group planned their clothing purchase in advance, ana their friends affected clothing buying behaviors more than other fashion information sources. The store in which the subject group purchased clothing most frequently was a department store. In clothing selection, hygienic factor and aesthetic factor were shown as important factors. 2, There were significant differences in clothing buying behaviors according to demographic variables.

  • This study was implemented to find an optimal model for wastewater treatment processes using PHOENICS(Parabolic, hyperbolic or Elliptic Numerical Integration Code Series) and ASM(Activated Sludge Model). PHOENICS is a general software based upon the laws of physics and chemistry which govern the motion of fluids, the stresses and strains in solids, heat flow, diffusion, and chemical reaction. The wastewater flow and removal efficiency of particle in two phase system of a grit chamber in wastewater treatment plant were analyzed to inquire the predictive aspect of the operational model. ASM was developed for a biokinetic model based upon material balance in complex activated sludge systems, which can demonstrate dynamic and spatial behavior of biological treatment system. This model was applied to aeration tank and settling chamber in Choonchun city, and the modeling result shows dynamic transport in aeration tank. PHOENCS and ASM could be contributed for the optimal operation of wastewater treatment plant.

Prediction of Low Cycle Fatigue Life for Inconel 617 using Strain Energy Method (변형률 에너지법을 이용한 Inconel 617의 저주기피로 수명 예측)

  • Low cycle fatigue tests are performed on the Inconel 617 that be used for a hot gas casing. The relation between strain energy density and numbers of cycles to failure is examined in order to predict the low cycle fatigue life of Inconel 617. The life predicted by the strain energy method is found to coincide with experimental data and results obtained from the Coffin-Manson method. Also the cyclic behavior of Inconel 617 is characterized by cyclic hardening with increasing number of cycle at room temperature.

  • This paper presents atomization characteristics of cutting fluids. To analyze the behavior characteristics of cutting fluid, analytical approach and experimental measurement were performed to predict the aerosol size, velocity and concentration due to cutting fluid atomization mechanism in machining operation. The established analytical model which is based on atomization theory analyzes the cutting fluid motion and aerosol generation in machining process. The predictive models can be used as a basis for environmental impact analysis on the shop floor. It can be also facilitate the optimization of cutting fluid usage in achieving a balanced consideration of productivity and environmental consciousness.

  • Virtual Manufacturing is a technology to facilitate effective product development and agile production by computer models representing the physical and logical schema and the behavior of real manufacturing systems including manufacturing resources, environments and products. For the successful application of this technology, a virtual factory as a well-designed and integrated environment is essential. In this research, we constructed a sophisticated virtual factory model of an automotive company's paint shop, and performed precise simulations of unit cells, lines and whole plant operations for collision check and off-line programming. It is expected that this virtual paint shop is useful for achieving time and cost savings in many manufacturing preparation and planning activities of new car development processes.

  • We have recently experienced a third ventricular tumor from a 63-year old woman who presented with paraparesis, voiding difficulty and general weakness. Histopathologic study of the tumor was compatible with recently reported and newly termed chordoid glioma. Clinical behavior of the reported tumors were mostly benign but because of its very close proximity to the hypothalamus, some of the subtotally removed tumors recurred or some of the patients died of postoperative complications. The presenting patient regained normal leg power after removal of the tumor followed by ventriculoperitoneal shunt and discharged on her own feet.

  • It became new social interest for children to have their own appropriate physical, mental, social environment as one independent identity, In these social atmosphere, new design method and standard of children's residence, education, playing environment which can fill their desire. When home and school are the first places to meet the world and learn, museum and science hall are the representing places to provide education and entertainment, especially to preschoolers, they are the prior education system. it is the most important these science halls to give children potential familiarity of science rather than direct knowledge. Also these places should be stepping stones of the process of intellectual growth as foundation stones for future science education. On this research i will provide a direction to space planning of children's science hall, extended to children' museum studying display producing of playing conception, the necessary element of children's physical, mental, social behavior development process.

Classification of metals inducing filed aided lateral crystallization (FALC) of amorphous silicon

  • The effects of various metals on Field Aided Lateral Crystallization (FALC) behaviors of amorphous silicon (a-Si) were investigated. Under an influence of electric field, metals such s Cu, Ni and Co were found to fasten the lateral crystallization toward a metal-free region, exhibiting a typical FALC behavior while the lateral crystallization of a-Si was not obvious for Pd. However, Au, Al and Cr did not induce the lateral crystallization of a-Si in metal-free region. Such phenomenological differences in various metals were studied in terms of dominant diffusing species (DDS) in the reaction between metal and Si. It was judged that the applied electric field enhanced the crystallization velocity by accelerating the diffusion of metal atoms since the occurrence of lateral crystallization would be strongly dependent on the diffusion of metal atoms than that of Si atoms. Therefore, it was concluded that he only metal-dominant diffusing species in the reaction between metal and Si results in the crystallization of a-Si in metal-free region.

  • Concrete-filled steel tube(CFT) columns have become popular for building construction due to not only composite effect of steel tube and infilled concrete, but also more economical. The purpose of this paper is to propose the applicable boundary formula of width-to-thickness ratio for rectangular steel tube as using CFT column. A parametric study was performed taking width-to-thickness ratio of rectangular steel tube and compressive strength of concrete as the main parameter. The strength of concrete are selected to 30, 60, 90MPa. The non-linear analysis was adopted in order to take into account the effect of concrete strength. Finally, from the test and analysis results, the effect of increasing strength according to concrete strength and width-to-thickness of steel tube and plastic behavior of specimens were verified distinctly.

  • Beauty Art typically has been viewed as the best way to represent women's beauty. Specifically, nail art is a mean for the new generation to unveil their individuality. Nail-shop customers usually feel refreshed, and that emotional change gives them aesthetic and emotional satisfaction. The popularization of nail art and the growth of nail-art market arises the people's concern to the necessity of marketing strategy as part of the beauty industry, as well as the importance of service quality and customer satisfaction. The purpose of this study is to examine women's changing view of nail care and relevant consumption behavior. Also to analyze the voice of customers about the quality of services provided by nail shops, and to have the right understanding of the industry and as well as to determine some of the right directions for marketing.
