Spectrophotometric Determination of Ultra trace Tri & Hexavalent Chromium by Using on-line Flow Injection Analysis with Dual Pre-concentration Column

  • An on-line flow injection analysis with dual pre-concentration method was developed to determine the ultra trace tri and hexavalent chromium in water. In this system, the cation and anion pre-concentration columns were combined with a 10-port injection valve and then used to separate and concentrate Cr (III) and Cr (VI) selectively. The two species of concentrated chromium were sequentially eluted and determined by using HCl-KCl buffer of pH 1.8 as an eluent. Cr (III) was oxidized by hydrogen peroxide to Cr (VI). It was detected spectrophotometrically at 548 nm by complexation with DPC (diphenylcarbazide). Several factors such as concentration of $H_2O_2$, DPC and coil length in reaction condition were optimized. The linear range for Cr (III) and Cr (VI) was 0.1-50 ${\mu}g$/L. The limit of detections ($3{\sigma}$) of Cr (III) and Cr (VI) were 52 ng/L and 44 ng/L under the optimized FIA system, and their recoveries 98% and 103%, respectively. This method was applied to analyze contamination level of chromium species in tap water, groundwater and bottled water.

  • Objective: This study aimed to examine the dual mediating effects of preschoolers' emotional temperament and emotion regulation in the relationship between maternal emotional expression and preschoolers' behavior problems. Methods: The participants included 167 preschoolers and their mothers from Daegu city and Gyeonsang province. The mothers completed questionnaires regarding their own emotional expression, children's temperament, emotion regulation, and behavior problems. Results: The primary results of this study were as follows. First, there were significant correlations among maternal emotional expression, preschoolers' emotional temperament, emotion regulation, and problem behaviors. Second, maternal emotional expression had an indirect effect on preschoolers' behavior problems through preschoolers' emotional temperament and emotion regulation. Conclusion: This study revealed that maternal negative emotional expression and preschoolers' temperament and emotion regulation need to be considered simultaneously to explain the level of preschoolers' behavior problems. More specifically, the results highlight the dual mediating effects of preschoolers' temperament and emotion regulation in the relationship between maternal negative emotional expression and preschoolers' behavior problems.

바이어스 스위칭을 이용한 이중 모우드 전력 증폭기 효율 개선 (Efficiency Improvement for Dual Mode Amplifier Design Using Bias Switching)

  • 본 논문은 이중 모우드 송신기에서 효율을 증가시킬 수 있는 새로운 기법을 제시하였다. 미래의 이중 모우드 송신기는 다른 주파수 대역에서 서로 다른 출력을 갖는 증폭기로 구성되어 진다. 와이브로는 2.3GHz 대역에서 1W의 출력을 갖고 무선랜은 2.4GHz에서 100mW의 출력전력을 갖는다. 본 논문은 단순한 바이어스 스위칭 방법으로 위 두 시스템에서 각각 높은 효율을 얻을 수 있음을 제안하였다. 바이어스 스위칭을 사용하지 않은 증폭기의 경우 20dBm의 출력을 갖는 무선랜 주파수 대역에서 효율이 10%로 나타났으나 바이어스 스위칭을 사용하게 된다면 더 낮은 바이어스에서 35%의 효율을 나타내었다. 따라서 이 기술은 더욱 많은 기능이 융합되는 미래의 다중 대역 단말시스템에 매우 유용할 것이다.

이중 PLL 구조 주파수 합성기의 위상 잡음 개선 (Improvement of Phase Noise in Frequency Synthesizer with Dual PLL)

  • 본 논문에서는 광대역 수신기에서 고속으로 동작하며, 위상 잡음의 크기와 형태를 개선한 이중 PLL 구조 주파수 합성기를 제안한다. 위상 잡음 및 불요신호의 개선을 위해 두 번째 PLL의 기준 주파수로 사용되는 첫 번째 PLL의 출력주파수를 변경하였다. 6.5~8.5 GHz에서 동작하며, 디지털 NCO(Numerically Controlled Oscillator)와 연계하여 주파수 해상도 1 Hz를 만족하는 주파수 합성기를 설계하였고, 제작된 주파수 합성기는 동조속도 60 us 이내로 동작하며, 출력 전력은 약 -3 dBm 이상, 위상 잡음은 10 kHz offset에서 -95 dBc/Hz 이하를 만족한다.

A New Perspective on IT Capabilities and Firm Performance: Focusing on Dual Roles of Institutional Pressures

  • To provide a fundamental understanding on the inherent relationship between IT capabilities and sustainable firm heterogeneity, we investigate the dual roles that institutional pressures play, namely, as antecedents of IT capabilities and as moderator of the relationship between IT capabilities and IT innovation success, where IT innovation success plays a mediating role between IT capabilities and firm performance. The structural model was tested, and the results of the PLS analysis provided general support for the proposed hypotheses. IT capabilities had an indirect effect mediated by IT innovation success on firm performance. With IT activities assumed to be embedded in the institutional context, the dual roles of institutional pressures are verified. This study contributes to the literature on IT capabilities by considering both the determining role of institutional pressures on IT capabilities and the institutional context of the chain that connects IT capabilities to firm performance. The results suggest that a firm not only manages various institutional pressures to foster its IT capabilities but also adapts to different contexts with a certain level of institutional pressures to facilitate its IT capabilities and outperform its competitors, which could be sustained through IT innovation success.

  • A GNSS(Global Navigation Satellite System) using GPS provides us with very useful information concerning the positioning of users in many sectors such as transportation, social services, the justice system and customs services, public works, search and rescue systems and leisure. A GNSS using the Galileo satellite is due to work in 2008 and expected to be used in various fields such as aviation, marine transportation, land surveying, resources development precise agriculture, telemetics, and so on. In this paper, we discuss the implementation and testing of a combined GPS/Galileo receiver which we named KSTAR V1.0. Each tracking module of GPS/Galileo dual mode correlator has the five track arms which consist of Very Early code, Early code, Prompt code, late code, and Very late code. Each of 24 tracking modules can be assigned to GPS and/or Galileo signal by changing mode selection register. The basic correlator integration dump period is set to 1ms for GPS C/A code and fast Galileo signal tracking. The performance of the developed combined GPS/Galileo receiver was tested and evaluated using the IF (Intermediated Frequency)-level GPS/Galileo signal generator.

Wide-Input Range Dual Mode PWM / Linear Buck Converter with High robustness ESD Protection Circuit

  • This paper proposes a high-efficiency, dual-mode PWM / linear buck converter with a wide-input range. The proposed converter was designed with a mode selector that can change the operation between PWM / linear mode by sensing a load current. The proposed converter operates in a linear mode during a light load and in PWM mode during a heavy load condition in order to ensure high efficiency. In addition, the mode selector uses a bit counter and a transmission gate designed to protect from a malfunction due to noise or a time-delay. Also, in conditions between $-40^{\circ}C$ and $140^{\circ}C$, the converter has variations in temperature of $0.5mV/^{\circ}C$ in the PWM mode and of $0.24mV/^{\circ}C$ in the linear mode. Also, to prevent malfunction and breakdown of the IC due to static electricity, the reliability of IC was improved by embedding a self-produced 8 kV-class(Chip level) ESD protection circuit of a P-substrate Triggered SCR type with high robustness characteristics.

Design of Multi-time Programmable Memory for PMICs

  • In this paper, a multi-time programmable (MTP) cell based on a $0.18{\mu}m$ bipolar-CMOS-DMOS backbone process that can be written into by using dual pumping voltages - VPP (boosted voltage) and VNN (negative voltage) - is used to design MTP memories without high voltage devices. The used MTP cell consists of a control gate (CG) capacitor, a TG_SENSE transistor, and a select transistor. To reduce the MTP cell size, the tunnel gate (TG) oxide and sense transistor are merged into a single TG_SENSE transistor; only two p-wells are used - one for the TG_SENSE and sense transistors and the other for the CG capacitor; moreover, only one deep n-well is used for the 256-bit MTP cell array. In addition, a three-stage voltage level translator, a VNN charge pump, and a VNN precharge circuit are newly proposed to secure the reliability of 5 V devices. Also, a dual memory structure, which is separated into a designer memory area of $1row{\times}64columns$ and a user memory area of $3rows{\times}64columns$, is newly proposed in this paper.

무인차량 라이다용 CMOS 듀얼채널 자동 이득조절 트랜스임피던스 증폭기 어레이 (A Dual-Channel CMOS Transimpedance Amplifier Array with Automatic Gain Control for Unmanned Vehicle LADARs)

  • In this paper, a dual-channel feed-forward transimpedance(TIA) array is realized in a standard $0.18-{\mu}m$ CMOS technology which exploits automatic gain control function to provide 40-dB input dynamic range for either detecting targets nearby or sensing imminent danger situations. Compared to the previously reported conventional feed-forward TIA, the proposed automatic-gain-control feed-forward TIA(AFF-TIA) extends the input dynamic range 25 dB wider by employing a 4-level automatic gain control circuit. Measured results demonstrate the linearly varying transimpedance gain of 47 to $72dB{\Omega}$, input dynamic range of 1:100, the bandwidth of $${\geq_-}670MHz$$, the equivalent input referred noise current spectral density of 6.9 pA/${\surd}$HZ, the maximum sensitivity of -26.8 dBm for $10^{-12}BER$, and the power consumption of 27.6 mW from a single 1.8-V supply. The dual-channel chip occupies the area of $1.0{\times}0.73mm^2$ including I/O pads.

이중편파 하중 지지형 마이크로스트립 안테나 설계 및 제작 (Design and Fabrication of a Dual Polarized Load-bearing Microstrip Antenna)

  • 본 논문에서는 SAR(Synthertic Aperture Radar) 시스템에 적합한 이중편하 하중 지지형 마이크로스트림 8$\times$4 배열 안테나를 설계, 제작하여, 그 측정 결과를 시뮬레이션 결과와 비교하였다. 안테나 설계 시 운용 주파수와 대역폭, polarization putity, -3 dB 빔 폭 등과 같은 전기적 특성뿐만 아니라, 구조적 안정성, 강도, 강성 등의 기계적 특성을 함께 고려하였다. 본 안테나는 SSFIP 형 구조에 허니콤과 Shielding plane을 첨가한 형태이며, 이중편파는 서로 수직으로 위치한 두 개의 dog-bone shape 슬롯으로 구현하였다. 각 실험 결과로부터 제안한 안테나 중심 주파수 5.3 GHz를 중심으로 약 80GHz 의 대역폭을 지니고, -20 dB 이하의 cross-polarization level, 약 40dB 정도의 포트간 고립도 특성을 타나내며 구조적으로도 안정됨을 알 수 있었다.
