Multiple Shape Object Handling을 위한 양팔로봇의 성능지수 평가 (Evaluation of Performance Index of Dual-arm manipulator for Multiple Shape Object Handling)

  • This paper proposes a performance index for the multiple shape object handling of dual arm manipulator to determine whether a robot is good or not. When the dual-arm manipulator grasps a fixed object and is posed, the dual-arm manipulator should procure a space to freely control the manipulator. As a performance evaluation parameter, each joint torque from current sensor signal is utilized. From the current information, torque and energy for each joint are estimated. In this paper an performance index for an unstructured object is defined by an energy-cost function, and stability analysis for each motion is derived by the maximum force to the object. The maximum force to the object is computed by the inertia of object and acceleration information of end-effector. The acceleration data are derived by the double derivation of each encoder signal. Manipulability measure which implies how efficiently the dual-arm manipulator can move with the grasped object, can be represented by the intersection of the two manipulability ellipsoids for the left and right arms. Effectiveness of the proposed algorithm has been verified through the practical simulations and real experiments.

이중 이온주입 공정을 이용한 트렌치 필드링 설계 최적화 및 전기적 특성에 관한 연구 (The Research on Trench Etched Field Ring with Dual Ion-Implantation for Power Devices)

  • The dual ion-implantation trench edge termination techniques were investigated and optimized using a two-dimensional device simulator. By trenching the field ring site which would be dual implanted, a better blocking capability can be obtained. The results show that the p-n junction with dual implanted junction field-ring can accomplish nearly 20% increase of breakdown voltage in comparison with the conventional trench field-rings. The fabrication is relatively difficult. But the trench etched field ring with dual ion-implantation is surpassed for breakdown voltage and consume same area and extensive device simulations as well as qualitative analysis confirm these conclusions.

래디얼 스터브를 통해 구현된 이중 모드 공진기를 이용한 대역 통과 필터 (Bandpass Filter Using Dual-mode Resonator with Radial Stub)

  • 본 논문에서는 래디얼 스터브를 이용하여 이중 모드 공진기를 구현하여 이를 통하여 5.8 GHz ITS 시스템에 응용 가능한 대역 통과 필터를 제안하였다. 이중 모드 공진기를 구성하는 개방형 스터브를 래디얼 스터브로 대체함으로써 이중 모드 공진기의 크기는 약 39.6% 감소하였고 두 개의 $60^{\circ}$ 래디얼 스터브를 통해 약 $6.9{\Omega}$의 낮은 임피던스를 갖는 스터브가 구현되어 이중 모드 공진기를 이용한 필터의 저지 대역 특성이 19.4 dB에서 29.1 dB로 개선되었다. 제안된 이중 모드 공진기를 이용하여 제작된 필터는 중심 주파수 5.72 GHz에서 4.1%의 대역폭을 가졌으며, 1.79 dB와 19.4 dB의 삽입 손실과 반사 손실 특성을 나타내었다.

  • 본 논문에서는 마이크로스트립 공진기에 엇갈린 슬롯과 한 쌍의 spur-line을 삽입한 소형 이중모드(dual-mode)여파기를 제안하였다. 제안한 여파기는 급전선과 공진기 사이에 존재하는 급전 갭(coupling gap)을 없앰으로써 삽입손실의 특성이 향상되었다. 엇갈린 슬롯만 가진 기존의 이중모드 여파기와 비교할 때, 엇갈린 슬롯과 spur-line을 동시에 갖는 이중모드 여파기는 이중모드 특성을 나타내는 섭동의 범위가 상당히 넓기 때문에 이중 모드 여파기의 설계가 용이해졌다. 또한, 제안된 구조의 가장자리에 존재하는 spur-line에 2개의 PIN다이오드를 삽입하여 개폐기 특성을 갖는 여파기로의 응용도 가능하였다. 또한 제안한 구조는 공진기에 삽입된 슬롯과 spur-line에 의해 전기적인 길이가 길어지므로 기존의 구조에 비해 34.7 %의 크기 감소 효과를 얻을 수 있었다.

  • The proposed research has been performed to know the characteristics of cutting fluid aerosol formation using Dual-PDA system in machining process. The cutting fluid aerosol size and concentration is common attributes that quantify the environmental intrusiveness or air quality contamination. The atomized cutting fluid aerosols can be affected to human health risk such as lung cancer and skin irritations. Even though cutting fluid can be improved the machining quality and productivity in a carefully. its use must be controlled and optimized carefully. This experimental works using Dual-PDA were performed to analyze the cutting fluid aerosol behaviors and characteristics in turning process using precise aerosol particle measuring system. The obtained experimental results profovide basic knowledge to develop the environmentally conscious machining process. This results cail be provided as a basis to estimate and control the hazardous cutting fluid aerosol in machining process.

Harmonic-Mean-Based Dual-Antenna Selection with Distributed Concatenated Alamouti Codes in Two-Way Relaying Networks

  • In this letter, a harmonic-mean-based dual-antenna selection scheme at relay node is proposed in two-way relaying networks (TWRNs). With well-designed distributed orthogonal concatenated Alamouti space-time block code (STBC), a dual-antenna selection problem based on the instantaneous achievable sum-rate criterion is formulated. We propose a low-complexity selection algorithm based on the harmonic-mean criterion with linearly complexity $O(N_R)$ rather than the directly exhaustive search with complexity $O(N^2_R)$. From the analysis of network outage performance, we show that the asymptotic diversity gain function of the proposed scheme achieves as $1/{\rho}{^{N_R-1}}$, which demonstrates one degree loss of diversity order compared with the full diversity. This slight performance gap is mainly caused by sacrificing some dual-antenna selection freedom to reduce the algorithm complexity. In addition, our proposed scheme can obtain an extra coding gain because of the combination of the well-designed orthogonal concatenated Alamouti STBC and the corresponding dual-antenna selection algorithm. Compared with the common-used selection algorithms in the state of the art, the proposed scheme can achieve the best performance, which is validated by numerical simulations.

A New Breed of Electric Machines - Basic Analysis and Applications of Dual Mechanical Port Electric Machines

  • Conceptually, mechanical port of an electric machine can be doubled and the concept of dual-mechanical-port (DMP) will then give birth to a new breed of electric machines. In this paper, the various possible structures of DMP electric machine are discussed. Basic modeling and analysis issues related to the DMP electric machine are presented. An exemplary design of DMP machine is given and verified by FEM results. Potential applications and future research work are given to conclude the paper.

  • A modified primal-dual affine scaling algorithm for linear programming is presented. This modified algorithm generates an elipsoid containing all optimal dual solutions at each iteration, then checks whether or not a dual hyperplane intersects this ellipsoid. If the dual hyperplane has no intersection with this ellipsoid, its corresponding column must be optimal nonbasic. By condensing these columns, the size of LP problem can be reduced.

Cost-effective Single Board PDP Sustaining Driver with Dual Resonant Method

  • A new plasma display panel sustaining driver using single side sustaining technique with a dual resonant method is proposed in this paper. Since this circuit enables to keep device voltage stress same as the prior circuit, it can be a low cost circuit compared to a conventional driver. To integrate the sustaining function into one side with a single power source in the driver, a charge pump method is adopted to make negative sustaining voltage and to achieve dual resonant energy recovery on the sustaining modes.

  • It is known [5] that the concepts of $C_k$-spaces and those can be characterized using by the Gottlieb sets and the LS category of spaces as follows; A space X is a $C_k$-space if and only if the Gottlieb set G(Z, X) = [Z, X] for any space Z with cat $Z{\leq}k$. In this paper, we introduce a dual concept of $C_k$-space and obtain a dual result of the above result using the dual Gottlieb set and the dual LS category.
