  • The design and the construction are carried out by installation of new caissons on the back or the front of existing caissons to increase the stability of existing caisson breakwater. In this study, we use the eigenfunction expansion method to analyze the effects of wave structure interaction when new porous dual circular caissons are installed on the back or the front of existing breakwater. The porous dual circular caisson which consisting of a porous outer cylinder circumscribing an impermeable inner cylinder is one type of seawater exchanging breakwater. The comparison of numerical results between present method and Sankarbabu et al. is made, and the wave force and the wave run-up acting on each porous dual circular caisson are calculated for various parameters by considering the wave structure interaction.

  • Mr. Hur has developed the 7500KW permanent magnet synchronous generator. The 7500KW generator has dual blade system with vertical axis type generation module. The 7500KW generator will generating that it is too expensive and construction payment. The advantages of dual blade system are cheap in generation with better efficiency, and safety compact structure. But also this system has the expensive slide ring for to distribute electrical power.

  • Synchronization phenomena of chaos observed in a dual-structured system is presented. The system is consisting of two identical piecewise-linear systems and the simple coupling between the two systems enables the synchronization of the chaotic behavior. An application of the proposed dual-structure to a real power system for the parameter value identification is also presented.

  • Ceramic metal halide lamps have been widely used due to long lifetime, high luminous efficiency and good colour rendering. In this paper, we developed dimming control system of electronic ballast for 70W ceramic metal halide lamp by using 1-10V interface. The proposed electronic ballast is consists of EMI filter, Full-wave rectifier, Active PFC, DBI(Dual Buck Inverter), Igniter and control circuit. It enables to supply both low-frequency rectangular wave voltage and current to the lamp by using DBI(Dual Bcuk Inverter) structure. By using 1-10V interface, the system that able to dimming the lamp is demonstrated by P-spice simulation and experimental results.

  • A balanced dual-band bandpass filter based on ${\lambda}$/2 stepped-impedance resonators and open-loop resonators is proposed in this letter. By employing a type of self-feedback structure, an extra transmission zero is introduced near the common-mode resonance frequency, and the common-mode signal is suppressed. The measured results indicate that the filter can operate in 2.46 GHz and 5.6 GHz bands, and the insertion loss is 1.85 dB and 1.9 dB, respectively. Also, better common-mode suppression is achieved.

  • This paper experimentally investigates the characteristics of dual coaxial jet issuing from inner supersonic nozzle and four kinds of outer converging nozzle of 40, 50, $60^{\circ}$ and $70^{\circ}$ in outer ejection angle. The pressure ratio of the stagnation to the exit ambient pressures in the inner supersonic nozzle of constant expansion rate is 7.5, which is corresponded to the condition of a slightly underexpanded, and that of outer nozzle is 4.0. Flow visualizations by using of shadowgraph method, impact pressure and centerline static pressure measurements are presented. It is found that the jet structure is changed significantly by the variation of outer nozzle ejection angle. Impact pressure level is lower and undulation of static pressure is higher, as the injection angle of outer jet increases.

  • The present paper outlines the numerical investigation of the incident wave interactions with fully submerged and floating dual double hull pontoon/vertical porous membrane breakwaters. Two dimensional five fluid-domains hydro-elastic formulation was carried out in the context of linear wave body interaction theory to study the wave interaction with the double hull of pontoon-membranes. The submerged circular pontoon is consisted of double hulls, which is filled with water in the void space between the outer structure and inner solid buoyant structure. Hydrodynamic characteristics of the proposed system with dual floating double-hull-pontoons filled with water have been studied numerically for the various incident waves. This study is a beginning stage research for the dual double hull porous pontoons/vertical porous membranes breakwaters which is ideally designed in order to suppress significantly the transmitted and reflected waves simultaneously.

  • Dual Mass Flywheel(DMF) is used in order to improve the vibration characteristics of drivetrain of manual transmission vehicles. Regardless of its complexity and high cost, application of DMF is keep increasing due to a trend of using Diesel engines in passenger cars and light weight design of drivetrains. Modeling and analysis of DMF is rather simple, but finding out optimum parameters of damper may not be easy. Furthermore, its realization in DMF has some limitations due to DMF's structure and its structure dependent damping characteristics. Requirements on spring-damper characteristics of DMF has been reviewed and investigations on structures and damping characteristics of currently Produced DMFs have been made in this paper. Also, ideal spring and damper characteristics has been proposed based on such investigations.

  • Ceramic metal halide lamps have been widely used due to long lifetime, high luminous efficiency and good colour rendering. 35[W] ceramic metal halide lamps has very different characteristics between ignition state and steady state. The developed electronic ballast is satisfied to both ignition state and steady state characteristics by using a micro-controller.

  • Robots utilized in the field of welfare or agriculture should be light in weight and flexible in structure. A pneumatic actuator has properties such that it is more powerful compared with a motor of same weight, and that it is flexible, clean and unexplosive. In this paper we propose a new structure of the pneumatic actuator with two-degree-of-freedom. By using proposed pneumatic actuators, we can easily construct multi-degree-of-freedom pneumatic manipulators. Here we constructed a fourteen-degree-of-freedom pneumatic dual manipulator. The performance of the dual manipulators is confirmed through experiments for ball-handling with impedance control. In the experiments several control schemes, including the decentralized control and the simple adaptive control (SAC), were used. The results show that a flexibility of the pneumatic actuator is appropriate to accomplish the coordinative motion of the right and left arms of the robot.
