톨러런스기반 플레이트 접합 장치를 사용한 고중량 RC보의 설치 성능 (Erection Capability of Heavy Precast Frames with Metal Plates using Wet Concrete for Tolerance)

  • Methods for the manufacture, erection, and assembly of heavy frame modules were proposed. Interferences among precast members were prevented by using bolted metal plates for dry precast beam-to-column joints during assembly with a clearance for tolerance implementing grouted concrete filler plates instead of metal filler plates. Clearances for tolerances were provided to avoid conflictions among components during erection phases. These gaps were, then, grouted by high-strength mortar. The constructability of new connections of a beam-to-column joint using bolted metal plates for precast structures was examined using a full-scale assembly test in which practical observations indicated that members could be aligned and placed accurately in both horizontal and vertical directions, leading to a fast and convenient assembling. Bolt holes of the endplate were properly aligned using couplers with 30 mm fastened length embedded in the columns. The assembly test demonstrated the erection safety and structural stability of the proposed joints that were without filler plates when they were subjected to heavy loads at the time of their erection. The facile and rapid assembly of precast beam-to-column connections with a 30 mm tolerance was observed. The proposed assembly method is rapid, sustainable, and resilient, replacing the conventional methods of concrete frame construction, offering a connection that can be used in constructing infrastructure, such as buildings and pipe-rack frames.

낙엽송 부재의 이중 전단 볼트 접합부 강도 성능 (Strength Property of Double Shear Bolted-Connections of Larch)

  • 본 연구에서는 국산 낙엽송 부재를 이용한 이중 볼트 전단 접합부의 성능을 평가하였다. 주부재로 두께 39 mm, 89 mm, 139 mm, 189 mm로 제재된 국산 낙엽송 제재목과 국산 낙엽송으로 제조된 두께 80 mm, 140 mm, 170 mm 집성재를 사용하였으며, 측면 부재로는 동일 두께의 제재목과 6 mm 철판을 사용하였으며, 접합 철물로는 M12, M16, M20 볼트를 사용하였다. 접합부에 대한 하중 방향은 주부재와 측면 부재의 목리 경사에 대해 수직, 수평한 경우에 대하여 실시하였다. 다우얼 지압 강도 실험을 통해 부재의 다우얼 지압 강도를 산출하고, 볼트 휨 실험을 통해 볼트의 휨 강도를 구한뒤, 최종 볼트 접합부 실험을 통해 접합부 성능을 평가하였으며, 최종 결과는 EYM (European Yield Model)을 사용한 계산값과 비교 평가하였다. 연구 결과 국산 낙엽송 부재의 이중 전단 볼트 접합부 성능은 EYM을 사용하여 얻어진 계산값과 비교하였을 때 그에 상응하거나 그 이상임을 알 수 있었으며, 특히 측면 부재가 제재목인 경우는 거의 일치함을 알 수 있었다. 파괴 모드는 옹이나 건조 결함 등의 영향을 많이 받으며 주부재의 두께가 작을 경우는 mode I, 주부재가 커짐에 따라 mode III으로 옮겨감을 알 수 있었다.

TMCP강의 습식수중 아크용접부의 냉각특성 개선에 관한 연구 (Study on Cooling Characteristic Improvement in Underwater Wet Arc Welding of TMCP Steelplate)

  • The offshore industry created a need for quality wet weld repairs. Wet welding is a fast method of repair providing sound, structural quality welds. It requires less support equipment than a similar underwater dry weld repair or the alternative mechanical connections. Compared to welds made in air, underwater wet welds are plagued by increased hardness due to rapid quenching by the surrounding water. In this paper is described the experimntal study of improving the cooling rates of wet welds of TMCP steel plate by shielding around weld arc surroundings. The principal results of this experimental investigation can be summarized as follows : By shielding around weld arc surrounding, the cooling rates resulting from wet welds on TMCP steel plate could be lower than that of nonshielded wet welds and the fesibility on high quality of mecanical properties of wet weld on TMCP steel plate was carried out with shielded weld arc surrounding.

  • In this study, new methods of PC panel connection using 'ㄷ'type steel connection is proposed for highly seismic zone. A study was carry out to investigate the connection behavior subjected to cyclic inelastic loading. Three planar type and two T type PC wall will be tested. The variables will be examined were the shear reinforcement existence of top and bottom walls. The specimens will be tested only reverse cyclic loading in accordance with a prescribed displacement history. To transfer the shear strength shear key set up between top and bottom wall. Failure mode, behavior, ductility and energy dissipation capacity of the specimens constructed by new connections wll be compared with those of monolithic walls and Han's(Han, Jun Hee, Seoul National University) model.

PC 접합부의 실물 성능실험을 통한 기계식이음 구조성능 평가 (Evaluation of Mechanical Joint Structural Performance through Actual Performance Testing of PC Connections)

  • In this study, the SBC system, a new mechanical joint method, was developed to improve the constructability of precast concrete (PC) beam-column connections. The reliability of the finite element analysis model was verified through the comparison of experimental results and FEM analysis results. Recently, the intermediate moment frame, a seismic force resistance system, has served as a ramen structure that resists seismic force through beams and columns and has few load-bearing walls, so it is increasingly being applied to PC warehouses and PC factories with high loads and long spans. However, looking at the existing PC beam-column anchorage details, the wire, strand, and lower main bar are overlapped with the anchorage rebar at the end, so they do not satisfy the joint and anchorage requirements for reinforcing bars (KDS 41 17 00 9.3). Therefore, a mechanical joint method (SBC) was developed to meet the relevant standards and improve constructability. Tensile and bending experiments were conducted to examine structural performance, and a finite element analysis model was created. The load-displacement curve and failure pattern confirmed that both the experimental and analysis results were similar, and it was verified that a reliable finite element analysis model was built. In addition, bending tests showed that the larger the thickness of the bolt joint surface of the SBC, the better its structural performance. It was also determined that the system could improve energy dissipation ability and ductility through buckling and yielding occurring in the SBC.

Numerical simulation of seismic tests on precast concrete structures with various arrangements of cladding panels

  • The unexpected seismic interaction of dry-assembled precast concrete frame structures typical of the European heritage with their precast cladding panels brought to extensive failures of the panels during recent earthquakes due to the inadequateness of their connection systems. Following this recognition, an experimental campaign of cyclic and pseudo-dynamic tests has been performed at ELSA laboratory of the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission on a full-scale prototype of precast structure with vertical and horizontal cladding panels within the framework of the Safecladding project. The panels were connected to the frame structure by means of innovative arrangements of fastening systems including isostatic, integrated and dissipative. Many of the investigated configurations involved a strong frame-cladding interaction, modifying the structural behaviour of the frame turning it into highly non-linear since small deformation. In such cases, properly modelling the connections becomes fundamental in the framework of a design by non-linear dynamic analysis. This paper presents the peculiarities of the numerical models of precast frame structures equipped with the various cladding connection systems which have been set to predict and simulate the experimental results from pseudo-dynamic tests. The comparison allows to validate the structural models and to derive recommendations for a proper modelling of the different types of existing and innovative cladding connection systems.

송전선로용 고전압 절연체의 최적 형상에 대한 유한요소 해석 (Finite Element Analysis for the Optimal Shape of the High Voltage Insulator for Power Transmission Lines)

  • The insulator used for the transmission line is a device that is bonded with a cap, pin, ceramic, and cement to withstand insulation capacity and mechanical load. The insulator design can help to reduce the dispersion of the electric field; thus, the optimization of today's design, especially as demanded power grows, is critical. The designs of four manufacturers were used to perform a comparative analysis. Under dry circumstances of the new product, an electric field distribution study was done with no pollutants attached. Manufacturer D's design has the best voltage uniformity of 24.33% and the arc length of 500 mm or more. Manufacturer C's design has an equalizing voltage of more than 2% higher than that of other manufacturers. The importance of the design of the insulator and the number of connections according to the installation conditions is very efficient for transmission lines that will increase in the future.

석션압을 이용한 원형강관 가물막이 현장설치 실험 (Field Installation Test of the Circular Steel Cofferdam Using Suction Pressure)

  • 해상(또는 수상) 구조물 시공수요가 증가됨에 따라 해양구조물 시공을 용이하게 하는 임시구조물 수요가 증가하고 있다. 가물막이(cofferdam)는 임시구조물로 해상 작업 시 외부로부터 물을 막아 육상과 동일한 작업환경을 제공한다. 하지만, 물 유입을 차단하기 위한 별도의 시공공정이 필요하기 때문에 공사지연과 건설비 증가의 주원인이 되고 있다. 최근 재래식 가물막이의 문제점을 해결하고 경제성을 높이기 위해 석션압(suction pressure)을 이용해 신속하고 경제적으로 시공이 가능한 대구경 원형강관 가물막이 공법이 제안되었다. 본 공법은 원형강관 가물막이 상부가 수면위로 노출된 상태에서 석션압을 이용해 해저면에 관입되고, 시공 후 내부의 물을 외부로 배출하여 강관자체를 가물막이로 활용한다. 본 연구에서는 원형강관 가물막이 공법을 검증하기 위해 직경 5m인 원형강관 가물막이를 제작하고 새만금 지역에서 실증실험을 실시하였다. 실험 중 원형 강관에 작용하는 석션압, 연결부 누수유무, 수직도(경사도), 구조체의 변형을 각각 계측하였으며 실험결과를 분석하였다. 본 연구를 통해 석션압을 이용한 원형강관 가물막이 공법을 검증하였으며, 석션 설치공법이 다양한 해양 구조물 시공에 활용 될 수 있음을 확인하였다.

서울 일부 지역 노인의 주관적 구강건강상태와 주관적 구강증상과의 관련성 (Relationship of Subjective Oral Health Status to Subjective Oral Symptoms for the Elderly in Some Seoul Area)

  • 본 연구는 노인의 주관적 구강건강상태와 주관적 구강증상의 관련성을 조사하여, 노인의 구강건강 향상을 위한 노인구강보건사업개발의 기초자료를 확보하기 위하여 실시하였다. 2008년 6월부터 9월까지 서울 소재 경로당을 방문하여 편의표본추출법으로 노인 200명을 선정하였으며, 개별 면접조사법으로 자료를 수집하여 통계 처리한 결과 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 1. 주관적인 구강증상에서 저작시 어려움, 구강건조, 구취는 가끔 느낀다는 응답이 각 32.0%, 38.5%, 40.5%로 나타났으며, 구강내 통증, 악관절 이상의 경험, 잇몸질환의 경험 은 겅의 없다라는 응답이 각 44.5%, 69.0%, 46.0%로 높게 나타났다. 2. 구강내 잔존 치아수는 평균 13.71개로 나타났다. 3. 성별에 따른 주관적 구강증상에서 성별과 악관절 이상(p=0.000), 구강건조(p=0.001), 구취 (p=0.006)에서 통계학적으로 유의한 관계를 보았으며, 남자가 여자보다 구강증상을 경험 하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 4. 저작능력(p=0.000), 구강내 통증(p=0.010), 악관절 이상(p=0.010), 구강건조(p=0.001)와 주관 적 구강 건강상태와는 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 보여 구강이 건강하지 않은 노인이 구강 증상을 경험하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 잔존 치아 수는 건강하지 않은 노인이 적 었으며, 유의한 차이를 보였다(p=0.000). 5. 치아수가 많을수록 저작능력(p=0.000)과 구강건조의 경험(p=0.000)을 적게 하고 있음을 알 수 있었고, 치아수가 많을수록 잇몸질환의 경험(p=0.007)이 많은 결과를 보였으며, 유의한 차이를 보였다. 또한 구강건강상태가 좋을수록 저작능력(p=0.000), 구강내 통증(p=0.004), 구강건조(p=0.000), 구취의 경험(p=0.008)이 적었으며 통계학적으로 유의한 관계가 있었다. 본 연구결과를 통해 노인이 인지하는 구강건강상태와 구강증상과의 관련이 있으며, 잔존하는 치아의 수와 주관적 구강증상도 관련성이 있음을 알 수 있었다. 따라서 노인의 자연치아를 유지하기 위하여 구강병의 예방적 활동과 구강건강상태 인지 수준을 향상시킬 수 있도록 계속구강건강관리제도와 구강보건교육프로그램이 절실히 필요하다고 사료 된다.

임플랜트 지대주 나사의 텅스텐 카바이드/탄소 코팅이 전하중에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (INFLUENCE OF TUNGSTEN CARBIDE/CARBON COATING ON THE PRELOAD OF IMPLANT ABUTMENT SCREWS)

  • Statement of problem: In order to increase preload with reducing the friction coefficient, abutment screws coated with pure gold and Teflon as dry lubricant coatings have been introduced. But the reported data indicate that if screw repeated tightening and loosening cycle, an efficiency of increasing preload was decreased by screw surface wearing off. Purpose: This study was to evaluate the influence of tungsten carbide/carbon coating, which has superior hardness and frictional wear resistance, on the preload of abutment screws and the stability of coating surface after repeated closures. Material and method: The rotational values of abutment screws and the compressive forces between abutment and fixture were measured in implant systems with three different joint connections, one external butt joint and two internal cones. Moreover the stability and the alteration of coating surface were examined by comparison of the compressive force and the removable torque values during 10 consecutive trials, observation with scanning electron microscope and analyzed the elemental composition with energy dispersive x-ray spectroscopy Results and conclusion: 1. Application of coating resulted in significant increase of compressive force in all implant systems(P<.05). The increasing rate of compressive force by coating in external butt joint was gloater than those in internal cones (P<.05). 2. Coated screw showed the significant additional rotation compared to non-coated screw in all implant systems (P<.05). There were no significant differences in the increasing rate of rotation among implant systems (P>.05). 3. Removable torque values were greater with non-coated screw than that with coated screw (P<.05). 4. Coated screw showed insignificant variations in the compressive forces during 10 consecutive trials(P>.05) 5. After repeated trials, the surface layer of coated screw was maintained relatively well. However surface wearing and irregular titanium fragments were found in non-coated screw.
