High rate dry etching of Si in fluorine-based inductively coupled plasmas

  • Four different Fluorine-based gases ($SF_6/,NF_3, PF_5,\; and \; BF_3$) were examined for high rate Inductively Coupled Plasma etching of Si. Etch rates up to ~8$\mu\textrm{m}$/min were achieved with pure $SF_6$ discharges at high source power (1500 W) and pressure (35 mTorr). A direct comparison of the four feedstock gases under the same plasma conditions showed the Si etch rate to increase in the order $BF_3$ < $NF_3$< $PF_5$ < $SF_6$. This is in good correlation with the average bond energies of the gases, except for $NF_3$, which is the least strongly bound. Optical emission spectroscopy showed that the ICP source efficiently dissociated $NF_3$, but the etched Si surface morphologies were significantly worse with this gas than with the other 3 gases.

  • It analyzes the quality of the fine aggregate which is reproduced through a dry production process with cyclone and a wet production process. The conclusions of the study are as follows. 1. The recycled fine aggregate through the dry production process with cyclone shows the low rate of absorption and impurity content after the cyclone process. It shows that its density is 2.37, absorption rate is 4.8 and stability is $5.1\%$ and less. Therefore, it satisfies the standards of KS F 2573(recycled aggregate for concrete) as the first grade. 2. The recycled fine aggregate through the wet production process shows the low rate of absorption and foreign substance content after the process of wash and dehydration. It shows that its density is 2.40, absorption rate is 3.12 and stability is $3.2\%$ and less. Therefore, it satisfies the standards of KS F 2573(recycled aggregate for concrete) as the first grade.

  • In order to investigate the characteristics for RNA accumulation, continuous cultures of S. cerevisiae MTY62 under the carbon-limitation or carbon-phosphate-limitation were performed. In the carbon-limited chemostat, the highest RNA content of 144 mg-RNA/g-dry cell was observed at the dilution rate of $0.30\;hr^{-1}$. In the carbon and phosphate-limited chemostat, the culture condition with the dilution rate of $0.25\;hr^{-1}$ gave the maximal RNA content of 209 mg-RNA/g-dry cell. The accumulation rate of RNA $(mg-RNA/L\;{\cdot}\;hr)$ was decreased at higher dilution rate in the carbon and phosphate-limited chemostat.

알루미늄 판 표면에 용사된 Al/SiC의 마모 거동 (Wear Behavior of Al/SiC in Thermal Spray Process)

  • Tribologcal property of the ceramics used in severe condition was investigated and both $Al_2O_3$ ball and Al/SiC composite made by thermal spray process[TSP] were used as a specimen in this study. Four kinds of material couple in ball and disk specimens were tested in the dry condition by using ball-on-disk type tribo-tester. Friction coefficient, surface roughness, wear rate, and photograph of the worn surface were investigated. Generally, High SiC contents[$40{\sim}50%$] specimens showed very low friction coefficient below 0.05 and little wear rate in dry condition. And also, low SiC contents[0%] specimens showed a moderate wear rate and high coefficient of friction at the same condition.

Dry etching of ZnO thin film using a $CF_4$ mixed by Ar

  • In this paper, the etching behavior of ZnO in $CF_4$ plasma mixed Ar was investigated. Previously, the etch rate in $CF_4$/Ar plasma was reported that it is slower than that in Cl containing plasma. But, plasma included Cl atom can produce the by-product such as $ZnCl_2$. In order to solve this film contamination, no Cl containing etching gas is required. We controlled the etching parameter such as source power, substrate bias power, and $CF_4$/Ar gas ratio to acquire the fast etch rate using a ICP etcher. We accomplished the etching rate of 144.85 nm/min with the substrate bias power of 200W. As the energetic fluorine atoms were bonded with Zinc atoms, the fluoride zinc crystal ($ZnF_2$) was observed by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS).

Effects of Fertilizer Levels on Dry Matter Yield and Nutritional Quality of Forage Rye

  • To find out the optimum fertilizer level for high yielding variety, Paldanghomil, experiment was conducted with 15 compositions of fertilizer levels at the experiment field of forage rye in Sunchon National University from Sep. 1998 to Aug. 1999. The effects of nitrogen fertilizer on plant growth were large significant but increasing rate of application in potassium and phosphate fertilizers above 10kg/10a had negligible effects on plant growth. Raising nitrogen application rate of fertilizers turned out to be 18-10-10kg/l0a of N-P$_2$O$_{5}$-K$_2$O. Content of crude protein was the highest and that of crude fiber such as NDF, ADF, cellulose and lignin were lowest at this rate. Furthermore, IVDMD was high and dry matter yield were the highest at the optimum rate.e.

Factors in Dry Period Associated with Intramammary Infection and Subsequent Clinical Mastitis in Early Postpartum Cows

  • The objective of this study was to determine cow characteristics and farm management factors during the dry period associated with early postparturient intramammary infection (IMI) and subsequent clinical mastitis (CM). Data were collected three times: before drying off (P1), during the dry period (P2), and 5 to 14 days after calving (P3), using questionnaires and farm investigation. Milk samples were aseptically collected for bacterial identification at P1 and P3. Factors associated with IMI and CM were analyzed using multiple logistic regression models. The final model showed that IMI in early postpartum was significantly associated with full insertion of dry cow antibiotic, dry cows in barns with a combination of tie and free stalls, body condition score (BCS) in dry period and after calving, and milk yield before drying off. For IMI cows, factors significantly associated with clinical expression of mastitis were having daily barn cleaning, teat disinfected with alcohol before administration of dry cow therapy, BCS before drying off, milk yield before drying off, and days in milk at drying off. In conclusion, both cow and farm management factors are associated with the IMI rate and subsequent expression of clinical signs of mastitis in early postpartum cows.

기계적-화학적 활성화와 티오요소-티오시안산염 혼합용액에 의한 Au·Ag 용출 향상 (Enhancement of Au·Ag Leaching by Mechanochemical Activation and Thiourea-Thiocyanate Mixing Solution)

  • Au 정광으로부터 Au Ag의 용출율을 향상시키기 위하여 기계적-화학적 활성화와 티오요소-티오시안산염 혼합용액을 적용하였다. 기계적-화학적 활성화를 이루기 위하여 정광 시료를 건식으로 그리고 습식으로 미분쇄하였다. 입도분포 분석과 XRD 분석 결과, 평균 입도 크기와 결정크기는 정광 시료보다 건식-시료에서 그리고 건식-시료보다 습식-시료에서 더 작게 나타났다. SEM과 XRD 분석 결과 기계적-화학적 활성화에 의해서 습식-시료에서 비정질화 현상이 관찰되었다. Au Ag에 대한 용출실험을 티오요소 용액, 티오시안산염 용액 그리고 티오요소-티오시안산염 혼합 용액으로 각각 수행하였다. Au Ag 용출율은 정광 시료보다 건식-시료에서 그리고 건식-시료보다 습식-시료에서 더 높게 나타났다. Au Ag는 티오요소 용액에서 보다 티오시안산염 용액에서 그리고 티오시안산염 용액에서보다 티오요소-티오시안산염 혼합 용액에서 더 높게 용출되었다. 습식-시료와 티오요소-티오시안산염 혼합 용액을 적용할 때 Au Ag가 99% 이상으로 용출되었다.

파종시기 및 파종량이 총체보리의 생육특성 및 수행에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Seeding Date and Rate on the Agronomic Characteristics and Yield of Forage Barley)

  • 본 연구는 답리작에서 사일리지용 총체보리를 파종시기와 파종량에 따른 생육특성, 생초 및 건물수량에 미치는 영향을 구명하고자 수원 소재 축산연구소에서 2001년 10월부터 2003년 5월까지 3년간 수행하였다. 본 연구는 분할구 시험법으로 3반복 설계 배치하였으며, 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 총체보리의 초장은 일찍 파종하는 것이 높게 나타났으며, 건물률에 있어서도 일찍 파종할수록 높았다. 즉, 10월 5일과 20일 그리고 11월 5일에 파종했을 때 각각 47.4, 41.5 그리고 34.5%였다. 그리고 파종 시기에 따른 ha당 생초수량은 파종시기가 늦어짐에 따라 30,090 kg에서 16,018 kg으로 적었으며 건물수량에 있어서도 14,230 kg에서 5,521 kg으로 적었다(p<0.05). 따라서 본 시험의 결과를 종합하면 우리나라 답리작 논에서 총체보리의 ha당 생산성을 높이기 위해서 파종시기는 10월 20일 이전이고 ha당 파종량은 220 kg/ha로 파종하는 것이 바람직하다고 생각된다.

Orchargrass 품종의 월동성 비교 (Comparison of Winter Hardiness in Orchardgrass Varieties)

  • 대관령지역에서 orehardgrass 17개 품종을 공시하 여 월동성지수와 상대경수출현율당 개체중에 의한 월동성의 품종간 차이를 비교함과 동시에 월동성검 정에 유효한 형질을 평가하고자 하였다. 1. 월동전 유식물체의 초세는 l번초의 개체중과 상대경수출현융당 개체중과는 유의한 부의 상관을 나타내었다 2. I번초의 개체중은 개체당경수,I경중,포장생존율, 출수율 및 출수경중과는 유의한 정상관이 인정되었다 3. I번초의 개체중은 월동성지수와는 5%수준, 상대 경수출현율당 개체중과는 1%수준의 유의한 정상관이 인정되었다. 4 .월동성지수는 포장생존율과 상대경수출현융당 개체중은 1경중 및 출수경중과 각각 1%수준의 정상 관이 인정되었다. 5 월동성 지수에 의하여 2품종군으로 분류할 수 있는데 월동성지수가 100이상인 품종에는 Hallmark, lna, Rancho, Amba, Filippa, Sparta, Hokuto, Kitam midori, Okamidori, Wasemidori, Shinyo, Potomac 그리고 Summer-green의 13개 품종이 포함되었고, 월동성지수가 100미만의 품종에는 Able, Juno, Napier 그리고 Jesper의 4개 품종이 포함되었다. 6. 상대경수출현융당 개체중에 의해서도 2 품종군 으로 분류할 수 있는데 상대경수출현율당 개체중이 l 1.0이 상의 품종에 는 Amba, Okamidori, Wasemidori 그리고 Summer-green의 4개 품종이 포함되었고, 100미만의 품종에는 Able, Hallmark, lna, Juno,Napier, Rancho, Filippa, Jesper, Sparta, Hokuto, K Kitamidori, Shinyo 그리고 Potomac의 13개 품종이 포함되였다 상대경수출현율당 개체중이 1.0이상으로 월동성이 높은 품종은 Amba, Okamidori, Wasemidori, Sum¬m$\varepsilon$r-gr$\varepsilon$en 의 4개 품종이었으며 이 들 품종들의 월 동 성지수는 100이상을 나타내였다. 7 .상대경수출현율당 개체중은 대관령지역(해발 8 800m)에서 월동성을 나타내는 유효한 생태적인 형질 이라고 생각되었다.
