부족팽창 습공기 제트의 마하디스크 거동에 관한 수치적 연구 (A Computational Study of the Mach Disk in Under-Expanded Moist Air Jet)

  • A computational study is performed to clarify the characteristics of supersonic moist air jet issuing from a simple sonic nozzle. The effects of the initial supersaturation on the Mach disk diameter and location, the barrel shock wave and jet boundary structures are investigated in details. The axisymmetric, compressible, Navier-Stokes equations, coupled with droplet growth equation, are solved using a third-order MUSCL type TVD finite-difference scheme. It is found that the Mach disk diameter increases with an increase in relative humidity of moist air. while its location is not significantly dependent on the relative humidity. As the relative humidity increases, the barrel shock wave and jet boundary are more expanded due to the local static pressure rise of nonequilibrium condensation.

단열식 오리피스를 적용한 고속회전 분무노즐의 미립화 특성 (Atomization Characteristics of the High Speed Rotating Injection System with Single Column Orifice)

  • The spray characteristics of the high speed rotating fuel injection system were studied. The five variants of rotating fuel nozzle were used by spray test. The diameter of single column injection orifices are varied from 1 mm, 2 mm, 3 mm, 4 mm and 5 mm. We constructed high speed rotating test rig and measured droplet size by PDPA (Phase Doppler Particle Analyzer) system. Also spray was visualized by using high speed camera. In the test results, we could understand that length of liquid column from the injection orifice is mainly controlled by the rotational speeds. SMD is decreased with increasing injection orifice diameter and rotational speeds. Furthermore, from the comparison to the theoritical calculation, we confirmed that SMD is influenced by the liquid film thickness which is formed inner surface of injection orifice.

  • Correlations of drop size and velocity in a spray from the disintegration of liquid jet and liquid film from an internal mixing twin-fluid atomizer, were determined by phase Doppler method. The distribution pattern of Sauter mean diameter(SMD) in a spray was changed by a behavior of liquid flow. As smaller droplets became faster and slower easily by the surrounding conditions, the correlation between drop size and mean velocity was found to be varied as next 3 steps; firstly smaller droplets have a higher mean velocity at the area near atomizer, droplets have almost the same mean velocity and finally larger droplets have a higher mean velocity at the area far from an atomizer.

  • Electrostatic printing either it is drop-on-demand or continuous has immense applications in non-contact printing systems such as solar cells, flexible printed circuits, RFIDs and bio applications. In this paper a laboratory manufactured nozzle has been designed for the experimental investigation of electrostatic dripping and atomization of liquid. Dripping and atomization conditions such as voltage, nozzle tip diameter, distance between counter electrode and flowrate has been indentified for the designed nozzle. Furthermore it is also demonstrated that the diameter of a generated droplet could be reduced from a significantly large size to a narrow size distribution which can be controlled by volumetric flow rate and applied voltage. This study will help in classify the conditions between different electrostatic dripping mode such as drop-on-demand formation, jet mode and finally the atomization mode based on the laboratory fabricated nozzle head.

수중으로 방출되는 유류의 유적화에 관한 실험연구 (An Experimental Investigation of the Underwater Oil Drop Formation)

  • 수중에서 방출되는 기름의 유적화 현상을 축대칭 실험을 통하여 살펴보았다. 노즐의 직경과 방출속도를 변화시키면 생성되는 유적과 제트의 크기 및 형상, 그리고 생성된 유적의 상승 거동을 관찰하였다. 노즐의 직경을 이용하는 레이놀즈수가 증가하면서, 유적의 크기는 감소하다가 증가하면 다양한 크기의 유적이 폭발적으로 생성되는 영역으로 변해간다. 통시에 제트의 긱이는 유통의 축대칭이 유지되는 한계까지는 증가하다가 축대칭이 무너지는 영역에서는 감소하는, 유적의 크기와는 반대의 현상을 나타낸다.

마이크로 기둥 구조의 크기가 소유성 특성 발현에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Dimensions of Micro-post on Oleophobic Property)

  • The oleophobic property of surfaces modified with micro-post structures are investigated for a range of micro-post diameter ($11-23{\mu}m$) and pitch ($20-40{\mu}m$). The contact angle of an oil droplet on surfaces with various micro-post dimensions was calculated using the Cassie-Baxter model and did not show a good agreement with the measured contact angle. From measurement, the micro-post with diameter of $23{\mu}m$ and pitch of $32{\mu}m$ was found to have the highest contact angle ($134.3^{\circ}$).

  • 본 연구의 목적은 다양한 분위기 압력 하에서 커먼레일 디젤인젝터를 통해 분사되는 비증발 디젤 분무특성에 관한 연구이다. 디젤분무의 거시적 특성으로 분무관통거리와 분무각을 음영사진과 이미지프로세싱으로 연구하였다. 수치해석은 상용 CFD프로그램인 AVL-FIRE를 사용하였다. 분열모델은 WAVE모델을 사용하였으며 표준 $k-{\varepsilon}$난류모델을 적용하였다. 분무각과 Zeuch법을 적용한 연료 분사율을 수치해석의 입력값으로 사용하였다. 분무관통거리를 실험값과 비교하여 좋은 결과를 얻었고 수치해석을 통하여 노즐팁 하류방향으로 분무의 각 구간별 액적입경분포를 알아보았다.

무인항공 변량방제 시스템의 살포 균일도 분석 (Uniformity Analysis of Unmanned Aerial Application with Variable Rate Spray System)

  • 본 연구에서는 변량방제기술을 적용한 농용 회전익기를 이용하여 살포한 입자의 구간비행 상태에서의 거리별 살포 패턴을 측정함으로써 무인 항공방제의 농약 부착률과 입자경의 분포 균일도를 평가하였다. 비행을 등속으로 유지하는 안내비행과 자동비행 모드에서 유효살포폭 3.6m로 인접비행 구간과 살포폭이 일부 중첩된 피복률에 대한 가로방향 분포의 변이계수는 30% 정도를 보였고, 비행방향 진로위치에 대한 피복률의 변이계수는 10% 미만으로 매우 균등한 것으로 평가되었다. 따라서 살포작업시 기체의 지면속도(ground speed)의 변이를 보상하는 변량살포기술은 균일도 측면에서 우수한 것으로 판명되었으며, 또한 입자경의 분포에 있어서 체적중위직경(VMD)과 개체중위직경(NMD) 모두 항공방제에 적절한 크기와 균일한 분포를 보였다. 따라서 농용 회전익기를 이용하여 소필지의 항공방제작업을 무인화 하는데 있어, 변량방제장치를 적용함으로써 소규모 필지의 균일 정밀방제를 도모하고자 하였다.

액-액 교반조내에서의 물질이동용량계수 및 액적경의 특성 (Characteristic of Mass Transfer Volumetric Coefficient and Sauter Mean Diameter in a Liquid-Liquid Agitated Vessel)

  • 환경 및 화학공업에서 액-액 교반조내의 특성을 파악하는 일은 매우 중요하다. 액적 부근의 물질이동용량계수 $k_La$와 Sauter 평균경 $d_{32}$은 에스테르의 알칼리 가수분해반응을 이용하여 임펠러 부착위치나 액높이를 변화시켜 측정하였다. 그 결과 아래와 같은 이들의 양호한 상관식을 얻었다. $$d_{32}=0.270\(\frac{{\sigma}^{0.6}}{{\rho}^{0.2}P^{0.4}_{Vi}}\)k_La=0.49\(\frac{6{\phi}D_A}{d^2_{32}}\)\(\frac{P_Vd^4_{32}}{{\rho}v^3}\)^{0.193}Sc^{1/3}$$.

운전조건에 따른 공기보조 분사기의 Sauter 평균입경에 대한 고찰 (Investigation on the Sauter Mean Diameter of an Air-Assisted Fuel Injector -Operating Parameter Consideration)

  • Drop size distribution of an air-assisted fuel injector(AAFI) was investigated. Influence of parameters such as ambient air density supply pressure and air-liquid mass ratio(ALR) was examined through both measurement and analysis. The Sauter mean diameter$D_{32}$ varied from 9 to 25$\mu$m throughout all experimental conditions. An empirical correlation for droplet size was obtained. Analytical correlations for predicting $D_{32}$ with respect to operating conditions were also derived through energy consideration and introduction of a simplified model of the from the empirical fitting was adapted to the original equation the proposed correlation in this study matched more closely with measured results. The current correlation exhibited a favorable study matched more closely with measured results. The current correlation exhibited a favorable prediction for $D_{32}$ compared to that by the empirical correlation at selected experimental conditions so that it may be used to predict atomization performance of the AAFI at operating conditions which was not covered in the measurements. After validation the analytical equation was applied to survey the feasible operating conditions for gasoline direct injection application.
