개방형 프레임 구조물의 볼트 조인트 강도해석 (Strength Analysis of Bolt Joints for an Open Frame Structure)

  • An open frame structure is fastened by bolt joints for strength and shock attenuation. Therefore the full finite element model of an open frame structure should be properly modeled including bolt joints for strength analysis of the frames and joint assemblies which are operated under multi-loading conditions such as driving, drop, inertia and torsional loads. Then the joints and frames must satisfy the specified allowable strength constraints. Because the full finite element model has a large number of elements to perform strength analysis, a detailed fine bolt analysis seems to be very expensive. Therefore bolts of the full finite element model are approximately modeled by coupling method to constrain degree of freedoms between adjacent nodes. However, the coupling method can exaggerate stress results at the constrained nodes. Thus a detailed bolt analysis and a theoretical/experiential formula of bolts for a worst bolt joint are performed using reaction force applied both bolt and bolt joint. Finally, the results from the two methods are compared and discussed to verify the safety of the open frame structure.

  • 고분자 전해질 연료전지 스택의 성능향상과 안전성 확보를 위하여 스택의 체결하중으로 인한 가스켓과 GDL의 구조적 거동을 살펴보았다. 가스켓 구조 해석의 경우 하중과 변위의 초탄성 거동을 표현하기 위하여 Mooney-Rivlin의 변형률에너지 함수를 사용하였으며, 재료물성을 구하기 위하여 단축 인장 및 등가 이축 인장 시험을 수행하였고 유한요소 해석과 비교하였다. GDL의 물성측정을 위하여 압축 하중의 변화에 따라 두께변화를 측정하였고 단위 셀을 제작하여 하중의 변화에 따른 채널의 압력차를 측정하였다. 실험 데이터를 바탕으로 채널 단면적의 변화를 계산, 유한요소 해석결과와 비교하였다.

  • In order to perform elastic-plastic fracture mechanical analyses, fracture resistance curves for concerned materials are required. 1T-CT specimen was used to obtain fracture resistance curves. But the fracture resistance curve by the 1T-CT specimen was very conservative to evaluate the integrity of the structure. And fracture resistance curve was affected by the specimen geometry and crack plane orientation. The objective of this paper is to be certain the conservativeness of the fracture resistance curve by the 1T-CT specimen and to provide the additional safety margin. For these, the fracture tests using the real pipe specimen and standard 1T-CT specimen test were performed. 4-point bending jig was manufactured for pipe test and direct current potential drop method was used to measure the crack extension and length for pipe test. From the pipe and the 1T-CT specimen test results, it was observed that the J-integral of the 1T-CT specimen test at the crack initiation point was very small compare to that of the pipe specimen test.

  • Due to the application of Integrated Head Assembly (IHA) in KSNP+ reactor design, an investigation of reactor internals integrity is carried out to assure that the adoption of IHA does not affect the safety of reactor operation. One of the postulated accident events is the R.V. closure head fall from 5.5m high directly above the reactor vessel that may occur during the refueling operation. The analysis model consists of lumped mass elements of the entire reactor vessel and internals. Because of extreme load, separate elastic-plastic analyses are done for the members that undergo plastic deformation. The analysis verified that the stresses of the reactor internals and the fuel assemblies are within the bound of allowable stress limits and the integrity of the fuel assemblies is maintained.

성인 머리모형 임팩터의 FE 모델 개발 (Development and Validation of FE Adult Headform Impactor for Pedestrian Protection)

  • Head injury is one of the most common cause of deaths in car-to-pedestrian collisions. To reduce the severity of such injuries, many international safety committees have performed headform impact test for pedestrian protection. In this paper, an adult headform impactor model is developed based on the finite element (FE) method and validated through the numerical simulation. The skin material of headform impactor is known as polyvinyl chloride skin (PVC) and its material was assumed as viscoelastic. The viscoelastic parameters of headform skin are identified by a series of trial and error methods. The new developed FE adult headform impactor is verified by the drop test and FE JARI adult headform impactor provided by Madymo program.

세라믹 코팅 Al 부스바의 열적·기계적 특성 (Thermal and Mechanical Properties of Ceramic Coated Al Bus Bar)

  • This paper deals with the thermal and mechanical properties of ceramic coating material for bus bars. A ceramic coated samples were prepared for the mechanical properties test. There are two types of samples. One is a square shape and the other is a busbar shape. Each sample was deteriorated for 30 days to compare the thermal and mechanical properties with the non-degraded samples. Two thermal properties tests are TGA and flammability tests, and four mechanical properties tests are drop impact test, cross cut, tensile test, and bend test. The ceramic coating material was never damaged by impact and did not separate from aluminum in the cross cut test. In the tensile test, the breakage of the insulating material did not occur until aluminum fractured, and the breakage of the insulating material did not occur until the maximum load in the bending test. The decomposition temperature (melting point) of the ceramic coating material was higher than that of other epoxy insulators. This ceramic coating material is nonflammable and it has excellent fire stability.

발전소용 고압 바이패스 밸브 내부 유동해석 (Analysis of Flow through High Pressure Bypass Valve in Power Plant)

  • In the present work, flow analysis has been performed in the steam turbine bypass control valve (single-path type) for two different cases i.e., case with steam only and case with both steam and water. The numerical analysis is performed by solving three-dimensional Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes (RANS) equations. The shear stress transport (SST) model and $k-{\varepsilon}$ model are used to each different case as turbulence closure. Symmetry condition is applied at the mid plane of the valve while adiabatic condition is used at the outer wall of the cage. Grid independency test is performed to find the optimal number of grid points. The pressure and temperature distributions on the outer wall of the cage are analyzed. The mass flow rate at maximum plug opening condition is compared with the designed mass flow rate. The numerical analysis of multiphase mixing flow(liquid and vapor) is also performed to inspect liquid-vapor volume fraction of bypass valve. The result of volume fraction is useful to estimate both the safety and confidence of valve design.

표면냉각시스템을 이용한 PV 모듈의 출력 향상 (Improving the power of PV module by a surface cooling system)

  • This study was conducted to improve the power of PV module using a surface cooling system. One of the unique characteristics of PV module is power drop as a module surface temperature increases due to the characteristics of crystalline silicon used in a solar cell. To overcome the output power reduction by temperature effect, module surface cooling using water circulation was performed. By cooling effect, module surface temperature drops maximally $20.3^{\circ}C$ predicting more than 10% power enhancement. Maximum deviation of voltage and current between a control and cooled module differed by 5.1V and 0.9A respectively. The maximum power enhancement by cooling system was 12.4% compared with a control module. In addition, cooling system can wash the module surface by water circulation so that extra power up of PV module can be achieved by removing particles on the surface which interfere solar radiation on the cells. Cooling system, besides, can reduce the maintenance cost and prevent accidents as a safety precaution while cleaning works. This system can be applied to the existing photovoltaic power generation facilities without any difficulties as well.

  • 근래 천공된 고막에 Ear drop를 사용하는 것은 그 효과가 의간시되 오고, 또 그 안전성도 도전을 받아왔다. 전신적으로 투여하였을때는 이독성이 없는 많은 약제들도, 중이강에 국소적으로 투여했을 때는 이독성이 될수있다. Stupp등(1973)에 의하면, Neomycin, polymyxin-G, gentamycin, erythromycin, tetracycline penicillin중, 다만 penicillin만이 독작용이 없다고 알려져 있다. Ototoxic antibiotics는 round window막을 투과하여 내이, perilymph에 들어가고 또다시 Reissner's막을 통하여 Endolymph에 이르게 된다고 보고있다. 주병변은 Stria vascularis의 degeneration, Sensory epithelia의 degeneration 및 Ganglion cell의 degeneration을 이르킨다. 63세 여자의 양측천공성 만성 중이염 환자가 가정에서 중이강내에 Terramycin분말 한 Capsule을 양이에 나누어 넣고, 심한 Sensorineural Deafness를 초래, 6개월이 지난 현재, 병변의 호전을 보지못하고 있는 일증례를 문헌적고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다.
