다양한 환경에서 강건한 RGB-Depth-Thermal 카메라 기반의 차량 탑승자 점유 검출 (Robust Vehicle Occupant Detection based on RGB-Depth-Thermal Camera)

  • Recently, the safety in vehicle also has become a hot topic as self-driving car is developed. In passive safety systems such as airbags and seat belts, the system is being changed into an active system that actively grasps the status and behavior of the passengers including the driver to mitigate the risk. Furthermore, it is expected that it will be possible to provide customized services such as seat deformation, air conditioning operation and D.W.D (Distraction While Driving) warning suitable for the passenger by using occupant information. In this paper, we propose robust vehicle occupant detection algorithm based on RGB-Depth-Thermal camera for obtaining the passengers information. The RGB-Depth-Thermal camera sensor system was configured to be robust against various environment. Also, one of the deep learning algorithms, OpenPose, was used for occupant detection. This algorithm is advantageous not only for RGB image but also for thermal image even using existing learned model. The algorithm will be supplemented to acquire high level information such as passenger attitude detection and face recognition mentioned in the introduction and provide customized active convenience service.

  • 본 논문에서는 사고 자동인식 서비스 제공과 위험 운전 여부 등을 통하여 운전자의 운전습관을 교정해 주고 사고 전후의 동영상을 재현하는 확장성이 높은 모바일 블랙박스 DVR (SMBD, Smart Mobile Blackbox DVR) 컴퓨터의 모델링 설계를 하였다. SMBD는 임베디드 시스템에 무선 기능을 탑재하여 차량이 휴면상태에서도 사고발생 지점과 영상정보를 무선통신을 이용하여 24시간 관제센터에 통보함으로써 긴급구난 서비스 및 교통정보를 제공 받을 수 있다. 또한 차량 ECU(Electronic Control Unit)의 차량정보 및 센서 데이터와 연동하여 무선 eCall (Emergency Call) 서비스를 실현할 수 있다.

  • 농업인구의 감소, 고령화 등의 문제를 해결하기 위해 다양한 농작업의 자동화를 목적으로 농업용 로봇의 연구가 활발히 진행 중이다. 농가 작업 중 가장 노동력이 많이 투입되는 과정은 수확 과정으로 타 과정 대비 약 2~3배 소모된다. 농가의 수확물 이송 작업은 인건비가 가장 많이 들고 작업 중 부상의 위험성도 있기 때문에 이송 작업을 농업용 로봇을 통해 자동화시키면 안전성 향상과 더불어 생산성을 대폭 향상할 수 있다. 따라서 본 논문은 농가 작업 현장에 최적화되고 자율주행이 가능한 농업용 로봇을 제안한다.

  • In order to confirm the safety against vibration of high-pressure fittings for mobile hydrogen charging devices, the natural frequency was confirmed through ANSYS, and vibration data occurring during driving was applied to utilize the vehicle's operating power spectral density data specified in MIL-STD-810H regulations. Fatigue analysis and resonance were confirmed, and as a result, it was confirmed that the sum of the pure phase ratios was less than 1 for the driving history presented in the standard, and there was no risk of resonance.

동적 특성을 고려한 수소 튜브 트레일러의 구조 안전성 평가 (Evaluation of Structural Safety for Hydrogen Tube Trailer Considering Dynamic Property)

  • Recently, hydrogen energy has been widely used because of strict regulations on greenhouse gas emissions. For using the hydrogen energy, it is required to supply hydrogen through a tube trailer. However hydrogen tube trailer can have excessive load problems during transportation due to reasons such as road shape and driving method, which may lead a risk of hydrogen leakage. So it is necessary to secure a high level of safety. The purpose of this study is to evaluate structural safety for the conservative design of hydrogen tube trailer. First, finite element(FE) modeling of the designed hydrogen tube trailer was performed. After that, safety evaluation method was established through static structural simulation based on the standard GC207 conditions. In addition, effectiveness of the designed model was confirmed through the results of the structural safety evaluation. Finally, driving simulation was used to derive acceleration graph according to time, which was considered as a dynamic property for the evaluation of conservative tube trailer safety evaluation. And dynamic structural simulation was conducted as a condition for actual transportation of tube trailer by applying dynamic properties. As a results, conservative safety was evaluated through dynamic structural simulation and the safety of hydrogen tube trailer was confirmed through satisfaction of the safety rate.

항타 시공 작업자를 위한 비접촉식 관입량 측정기 개발 (Development of Non-Contact Penetration Measuring Device for Pile Driving Workers)

  • At the construction site of the driving site, the pile rebound and penetration measurements are performed manually to determine the end point of the driving operation, thereby causing the measurer to be exposed to a death accident. In this study, in order to eliminate the risk of this work, a non-contact penetration measuring device was developed and usability evaluation was conducted. The penetration measuring device is manufactured based on the ultrasonic sensor, and can be combined with the pile to deliver the data in real time, and the delivered data can be output in real time on the portable PC and the final penetration can be calculated. Usability evaluation on the device was conducted by comparison with manual work. Usability evaluation was largely evaluated on measured values, subjective comfort, and body parts comfort. The result of the measured value tended to overestimate the value measured manually by the measuring device, which is similar to the previous research. In terms of subjective comfort and body part comfort, overall satisfaction was higher than the manual method when using the measuring device. Taken together, these results indicate that it is possible to use the rudder measuring device in place of manual work in the construction site, and it is judged that the worker's comfort is greatly increased by using the measuring machine. The results of this study suggest that the use of non-contact measuring device in the field can be used as basic data to support them.

운전자 의도정보를 이용한 온톨로지 기반 지능형자동차 상황인식 플랫폼 설계 및 구현 (Design and Implementation of ontology based context-awareness platform using driver intent information)

  • 본 논문에서는 주행상황의 자동차 정보를 인식하기 위하여 차량, 운전자, 환경 정보와 함께 주행상태 정보, 운전자상태 정보를 추가하여 실시간으로 바뀌는 운전행동에 대한 정보를 상황인식에 활용하여 운전자의 의도를 반영할 수 있도록 하였으며, 온톨로지 기반 상황인식 모델을 구성하여 다양한 상황에서의 상황인식이 가능하게 설계하였다. 상황정보의 획득방법으로 운전자 정보와 주행정보는 카메라를 이용한 영상인식 기술을 활용하며, 자동차 정보는 OBD-II 프로토콜을 이용한 정보 획득 장치를 이용한다. 실험결과 운전자 상태정보와 주행정보의 분석을 통하여 운전자 의도를 반영한 제안 시스템이 고속주행 상황에서의 차선이탈 경고 서비스 및 저속주행 상황에서의 안전거리 경보서비스를 위한 상황인식에 있어서 기존의 차량, 운전자, 환경정보를 활용한 방식보다 운전자 안전지원 서비스에 우수한 성능을 확인할 수 있었다.

화물자동차 보조 후미등화장치 설치에 따른 운전자 시인성 변화 (Legibility Change of Commercial Vehicles Equipped with the Rear Lighting System)

  • PURPOSES : The purpose of this system (Rear Lighting System) is to provide illumination for the driver to operate the commercial vehicle safely after dark in highway, to increase the conspicuity of the vehicle, and especially be suggesting the finest observable improvement method, depending on color and pattern of rear lighting system of truck for midnight highway traffic. METHODS : Rear lightning system as an improving way for forward commercial vehicles lighting the securing sight from human factors and the surrounding environment in midnight driving. For this one, basic materials were collected from the data analysis about many types of problems, and filed investigation for establishing Driving Simulator. also taking statistic test to human volunteers after finding recognizable distance of them. RESULTS : As a result, color with the highest visuality is amber followed by green-red-blue as in order for all road types. Especially almost no difference is found between red and green, also when the light is turn off, recognizable distances is wide difference compared to turn on the light. One more thing about study per pattern, upper and entire lighting have similar recognizable distances, but under lighting shows short distance with difficulty securing sight from medians. And straight section shows similar recognizable distances. By finding visuality improvement method depending on color and pattern of supplement taillight, it is expected to suggest quantitative judgement standard for introducing regulation and improvement of supplement taillight. CONCLUSIONS : Night time vehicle conspicuity to the rear is provided by rear position lamps. this study is showed that the color of light ramp is not important to be safe driving, most important is to turn on the light, recognizable distances is big different compared to turn off the rear light, so when the drivng dark in highway, have to turn on the light for reducing risk.

The Complex Interrelationship of Work-Related Factors Underlying Risky Driving Behavior of Food Delivery Riders in Athens, Greece

  • Background: In this study, the association of work and demographic characteristics with different traffic offenses committed by food delivery riders in Greece was examined. Previous research has identified various factors related to risky driving however, there is a need for exploring the complex interrelationship of work-related factors underlying risky driving behavior. Materials and Methods: A 2-items uestionnaire was used exploring delivery riders demographic characteristics, terms of employment, issues of concern during work and type of traffic offenses committed. In total, uestionnaires were analyzed using logistic regression in order to identify characteristics independently associated with serious traffic offenses, namely, red-light running and helmet non-use. Results: The analysis showed that: (i) typical health and safety measures had no effect on serious traffic offenses, (ii) young age was related to both offenses however (iii) different sets of work conditions were associated with reports of red-light running (i.e. low work experience, use of personal vehicle for work, and payment by hour) and helmet non-use respectively (i.e. intense work pace, high tip income per day and low concern about vehicle condition). Conclusion: The above findings provide evidence that serious traffic offenses are manifestations of underlying conflict experienced by the riders between safety and various performance criteria. Each one of the two offenses is related to different rider profiles aiming to satisfy different goals, namely, those mainly trying to maximize profit non-helmet users and those, mostly inexperienced ones, trying to cope with work pressure red light runners. Potential regulatory measures to alleviate risky practices are discussed.

IoT 가드레일 기반의 고속도로 사고감지 및 경보 시스템 설계 (Design of Highway Accident Detection and Alarm System Based on Internet of Things Guard Rail)

  • 현재 전 세계적으로 ICT 스마트시티의 일환으로 도시교통 문제해결을 위한 차세대 지능형 교통시스템인 C-ITS(Cooperative-Intelligent Transport Systems) 구축을 추진하고 있다. C-ITS와 함께 자율주행 서비스를 실현하기 위해서는 첨단 도로 인프라의 역할이 중요하다. 그리고 중장기적인 C-ITS, 자율주행서비스의 연구와 함께 단기적으로 도로 교통안전을 위한 보다 현실적인 솔루션 제시가 필요하다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 IoT 가드 레일을 기반으로 C-ITS의 필수 요구정보인 교통흐름과 사고위험 정보를 감지·분석하여, 도로 현장에 즉각적인 경보와 원격 모니터링을 제공할 수 있는 고속도로 사고감지 및 경보 시스템을 제안한다. 지능형 IoT 가드 레일은 장기적으로 C-ITS와 자율주행 서비스에서 요구하는 실제 도로 현장에서의 데이터를 제공하는 지능적 첨단 도로 인프라로서 활용될 것으로 기대된다.
