차량시뮬레이터를 이용한 초보운전자의 잠재적 운전행동 분석 (The Potential Driving Behavior Analysis of Novice Driver using a Driving Simulator)

  • 본 연구에서는 초보운전자의 교통사고 위험성을 줄이고 초보운전자 교육프로그램 개발의 기초자료를 제공하기 위하여 초보운전자에 대한 심리적 특성 및 운전행동에 관한 분석을 실시하였다. 이때 초보운전자의 심리적 부분은 위험인식정도 및 교통상황 이해도를 확인하는 설문조사를 실시하였으며 주 내용은 위험예측 및 예측불허행동에 관한 특성별 범주로 분류하여 파악하였다. 그리고 차량시뮬레이터를 활용하여 초보 및 일반운전자와의 운전행동 특성을 비교 분석하고 통계결과를 토대로 초보운전자의 실제 운전행동에 있어서의 안전진단과 교통안전교육 기초연구의 방향성을 제시 하였다. 본 연구 분석결과, 운전자의 위험예측, 과속, 위반, 정보제공생략, 갑작스러운 변화, 사고건수 모든 부분에서 초보운전자가 일반운전자에 비해 높은 평균값이 나타났다. 또한 초보운전자가 일반운전자에 비해 통계적으로 유의한 위험수준을 보여주었는데 확인된 대상은 위험예측능력, 위반, 갑작스러운 변화, 교통사고건수이었고 그 이외의 과속 수준과 정보제공생략 수준은 초보운전자와 일반운전자 모두 유사한 결과를 보여주었다. 그리고 차량시뮬레이터 실험 결과는 초보운전자가 일반운전자들에 비해 전반적으로 운전 수행능력이 저조한 것으로 나타났다. 특히 충돌횟수에서의 확연한 차이를 보여주었는데 이는 초보운전자들이 일반운전자들에 비해 복잡한 도로교통 상황에서 운전경험과 학습능력이 부족하기 때문인 것으로 판단된다. 한편 초보운전자들은 일반운전자들에 비해 속도조절 능력, 위험예측 능력, 도로교통상황에 대한 인식 및 대처능력 등 전반적인 운전기술의 부족으로 인해 주행안정성이 낮은 것으로 분석되었다. 이러한 결과는 초보운전자들이 일반운전자에 비해 안전운전교육 학습기회의 결여와 운전경험 미숙 등에 따른 것으로 판단되며 운전 상황에 대한 위험예측능력이 낮은 것으로 해석할 수 있다. 결론적으로 이러한 분석결과는 실제 운전상황에서 초보운전자 자신뿐만 아니라 타인에게도 위험 요소로서 작용할 가능성이 높으므로 적절한 안전대책이 필요한 것으로 판단된다.

  • 자율주행차량(AV)의 기술 발전으로 실도로 내 자율주행이 가능해졌지만, 주변 요소로 AV의 인지 범위 또는 능력이 제한되는 인지 음영으로 완전한 자율주행에 어려움이 있다. 오늘날 Lv 4+ 자율주행 테스트 시나리오를 개발하기 위해서는 실제 도로에서 발생할 수 있는 다양한 인지 음영 상황을 파악하고 대비 전략을 구상하는 것이 중요하다. 따라서, 본 연구는 미국 캘리포니아 차량관리국(DMV)의 AV 사고 데이터를 통해 자율주행 모드 활성화 여부에 따라 AV와 일반차량의 사고 형태와 특성을 비교하고, AV 제어권 전환 데이터를 단계적으로 분류하여 인지 음영으로 인한 제어권 전환의 유형과 실제 사례를 도출하였다. 분석 결과, AV의 안전 운전 기동으로 일반 차량과 다른 사고 유형이 나타났으며, 3가지 유형의 인지 음영 사례를 파악하였다. 본 연구 결과는 Lv 4+ 자율주행 테스트 시나리오 개발의 중요한 기초자료가 될 것이며, 다양한 인지 음영이 고려된 테스트 시나리오를 통해 상황별 인지 음영을 해소하는 효율적인 전략을 마련할 수 있다. 이를 통해 실제 도로에서의 AV 주행 안전성을 효과적으로 평가하고 향상할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

  • Cross-border supply chains undergone complexity in the global trade process, unpredictability and continually evolving regulations and information requirements. Under these circumstances, longer lead time inhibiting quick response to market demands, unanticipated supply chain costs eroding product cost savings, compliance and documentation errors causing delays and fines are challenging global trade companies when they execute global business. These problems are mainly caused by unautomated, unintegrated process which lead to longer and more unpredictable lead times, slower cash flow, cost overruns, and ultimately lower profits and less satisfied customers. Complex and unpredictable global trade environment requires global trade companies of global trade management functions to automate and control this complex environment for driving out cost, time and risk from their business. Global trade management allows cost savings, supply chain efficiencies and improved compliance through improving global supply chain visibility, facilitating cash flow by supply chain financing, enhancing supply chain security and risk management.

Epigenetic Regulation of Chondrocyte Catabolism and Anabolism in Osteoarthritis

  • Osteoarthritis (OA) is one of the most prevalent forms of joint disorder, associated with a tremendous socioeconomic burden worldwide. Various non-genetic and lifestyle-related factors such as aging and obesity have been recognized as major risk factors for OA, underscoring the potential role for epigenetic regulation in the pathogenesis of the disease. OA-associated epigenetic aberrations have been noted at the level of DNA methylation and histone modification in chondrocytes. These epigenetic regulations are implicated in driving an imbalance between the expression of catabolic and anabolic factors, leading eventually to osteoarthritic cartilage destruction. Cellular senescence and metabolic abnormalities driven by OA-associated risk factors appear to accompany epigenetic drifts in chondrocytes. Notably, molecular events associated with metabolic disorders influence epigenetic regulation in chondrocytes, supporting the notion that OA is a metabolic disease. Here, we review accumulating evidence supporting a role for epigenetics in the regulation of cartilage homeostasis and OA pathogenesis.

도로교통 이머징 리스크 탐지를 위한 AutoML과 CNN 기반 소프트 보팅 앙상블 분류 모델 (AutoML and CNN-based Soft-voting Ensemble Classification Model For Road Traffic Emerging Risk Detection)

  • 겨울철 도로 결빙으로 인한 사고는 대부분 큰 사고로 이어진다. 이는 운전자가 도로의 결빙을 사전에 자각하기 어렵기 때문이다. 본 연구에서는 AutoML과 CNN의 앙상블 모델을 이용하여 도로교통 이머징 리스크를 정확하게 탐지하는 방법을 연구한다. 비정형 데이터인 이미지를 이용한 CNN 이미지 특징 추출 기반 도로교통 이머징 리스크 분류 모델과 정형 데이터인 기상 데이터를 이용한 AutoML 기반 도로교통 이머징 리스크 분류 모델을 각각 학습시킨다. 그 후 모델들에서 도출된 확률값을 입력하여 CNN 기반 분류 모델을 보완하도록 앙상블 모델을 설계한다. 이를 통해 도로교통 이머징 리스크 분류 성능을 향상하고 더 정확하고 빠르게 운전자에게 경고하여 안전한 주행이 가능하도록 한다.

철도 차량 운전원의 소음노출 특성 (Exposure to Noise on Railroad Operators)

  • Personal noise exposure was assessed in railroad operators working in 40 operation units including the Gyeongbu line, Honam line, and Janghang line between 2004 and 2006. 8-hour TWA were assessed based on the MOL (Ministry of Labor) guideline on noise evaluation, and 17% of these measurements exceeded 85 dBA while 70% were over 80 dBA. When the ACGIH TLV is adopted, 40% of measurements were over TLV (85 dBA). The noise exposure risk of railroad operators was higher for diesel locomotive operation and longer operational distances; in addition, the risk was higher for passenger car operation compared to freight car driving. Given that in Korea, over the past 30 years diesel locomotives have provided most of the railway's motive power and that hearing protective equipment is not likely to be used by workers during operation, railroad operators are at a high risk of noise-induced hearing loss. The result of audiometric test among 568 railroad operators showed that 32.6% of those tested had a hearing threshold shift of more than 40 dB. In conclusion, this study calls for more fundamental measures including noise control countermeasures within the operation areas, development of equipment that generates less noise and adopting limitation on the operation distance for a work shift.

중년남성 택시운전자의 심혈관질환 위험성에 대한 인식: 포커스그룹 인터뷰를 중심으로 (Perceptions of the Risk of Cardiovascular Disease in Middle-aged Male Taxi Drivers: Focus Group Interviews)

  • Purpose: This study aimed to comprehensively examine middle-aged male taxi drivers' perceptions of the risk of cardiovascular disease. Methods: A qualitative method was used, with focus group interviews. The participants were middle-aged male taxi drivers who had been driving for more than ten years and for more than six hours daily. Results: The data were analyzed using qualitative thematic analysis. Middle-aged male taxi drivers' perceptions of the risk of cardiovascular disease were categorized into three main themes: "individual perceptions of cardiovascular disease", "possibility of behaviors for cardiovascular disease" and "motivations of behaviors for cardiovascular disease". Six sub-themes were extracted as follows: "perception of vulnerability", "perception of seriousness", "perception of profitability", "perception of disability", "self-awareness" and "advancing toward health care". Conclusion: It is necessary to invigorate support systems through measures including education, counseling, and web-based programs to prevent cardiovascular disease in middle-aged male taxi drivers.

소형 굴삭기의 원격제어를 위한 주행 알고리즘 및 통신특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Driving Algorithm and Communication Characteristics for Remote Control of Mini Excavator)

  • Indoor construction site such as building demolition sites, tunnel, vinyl house, and cattle shed are subject to various risk factors such as falling stones, soot and bad odors. However, most of the mini excavators have no cabin that can protect the driver from such risk factors. Therefore, researches on remote control technology of construction equipment are actively conducted as a method for protecting the driver from the risk factors occurring in the working environment. For effective remote control, it is necessary to be able to control the travelling and work using a portable small transmitter. However, due to the limitation of the size of the transmitter, complex operation control is required to control two or more actuators with a single joystick. Also, it is essential to check how remote control characteristics change in various environments such as distance, signal strength, obstacle. Therefore, in this study, an algorithm that can control two actuators simultaneously with a single joystick signal was developed, and a communication method suitable for indoor and outdoor mini construction equipment by analyzing experimentally how the remote control characteristics vary according to various work environments and telecommunication methods proposed.

  • Objectives: Taxi drivers are exposed to various hazards, such as long periods of sedentary work and traffic-related air pollutants. However, studies on the health effects among taxi drivers in South Korea are insufficient. Methods: To assess subclinical hematologic change related to cardiovascular disease among male taxi drivers, we analyzed data from the second Korean National Environmental Health Survey. Fifty-nine taxi drivers and 1,912 controls were included in the analysis. Propensity score matching was performed to adjust for age, body mass index, and urinary cotinine. A total of 295 subjects were matched with 59 taxi drivers. Leukocyte count, platelet count, hematocrit, triglyceride, total cholesterol, HDL cholesterol land total IgE of the taxi drivers were compared with the control groups. Results: Taxi drivers showed significantly elevated blood leukocytes and platelets. Serum total IgE was significantly reduced in taxi drivers. However, blood leukocytes, platelets, and serum total IgE were not significantly correlated with work period among taxi drivers. Conclusions: Regarding the change of the blood leukocyte count, platelet count, and serum total IgE, taxi driving has the possibility to be associated with peripheral inflammation, humoral immunity and cardiovascular risk.

가정전문간호사의 업무 스트레스 (A Survey on the Job Stress of Home Care Nurses)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the job stress in home care nurses. Method: The subjects were 139 home care nurses of hospital in an urban cities. The data were collected from 26 Man to 27 June by self report adherence questionnaire. Job stress was measured using CHN-PWRSQ(Community Health Nurses Perceptions of Work-Related Stressors Questionnaire). Result: The average score of job stress was 60.8. There were significantly high levels of job stress in those who have less than 10 years office period, those who have less than 2000000 won monthly salary than in their counterparts. With regard to the level of job stress by item, 'driving long distance and traffic jam', 'risk of traffic accident', 'bad weather condition', 'uncooperative family members', and 'uncooperative client/patient' were higher than other items. The age and office period were negatively correlated with job stress. Conclusion: The average score of job stress was 60.8.
