Human sensibility ergonomics is applied to evaluation of dynamic performance of a vehicle driving simulator. Vehicle, driving environment, and human perception models are constructed and integrated. Driving simulations are carried out based on these models. This study defines a set verbal expressions collected and investigates which are the most appropriate for describing the fidelity of translational and angular accelerations of the driving simulator. An statistical analysis is uscd to find correlation between the ergonomic sensibility and the cut-off frequency of the washout algorithm. This study suggests a methodology to obtain an ergonomic database which can be used for the performance evaluation of dynamic environments.
Generally, stabilization system is surely needed for the compensation of the ship motion. In this paper, the study investigated stabilizer design for the large driving system. We make a performance analysis for the stabilization scheme through the computer simulation.
This paper represents an adaptive Region of Interest (ROI) decision for real-time performance in an autonomous driving perception module. Since the whole automated driving system consists of numerous modules and subdivisions of module occur, it is necessary to consider the characteristics, complexity, and limitations of each module. Furthermore, Light Detection And Ranging (Lidar) sensors require a considerable amount of time. In view of these limitations, division of submodule is inevitable to represent high real-time performance for stable system. This paper proposes ROI to reduce the number of data respect to computation time. ROI is set by a road's design speed and the corresponding ROI is applied differently to each vehicle considering its speed. The simulation model is constructed by ROS, and overall data analysis is conducted by Matlab. The algorithm is validated using real-time driving data in urban environment, and the result shows that ROI provides low computational costs.
We developed a crawler-based driving platform that can perform harvesting, transportation, pest control, and rotary operation by equipping it with various implements, and analyzed its performance. This single platform was developed to perform as pepper harvester, peanut harvester, and transporter with a 46-kW engine. A simulation model was developed to study the specifications of the platform, and the accuracy was also analyzed. The absolute percentage error ranged from 0.2 to 5.9%, which made it possible to predict the platform performance using simulation model. In T-test, both torque and speed on field and asphalt showed a significant difference (1%). Driving torque required differed depending on the nature of the field, and the speeds also changed based on soil load. The developed platform has the advantage of being equipped with a variety of working tools, expected to be used to harvest root crops in the future.
This paper presents an Ground Segmentation algorithm to eliminate unnecessary Lidar Point Cloud Data (PCD) in an autonomous driving system. We consider Random Sample Consensus (Ransac) Algorithm to process lidar ground data. Ransac designates inlier and outlier to erase ground point cloud and classified PCD into two parts. Test results show removal of PCD from ground area by distinguishing inlier and outlier. The paper validates ground rejection algorithm in real time calculating the number of objects recognized by ground data compared to lidar raw data and ground segmented data based on the z-axis. Ground Segmentation is simulated by Robot Operating System (ROS) and an analysis of autonomous driving data is constructed by Matlab. The proposed algorithm can enhance performance of autonomous driving as misrecognizing circumstances are reduced.
In this study, the coefficient of performance of a vapour compression heat pump system was analyzed for the evaluation of the heat pump performance. A water-to-air heat pump was assembled and tested by changing the level of the compressor driving speed and the air mass flow rate during air heating process. The coefficient of performance for air heating was 2.6~3.8 and that for water cooling was 1.0~1.4. The coefficient of performance was not depending on the levels of the compressor driving speed or levels of the air mass flow rate, but on the temperature of the air and water. The coefficient of performance for air heating increased by about 0.2 with the water temperature increasing by 1$^{\circ}C$.
Recent studies have introduced that digital transformation positively impacts firm performance. However, research on the relationship between organizational capabilities or attitudes as antecedents or situational variables for successfully driving digital transformation remains limited. Therefore, this study aims to systematically analyze how dynamic digital capabilities and the mutual relationships between organizational members' digital acceptance influence firm performance throughout the process of driving and achieving digital transformation. Research design, data, and methodology: This study developed the concepts and measurement items for each variable based on prior research. A survey was conducted with 258 companies participating in mini clusters within industrial complexes across the county. The data was analyzed using a structural equation model with the AMOS software package. Results: Based on existing literature, hypotheses were formulated regarding the causal relationships among variables, and analysis was conducted. The results indicate that digital transformation and employees' technological acceptance play a mediating role in the relationship between dynamic digital capabilities and firm performance. Specifically, the organization's dynamic digital capabilities enhance both digital transformation and technological acceptance. Moreover, digital transformation leads to higher firm performance when technological acceptance is high. Conclusions: This study has shown the importance of enhancing dynamic digital capabilities as a prerequisite for driving digital transformation and highlighted the significance of organizational members' perceptions and attitudes toward information technology. Particularly, through detailed causal analysis among the specific items of each variable, insights were gained for both academic and practical applications.
Recently, bicycle has means of effective healthy transportation, and riding the bicycles is considered as popular recreational and sporting activities. Also, the saddle, steering system, driving device and braking device are researched briskly because of consumer's need for driving performance and comfort. Especially, the importance of a cassette responsible for transmission function by transmitting power to the drive shaft through the chain is very focused. The writer conducted structural analysis for the sprocket of each level using the ANSYS widely used for the analysis. Speed shifting performance was enhanced by minimization / simplification of shifting point through a sort of tooth profile of the cassette. By partitioning a clear value type and other shifting point, it has been modified to enable smooth speed-shifting. In addition, as titanium precision forming process, this study studied the molding technique by blanking and dies forging for mass production of the cassette. so it could be expected that the entire drive train would utilize that in the future. The stamping process capability for thin materials for the mass production of the sprockets is applicable to producing automobile parts, so lightweight component production is likely to be possible through that, for the safety of driving.
A sensitivity analysis of the liquid rocket engine has been made. A mode analysis program is used to predict the performance change due to the variation of rocket engine operating environment. The propellant supply pressure and density are the major variables of the operating condition. The material properties of the turbine driving gas is assumed as the function of mixture ratio. The discrepancies of performance change between constant turbine driving gas properties and variable properties are greater for the case of fuel pump inlet pressure change than the oxidizer pump inlet pressure change.
