  • Antenna equipment is transported being assembled to moving equipment and often subjected to vibration and shock excitation during transportation. In these circumstances, structural safety of antenna equipment must be secured. Wire rope isolators are assembled between moving equipment and antenna equipment to reduce the level of vibration and shock. In this paper, a isolator that are suitable to the system is selected and dynamic characteristics analysis of driving on antenna equipment is conducted using real system and the result is compared with response analysis. Also modal test of array-antenna pack-assembly is conducted and structural safety of that is secured by reinforcing its structure.

  • In this paper, a new type of switchgear, electro magnetic force driving actuator (EMFA), is developed and analyzed, applicable to high voltage gas circuit breaker (HGCB). Transient analysis is performed in order to obtain the dynamic characteristics of the EMFA. The distribution of static magnetic flux is obtained using the finite element method (FEM). The governing electric and kinematical equations are solved using the time difference method (TDM). Fabrication and experiments were performed in order to prove the applicability of HGCB for overall class. In comparing the experiment with simulated data, it is confirmed that analysis of the dynamic characteristics of EMFA is appropriate for design.

  • Dynamic characteristics of seated human body were investigated by measuring apparent masses of eight different seating subjects exposed to vertical vibration. Two types of vibration signals - one is random signals over 1 to 30Hz having flat spectral density and the other is signals measured on seat rail in passenger car under driving conditions - were employed. It was found that the apparent masses are highly dependent on vibration level rather than type of the vibration signals. Based on the apparent mass measurements, a mathematical model of the human body in seating posture was developed by using genetic algorithm. Three-degree-of-freedom model was satisfactory in describing apparent mass of seated human body.

  • THe dynamic characteristics of car are determined by ride quality and control stability. These characteristics are maintained by suspension, which is composed of springs, dampers and links. The values of these parameters are very important factor to determine the dynamic characteristic. Until now, most of company depends on trial-and-error method and driving test to solve this problem. But these methods are consumed many costs and time in developing process. In this paper,to minimize these difficulties, the proper model will be developed and analyzed the sensitivity of suspension parameter in time domain. On this ground, find the design parameter that have a dominant infuence on system response and estimate the change of system response values.

  • This paper introduces the experimental results of ride values assessed for a farm tractor. and the effect on the health of rider when working on the tractor is estimated. The dynamic characteristics of suspension seat in the farm tractor also described. To evaluate the ride values the accelerations in the 12-axis of human are measured. The experiment was conducted in three different driving conditions for 4 persons. as a results we can see that the ride quality is very poor and the working in a tractor can causes health problems in a few hours. and the suspension seat does not take a good performance.

  • This paper deals with an analysis and countermeasure of escalator vibration. The vibration characteristics of escalators are studied theoretically and experimentally to find the main cause of severe vibration. The main source of vibration in escalators is found to be chordal effect due to the step chain and sprocket system. It is also found that the vibration become significantly large at so called no load condition, in which the load due to passengers, during down-moving, is equal to the resistive force in the driving system. Dynamic absorbers are implemented to suppress the vibration. A theoretical analysis is made to determine the appropriate dynamic absorber. Theoretical and experimental study shows that dynamic absorber is effective to suppress the vibration in escalators.

  • In general, inchworm actuators are composed of two clamping piezoelectric elements and one expansion piezoelectric element. In this paper, two electromagnetic clampers are used for higher speed and high load. Dynamic equation is derived to simulate the behavior of the inchworm actuator with electromagnets. Electromagnetic clamper is used to improve the performance of the inchworm actuator. The electromagnetic clamper is composed of two permanent magnets and one traditional electromagnet. The permanent magnets play the role of the source of magnetic field to make clamping force higher, and the electromagnet is to change the mode between clamping and free. The driving voltage profile is also analyzed to improve the speed of inchworm actuator. The real system was manufactured and experimented to find dynamic characteristics and the maximum speed is obtained. Dynamic model is verified by comparing with experimental results.

  • This paper predicted the dynamic behaviors of a cantilevered carbon nanotube(CNT) incorporating the electrostatic force, van der Waals interactions between the CNT and ground plane. The structural model of the CNT includes geometric and inertial nonlinearities for predicting various phenomena of nonlinear responses of the CNT due to the electrostatic force. In order to solve the problem, we used Galerkin's approximation and the numerical integration techniques and as a result, we predicted characteristics of nonlinear response of nano resonator. The cantilevered CNT shows complex dynamic responses and instabilities due to the applied ac and ac voltages, and driving frequencies. The results investigated in this paper are helpful to the modeling of nanotube based electromechanical devices such as nano-resonators and nano-sensors.

  • This paper presents a new method for including the dynamic stiffness of the stationary parts in rotordynamic analysis. As a consequence of the support dynamics, critical speeds are varied and/or additional critical speeds are introduced. Therefore, dynamic effects of the support are often significant in high speed turbomachinery, but most of analysis has considered the support as a rigid body or a simple structure. The proposed method is based on the coupled characteristics of the driving point and transfer frequency response functions of the support system to model the equivalent spring-mass series in finite element analysis. To demonstrate the applicability of the simulation procedures provided, it is applied to the rotor model of the double suction centrifugal pump. Results of the suggested equivalent-support rotor model including coupled effects agree well with the entire pump model.
