대형디젤엔진의 오염물질 배출특성 (Characteristics of Exhaust Emissions from a Heavy-duty Diesel Engine)

  • The proportion of diesel vehicle is very high in this country . PM and NOx emitted from diesel-posered vehicle is severely ;affecting to be air quality . Especially, diesel particulate matters(DPM) including black smoke are hazardous air pollutants to human health and environment. In order to reduce the exhaust emissions from diesel engines, it is necessary to analyze the characteristics of exhaust emissions from diesel engines in various driving conditions. Recently, there are occasion to increase the fuel consumption rate to engine power up. So, in this study we have tested a diesel engine detached from in use -diesel vehicle and analyzed exhaust emission by driving condition and fuel dispersion rate. From this results, we will prepare the comprehensive management plan for exhaust emissions from diesel vehicles and contribute to the improvement of air pollution in urban area.

  • In case of chopper control is used for the d.c motor In the electric vehicle(EV) in general step down chopper is used for the driving and the step-up chopper is used for the regeneration. Bilateral variable ratio chopper system(BVRCS) formed by parallel combination of upper two chopper methods step-down, step-up and step-up/down chopper operations by duty cycle, circuit element and driving condition. In this paper, BVRCS is proposed for the simulated and experimented control of d.c motor in the EV. By the result of simulation BVRCS represents same driving power compared to the step-down and excellent breaking power compared to the step-up chopper system because of the greater motor current.

  • Emission from road traffic is one of the major sources of air pollution, and provides some undesirable effects on the atmspheric environment and human health. In the city of Seoul, the higher portion of diesel vehicles runs compared with that of other countries. Emission from the diesel vehicles is much higher than that of other vehicles. In this study, the driving pattern of city-bus in Seoul is investigated through on-road vehicle test and compared with the test modes of other countries in order to examine appropriateness of the present test mode that is taken in our country.

  • In this paper a driving method using the microcomputer in safe driving the axial type double rotor brushless DC motor without shaft position sensor is studied. The rotor position is determined from the back-EMF passed though special filter. Starting technique which uses the motor as a synchronous motor at standstill are explained. The motor speed is controlled by changing the duty cycle of PWM. The test motor has Y-connected three-phase stator and 8-pole axial type double rotor. From the experiments, we got good performences of the proposed control system.

  • Changes in road infrastructure affect driving patterns and pollutant emission characteristics. we analyzed the changes in driving patterns and pollutant emission characteristics of the driving route via measured driving patterns at year 2009 and 2016. Since 2009, there has been an increase in population and traffic demand, including residential areas and industrial facilities. Traffic conditions were improved such as the opening of the highway Inter-Change to Seoul and the construction of underground driveway. As a result, the average vehicle speed increased. More detail comparisons have made on the changes of the underground driveway section and the crossroad section, which are expected to have significant changes in the transportation infrastructure. The vehicle speed distribution of the underground driveway changed from low speed to high speed, and the increase of the time spent at the high speed and high load caused the increase of NOx emissions. The vehicle speed also increased at the crossroad section, and the consequence NOx and $CO_2$ emissions decreased. It is mainly because the decreased time spent at idle, which results from the proper traffic demand management at this area.

  • With the recent expansion of electric kickboards and bicycle sharing services, more and more people use them. In addition, the rapid growth of the delivery business due to the COVID-19 has significantly increased the use of two-wheeled vehicles and personal mobility. As the accident rate increases, the rule related to the two-wheeled vehicles is changed to 'mandatory helmets for kickboards and single-person transportation' and was revised to prevent boarding itself without driver's license. In this paper, we propose a wearable smart safety equipment, called SafetyHelmet, that can keep helmet-wearing duty and lower the accident rate with the communication between helmets and mobile devices. To make this function available, we propose a safe driving assistance function by notifying the driver when an object that interferes with driving such as persons or other vehicles are detected by applying the YOLO v5 object detection algorithm. Therefore it is intended to provide a safer driving assistance by reducing the failure rate to identify dangers while driving single-person transportation.

  • 차량에 탑재하여 운행 중 배출가스를 측정할 수 있는 이동식 배출가스 장비(PEMS)를 활용한 결함확인검사 방법을 미국은 2007년부터 시행하였고, 유럽은 2013년 EURO6부터 도입할 계획을 수립했다. 따라서 한국도 국내의 대형차 배출가스 관리의 중요성을 고려할 때 PEMS를 활용한 실 도로 주행 특성을 반영한 측정 방법의 도입이 필요한 시점이다. PEM의 다양한 활용 방안을 위하여 도로유형, 매연저감장치 및 공회전제한장치 그리고 에어컨 작동에 따른 배출가스 평가를 수행하였다. 본 연구는 PEMS을 활용한 상용차 결함확인 검사 방법을 분석하여 국내 실정에 적합한 대형차 결함확인 검사제도 시행에 필요한 기초자료를 마련하고자 한다.

  • PEMS(Portable Emissions Measurement System)를 이용한 배기가스 시험절차는 소형 디젤자동차의 실제도로 배출가스를 효과적으로 제어하기 위한 수단으로 최근에 많은 주목을 받고 있으며, 현재의 배기가스 인증규제 시험절차의 제도적 보완장치로 2017년에 한국과 유럽에서 시행될 예정이다. 본 연구에서는 국내에 운행 중인 유로 5 소형 디젤자동차 4대에 대한 실제도로 NOx 배출량을 도심, 교외 및 자동차 전용도로에서 측정하였으며, 측정 결과를 이동평균구간 및 가중평균 배출량 방법으로 분석하였다. 시험 차량 및 주행경로에 대한 두 방법의 실제도로 NOx 배출량 분석결과는 유사한 경향을 갖는 것으로 나타났으며, 이동평균구간 분석방법의 경우 배출 허용기준을 1.8 ~ 8.5배, 가중평균 배출량은 허용기준을 2.0 ~ 10.6배 초과하는 것으로 분석되었다. 본 결과를 바탕으로 실도로 주행 조건에서 NOx 배출량 분석에 대한 기술적 토대를 확보하였고, 향후 배출가스 관리를 위한 정책적 기반 데이터로 활용가능하다.

주행 경로 및 계절의 변화가 소형 경유차의 실제 주행 시 질소산화물 배출량에 미치는 영향 (Influence of Driving Routes and Seasonal Conditions to Real-driving NOx Emissions from Light Diesel Vehicles)

  • The objective of this study is to compare NOx emissions from light duty diesel vehicles measured from on-road tests that conducted under various driving routes and seasonal conditions. We measured real-driving NOx emissions using PEMS, portable emissions measurement system, under the urban, rural and motorway road traffic conditions. On-road tests were repeated at summer, fall and winter season. The accumulated driving distance is more than 1,200 km per each vehicle. Route average NOx emission factors were compared among nine route-season combinations. The emission characteristics of each combinations were investigated using time series mass emission rates and vehicle operation-based emission rates and activities, which is based on U.S. EPA's MOVES model. Most concerned route-season combination is "urban road condition at summer", which shows two to eleven times higher NOx emissions than other combinations. The emission rates and activities under low speed operating conditions should be managed in order to reduce urban-summer NOx. From a NOx control strategy perspective, the exhaust gas recirculation, EGR, is observed to be properly operated under wide range of vehicle driving conditions in Euro-5 vehicles, even if the air conditioner turns on. In high power demanding conditions, the effect of overspeeding could be more critical than that of air conditioner activation.

  • 플라즈마 디스플레이 패널의 발광효율을 개선하기 위하여 sustain 구간의 파형을 변화시킨 새로운 구동파 형을 제안하였다. 제안된 sustain 파형은 기존의 구형파에 기울기를 가진 ramp 형태의 파형을 덧붙여 줌으로써 Self-Erasing을 유도하는 파형이다. 기존에 제안된 Self-Erasing을 이용한 구동방식은 높은 구동주파수(>150kHz)에서만 발광효율이 개선되는 반면, 본 논문에서 제안하는 파형은 낮은 구동주파수(25kHz)에서도 30%정도의 발광효율이 개선되었다. 본 논문의 결과로부터 주파수, 듀티, 기울기 등의 다양한 구동조건에서의 연구가 진행된다면 더 큰 발광효율개선이 기대된다.
