차세대전동차용 직접구동전동기 개발 (Development of Direct Drive Motor for Next Generation Train)

  • As a drive system for next generation train, we have been making research and development of a direct drive traction motor system without the conventional reduction gear. This traction motor is expected to have many advantages such as low noise, reduced maintenance, and energy saving. Due to the demand for high-output motors in the limited space between the wheels, open-ventilating traction motors with gear box have been widely used for many years. However, a conventional open-ventilating traction motor is necessary periodical disassembly to remove the accumulated dust from open-air ventilation. Reducing this burden, as well as increasing energy efficiency and reducing noise, would benefit the next generation of traction motors. To address these needs, KRRI have been developing a fully enclosed type direct drive motor(DDM) with high-efficiency permanent magnet for the next generation train.

자동차 공회전시 기어 치타음에 영향을 미치는 파라미터에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Parameters Influence upon Automotive Neutral Gear Rattle)

  • The non-periodic angular accelerations of engine are the major cause of gear rattle. This gear rattle is based on the existence of a backlash between the drive gear of input shaft and the free gear of output shaft in the gearbox. Especially, the neutral gear rattle have a very bad effect on the ride quality. Test-rig was constructed in order to evaluate the parameter influence upon the neutral gear rattle. Also, each different 4 type torsional characteristic of clutch was manufactured. Experimental conditions are the use of each different 4 type torsional characteristic of clutch and oil temperature variation in gearbox. In case of the same stiffiness of pre-damper type clutch at idling, the clutch of large hysteresis showed dam- ping effects at the 2nd input gear and the 2nd output gear. Also, the main-damper type clutch was shown to large resonance phenomenon at the 2nd input gear. Accordingly, main-damper type clutch was unapp- roriate at idling.

  • Because many light rail transit systems are mainly operated in the downtown areas of a large cities and the congestion areas, there are many steep gradients and sharp radius sections in that lines. As that reasons above, light rail vehicles are equipped with differential gear units between traction motors and final reduction gear units. In this paper, the configurations and the interferences of 2K-H I type Planetary gear train, which is applicable for light rail vehicles and based on various differential gear units, are studied. Work load analysis for determination of the reduction gear ratio for a 78 kW all wheel drive electric tractor design

  • The purpose of this study was to design a powertrain for a 78 kW AWD (all wheel drive) electric tractor by analyzing the combination of various reduction gear ratios on a commercial motor using data from actual agricultural work and driving conditions. A load measurement system was constructed to collect data using wheel torque meters, proximity sensors, and a data acquisition system. Field experiments for measuring load data were performed for two environmental driving conditions (on asphalt and soil) and four agricultural operations (plow tillage, rotary tillage, loader operation, and baler operation). The attached implements and gear stages were selected through farmer surveys. The range of the reduction ratio was determined by selecting the minimum reduction ratio needed to satisfy the torque condition required for agricultural operations and the maximum reduction gear ratio to satisfy the maximum travel speed. The minimum reduction gear ratio selected was 57 in consideration of the working load condition and the maximum reduction gear ratio selected was 62 considering the maximum running speed. In the range of the reduction gear ratio 57 - 62, the selected motor satisfied all working torque conditions. As a result, the combination of the selected motor and reduction gear ratio was applicable for satisfying the loads required during agricultural operation and driving operation.

도시철도용 구동기어의 설계 요소에 대한 소음 기여도 분석 (Noise Source Identification of the Design Elements of the Driving Gear for the Urban Railway)

  • As the railway noise guideline of the Ministry of Environment after 2017 is strictly enforced, the noise level at stationary condition of urban railway is demanding the reduction about 2 dB(A). And the noise level at running condition is reduced by 6 dB(A) at 80 km/h. Therefore, the devices that causes noise shall arrange for the improvement plan of noise reduction for each device. In this paper, we carried out a technical review of the driving gear used to drive the vehicle from a variety of noise-induced equipment of a urban railway. Analyze the causes of the current noise levels and noise cause about the driving gear used in current urban railway and this study analyzes the noise level and noise cause the drive gear being used in the current urban railway. Finally, in this paper proposes a scheme for reducing the noise that can be designed to reduce the noise with considering the noise cause analysis.

  • The area of gear dynamics has recently been the focus of many studies. A new tooth profile modification was proposed by author for reducing vibration and noise of involute gears. A comparative dynamic analysis of the gear drive with the involute tooth and the modified tooth profile(using cubic splines) is performed to the unuformal transmission error reduces the gear vibration and noise due to less dynamic tooth load variation during the meshing cycle. This work also include a gear design process by the meaning of a practical approach, such as Win95 based simulation program with all using basic geardesign variables. Especially this program enables gear designers to dynamic analysis based on G.U.I.

  • The design of multi-stage gear drives is a time-consuming process that includes additional design problems, which are not considered in the design of single-stage gear drives. In the previous research works, the authors have proposed a new algorithm to design multi-stage gear drives at the preliminary design phase. The proposed design algorithm automates the design process by integrating the dimensional design and the configuration design process. In the configuration design process, the positions of gears and shafts are determined by minimizing the geometrical volume (size) of a gearbox. However, various types of spatial constraints should be satisfied in practical design situation. To locate input and output shaft in specified positions is the typical example of such problems. In this paper, the authors show the formulations of spatial constraints applied to the design of four-stage gear drives. The design solution shows considerably good results, and the design system is confirmed to be readily applicable to practical design situation.

  • 마그네트 기어를 이용하면 기계적인 접촉없이 동력을 전달할 수 있다. 마그네트 기어 기반 감속 시스템에서 종동축은 구동축으로부터 분리되어있기 때문에 시스템은 제한된 공극 강성으로 부하 변화에 대응해야하는 2관성 공진 시스템이다. 종동축 즉, 저속측은 구동축 인가 토크만으로 제어되고 갑작스런 외란에 따라 일반적인 기계식 기어 시스템과 달리 과도한 진동이나 슬립이 발생할 수 있다. 따라서 저속측에 인가되는 부하 등의 외란은 실시간으로 측정되거나 추정되어야 한다. 본 논문에서는 고조파 조절기 일체형 마그네트 기어를 이용한 감속 시스템의 저속측 속도 제어를 위한 전상태 되먹임 제어기를 제안하고 이를 전산 모의 시험과 실험을 통해 검증하였다. 저속측 부하를 추정하기 위해 새로운 상태변수를 도입하여 관측기를 설계하였으며 이를 기반으로 하는 전상태 제어기를 통한 외란에 대한 강건성은 2자유도 PI 속도 제어기와 비교하였다. 상대적으로 짧은 시간안에 극의 슬립이 보정되는 것을 확인하였으며 추정된 변수는 실제 측정 결과와 유사한 경향을 나타내었다. 이러한 결과는 마그네트 기어 감속기의 서보 시스템으로의 응용 가능성을 담보해주는 결과인 것으로 판단된다.

  • 본 논문은 마그네틱 기어를 적용한 항공기용 전기추진시스템에 관하여 기술한다. 항공기 추진모터는 높은 토크가 요구되기 때문에 감속기를 결합하여 토크를 증대시킬 수 있다. 하지만 기계식 기어는 마찰에 의한 손실과 열 및 진동 등으로 인해 잦은 유지 보수가 필요하다. 기계식 기어를 사용하지 않는 직접구동형 전동기의 경우 고 토크를 달성하기 위한 설계 시 전동기의 크기와 중량이 증가하게 된다. 본 논문은 항공기의 전기추진 시스템에서 기계식 기어의 유지보수와 직접구동형 전동기의 중량 증가 문제를 해결하기 위해 마그네틱 기어 적용 방안을 제안한다. 항공기용 전기추진 시스템에 적합한 마그네틱 기어를 설계하고 직접구동형 전동기와 성능을 비교함으로 마그네틱 기어의 적용 가능성을 확인한다.

  • This paper describes the BLDC motor which is applicated for a top front loading domestic washing machine. This motor is adopted direct drive washing machine without gear-belt-pulley system. Because gear box is removed, machine volume and noise are reduced. Moreover mechanical troubles in gear box are removed. Realization of variable speed region through of PWM control and high speed is able to efficient washing and spinning.
