  • In this article, the narrative strategy of Ryusuke Hamaguchi's is researched focusing on multi-layered intertextuality. is framed in the form of a 'story in a story that embraces a story', and the recognition of intertextuality has an important meaning in examining the storytelling strategy of . Because this movie was adapted from the short stories from Haruki's , the various stories included in the film overlap to form the overall narrative. Therefore, in order to understand properly, it is important to understand the organic semantic relationship between the texts in the movie. Understanding the narrative of is also the process of interconnecting textual content of multiple texts included in the film. In , the dream story told by Otto, Gafuku's wife, the main character, and in the play are elaborately linked to the narrative of the entire film in layers and three dimensions with text in a frame. Hamaguchi reinforces the need for the audience through the intertextual narrative strategy of . In addition, the metaphor and personalized space of contributes to the effective delivering the narrative of healing to the audience.

  • In this paper, the gearless traction machine drive system using a permanent-maget motor for high-speed elevators is addressed. This application of permanent-magnet motor to the elevator traction machine enables several improvements including higher efficiency, better ride comfort, smaller size and weight, and so on. PWM boost converter is also adopted so that DC-link voltage regulation, hi-directional power flow, and controllable power factor with reduced input current harmonics are possible. To increase reliability and performance, the control board, which can include the car and group controller as well as PWM converter and inverter controller, is designed based on TMS320VC33 DSP The simulator system for high-speed elevators has been developed so that the drive system of high-speed elevator can be tested without my limitation on ride distance and the load condition. Some experimental results are given to verify the effectiveness of the developed system.

Influence of COVID-19 on Public Transportation Mode Change and Countermeasures (COVID-19에 따른 대중교통수단 변화에 미치는 영향 분석 및 대책에 관한 연구)

  • The number of public transportation users has dropped drastically due to COVID-19. In this work, my survey was conducted to uncover the factors that influence citizens' travel patterns. Data were collected and logistic regression analysis on the shifts in transportation was undertaken. Additionally, an importance-performance analysis was carried out to investigate how to effectively operate public transportation systems and improve facilities. The main research findings were as follows: First, the more individuals were concerned about COVID-19 (+) and being infected when using public transportation (+), the greater the tendency to switch to private transportation modes. Secondly, when it came to personal traits, respondents who could drive a car (+) or owned a car (+)or did more online shopping (+) or used public transportation for trips (+) tended to switch over, compared with respondents who could not drive or did not own a caror used public transportation to commute. In addition, respondents who were vaccinated (-) or had more household members tended not to switch transportation modes, compared with those who were not vaccinated or had fewer household members. Third, it is important to continue the following efforts to safeguardhygiene linked to public transportation: wearing masks, disinfecting hands, controlling diseases, and general cleaning. The conclusion was that it is important to put traffic congestion and ventilation issues first, especially in regards public transportation, which was not rated as satisfactory enough compared to its importance. The research findings can provide useful basic data when establishing countermeasures to the current COVID-19 circumstances in the areas of public transportation operation and management and in the event of an infectious disease outbreak in the future.
