A pair of insulated-gate metal-oxide-semiconductor field-effect transistor has been used to measure the direct current produced from the ionization chamber in the range of to A. An analisis of direct-current differential amplifier giving the expressions of the common-mode rejection ratio and the rralization of the constant-current generator to give very large effective source resistance has been presented. Voltage gain is 6.6, drift at the room temperature is 1.5mv per day. The common-mode rejection ratio is obtained maximum 84db. These facts give the feasibility of small direct-current measurements by utilizing this type transistors.
This paper provides the analysis of the differential amplifier using the insulated gate, metala-oxide-semiconductor type field-effect-transistor(MOS FET), for its active element and the power drift of the amplifer. From these analytical considerations some design standardsn were found for the MOS FET differential amplifier available for the measurement of the very small current (pico-ampare range). A differential amplifier was designed and built in the view of above considerations. Its equivalent input gate voltages of the thermal drift and the power drift were 0.57mV/.deg. C in the range 25.deg. C-60.deg. C and 8.8mV/V in the range of 20% drift of its orginal value, respectively.

Temperal and spacial analysis for catches have been drawing up a catch distribution chart and analysing catches and CPUE(Catch Per Unit Effort) using catch data with purpose of obtaining basic data to establish a selective method of effective fishing the tuna purse seine fishing ground. The temperature profile section and catch was surveyed to analyse the effect of catch in relation to the fishing ground environment. The results are as follows ;1. As for the catch variation between 1983 and 1984, the catch mainly took place on150^{\circ}E$, and after that it moved eastward enlarging the range of catch. In the monthly catch variation between January and February, the catches mainly happened on 135$^{\circ}$~ 150$^{\circ}$E, and then moved to the gradually westward. However, from July it moved to the South and from October Southeast.2. As to the eatch ratio for the school associated with the drifted object, the pelagic migrating school and the school associated with the biological objects, the catch ratio for the school associated with the drift objects was the highest. The catch ratio for the school associated with the drifted object was high in June, July and November whiles between January and March for the pelagic migrating school.3. SST(Sea Surface Temperature) was around 28~29^C$ on the observing line of 137^{\circ}E$ and the catches took place in the north equatorial counter-current situated on around $5^{\circ}~6^{\circ}N$. SST in the northern summer was 1^C$higher than winter and it was about 29~30^C$. The catch happened with the center of north equatorial counter-current. The reason why the catch mainly took place on the north equatorial counter-current is that main catch of tuna purse seine was the school associated with drift objects. It is thought that the fishing grounds are made in waters that have many drift objects like drift logs from the coast.
From November 1968 to March 1970, a series of drift bottle experiments were carried out in waters adjacent to and in Chinju Bay with the following results. Of the bottles released, $50\~69$ per cent were recovered. 1. The circulation of Chinju Bay is usually caused by the tidal current except during the winter season when the northwest monsoon prevails to cause a wind-drift current. 2. Sea water in the southern part of Chinju Bay flows northward at ebb tide. The ebb current east of the central submarine bank in Chinju Bay flows northeastward toward Samchonpo Channel through the eastern depression of the bank contributing to form a cyclonic eddy. The ebb current west of the bank, however, flows northward toward Noryang Channel through the western depression of the bank. 3. The ebb current nea. the southernmost part of Chinju Bay flows eastward toward Chijok Channel. 4. At flood tide, the main stream of the tidal current in Noryang Channel flows eastward. Turning smoothly to the right, the southern branch of the flood current flows southward through the depression and along the isobaths at the western margin of the central submarine bank, while the northern branch, turning to the left, flows into the Chin-gyo Bay of Hadong. 5. flood current in the eastern area of Kwang-yang Inlet runs northeastward toward Noryang Channel. A small eddy develops near Kwanumpo of Namhae Island. 6. The results suggest that such a drift bottle experiment can be recommended for the attestation of currents, although it is not suitable for a quantitative study of coastal currents.

In this study, we analyzed distribution and movement trends using in-situ observations and particle tracking methods to understand the movement of the drift ice in the Arctic Ocean. The in-situ movement data of the drift ice in the Arctic Ocean used ITP (Ice-Tethered Profiler) provided by NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) from 2009 to 2018, which was analyzed with the location and speed for each year. Particle tracking simulates the movement of the drift ice using daily current and wind data provided by HYCOM (Hybrid Coordinate Ocean Model) and ECMWF (European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts, 2009-2017). In order to simulate the movement of the drift ice throughout the Arctic Ocean, ITP data, a field observation data, were used as input to calculate the relationship between the current and wind and follow up the Lagrangian particle tracking. Particle tracking simulations were conducted with two experiments taking into account the effects of current and the combined effects of current and wind, most of which were reproduced in the same way as in-situ observations, given the effects of currents and winds. The movement of the drift ice in the Arctic Ocean was reproduced using a wind-imposed equation, which analyzed the movement of the drift ice in a particular year. In 2010, the Arctic Ocean Index (AOI) was a negative year, with particles clearly moving along the Beaufort Gyre, resulting in relatively large movements in Beaufort Sea. On the other hand, in 2017 AOI was a positive year, with most particles not affected by Gyre, resulting in relatively low speed and distance. Around the pole, the speed of the drift ice is lower in 2017 than 2010. From seasonal characteristics in 2010 and 2017, the movement of the drift ice increase in winter 2010 (0.22 m/s) and decrease to spring 2010 (0.16 m/s). In the case of 2017, the movement is increased in summer (0.22 m/s) and decreased to spring time (0.13 m/s). As a result, the particle tracking method will be appropriate to understand long-term drift ice movement trends by linking them with satellite data in place of limited field observations.
In heterojunction photovoltaic devices of $ITO/TiO_2/poly$(3-alkylthiophene)/Au, the photo current was characterized at different temperatures for different alkyl chain lengths and regioregularities: regiorandom, regioregular poly(3-hexylthiophene), and regioregular poly(3-dodecylthiophene). The regioregularity and alkyl chain length affected the photovoltaic characteristics due to differences in hole-carrier transportation. The drift charge mobilities of these devices were analyzed by the space-charge-limited current theory using the relation between the dark current and the bias voltage. The photocurrent in the devices based on poly(3-alkylthiophene)s decreased rapidly below the temperature at which the drift charge mobility was $10^{-5}\;cm^2/V{\cdot}s$.
Superelastic Shape Memory Alloys (SMAs) are gaining acceptance for use as reinforcing bars in concrete structures. The seismic behaviour of concrete frames reinforced with SMAs is being assessed in this study. Two eight-storey concrete frames, one of which is reinforced with regular steel and the other with SMAs at the plastic hinge regions of beams and regular steel elsewhere, are designed and analyzed using 10 different ground motion records. Both frames are located in the highly seismic region of Western Canada and are designed and detailed according to current seismic design standards. The validation of a finite element (FE) program that was conducted previously at the element level is extended to the structure level in this paper using the results of a shake table test of a three-storey moment resisting steel RC frame. The ten accelerograms that are chosen for analyzing the designed RC frames are scaled based on the spectral ordinate at the fundamental periods of the frames. The behaviour of both frames under scaled seismic excitations is compared in terms of maximum inter-storey drift, top-storey drift, inter-storey residual drift, and residual top-storey drift. The results show that SMA-RC frames are able to recover most of its post-yield deformation, even after a strong earthquake.

For environment-friendly fishery, the lead sinkers of octopus drift line were developed with the environmentfriendly sinker, and their characteristics and performance were investigated. To make the environmentfriendly sinker, the hydrate ceramic material was developed, and to increase the weight and strength, the iron power was added to it. The fishing hook was machine-made, and standardized, by using 60cm iron wire. For the manufacture of the sinker, the first, the mold was made, and then, hydrate ceramic material and water were quantitatively mixed. The mixture was poured into the mold prepared with a fishing hook already inserted, and had hardened for several hour, before it was taken out of the mold as a complete sinker. The sinkers were made in the 8 types ranging in weight from 150 to 500g, and their specific gravities were diverse from 2.871 to 6.637, which was 0.19 to 0.44 times lower than that of lead. The movement of the environment-friendly sinker by flume tank was possible in the weaker current speed than the similar lead sinker. In the coastal fishing grounds of Gangwon province, the comparison of catching efficiency was made between the improved fishing gears composed of the environment-friendly sinkers and artificial baits, and the current used fishing gears of lead sinkers and pig-fat baits. The result showed the tendency in which the improved fishing gears caught the bigger octopuses than the current used fishing gears. In the quantity and number of the fish catch per unit fishing gear, the improved fishing gear showed a little more catch than the current used fishing gear, regardless of the fishing area. However, the number of the improved fishing gears lost during fishing operation was similar to that of the current used fishing gears.
This paper proposes a novel active frequency drift (AFD) method for the islanding prevention of grid-connected photovoltaic inverter. To detect the islanding phenomenon of grid-connected photovoltaic (PV) inverters concerning about the safety hazards and the damage to other electric equipments, many kinds of anti-islanding methods have been presented. Among them, AFD method using chopping fraction enables the islanding detection to drift up (or down) the frequency of the voltage during the islanding situation. In this paper, injecting the periodic zero current into the basic AFD method is proposed. This proposed method shows the analytical design value of cf to meet the test procedure of IEEE Std. 1547 with various load conditions. Detection of islanding is verified using simulation tool PSIM.

In this study, the drift current characteristics of charged particles are analyzed for panels fabricated by varying the waveform biasing of the active particle loading method (APLM), which is a method driven by the electrophoretic principle of loading charged particles into a cell of a barrier rib-type electronic paper. We prepare 3 panels using APLM and 1 panel without APLM. The waveform of APLM uses square wave and ramp wave, and the step voltage wave is applied to the driving voltage. The drift currents measured from the square wave and ramp wave with the same period applied by APLM are 4.872 µC and 5.464 µC, respectively, and the ramp wave is shown to be relatively advantageous for loading charged particles that have a large q/m. The time-current curve results confirm that the abrupt movement of charged particles is occurring. When the step form wave signal with a short time of 1s is first applied, initial large movement of the charged particles is confirmed to occur in all samples, which is understood as the effect of applying the voltage necessary to remove the imaging force. The results of this study are expected to improve the loading of charged particles into the electronic paper cell, driven by the electrophoretic principle and optimization of the driving conditions.
