KOMPSAT-2, to be launched in 2005, will be a long awaited addition to the existing high-resolution satellite sensors. The use of download facilities in Europe will greatly increase its capacity without loosing any coverage over Korea. In this paper the concept for an Urban Application Center is presented. It is part of the proposed Regional Application Center which is dedicated to archiving and distributing KOMPSAT-2 images. The Urban Application Center will offer services derived from KOMPSAT-2. Its aim is to promote the use of KOMPSAT-2 data and increase the general awareness and acceptance of satellite data.

Integrated development environment (IDE) plays an important role in reducing the developm ent time, thereby improving software development productivity. In recent years, ubiquitous sensor networks (USNs) have become increasingly popular. However their application software is developed mostly using command-line-based tools. Such a development process is not only likely to be error-prone but also inconvenient to debug errors. This paper describes a novel IDE for USN application developers called Nano Esto that provides a single, consistent, and integrated environment for building and executing USN applications. The Nano Esto helps the developers edit and cross-compile source code and download the executable image to the program memory of sensor nodes with just a few button clicks. It also provides support for configuring an application-specific kernel, simulating a wireless sensor network, and estimating power consumption in each sensor node. Currently, Nano Esto runs on Linux as well as on Windows with the same look and feel.

Recently, electronic-book (e-book) market is growing rapidly due to the evolution of information technology and e-book standard EPUB. Users can search e-book on-line and download easily to their e-book readers such as amazon's kindle or smartphones. On the other hand, there is lack of e-book contents for the reading disabled people because of high cost of making e-book accessibility for the reading disabled people. If we can translate EPUB specified e-book contents to the alternative e-book contents suitable for the reading disabled people, then there are many advantages to acquire various types and large volumes of e-book contents for the reading disabled people. This paper suggests a new electronic publishing ecosystem for the reading disabled people using e-book translation method. It also suggests a promotion strategy of e-book market for the reading disabled people.

This study is aimed at proposing a new research model in which application store intention to acceptance influence factors (i.e.. facilitating condition, mobile computing self-efficacy, service compatibility, and system quality) affect TAM (i.e., perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use) positively, leading to application store intention to acceptance eventually. This study developed a research model to explain the use of Apple's App Store, and collected 228 survey responses from the undergraduate students who had experiences with such application store services as game and personal information management application download. To prove the validity of the proposed research model, PLS analysis is applied with valid 228 questionnaires. By employing PLS technique, the measurement reliability and validity of research variables are tested and the path analysis is conducted to do the hypothesis testing. In brief, the finding of this study suggests that application store intention to acceptance influence factors affect TAM positively, and application store intention to acceptance as well.

The best method to study language is to talking with a native speaker. A voice recognition technology can be used to develope a language study machine. This paper discusses the interacting mobile robots for tele-operation system using the world wide web. In multi-agent and web-based teleoperation environment the problem of communication delay must be solved for the efficient and robust control of the system. The standard graphic user interface(GUI)is implemented using Java Programing language. The web browser is used to integrate the virtual environment and the standard GUI(Java applet) in a single user interface. Users can access a dedicated WWWserver and download the user interface. Reinforcement learning is applied to indirect control in order to autonomously operate without the need of human intervention. 디지털 음원 시장을 양분하는 가장 대표적 디지털 음원 소비방식은 다운로드(download)와 스트리밍(streaming)이다. 음원 스트리밍 시장은 IT 기술의 발전으로 빠른 성장을 거듭하여 스트리밍 이용 수가 급격히 증가한 반면, 다운로드 수는 감소하는 추세를 보이고 있어 음원 소비 방식이 소유방식에서 접근방식으로 변화중이라고 할 수 있다. 스포티파이(Spotify)와 같은 음원 스트리밍 기업이 프리미엄(Freemium) 가격정책을 운용하는 반면, 국내 음원 스트리밍 기업은 정액요금제 가격정책을 주로 채택하고 있다. 정액요금제 가격정책을 채택한 기업의 수입은 소비자가 매달 지불하는 일정한 금액으로 고정되어 있지만, 비용은 징수규정에 따라 소비자가 스트리밍을 하는 횟수에 비례하여 증가하기 때문에 변동성이 있다. 서비스를 열성적으로 이용하는 소비자가 추가 구매를 할 가능성이 높은 다른 비즈니스에 비해, 정액제로 운영되는 음원 스트리밍 비즈니스는 사실상 추가 구매가 이뤄지는 경우가 드물기 때문에 음원 이용 건수가 많은 소비자가 기업의 높은 가치를 주는(high-value) 고객이 아닐 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 스트리밍 정액요금제 소비자를 음원 소비량에 따라 세분화(segmentation)하고 이들의 특성을 살펴봄으로써, 음원 스트리밍 기업과 연구자에게 효과적인 전략을 세우는 데 도움을 주는 것을 목표로 한다.

Based on the contents of probability and statistics areas in the seventh curriculum, we developed a statistics education model programmed by visual basic for upper grade students of elementary schools. The model that was consisted of ten modules can be easily manipulated by elementary schools students. The objects with a variety of colors are presented on P.C monitor and dynamic functions are performed by clicking a mouse. According to the survey after using the model, students positively evaluated the contents and characteristics and showed great interest in the model. We will upload the execution files of the model on our homepage. One can download and use them free.

Active noise control(ANC) requires the full capability of a modern digital signal processing module. This paper describes the digital signal processing unit which is designed for ANC of noise fields in passenger car. System hardware is designed to allow software controlled versatility as well as fully qutomatic operation. The developed system is provided with the ability to be self-operated except the case of upload/download of data and program between the personal computer and the system memory. Experimental results are presented to demonstrate ANC performance of noise fields in lightly damped enclosure and passenger car.

The purpose of this study was to explore the unfairness of adhesion contracts for internet contents service. The internet contents were classified into six types of avatar, learning, download, e-book and movie internet sites. The adhesion contracts of internet contents service were collected in 60 internet sites. The unfairness of the adhesion contract was reviewed under the adhesion contract regulation act. The major results were as follows. First, the obligation of clear statement, explanation, and delivery was not observed completely. Second, many articles of adhesion contract were unfair and they especially violated articles 7 and 9. Therefore, the standard adhesion contract system for internet content service should be enforced and self-regulation of information service providers is needed.
