"Dong Ui Bo Gam" was written by Huh jun that was influenced by Cho Sun Sung Confucianism's environment had been receptive to rich idea. "Dong Ui Bo Gam" "Shin Hyung Mun" was composed of the base on a full understanding in taoist idea. It had a real systemical structure, was help to taoist training. The taoist idea of "Dong Ui Bo Gam" was made up of the extension of mature theory and training in Cho Sun Dan Hak. Specially, The taoist idea of "Dong Ui Bo Gam" was had an effect on "Euibangyoochui" better as compared with "Dong Ui Bo Gam" "Shin Hyung Mun" in contents "Shin Hyung Jang Bu DO" generalized the whole contents of "Dong Ui Bo Gam", was influenced by taoist idea, also peculiar method that was not searched in other medical books. 'Heart 心' was handled importantally in "Dong Ui Bo Gam" "Shin Hyung Mun" under the influence of taoist idea and Cho Sun Sung Confucianism.

Background : To understand Korean medicine it is crucial to first understand medical aspect of 'DongUiBoGam'. It is also meaningful that it became one of the influential book even to posterity. Also based on the apprehension, we can take a view of development of Korean medicine led by 'DongUiBoGam'. Objectives : This study aims to review the status, study field, specialist of DongUiBoGam. In the process, this review will grasp trends in this field of studies and will direct further researches into the right direction. Method : The computerized Korean databases were searched from their respective inceptions up to December 2008. The search terms used were 'DongUiBoGam' and random or Korean language terms related to DongUiBoGam. Several specialized journals were also manually searched for relevant articles. Result : Since the 2000s, DongUiBoGam papers in the Korean Literature is increased. Published 58 papers on The Korean Journal of Oriental Medical Prescription were more than the other journals. 58 papers published in The Korean Journal of Oriental Medical Prescription are the best in many areas related to Korean medicine. Most people have submitted papers related to DongUiBoGam was Woo-yeal Jeong. Conclusions : 'DongUiBoGam' research is conducted and current tendency and outlook for 'DongUiBoGam' is carried out focusing on several associations.

This study examines the main points of DongUiBoGam(東醫寶鑑) based on the preface(序) and Compiled Examples(集禮) of DongUiBoGam(東醫寶鑑). The results of this study are the following: 1) DongUiBoGam(東醫寶鑑)'s InSinReon(人身論: man-body doctrine) states that Form(形 -hyeong) and Jeong(精), Ki(氣), Sin(神) are the foundation and the Organs are the mediators. 2) DongUiBoGam(東醫寶鑑) includes Taoism, Buddhism, and Medical Science. 3) DongUiBoGam(東醫寶鑑)'s NaeGyeongChapter(內景篇), OeHyeongChapter(外形篇), JapByeongChapter(雜病篇)'s name shows that each chapter's key concept is Gyeing, Hyeong(形-Form), and Byeong(病-Sickness). 4) The purpose of DongUiBoGam(東醫寶鑑) is Following the Ideas Handed Down From Forefathers(慕古人之遺意), and in this prospect, the context could be named, 'The Treasure Box and Mirror of Eastern Ideas' (東意寶鑑-DongUiBoGam).

Objectives : The aim of this study was to show the rationale of point-selection on the methods of acupuncture and moxibustion in the Rhinological section(in the Oehyeong chapter) of the Dong Ui BO Gam. Methods : First, We summarized the cause of each disease in the Rhinological section(in the Oehyeong chapter) of the Dong Ui BO Gam. Then, We explained the rationale of acupoint-selection referring to the cause of disease, physiology of the Oriental medicine, other uses of each acupoints in the Dong Ui BO Gam, character of each acupoints, flow of meridian pathways and specific acupoints etc. Results and Conclusions : Total 15 acupoints were used in the Rhinological section(in the Oehyeong chapter) of the Dong Ui BO Gam. Most of acupoints were specific acupoints. But, some rationale of acupoint-selection were explained by the cause of disease, physiology of the Oriental medicine, other uses of each acupoints in the Dong Ui BO Gam, flow of meridian pathways etc.

Objectives : The aim of this study was to show the rationale of point-selection for acupuncture and moxibustion in the Uterine section(in the Naegyeong Chapter) of the Dong-Ui-BO-Gam. Methods : We reviewed the causes of each disease in the Uterine section of the Dong-Ui-BO-Gam, and then explained the rationale of acupoint-selection for the treatment of those diseases referring to etiology and physiology of Oriental medicine, other applications of each acupoints in the Dong-Ui-BO-Gam, characteristic of each acupoints, flow of Gi (Qi) through meridian pathways and specific acupoints etc. Results : There are comments on acupuncture and moxibustion for abnormal menstruation, amenorrhea, metrorrhagia, leukorrhea, bleeding from uterus after menopause in the Uterine section of the Dong-Ui-BO-Gam. Conclusions : Acupoints of conception vessel, and three foot Yin meridians are preferably used for acupuncture and moxibustion in the Uterine section of the Dong-Ui-BO-Gam. Out of them, CV3 is most frequently used and SP6, CV6, BL23, LR2 are also used often.

This study elucidates the extra-medical citing relationship of DongUiBoGam (東醫寶鑑)'s Acupuncture&Moxibustion Chapter(ChimGu鍼灸 篇) and Acupuncture&Moxibustion Methods Chapter(ChimGu鍼灸法 篇), and based on this, tried to clarify the characteristics of the intra-medical DongUiBoGam(東醫寶鑑)'s Acupuncture&Moxibustion treatment methods. This paper is the second research result on this kind of study, and it historically investigated the original text related to Acupuncture&Moxibustion treatments in DongUiBoGam(東醫寶鑑)'s OeHyeong Chapter(外形 篇). Through this, we can see that at the time DongUiBoGam(東醫寶鑑) was compiled, UiHakGangMok(醫學綱目)'s Acupuncture&Moxibustion treatments were considered the most complete.

DongUiBoGam(東醫寶鑑) is Joseon's classic medical text that has great significance in the medical history of Korea. However, the context of the treatments of accupuncuret&moxibustion in the book are hardly studied. This study is for the purpose of examining the treatments of accupuncuret&moxibustion in DongUiBoGam(東醫寶鑑), and it starts with studying the accupuncuret&moxibustion part of DongUiBoGam(東醫寶鑑)'s NaeGyeong Chapter(內景篇) for starters. Through this study, the following could be known. 1. In DongUiBoGam(東醫寶鑑)'s NaeGyeong Chapter(內景篇), it is written that it quoted many various books, but actually, most of the parts are quoted from LouYing(樓英)'s YiXueGangMu (醫學綱目). 2. LouYing(樓英)'s YiXueGangMu(醫學綱目) is a work of the Ming Dynasty, which is when China's study of accupuncure&moxibustion was completed and many books on accupuncure&moxibustion were published. 3. However, in DongUiBoGam(東醫寶鑑), it mainly quotes from YiXueGangMu(醫學綱目), instead of these professional acupuncture&moxibustion texts. This is because this book is a comprehensive medical text with various medical theories, which share the same flow with DongUiBoGam(東醫寶鑑), and at the same time, it organized the treatments of accupuncure&moxibustion in a big scale in various ways.

Object of this study is as follows. We check on obesity mentioned in and consider the results with an analysis. And then, We offer Obesity's Acupuncture & Moxibustion Therapy with a base by the results and We confirmed the follows by the results of this study. tells that obesity reduces a life and causes a disease. said that Acupuncture & Moxibustion Therapy was effective on a treatment of Obesity.

Below are the indications that cultural events in traditional Korean medicine nationwide give to the prospective 2013 DongUiBoGam World traditional Alternative Medicine Expo, especially to the se lection of the Expo's site. If the DongUiBoGam Expo is held as outdoor event, it can secure merits of current local council events' advantages: linking lived experiences to natural and historical resources. As in case of the EXOM and Hanghang EXPO that are held as indoor activivies in metropolitan area, if held the DongUiBoGam Expo can secure easily large-scale academic activities and health lectures. Thus, the key point for the DongUiBoGam Expo's success will he how to combine the good points of currently-held cultural outdoor and indoor activities in the field of traditional Korean medicine nationwide.
