객체영역의 컬러비와 모멘트를 이용한 내용기반 영상검색 (Content-based Image Retrieval using Color Ratio and Moment of Object Region)

  • 본 논문에서는 영상 내에 존재하는 객체영역의 컬러비와 모멘트를 이용한 영상검색을 제안한다. 객체는 영상의 중심에 위치한다는 가설 하에 미리 정의한 중심영역의 우세컬러를 기반으로 수평-수직 투영을 이용하여 객체영역과 배경영역을 분할함으로써 최적의 공간정보를 획득한다. 또한 영상 내 객체의 회전 및 크기에 불변한 특성을 가지기 위해 컬러비와 모멘트를 특징정보로 이용하며 유사성 측정은 컬러 히스토그램의 구간별 연관성을 고려하기 위해 변형된 히스토그램 인터섹션을 이용한다. 실험결과 제안한 방법이 기존의 영역분할에 의한 방법보다 효율적인 결과를 보였다.

都市環境色彩改善方案에 관한 硏究 -아파트 表面色을 對象으로- (A Study on the Improvement Suggestions for Color in Urban Environment -with special regard to the surface color of apartment building in Seoul-)

  • The purpose of this study was to suggest an improvement proposal for colors in urban environment with special regard to the surface color and their situations of apartment buildings in Seoul. For this goal, 167 cases of different color types of apartment buildings were surveyed. And, the survey was performed in the view of color by areas, by localtion, by builder, by paint year, by built year, by appearance of building, and by surface texture to prove the influencing factors on the surface colors. These collected data analyzed and compared with the existing studies to find out the changing trend of colors. The results are as follows : 1) The use of neutral gray($26.4{\%}$) and warm color(YR, Y, GY; 56.4%) were dominant and the usage trend of higher 'value'(87.4%) and lower 'saturation'(73.0%) was obvious. Especially, the use of PB and P was noticeable. 2) In comparing the existing studies, the changing trend in the surface color pattern was found. That is, neutral gray was used dominantly in 1970's, warm color(YR, Y)in the middle of 1980's. In the end of 1980's, warm color were also used dominantly same as before and GY, PB, P were used noticeably with some rising tendency of higher 'value' and lower 'saturation' was obvious. 3) The results of analysis by localtion shows that the different color groups might exist in Seoul city. Neutral gray and YR were dominant in zone I. Warm colors(YR, Y, GY)were prevailed in zone II, III, IV. In zone V, many colors were evenly used. In zone VI, middle values at warm color were dominant. Progressively, these color groups with further study could be considered in the color management in urban environment possibly. 4) Surface color of apartment buildings were different from their builders. 5) Concerned with the painted year, the use of higher 'value' and lower 'saturation' was increased gradually with the change of times. 6) the analysis by the built year revealed that the 'value' of surface colors on the old buildings was lower than that of the new ones. 7) The 'value' of colors on the surface with texture was higher than that of the surface without texture. 8) In the combination of two colors, the use of 'value' with difference at the same 'hue' was found harmonions in many cases, but the 'saturation' in usage was included in the ambiguity (Moon & Spencer's term). The ambiguity in color harmony should be improved in the near future.

주색도 분석을 적용한 비음수 행렬 분해 기반의 광원 추정 (Illumination Estimation Based on Nonnegative Matrix Factorization with Dominant Chromaticity Analysis)

  • 인간의 시각은 색순응을 통해서 사물의 색을 광원의 색에 영향 없이 인지 할 수 있다. 반면에, 카메라는 입력 값을 그대로 기록하기 때문에, 광원에 따라 물체의 색이 다르게 나타난다. 최근에 희박성 제약조건의 비음수 행렬 분해(nonnegative matrix factorization with sparseness constraint; NMFsc)를 이용한 광원추정 방법이 제안되었다. 이 방법은 낮은 희박성 제약조건을 사용해서 광원을 추정하고, 높은 희박성 제약조건을 사용해서 반사율을 추정한다. 하지만, 희박성 제약조건의 비음수 행렬분해를 이용한 광원 추정 방법은, 영상의 전역적인 정보를 사용하므로, 영상에서 동일한 색이 넓은 영역에 존재하는 경우, 추정된 광원이 큰 오차를 가진다. 이러한 단점을 보완하기 위해, 영상에서 주색도 분석과 희박성 제약조건의 비음수 행렬 분해를 이용한 광원 추정 방법을 제안하였다. 먼저 주색도를 분석하기 위해 영상을 색도 좌표계로 옮기고 색도 히스토그램을 이용하여 유사한 색도를 가지는 영역들로 영상을 분할한다. 다음으로 영상의 주색도는 분할된 영상들 중 색도의 표준편차가 가장 적은 영상의 색도로 선택한다. 마지막으로 주색도 분석 결과와 희박성 제약조건의 비음수 행렬 분해를 이용해 입력 영상에서 주색도 성분을 제거하고 최종적인 광원을 추정한다. 실제 촬영 영상에 대한 평균 각오차를 사용하여 기존의 방법과의 성능을 비교하였고, 그 결과 제안하는 방법의 평균 각 오차는 5.5를 나타내어 영상의 주 색도를 포함하여 광원을 추정한 기존 방법의 평균 각 오차 5.7 보다 우수한 성능을 나타내었다.

  • 어두운 장면에 대해 획득된 영상의 대비 향상을 위해 일반적으로 사용하는 히스토그램 평활화나 감마 커브 보정 기법들은 영상의 전반적인 대비 향상에는 효과적이나 부분적인 영역에 대한 영상 화질 저하를 유발한다. 이러한 점을 해결하기 위해 최근 주변의 평균 밝기 값을 이용하여 대비를 향상시키는 다중 Retinex 알고리즘이 제안되었다. 그러나 칼라 영상에서 채널별 지역적 평균 밝기 값을 추정할 때, 영상 내에 단색의 채도가 높은 물체가 존재 할 경우 물체의 색도가 영향을 미쳐 색이 왜곡되는 경우가 발생한다. 이를 해결하기 위해 본 논문에서는 다중 Refiner 알고리즘에서 사용되는 채널별 주변의 평균 밝기 값을 보정하기 위해 영상의 주색도 값을 추정한다. 영상의 평균 색도는 광원의 색도 정보를 포함하고 있기 때문에 이를 제거하기 위하여 영상의 밝은 영역에서 광원의 색도 값을 추정하고 이를 평균 색도 값에 나누어주어 영상의 주색도 값을 추정한다. 또한 다중 Retinex 알고리즘의 결점인 낮은 채도를 CIELAB 표준 색 공간에서 색상을 유지하면서 보정하였다.

  • The dimensional structure of impression formed of a female figure in specific attire was identified and significant influence of skirt length and suit color on impression formed of figures in suits were researched in the part I of this study. In part ll, the effect of identical elements of apparel design on impression formation of a female figure in dress and pants- blouse were studied. The experimental matirals consisted of two sets of stimuli and 7 point semantic differential response scale developed in part 1. Each set of stimuli was composed of 20 drawings representing female figures in each attire. Three independent variables, which were the length of bottom, color of dress or pants and collar type of blouse, were manipulated in each stimulus. The experiment was arranged by 3 factorial design, and the data were analyzed by 3-way ANOVA and by Multiple Classification Analysis. To summarize, in impression formation of figure in dress, the most dominant design element was identified as bottom length and the second most dominant one was color of dress. In contrast, in perception of figure in pants-blouse, the most important design element was color of pants and secondly important one was bottom length. The collar type of top didn't have critical effect on impression formation of figures in both type of attire.

부산지역 청소년의 스트리트 패션 경향 분석 (An Analysis on the Street Fashion Trend of the Adolescent in Pusan)

  • The aim of this research is to establish basic materials for fashion merchandising by observing the street fashion of the juveniles and by analyzing their wearing, coordination and fashion trend. We have taken the photograph of the street fashion of 202 male teenagers and 265 female teenagers in Busan, and analyzed in the category of style, item, color, pattern, materials, hair style, shoes and accessories. We have concluded that the most frequent items were shirts (male), turtle neck (female) and jeans. The main style was casual just as jumper-look, sweater-look, gardigan-look. The typical female fashions that were hip-hop-look, twin neat-look, trench coat-look, were more various than male. For the color coordination, contrast color coordination was more dominant than similarity color coordination. Dominant patterns were solid, and also check and stripe patterns were frequently found in upper garment. The representative materials were soft for upper garment, and hard for trousers. Male teenagers prefer middle-length hair style and female teenagers prefer long hair style. The juveniles in Busan are wearing sports shoes and leather shoes in similar frequency. Their favorite accessories are bag, muffler and hat.

  • The purpose of this research is to analyze the characteristics of colors and color images on fashion web sites, and to provide efficient color informatiom which is useful in color planning and is suitable for brand image on fashion web sites.216 color sample used by 48 fashion web sites were collected and analyzed. The results of this study are as follows; First, dominant colors on fashion web sites are neutral color such as white, gray, black and warm colors such as red, yellow red, yellow. Except blue, cool colors show low usage ratio. Second, the color tones of vivid, strong, light, dull, dark, dark grayish were shown in order. Third, the color images on fashion web sites are casual, modem, romantic, natural, elegant, chic, classic, dandy, pretty, clear, cool casual, dynamic, gorgeous, ethnic and formal.

  • A purpose of this study is to suggest color palette of outdoor environment of international students' dormitory in Yonsei university in order to improve the residents' satisfaction with the physical and mental factors. With the advent of the age of International and Global, more and more international students are coming to Korea studying Korean, so each university makes an effort to enhance the level of the university and establishing the internal boarding for the comfort of foreigners. This study draws problems of the color which lack to show internal boarding's identity and communicate with environment around the dorm both. The results of the study show, firstly, dominant color which is used on this project is based on Korean traditional color used in the International students' dormitory are harmonized with environment color and, next, accent color can reveal the identity of the dorm in Yonsei university.

비정형객체 검색을 위한 향상된 분할영역 색 기술자 (Enhanced Boundary Partition Color Descriptor for Deformable Object Retrieval)

  • 비정형객체 검색을 위한 향상된 경계 영역 분할에 기반을 둔 색 기술자를 제안한다. 이 논문에서는 하나의 객체를 내부영역과 경계영역으로 나눠 각각으로부터 기술자를 추출하는 기존의 기술자를 향상하는 기술을 제안한다. 먼저 주어진 영상으로부터 비정형객체영역과 배경영역을 분할한다. 분할된 객체의 중심 좌표를 구하고 이 중심 좌표를 기준으로 해서 전체 객체를 N × N 블록으로 나눈다. 각 블록은 배경픽셀의 유무를 확인하여 경계블록과 내부블록으로 구분한다. 하나의 객체 영상은 내부블록들로 구성된 내부영역과 경계블록들로 구성된 경계영역으로 구분하여 각 영역에 대해 MPEG-7 주조색 기술자 (dominant color descriptor)를 추출하여 최종 기술자를 추출한다. 비정형객체 검색 성능 실험을 위하여 핸드백 영상들을 다양한 시점으로 변화하여 구성한 1,973장의 실험 데이터베이스를 구축하였으며, 검색 성능을 ARR(Average Retrieval Ratio)를 사용하여 기존의 MPEG-7 주조색 기술과 비교하였다.

Ear Type and Coat Color on Growth Performances of Crossbred Pigs

  • Records from a total of 202 crossbred pigs were classified by their ear type and coat color to examine the presence of interrelationships with growth performances. Crossbred pigs were F2 generations of full sib family out of ten Landrace sows bred by 5 Korean domestic boars. Heavily drooped ear type was predominant, 195 out of 202 pigs over the other two types (1 straight and 6 slightly drooped). Coat colors were classified as four categories, all white, all black, dominant white or dominant black. Ratio among coat color categories did not fall within Mendelian principle of independence regarding two loci involved. There was dependency between ear type and coat color. However, due to rarity of ear types other than heavy drooped, dependency comes from distribution of those rare ear types. Three least squares models to test the effect of ear type and coat colors on growth performances were analyzed. First model analyzed effects on birth weight, body weight at 3 and 6 weeks and ADG' before weaning and between 3 and 5 weeks of age. This model included sex in addition to ear type and coat color. Second model analyzed postweaning growth traits (initial weight, final weight and ADG between these periods) upon initiation of performance testing. This model included effects of sex, test group and start age (as a covariate) in addition. Third model was fit for fasted weight before slaughter and included the effects of sex, test group and age at slaughter (as a covariate). The effects of sex and ear type were not significant source of variation for all traits. Test group was a significant source of variation for all the postweaning traits. Effect of coat color was not significant until the initiation of performance testing and became significant then after. Least squares means of dominantly black pigs were significantly lower than the other three coat colored pigs in final weight around 195 days of age and in ADG from the start of performance test and final weight measure.
