사질토지반에서 짧은 쇄석다짐말뚝의 배치형태에 따른 지지력특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Characteristics of Bearing Capacity for Rammed Aggregate Pier in Sand)

  • Rammed Aggregate Pier method is intermediate foundation of deep and shallow foundation, it has been built on world wide. But the investigation and research in domestic is not accomplished. In this paper, examined details of different spacing of piles, bearing capacities, respectively, conclude with recommendations on how RAP can be used in future needs. This documentation further provides comparisons of the laboratory test results which were obtained from differenciate the spacing of piles, namely installed rammed aggregate pier. Strain control test was conducted to determine the bearing capacities of the piers; 20mm, 30mm and 40mm diameter drilling equipment to drill holes were installed in sand at initial relative densities of 40%. By comparing different spacing of piles, in this experiment, piles are spaced structually span, form a ring shape, narrowing the distance of each other, to the center. the result shows that as diameter of pier is bigger in diameter, bearing capacity also dramatically increased due to raised stiffness. Also, the space between each piers narrowed, settlement rate of soil was decreased significantly. From the test results, as the space between each piles were getting closer, allows greater chances to have resistance to deformation, shows improved stability of structures.

  • City Train Technology that is large and complex system and consists of mechanical, electronic, electric, materials, computer, communication, civil/track etc. is very important area of railway industry, national fundamental industry. The standardization of city train system as a public transportation method and foundation of national economy is very important in order to do effective operation and to get fundamental technology, and the information system of the standards is required to operate the city train system effectively. By building data base of city train system design knowledge using computer-aided system engineering tool-Cradle, the system development issues and the design solutions are used by all engaged persons, and are managed by modeling and documentation. And this system will support architecture design consistently and effectively by applying this system to formalize early development process, to system requirements and configuration management, to system interface analysis and management and to system behavior analysis etc.. This study is for construction of data base of system design knowledge through making data base of many kinds of standards using CASE tool based on System Engineering Process, and introduces a model to support concurrent engineering for all engineers involved in system development allowing access to standard DB through Web from anywhere and at anytime.

  • 빠르게 변하는 정보화 사회에서 방대한 양의 문서 정보를 전자 문서로 만들고 관리하는 것은 필수적이다. 이러한 전자 문서를 표현하는 데 있어서 사용하는 문서 내에 포함된 모든 정보를 손실 없이 저장하고 관리하는데 적합한 언어가 전자 문서의 표준인 XML이다. 본 논문에서는 문서의 변경이 발생한 경우에 문서 전체가 아닌 변경이 발생한 내용만 버전을 부여하고 저장함으로써 저장 공간을 절약하였다. 그리고 문서의 변경 내용이 일정한 크기 이하이면 JOIN 연산을 생략할 수 있도록 시스템을 설계함으로써 JOIN 연산으로 인한 시스템의 성능 저하를 줄여 효율적인 XML 문서 저장과 빠른 검색 및 버전 관리가 가능한 방안을 제시하고, 이를 적용한 문서 저장 관리 시스템을 구현하였다.

Standard-based Integration of Heterogeneous Large-scale DNA Microarray Data for Improving Reusability

  • Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) has kept the largest amount of gene-expression microarray data that have grown exponentially. Microarray data in GEO have been generated in many different formats and often lack standardized annotation and documentation. It is hard to know if preprocessing has been applied to a dataset or not and in what way. Standard-based integration of heterogeneous data formats and metadata is necessary for comprehensive data query, analysis and mining. We attempted to integrate the heterogeneous microarray data in GEO based on Minimum Information About a Microarray Experiment (MIAME) standard. We unified the data fields of GEO Data table and mapped the attributes of GEO metadata into MIAME elements. We also discriminated non-preprocessed raw datasets from others and processed ones by using a two-step classification method. Most of the procedures were developed as semi-automated algorithms with some degree of text mining techniques. We localized 2,967 Platforms, 4,867 Series and 103,590 Samples with covering 279 organisms, integrated them into a standard-based relational schema and developed a comprehensive query interface to extract. 문화 아카이빙 정착을 위한 방향 연구 (A Study of Establishing Culture Archiving)

  • 문화 아카이빙은 최근 많은 관심을 받고 있는 주제이다. 문화가 경쟁력인 시대적 배경과 기록학의 영역 확장 때문이다. 이에 따라 일상 아카이빙이나 마을 아카이빙과 같은 다양한 시도들이 전개되고 있고, 많은 연구들이 이루어졌다. 그러나 당위성을 설명하거나 실제 사례들을 보여주는 연구에 치중되어, 문화 아카이빙에 필요한 이론적 연구는 상대적으로 이루어지지 못하였다. 이 글은 문화 아카이빙에 있어 기록의 문화적 재현 가능성을 이론적으로 검토해보고, 문화아카이빙의 과정을 제시하였다. 또한 문화 아카이빙에 있어서 기록관리자의 생산에 대해 재검토 하였으며, 수용자가 부여한 가치를 중심으로 한 방법론을 제안하였다. 이를 위해 콘텐츠에 적합한 분류체계 설정과 재현방식의 아카이빙을 검토하였다.

Evaluation of the Capacity of Rural Communities in Indonesia to Improve the Economic Welfare

  • Purpose: This study evaluates the ability to improve the economic welfare of rural communities in Indonesia by using the inequality measures of the distribution of information between leaders and their people as a variable that weakens the capacity of increasing the welfare. Research Design, Data, and Methodology: The research designed by developing an instrument using data validity and reliability testing. Before, primary data collected through interviews, questionnaires, observation, and documentation on the selected respondents. Then, the research method used is mixed methods research, in which quantitative and qualitative methods combined. Result: The finding from this study is that there is an inequality measure in the form of a high gap between the score of information distribution obtained by the village government compared to the score of the community, which has led to the welfare of the village which is still at a moderate level and not ready to become a prosperous society. Conclusion: The weakness of the village community is related to two things, namely the behavior and knowledge of the community about the issues, so the implication is that there must be a strong effort from the central government to ensure that technology is more evenly distributed to all villagers.

The Importance of Employees Redistribution in South Sulawesi Higher Educations, Indonesia

  • Purpose: This research aims to provide solutions for human resource problems in public educational institutions to improve employee performance. Research design, data, and methods: The study used a quantitative approach with a survey method. Data were obtained through questionnaires and documentation. Meanwhile, the model used path analysis using Analysis Moment Structure (AMOS) software. Results: Results showed that there was a significant relationship between locus of control and redistribution variables on employee empowerment as well as on employee performance. This result implied that good management through the locus of control and employee redistribution in public organizations could be better to serve the community and organizations. Public change to be superior and demanded by the community to make it a good place to learn. Employees' good behavior and increasing competence can satisfy users of educational and sustainable institutions. Conclusion: To sum up, research on management development of locus of control and employee redistribution is needed to make public organizations, especially those engaged in education. This study provides academic implications by revealing that the locus of control factor and employee redistribution in public organizations are needed to improve institutional services.

  • 최근 분산 및 병렬 처리 기술 중 빠른 처리 속도를 제공하는 Apache Spark는 실시간 기능 및 머신러닝 기능을 제공하고 있다. 이러한 기능에 대한 공식 문서 가이드가 제공되고 있지만, 기능들을 융합하여 실시간으로 특정 값을 예측하는 방안은 제공되고 있지 않다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 이러한 기능들을 융합하여 실시간으로 데이터의 값을 예측할 수 있는 연구를 진행했다. 전체적인 구성은 Python 프로그래밍 언어에서 제공하는 주가 데이터를 다운로드하여 수집한다. 그리고 머신러닝 기능을 통해 회귀분석의 모델을 생성하고, 실시간 스트리밍 기능을 머신러닝 기능과 융합하여 실시간으로 주가 데이터 중 조정종가를 예측한다.

Construction Delay Analysis Using Daily Work Report Data for Short Construction Seasons

  • Some regions and states, such as Wyoming, have harsh weather conditions, forcing most transportation projects to be completed under tight schedules. However, construction projects are not only delayed by weather conditions, but also delayed by other factors such as contractor's competency, resource availability, coordination issues, and safety. Also, the construction method, geographical location of the projects, and inability to follow baseline schedules accurately due to the contractor's resource allocation are also reasons for the delay. This paper discusses the main reasons for the delay in the public transportation projects based on Daily Work Reports (DWRs) from five different transportation projects of the last three years in Wyoming. This paper focuses on the inconsistencies of the contractor's schedules to complete the project according to the baseline schedule. First, the authors collected DWRs and baseline schedules from the Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT). Second, the DWR data are compared against the baseline schedules to determine the reasons for delaying their significance. Finally, the paper presents the recommendations to mitigate the effects of delays on public transportation projects as well as to improve the documentation process of DWR data.

Bridging the Gap: Follow-up Strategies for Effective Software Architecture Implementation

  • Software architecture are High-level design decisions shaping a software system's components, structure, and interactions. It can be a blueprint for development, evolution, and ongoing maintenance. This research investigates the communication practices employed by software architects and developers to ensure adherence to the designed software architecture. It explores the factors influencing the selection of follow-up methods and the impact of follow-up frequency on successful implementation. Findings reveal that formalized follow-up procedures are not yet a ubiquitous element within the software development lifecycle. While electronic communication, particularly email, appears to be the preferred method for both architects and developers, physical and online meetings are utilized less frequently. Interestingly, the study suggests a potential confidence gap, with architects expressing concerns about developers' ability to faithfully implement the architecture. This may lead to architects providing additional clarification. Conversely, while most developers reported confidence in their software knowledge, overly detailed architecture documentation may pose challenges, highlighting the need for architects to consider alternative communication strategies. A key limitation of this study is the sample size, restricting the generalizability of the conclusions. However, the research offers valuable preliminary insights into the communication practices employed for architecture implementation, paving the way for further investigation with a larger and more diverse participant pool.
