A construction process involves many designers, engineers, contractors, consulting engineers and government officials. Thus, it is essential to promote collaboration among such participants through of effective document exchange. There have been efforts to Improve efficiency of document exchange through Web. Also XML/EDI is recommended by its method. So the purpose of the research was to establish the data model for document information management in document exchange for construction participants using web-based XML/EDI. This research proposed a method of modeling document information for systemic management of document information that exchanged by XML/EDI in central and explained concept of application document information that stored in database. This research classified construction document according to its information relation.

The exchange of model design data among heterogeneous CAD systems is very difficult because each CAD system has different data structures suitable for its own functions. STEP represents product information in a common computer-interpretable form that is required to remain complete and consistent when the product information is needed to be exchanged among different computer systems. However, STEP has complex architecture to represent point, line, curve and vectors of element. Moreover it can't represent geometry data of feature based models. In this study, a structure of XML document that represents geometry data of feature based models as neutral format has been developed. To use the developed XML document, a converter also has been developed to exchange modules so that it can exchange feature based data models among heterogeneous CAD systems. Developed XML document and Converter have been applied to commercial CAD systems.

EDI(Electronic Data Interchange) allows the exchange of business information and computer-processable data in a standard, structured format electronically between organizational entities. EDI handles the restructuring of a business document into the standard format so that it can be transmitted from one computer to another. This paper identifies features and technologies of web browsed electronic document exchange system as follows 1) the fundamental technologies that consists of the EDI technologies, the Internet/Web technologies, the security/authentication techniques, and the XML implementation technologies. 2) the functions that consists of the document standards, transfer technology of the document, encryption and authentication 3) the implemented Web-EDI systems that consists of document generation module, encryption and authentication module, transfer module, acknowledgement module, administration module. In this paper, the Web-based EDI system implemented from the researched technologies will be installed on the EDI servers owned by corporate customers and enable the exchange of documents between each installed companies.

The Request of the information exchange is increasing because of the advanced rapid science and technology. But a different system environment has occurred many problems on the information exchange. The information exchange on based XML is a solution to the problem. In construction projects, it is common to exchange documents using email because of convenience. In this study, a method extracting and organizing block information automatically based on email was developed. This method is composed of document exchange and archiving processes, which are difficult to manage and vulnerable to loss. Therefore, this study aims to develop a solution that can automatically link email and block information. The block data components are designed to derive from email exchange and user-additional input information. Also, automatically generating blocks process including extraction and conversion of information was proposed. This solution can lead to promote the convenience of project document management in terms of identifying the document flow and preventing loss of information.

The reason of a today business of the biggest change is commercial transaction through Internet. Also, the e-business based on XML was constructed. Thus, writing out necessary document for the as well as XML document. For the sharing and exchange of information between medical clinics, the clinical document has to be built on a standardized protocol such as a HL7-CDA. But it is difficult to exchange information between medical clinics because clinical document such as electronic medical record that include text and image, have different structure of document and type of expression. In this paper, we propose the electronic medical record system based on HL7-CDA that can share and exchange clinical information between medical institute. For this purpose, we have to design the schema of the clinical document architecture after we select the essential items of medical record and define templates. The proposed system can minimize integrating process and save parsing time when clinical information exchange and refer, by converting electronic medical record to base64 encoding scheme and integrate it in a XML document.

The document discusses the regeneration of Partisil/Partisphere ion-exchange columns in chromatography. It mentions that column efficiency can diminish with use due to the accumulation of sample and/or mobile phase impurities at the head of the column. This can lead to a change in back pressure, lower column efficiency, and sometimes a change in selectivity. The document outlines a procedure that may restore column performance. The document also provides everyday practices to enhance the lifetime of a column. These include using only high-purity HPLC solvents and buffers, using freshly prepared mobile phases and buffers, filtering mobile phases to remove particulates, using appropriate sample clean-up procedures, using a guard column or pre-column filter, and working within the pressure and flow rate limitations of the column. For the regeneration of Partisil/Partisphere SAX, SCX, WAX, and WCX columns, the document suggests passing 20 column volumes of various mobile phases through the column. These include a buffer wash, distilled water, an acid wash, a chelating wash, a methanol wash, and a buffer for separation. The document emphasizes that not all of these wash steps are required for every column clean-up and that some chromatographers require only a combination of certain steps.
