훼손비탈면에 식재된 자생목본류의 묘유형별 생육특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Growth Characteristics under Seedling Types of Native Woody Plants After Planting on the Disturbed Slope)

  • This research was initiated to investigate the revegetation characteristics under seedling types of native woody plants on a disturbed slope. 4 different seedling types of woody plants (control, unit seedling plot, nature seedling plot, pot seedling plot) with the same woody plants (Rhus chinensis Mill, Albizzia julibrissin Duraz., Quercus acutissima Carr., Pinus densiflora S. et Z.) were treated with 3 replications on the experimental disturbed slope. Data such as the died number of native woody plants, growth height and visual quality were analyzed. The died number of plants were high in unit seedling plot when compared to the rest plots of seedling types. From the standpoint of died plant species, the died number were high in Rhus chinensis and Albizzia julibrissin whereas the died number were low in Quercus acutissima and Pinus densiflora. That's because we used 1-year old seedlings of Rhus chinensis and Albizzia julibrissin and 3-year old seedling Quercus acutissima and Pinus densiflora. This result indicated that the died reason of native woody seedling was not species but seedling age. Both growth height and visual quality were ranked first in the pot seedling plot, second in the nature seedling plot, third in the unit seedling plot, and last in the control plot, respectively. However, the difference of both growth height and visual quality in each seedling plot was not observed on the 11 months after planting. Especially, the main reason of low rooting and growth value in the unit seedling plot was due to wooven fabric outer crust of pot that obstruct seedling rooting into the soil. We concluded that pot seedling of native woody plants was effective in the viewpoint of the ecological disturbed slope revegetation.

산불사면에 대한 토양침식모형의 적용 평가 - RUSLE, WEPP, SEMMA (Applying Evaluation of Soil Erosion Models for Burnt Hillslopes - RUSLE, WEPP and SEMMA)

  • 산불 사면의 토양침식에 대하여 세 개의 토양침식 모형의 적용성을 평가하였다. 영동지역에서 발생한 2000년 대규모 산불지역 조사구에서 조사된 자료가 분석에 사용되었다. 본 연구에서 채택한 토양침식 모형은 경험적 모형인 RUSLE, 물리적 모형인 WEPP의 산림지역 적용 모드, 산불사면을 대상으로 개발된 SEMMA이다. 이들 모형으로 산정한 지표유출량과 토양 침식량을 관측치와 비교하였다. 적용결과 모든 모형들은 토사유출량의 최대치를 저평가 하였으며, RUSLE와 WEPP은 2배 이상의 차이를 보였다. SEMMA는 가장 좋은 모형반응계수, 결정계수, 모의효율을 나타내었다. 산불발생 경과연수에 따른 모형 적용 평가에서 산불에 의해 교란된 초기 단계에서는 모든 모형이 저평가하였다. 산불 사면에 대한 토양침식 모의 결과는 관측치가 크면 과소 예측하는 경향을 보였다. 산불직후 반발수력이 커진 고은입자 토양의 과대 노출로 작은 규모의 강우에도 많은 양의 토사유출이 발생할 수 있음에도 불구하고 이와 같이 과소 예측하는 것은 이들 모형이 산불의 영향으로 가중되는 토양침식 영향인자를 반영하는데 한계를 갖고 있기 때문으로 보인다.

Plant Settlement Patterns and Their Effects on Breeding Sites of Little Terns (Sterna albifrons) on Sand Bars on Ganwol Lake

  • We analyzed soil characteristics, soil seed banks, and plant communities in a small islet in Ganwol Lake from May 2005 to August 2006 to examine the forces driving plant settlement on sand bars and the effects of plant settlement patterns on nesting sites of little terns (Sterna albifrons). The soil nutrients contents in a site where the feces of wintering birds accumulate (N: 15.4 mg/kg, P: 10.5 mg/kg, LOI: 0.51 %, pH: 6.8) and a site where organic sediments accumulate (N: 20.7 mg/kg, P: 16.4 mg/kg, LOI: 0.40%, pH: 6.6) were much higher those of a control site which was not affected by bird feces and organic sediments (N: 4.1 mg/kg, P: 5.4 mg/kg, LOI: 0.41%, pH: 6.7). However, a seed bank was formed only on the site with accumulated organic sediments. Plant settlement was accelerated by feces from wintering birds and organic sediment accumulation on sand bars in Ganwol Lake. The percentage of area disturbed by human activities increased from 0.2% in May 2005 to 13.9% in August 2006, and the percentage of annual communities increased from 27.5% to 43.3%, but the percentage of open area decreased from 55.2% to 28.0% from May 2005 to August 2006. These increases in disturbed area and annual communities decreased the open area for breeding of little terns. The enlargement of P. communis and T. angustata communities was suppressed by irregular flooding. These results provide useful information for the management of little tern breeding sites for conservation purposes.

화강토의 전단강도 및 변형특성 (A Characteristics of Shear Strength and Deformation of Decomposed Granite Soil)

  • 화강토는 일반 퇴적토와는 달리 풍화도, 입자파쇄성등 시료의 초기상태에 따라 전단거동을 달리하는 특성을 가지므로 각 경우에 대한 응력-변형률 관계를 밝히고 전단강도의 변화특성을 조사할 필요가 있다. 이와같은 관점에서 본 연구에서는 모암조성성분 및 풍화도를 달리하는 4개지역의 화강토를 채취하여 불교란 및 교란(정적다짐)상태에서 직접전단시험과 삼축압축시험(CU, CD)을 수행하였다. 이 결과 불교란화강토의 응력-변형률거동은 구속압이 작을때는 과압밀점토의 응력경로거동처럼 경화에서 연화거동을, 교란화강토는 풍화도에 관계없이 퇴적점토와 같은 경화-일정거동을 나타내었다. 또한, 통상적인 직접전단시험에서 얻는 점착력은 특히, 불교란화강 토에서 과대평가 되는 경향이 있으며 삼축압축시험에서의 응력비(q/p')와 체적변형률증뚠비 (dv/de)의 관계는 함수비, 풍화도, 구속압력, 교란에 관계없이 하나의 식($dv/d\varepsilon,=\alpha(M-\eta))$으로 근사화시킬 수 있었다.

  • Undrained triaxial tests were peformed for a weathered soil, which includes local measurement using LVDT The behavior from small In large strain conditions could be evaluated consistently through a triaxial test, The stress-strain relationship of undisturbed samples were compared with the disturbed and the shear moduli in the small strain level had the almost same values. Especially the shear moduli were mostly affected by the initial condition of water contents. An anisotropic hardening model based on the total stress concept could predict the stress-strain relationship accurately, which makes it possible to analyze the geotechnical problem reasonably for the weathered soil.

남산에서 세포성 점균의 출현과 분포 (Occurrence and Distribution of Cellular Slime Molds in Mt. Nam)

  • In this study, the occurrence and distribution of dictyostelid cellular slime molds was investigted from soils of typical forests in Mt. Nam and the effect of soil environmental factor on cellular slime molds was investigated. The fourteen species including two undescribed species were isolated as follows: Dictyostelium brefeldianum, Polysphondylium pallidum, P. violaceum, P. pseudo-candidum in Quercus mongolica-Sorbus alnifolia forests, D. purpureum, D. mucoroides var. stoloniferum, D. dimigraformum, D. brefeldiamum, P. pallidum, P. tenuissimum, P. violoceum, P. candidum, P. pseudo-candidum in Pinus densiflora forests, D. polycephahum, D. capitatum, d. brefeldianun, P. candidum in Robinia pseudo-acacia forests, D. purpureum, D. aureostipes var, aureostipes, D. polycephalum in Quercus acutissima forests, D. minutum, D. implicatum. in the site disturbed by human. The dominant species were P. pallidum, D. brefeldiamum, P. pseudo-candidum and D. dimigraformum were the undescribed species in Korea. Environmental factors such as soil pH, water content, organic content, total nitrogen and total phosphorus made a little effect on total species number, the number of clones.

산림(山林)의 토양환경(土壤環境) 조건(條件)에 따른 수지상(樹枝狀) 균근(菌根)(AM)균(菌) 집단(集團)의 종(種) 다양성(多樣性) (Species Diversity of Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi Community Depending on Environmental Conditions of Forest Soils)

  • Arbuscular mycorrhizal(AM) fungi have significant role for ecosystem structure and function. They are the major component of forest soil ecosystems and critically important for water and nutrient cycling in the system. To understand the ecology of AM fungi the fungal spores were collected, identified and counted in forest soils under various climatic and edaphic conditions. In relation to soil depth 90% of AM fungi spores and mycorrhizas distributed within 15cm soil depth. Number of spores per $100m{\ell}$ forest soil volume was 5 to 36 spores from 1 to 3 fungal species. AM fungal species diversity was higher in warmer climates, and more moist and fertile soils. The most frequently found species were Gigaspora decipiens irrespective of soil moisture and Gi. gigantea irrespective of soil fertility. In the Jeju island the soils of Cryptomeria japonica plantations and Miscanthus sinensis var. purpurascens meadow had more AM spores than the other soils. We suggest AM fungi be considered as keystones species when restoring a disturbed forest ecosystem.

광양만 임해 매립지 느티나무 식재지 토양의 수직적 특성 변화 (Property Changes of Vertical Soil Layers Planted with Zelkova serrata(Thunberg) Makino on the Reclaimed Land from the Sea in the Gwangyang Bay, Korea)

  • This study was carried out to elucidate the vertical characteristics of soil properties at six planted sites of land reclaimed from the sea, in Gwangyang Bay, Jeollanam-do Province, Korea. Based on the types of planting site, the chemical properties of the vertical soil layers varied. The vertical variation was great in the planting sites $Z_1\;and\;Z_2$, but less varied in the mounded planting sites $Z_3,\;Z_5,\;and\;Z_6$. Major reasons for the vertical variation in soil chemical properties included differences in the accumulation of organic matter, soil disturbance by heavy construction equipment, and heterogeneity of soil properties between soil horizons. As soil depths increased, soil salts varied. The electrical conductivity (ECe) increased in the lower areas of planting sites $Z_1\;and\;Z_2$, and the disturbed, saline planting site $Z_3$, but decreased in the lower areas of $Z_3,\;Z_5,\;and\;Z_6$. These tendencies did not coincided with exchange cation concentrations $(Na^+,\;K^+,\;Mg^{++},\;Ca^{++})$. Both total carbon (T-C) and total nitrogen (T-N) accumulated more in the lower areas of planting sites than in the higher areas, and levels were higher closer to the surface than in the soil depths. It is supposed that these tendencies are related to the accumulation of fallen leaves or other organic matter at the soil surface, and the soil chemicals then slowly move downward from the surface. Impediments to tree growth included soil hardiness, high soil salinity and exchangeable cation concentration, low soil moisture content, acidic or alkaline soil, low organic matter, heterogeneity of soil texture and establishment of soil stratification.

지진이후 강우의 산사태 발생 영향성 평가를 위한 토양물성값 변화 분석 (Evaluating the Influence of Post-Earthquake Rainfall on Landslide Susceptibility through Soil Physical Properties Changes)

  • 연구목적: 국내에서 지속적으로 지진이 발생하고 있기 때문에 지진 발생 후에 대한 산사태 유발 임계강우량의 하향 조정이 요구되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 토양의 물리적 실험을 통해 지진 발생 이후 산사태 예·경보를 위한 임계강우량 조정의 과학적 근거 확보 및 기초자료를 제공할 목적으로 수행되었다. 연구방법: 절토 사면에서 채취한 교란 및 비교란 시료를 대상으로 직접전단시험을 통한 토양의 전단강도 변화를 분석하고, 건조 및 습윤 조건으로 재성형된 시료의 수침후 포화도에 따른 토양의 강도정수를 분석하였다. 연구결과: 다짐함수비를 변화시키며 직접전단시험을 수행한 결과 교란시료 함수비 및 포화도가 증가할수록 점착력은 50% 이상 감소하였고, 전단저항각은 1~2° 감소하였다. 또한, 링전단시험 중 물을 공급한 결과 전단면에 물이 침투되는 순간부터 전단강도의 값이 서서히 감소되는 것으로 나타났으며, 최대전단강도는 약 65~75%, 잔류전단강도는 약 53~60% 감소하였다. 결론:지진과 이후 강우가 발생하였을 때는 사면붕괴 가능성이 증가하므로 이에 대한 대책이 필요하며, 본 연구의 결과는 지진이 발생한 지역에서 산사태를 유발하는 강우임계값을 하향해야 하는 과학적 근거 및 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

지표면의 수분분포가 야생초본류의 발생에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Soil Surface Moisture Distribution in Perlite on Occurrence of Wild Plants)

  • This study was conducted to analyse the relation between physical characteristics of soil surface and wild plants occurrence. Lots of natural occurrence on loamy soil and a little of natural occurrence on perlite. Those were used to observe the wild plants occurrence through the duration. Natural occurrence of wild plants were observed on uniform sand, perlite, loamy soil and 2cms loamy soil layer above the perlite. Uniform sand was compared with different height of drain ditch. The results of analysis were as followed. 1. Wild plants germinated on the uniform perlite layer, they did not grow larger. Because water in large pores of perlite surface drained rapidly and evaporated easily, therefore surface remained low moisture contents. 2. A lot of weed grew on 2cms loamy layer on perlite which stratified above the perlite layer. Because perlite had plenty of soil moisture and soil moisture moved easily from perlite to loamy soil layer. 3. Uniform loamy soil had similar occurrence on the uniform perlite. It was nearly same at surface moisture distribution but lower than layered loamy soil on perlite, and the vertical distributions at soil moisture was totally lower than 2cms loamy soil layer on perlite. 4. Wild plants were grew on uniform sand on different height of drain ditch. In this case, much more wild plants were grew on which had more higher drainage ditch. The number of wild plants occurred when it was affected by soil surface moisture, drain ditch and natural occurrence of wild plants. This could be controlled by layered soil at surface moisture. Therefore weed occurrence can control in planting ground, where soil layer would not be disturbed.
