Purpose - This study aims to present ways to secure capable employees by examining key factors of internal marketing applicable to the jewelry distribution business and analyzing the relations among organizational commitment, job satisfaction, and turnover intentions among employees who play important roles in jewelry distributors. Research Design, data, and methodology - To examine these research models, samples were collected from 210 individuals working in jewelry distribution companies. The analysis was conducted by the use of a questionnaire method among employees in jewelry distribution companies. SPSS 18.0 were utilized for data analysis. Results - Among internal marketing components of jewelry distribution companies, the two factors - management support and reward system - have positive (+) effect on organizational commitment and while internal communication and education/training have negative (-) effect on employees' turnover intention. Jewelry distribution company employees' job satisfaction and organizational commitment have negative (-) effect on their turnover intention. Conclusions - This is an exploratory study that aims to find out ways to prevent employee turnover in the perspective of jewelry distribution companies' organizational measure - internal marketing. The future study needs to present more sophisticated strategies of internal marketing based on in-depth analysis of specific causes that make employees at jewelry distribution companies leave the occupations.
Purpose: Distribution competence plays a key role in supply chain management. A successful distribution system will bring high values and profit for company. Omni-channel is a modern type of distribution which is used by many companies to access customers more effectively. This research is about the influence of distribution competence on customer value creation, competitive advantage and business performance of retailers in omni-channel. Research design, data and methodology: Questionnaires were issued to 200 managers who have experiences in using an Omni-channel to provide consumer goods. PLS-SEM is used to check the relationship among these above factors in omni-channel in Vietnam context. Results: Distribution competence has positive direct effect on business performance. At the same time, it has positive indirect effect on business performance through the mediating role of customer value creation and competitive advantage. Moreover, the role of mediating variables make contribution to strengthen the relationship of distribution competence and business performance in omni-channel. Conclusions: Through distribution competence, retailers can get competitive advantage, create more values for customers and increase business performance in omni channel in Vietnam.
Purpose: This study is to analyze the purchasing process and distribution management requirements for teaching materials that have important meaning in the practical field of preschool education. Research design, data and methodology: A structured questionnaire was used to survey 103 childcare staffs regarding the purchasing process and distribution managements. The collected data underwent Likert's 5-point scale analysis and keyword grouping. Additionally, ANOVA was conducted to examine the distribution management demands based on demographic characteristics. Results: The purchasing of teaching materials involved more offline channels than online, and the purchase decisions were predominantly made by principals rather than teachers. Although the purchasing process is similar to that of general businesses, there are difficulties in purchasing due to the disorganized distribution channels and limited accessibility to product information. Additionally, the management of inventory for teaching materials is challenging due to limited personnel and storage. Childcare staffs have requirements for classification systems, evaluation criteria, environments and policies related to teaching materials distribution. The need to introduce a teaching material evaluation and certification system to ensure quality was not high. Conclusions: Most of the respondents recognized that strict management and measures should be taken for the distribution of teaching materials. There were differences in the demand of teaching material distribution depending on the respondents' status, age, education, and experience.

Purpose: Evaluating hotel performance is crucial in the tourism industry, and expanding knowledge through value-centric innovation in distribution is approached from the service-dominant logic perspective. This study aims to explore and enhance understanding of efforts to improve hotel performance by introducing a new concept of significant value-centric innovation in distribution. A novel proposition is presented, synthesizing diverse marketing innovations through the lens of service-dominant logic to foster originality. Research Design, Data, and Methodology: Data from 166 respondents across various levels of hotel structural positions in Indonesia were analyzed using SEM-PLS. The relationship between market orientation and hotel performance was explored using the SEM-PLS technique. Results: The findings indicate that market orientation contributes to enhancing hotel performance. Additionally, value-centric innovation in distribution is crucial in addressing inconsistencies observed in previous studies and indicators related to variables significantly affecting hotel performance. Moreover, value-centric innovation in distribution directly improves performance indicators. Conclusions: The practical implication of this research is leveraging market orientation to enhance hotel performance. Hotel owners are encouraged to effectively implement value-centric innovation in distribution by fostering collaboratively generated shared value creation.

By using Tukey's generalized lambda distribution, appoximate posterior density is derived under the Bayes-empirical Bayes model. The sensitivity of posterior distribution to the hyperprior distribution is examined by using Tukey's generalized lambda distriburion which approximate many well-knmown distributions. Based upon Monte Varlo simulation studies it can be said that posterior distribution is sensitive to the cariance of the prior distribution and to the symmetry of the hyperprior distribution. Also posterior distribution is approximately obtained by using the following methods : Lindley method, Laplace method and Gibbs sampler method.

In this paper, we introduce the inverted exponentiated Weibull (IEW) distribution which contains exponentiated inverted Weibull distribution, inverse Weibull (IW) distribution, and inverted exponentiated distribution as submodels. The proposed distribution is obtained by the inverse form of the exponentiated Weibull distribution. In particular, we explain that the proposed distribution can be interpreted by Marshall and Olkin's book (Lifetime Distributions: Structure of Non-parametric, Semiparametric, and Parametric Families, 2007, Springer) idea. We derive the cumulative distribution function and hazard function and calculate expression for its moment. The hazard function of the IEW distribution can be decreasing, increasing or bathtub-shaped. The maximum likelihood estimation (MLE) is obtained. Then we show the existence and uniqueness of MLE. We can also obtain the Bayesian estimation by using the Gibbs sampler with the Metropolis-Hastings algorithm. We also give applications with a simulated data set and two real data set to show the flexibility of the IEW distribution. Finally, conclusions are mentioned.
Purpose - The purpose of this study is to systematically review the background of the Korean distribution promotion policy and distribution adjustment policies along with related regulations and policies. Research design, data, and methodology - Domestic distribution policy and relevant laws were examined through a review of existing research literature. The results of the development process of the domestic distribution policy, promotion policies, and adjustment policies are summarized below. Results - The results are summarized as follows. First, the purpose of the development of the domestic distribution promotion policy was to strengthen the competitiveness of the small and medium business industry through structural advancement of the small and medium industry. By expanding the managerial base for the small and medium industry, a new balance could be created in the national economy. There was a requirement for an early assistance policy for small and medium businesses as a base of these businesses in the distribution industry developed from their original model of catering to a traditional market of retail shops. Since 1996, there was a need for this early assistance policy due to the expansion and rapid growth of large scale stores causing a change in the consumption pattern for distribution markets and the decline of large enterprises. Second, the government supports small and medium business distribution through distribution promotion policies by supporting an organization promoting small business and supporting innovation in the distribution system. Third, in 1961 a business mediation system was established to protect small and medium industries. The Small and Medium Business Administration advises conglomerates to postpone acquisitions, restrain expansion of the business, or to reduce business scale if small businesses undergo an adverse effect such as decreasing demand because large companies are expanding into their areas. Fourth, the Distribution Adjustment Policy managed large-scale store regulation as follows: ① limitation on construction by urban planning ordinance, ② limitation on location based on traffic impact assessments, ③ regulation based on business guidelines by chiefs of autonomous bodies, ④ regulation on mandatory holidays and limitation of business hours. This large-scale store regulation is a policy introduced by authority to increase competitiveness of small and medium business distribution by the government. Conclusions - As discussed in this study, the distribution promotion policy and distribution adjustment policy are government distribution policies focused on the protection of the small and medium distribution businesses. This study is timely, since it was planned when the strengthening of the revisions of the Distribution Industry Development Act, aimed to protect small and medium retailers and merchants, was under discussion. The significance of this study is that it offers insights for the development of new policies in the future and an opportunity to consider the background of the distribution policy by the government.
This study intends to examine the distribution channel of the most popular ten species caught in Korean coastal and off-shore fisheries with the aid of interviewing fish brokers and cooperative staffs in fish landing markets. This paper finds and emphasizes the following three suggestions, in order to improve the present scheme of fish distribution system. Firstly, annual catch of 10 kinds of fishes is successively decreasing in quantity from 1994 to 1998. Moreover annual catch shows larger variations than fish price and cooperative sales quantity. Except sea eel and sole, cooperative sales accommodates more than 90% of the fish landed, accounting for the small variation in cooperative sales, which invalidates the effectiveness of the free distribution system adopted by the government. Secondly, diversified distribution channels are exposed according to the nature of the fish, the method to harvest, and the quantity caught. Large retailers such as discount stores, super chains and home shopping institutions are actively involving themselves in direct purchase in fish landing markets. Through the analysis of distribution routes, the general distribution channel of fresh fish has been found such as producers longrightarrow fish brokers in landing markets longrightarrow fish brokers in central wholesale markets longrightarrow wholesalers longrightarrow retailers longrightarrow consumers. In order to reduce distribution margin through the analysis of distribution function and distribution margin, this paper presents a new distribution channel such as producers longrightarrow fish brokers in landing markets longrightarrow wholesalers longrightarrow retailers longrightarrow consumers. Thirdly, to improve the fish landing markets, this paper suggests the M&A of uneconomical fish landing markets or renovating toward wholesalers, introduction of processing services and improvement of processing facilities, subsidizing fish brokers in landing markets, revitalization of marketing divisions in cooperatives and improvement in fish auction system.
Purpose - This research aims to examine the effect of e-business adoption on firm's growth and profitability in the distribution industry. The value added from the distribution industry acts as the cost of other industries. As the distribution industry develops, its stage becomes shorter and the distribution margin becomes smaller. Therefore, e-business is expected to have a different effect on the distribution industry than other industries. Research design, data and methodology - The previous research generally used e-business adoption as an independent variable and firm's performance as a dependent variable. This study elaborated the model using a dynamic panel model that includes the performance variable of the previous year as an independent variable. By employing system GMM (Generalized Method of Moments), the endogeneity problem in the dynamic panel model can be solved. For the analysis, I extracted the distribution companies as the raw data in the National Statistical Office's Business Activity Survey over the period 2006 to 2012. Results - The growth rate of firms adopting e-business was 0.299%p higher than that of the non-adopter. However, only ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), KMS (Knowledge Management System) and SCM (Supply Chain Management) contributed positively to the growth rate. In the case of profitability, it was 0.04%p higher than the distribution companies that did not adopt e-business. ERP and LMS (Learning Management System) improve profitability, while SCM reduces profitability. Consequently, while ERP improves both growth and profitability, SCM improves growth but reduces profitability. In addition, KMS improves firm's growth only, and LMS does only profitability, showing that each e-business has a differentiated effect. Conclusions - Since the distribution industry has different characteristics from manufacturing and other service industries, the introduction of e-business may not guarantee the growth and profitability of distribution companies. Careful introduction considering the characteristics of the distribution industry is required. In particular, it is necessary to select an e-business meeting the characteristics and needs of a distribution company, and thereafter, it is required for the company's own efforts to internalize it within the system.
