  • Owing to the strike of lightning a breakage of insulator would happen. This breakage may give rise to many problems such as increment of reclosing failure, a drop for reliance and a hardship of maintenance and repair. To solve those problem, this study develop a protected equipment for insulator which is suitable to 22.9[kV] distribution line towers and is purposed to investigation for a Proper adaption, Protection efficiency of insulator and effect of adaption.

  • In this study, the alumina for gas sensor was prepared by anodic oxidation. It was stable thermally and chemically, and pore diameter and pore distribution was uniform. And the shape of pore was cylinderical. The aluminum plate was carried out by the thermal oxidation, chemical polishing and electropolishing pretreatment. The pore diameter, pore size distribution, pore density and thickness of alumina was observed with the change of reaction temperature, electrolyte concentration and current density. As a results, It was able to use for carrier because alumina which was prepared by anodic oxidationhas uniform pore size distribution.

  • In this paper, we derive the maximum likelihood estimator(MLE) and some approximate maximum likelihood estimators(AMLEs) of the scale parameter in an exponentiated half logistic distribution based on progressively Type-II censored samples. We compare the proposed estimators in the sense of the mean squared error(MSE) through a Monte Carlo simulation for various censoring schemes. We also obtain the AMLEs of the reliability function.

  • Measurement technique of three dimensional electric field distribution in liquid dielectrics have been studied. Kerr effect and computed tomography(CT) method have been used. Measuring time has been shortened by the use of multi-optical systems to less than several milliseconds. Near future, electric field distribution in front of a streamer tip of breakdown would be measured.

  • Environmental regulation affects real income distribution as well as resource allocation. The consumers' quality of life is sure to be improved by the pollution abatement, but consumers should pay part of the abatement cost through the increased prices of consumption goods they purchase. This paper computes pollution abatement costs that each of 15 income classes in Korea paid indirectly by consuming goods whose prices include the abatement cost in 1993. The distribution of pollution abatement costs among income classes turns out to be regressive as expected.

  • We obtain the approximate maximum likelihood estimators (AMLEs) for the scale and location parameters $\theta$ and $\mu$ in the three-parameter Weibull distribution based on Type-II censored samples. We also compare the AMLEs with the modified maximum likelihood estimators (MMLEs) in the sense of the mean squared error (MSE) based on complete sample.

  • In this paper we introduce a new score generating (unction for the rank regression in the linear regression model. The score function compares the $\gamma$'th and s\`th power of the tail probabilities of the underlying probability distribution. We show that the rank estimate asymptotically converges to a multivariate normal. further we derive the asymptotic Pitman relative efficiencies and the most efficient values of $\gamma$ and s under the symmetric distribution such as uniform, normal, cauchy and double exponential distributions and the asymmetric distribution such as exponential and lognormal distributions respectively.

  • The moment(MM) and least squares(LS) estimations of the parameters are derived for the Pareto distribution in the presence of outliers. Further, we have derived a mixture method(MIX) of estimations with MM and LS that shows that the MIX is more efficient. In the final section we have given an example of actual data from a medical insurance company.
