  • The link e daggregation between 10GbE switches requires an advanced framistribution method to be properly and efficiently applied. The fixed or dynamic frame distribution methods, formerly proposed, cannot fully utilize the aggregated links, where the receiving terminal only attaches to a pre-specified link among multiple physical links. A frame distribution method using padding is proposed for the link aggregation between 10GbE switches to solve this problem. We compared the performance of the proposed method with those of the static and dynamic frame distribution methods. As a result, the proposed method shows a better performance when the offered load is below 0.7 and the average length of the frames is longer than 954 bytes.

  • In this paper, we suggest a strategy to implement RFID in the Marine Equipment Distribution Center. Although RFID technology has be applied to the various business areas, due to the immature technological market and other reasons, for the successful RFID implementations, it is necessary for the company to review RFID implementations methodology. The aims of the Marine Equipment Distribution Center is to share storages for the marine equipment enterprises and to gain the max efficiency in the logistics flow. To achieve this goal RFID can be one of the alternatives. This paper suggests major issues that can help to reach the successful implementation of RFID in the distribution center.

  • PURPOSES : This study was done to model the headway distribution of rural two lane roads. METHODS : Time headway data for the various level of traffic volumes was measured in twelve sites. Based on the time headway data, existing seven mathematical models were evaluated and selected by comparing graphically the measured and theoretical distributions and conducting the Chi-square test. RESULTS : The results show that both the Schul model and Composite Model were the most appropriate models of the models. Based on the measured time-headway distributions, this study proposed a new headway distribution model by the shift of the Schul model. CONCLUSIONS : The shifted Schul model has the ability to describe time headway distirbutons for random, intermediate, and constant-headway states.

  • In torch weaving in arc welding on V groove, the heat input distribution on groove surface is a main factor determining the bead shape and the weld quality with and without the weld defects such as undercut, overlap, etc. In this study, we calculate the heat input varying with the welding current, arc voltage, welding speed and the touch weaving condition using numerical method. And we investigate the heat input distribution on groove surface while applying the various grooves having 2 dimensional heat sources.

  • This year marks the full liberalization(i.e., opening up) of the Korean distribution market to foreign firms. Therefore, we are likely to see much activity by foreign retailers who will be entering the Korean market and indigenous retailers trying to depend their current market positions. The liberalization of Korean distribution market will undoubtedly lead to some erosion of market share of indigenous retailers, but the benefits of rationalization of distribution, stable consumer prices, strengthened competitiveness of indigenous retailers far outweigh the costs. With liberalization, we are likely to see increased growth of "New Modes of Retailing(NMR)." In this paper, I describe the distinguishing characteristics of NMR as economies of scale, self service, large physical facilities, low-to-medium price, and systemization. I also describe the similarities and differences between the various types of NMR. Finally, I describe the fit between the various forms of NMR and the Korean consumer environment.vironment.

  • This paper is structured into three main parts and a conclusion. The main section provide definitions of efficiency, effectiveness and performance in terms of the distribution channel, followed by a review of related performance measurement, before discussing difficulties of measurement. According to the theoretical approach, it appears that key theroretical issues are centered around customer service, logistics excellence, time compression, the use of IT, and a move towards integrated logistics. The empirical approach shows that in the past, various financial performance indicators were regarded as relevant management information. However, today, management needs additional performance indicators. Therefore, external assessments of effectiveness must be performed to measure customers' satisfaction with the physical flow of product through the distribution channel network. So, what is needed is to take previous normative and explorative research and progress through a framework by developing valid measures of distribution channel's effectiveness and efficiency, and identifying research methodologies suited to the data collection requirements.

  • We present characterizations of the Pareto distribution by the independent property of upper record values in such a way that F(x) has a Pareto distribution if and only if $\frac{X_{U(n)}}{X_{U(m)}}$ and $X_{U(m)}$ are independent for $1{\leq}m. Futhermore, the characterizations should find that F(x) has a Pareto distribution if and only if $\frac{X_{U(n)}}{X_{U(n)}{\pm}X_{U(m)}}$ and $X_{U(m)}$ are independent for $1{\leq}m.

  • Purpose: This research aims to analyze the influence of relational penetration capability on salesperson performance and the influence of customer orientation, customer knowledge accessibility, and salesperson-customer relationship quality on the relational penetration capability of the insurance service industry in Central Java. Research design, data, and methodology: This explanatory research involved 211 respondents. Path analysis was used to analyze the primary data obtained. Results: The customer orientation positively influences relational penetration capability and customer knowledge accessibility which can improve salesperson performance. The salesperson-customer relationship quality shows a positive impact on the salesperson's relational penetration capability, salesperson performance, and relational penetration capability which will lead to an improved salesperson-customer relationship. Higher knowledge levels of customer necessity have important implications for a salesperson's capability of finding potential customers and of fulfilling customers' requirements through careful analysis of necessity. Conclusions: The salespeople should be capable of building and maintaining a good relationship with their customers as an indication that salespeople of Insurance Service Company Distribution in Central Java have good performance.

  • Fog radio access network (F-RAN) architectures provide markedly improved performance compared to conventional approaches. In this paper, an efficient genetic algorithm-based content distribution scheme is proposed that improves the throughput and reduces the transmission delay of a F-RAN. First, an F-RAN system model is presented that includes a certain number of randomly distributed fog access points (F-APs) that cache popular content from cloud and other sources. Second, the problem of efficient content distribution in F-RANs is described. Third, the details of the proposed optimal genetic algorithm-based content distribution scheme are presented. Finally, simulation results are presented that show the performance of the proposed algorithm rapidly approaches the optimal throughput. When compared with the performance of existing random and exhaustive algorithms, that of the proposed method is demonstrably superior.

  • The transmuted generalized extreme value (TGEV) distribution was first introduced by Aryal and Tsokos (Nonlinear Analysis: Theory, Methods & Applications, 71, 401-407, 2009) and applied by Nascimento et al. (Hacettepe Journal of Mathematics and Statistics, 45, 1847-1864, 2016). However, they did not give explicit expressions for all the moments, tail behaviour, quantiles, survival and risk functions and order statistics. The TGEV distribution is a more flexible model than the simple GEV distribution to model extreme or rare events because the right tail of the TGEV is heavier than the GEV. In addition the TGEV distribution can adjusted various forms of asymmetry. In this article, explicit expressions for these measures of the TGEV are obtained. The tail behavior and the survival and risk functions were determined for positive gamma, the moments for nonzero gamma and the moment generating function for zero gamma. The performance of the maximum likelihood estimators (MLEs) of the TGEV parameters were tested through a series of Monte Carlo simulation experiments. In addition, the model was used to fit three real data sets related to financial returns.
