  • Today, many companies will be isolated in competition if they do not have competitive power to overcome quick change and big crisis of market. Nowadays, globally high-grade companies have done their best for increasing their competitive power through a many kinds of methods in keen competition for making of pacesetting position. This study focuses on distribution with the domains like capacity, layout, amount of location, assignment of product, operation procedure and operation rule in order to improve these domains, we make a further application of eight analysis ways based on DMAIC method for improving operation of processes of distribution center as the third profit source. The purpose of this study is to seek an approach that can easily adopt of Lean Six Sigma in operational management of distribution center by a kind of data, analysis method and template.

  • The CTE (conditional tail expectation) is a useful risk management measure for a diversified investment portfolio that can be generally estimated by using a transformed univariate distribution. Hong et al. (2016) proposed a multivariate CTE based on multivariate quantile vectors, and explored its characteristics for multivariate normal distributions. Since most real financial data is not distributed symmetrically, it is problematic to apply the CTE to normal distributions. In order to obtain a multivariate CTE for various kinds of joint distributions, distribution fitting methods using copula functions are proposed in this work. Among the many copula functions, the Clayton, Frank, and Gumbel functions are considered, and the multivariate CTEs are obtained by using their generator functions and parameters. These CTEs are compared with CTEs obtained using other distribution functions. The characteristics of the multivariate CTEs are discussed, as are the properties of the distribution functions and their corresponding accuracy. Finally, conclusions are derived and presented with illustrative examples.

  • A simulation method is proposed to study the amorphous structure of carbon nitride. The material properties of a non-uniform nitrogen distribution in an amorphous CN matrix can be studied. The cohesive energy of a group of randomly generated atoms can be minimized to find the relative positions of atoms. From the calculated configuration of atoms, many properties of amorphous carbon nitride can be calculated such as bulk modulus, P-V curve, sp$^3$/sp$^2$ ratio of carbon, and vibrational spectra. The calculation shows that the cohesive energy of non-uniform nitrogen distribution is lower than that of a uniform distribution. This may suggest that the regular structure of carbon nitride can at most be metastable. It is not easy to incorporate nitrogen atoms into a carbon matrix.

  • The design of joints in a transformer core significantly affects the transformer's efficiency. Air gaps cause variations in the flux distribution at the joints of the laminations, which depend on the geometry. Two similar samples consisting of electrical steel strips and amorphous ribbons were made. The spatial flux distributions were determined using an array of search coils for each sample. 2D models of these samples were created and examined by finite element analysis. The magnetic flux distribution for each lamination in the samples was computed. The results show that the flux density in amorphous ribbons above and below the air gap starts to approach saturation at lower flux density levels than for electrical steel. The flux density measured using the search coil under the air gap is increased in amorphous ribbons and decreased in the electrical steel with increasing frequency.

  • The Drucker-Prager yield criterion is combined with an equilibrium equation to provide the elastic-plastic stress distribution within rotating annular hyperbolic discs and the residual stress distribution when the angular speed becomes zero. It is verified that unloading is purely elastic for the range of parameters used in the present study. A numerical technique is only necessary to solve an ordinary differential equation. The primary objective of this paper is to examine the effect of the parameter that controls the deviation of the Drucker-Prager yield criterion from the von Mises yield criterion and the geometric parameter that controls the profile of hyperbolic discs on the stress distribution at loading and the residual stress distribution.

  • Gel dosimeters have unique advantages in comparison with other dosimeters. Until now, these gels have been used in different radiotherapy techniques as a reliable dosimetric tool. Because dose distribution measurement is an important factor for appropriate treatment planning in different radiotherapy techniques, in this study, we evaluated the ability of the N-isopropylacrylamide (NIPAM) polymer gel to record the dose distribution resulting from the mixed neutron-gamma field of boron neutron capture therapy (BNCT). In this regard, a head phantom containing NIPAM gel was irradiated using the Tehran Research Reactor BNCT beam line, and then by a magnetic resonance scanner. Eventually, the $R_2$ maps were obtained in different slices of the phantom by analyzing T2-weighted images. The results show that NIPAM gel has a suitable potential for recording three-dimensional dose distribution in mixed neutron-gamma field dosimetry.

  • We shall consider the estimation for the parameter and the right tail probability in a general exponential distribution. We also shall consider the estimation of the reliability P(X < Y ) and the skewness trends of the density function of the ratio X=(X+Y) for two independent general exponential variables each having different shape parameters and known scale parameter. We then shall consider the estimation of the failure rate average and the hazard function for a general exponential variable having the density function with the unknown shape and known scale parameters, and for a bivariate density induced by the general exponential density.

  • Our country, is still suffering from much work outage, nearly 80% of total outage time, in 22.9kV-Y multi-grounded distribution lines. Therefore, KEPCO which is the sole utility owned by the Korean government ms developed outage-free work techniques to improve the reliability of power supply in Our country. This paper is to introduce the developing process and good effects of outage-free work techniques, and the equipment developed and applied in Our country. This paper will aid many utilities to try to reduce the work outage.

  • The mathematical properties of the sequentially operated systems are often described by integral equations. Reservoir system of a product and sequential probability ratio test (SPRT) are typical examples of sequentially operated systems. When the underlying random quantities follow Erlang distribution, a systematic method was developed to solve the integral equations. We extend the method to the cases having accrual functions of more general types. The solutions of the integral equations are represented as a linear combination of distribution functions, and the coefficients of the linear combination are obtained by solving linear system derived from the continuity condition of the solutions.

  • The multiply Type-II hybrid censoring scheme is disadvantaged by an experiment time that is too long. To overcome this limitation, we propose a generalized multiply Type-II hybrid censoring scheme. Some estimators of the scale parameter of the exponential distribution are derived under a generalized multiply Type-II hybrid censoring scheme. First, the maximum likelihood estimator of the scale parameter of the exponential distribution is obtained under the proposed censoring scheme. Second, we obtain the Bayes estimators under different loss functions with a noninformative prior and an informative prior. We approximate the Bayes estimators by Lindleys approximation and the Tierney-Kadane method since the posterior distributions obtained by the two priors are complicated. In addition, the Bayes estimators are obtained by using the Markov Chain Monte Carlo samples. Finally, all proposed estimators are compared in the sense of the mean squared error through the Monte Carlo simulation and applied to real data.
